• Wagner (10/5): - O lugar é lindo, o quarto maravilhoso e o atendimento excelente. Não tem recepção 24 horas, a entrada é feita com senha no portão. Reservamos com café da manhã incluído, mas o café da manhã é apenas iogurte e frutas na geladeira do quarto. Café, chá, mel e granola no armário do quarto. Na verdade, não tinha café da manhã, o que nos surpreendeu. O bairro é distante e totalmente residencial. Não é um bairro que se pode caminhar à noite. É escuro e não tem pessoas circulando. É necessário usar o Uber ou Bolt. O Bolt é excelente para circular para todos os lugares da cidade e os valores são a metade do preço do Uber, além de ser seguro e o aplicativo funcionar perfeitamente. Chegando e saindo com o Bolt não tivemos nenhum problema em estar nessa localização. Recomendamos com a ciência de que não tem realmente café da manhã e que para se locomover é necessário utilizar Bolt ou Uber.

• Emmanuelle (9/5): Well-equipped apartment in a quiet area of Johannesburg - The apartment is very spacious with a comfortable lounge area, a dining table and a well-equipped kitchen. Since it can become quite cold at night, there were 2 portable heaters to warm up the rooms if needed (the AC was broken). The complimentary breakfast supplies and wine bottle were really appreciated. The neighborhood is very peaceful and the instructions to get to the apartment were perfectly clear. The gas tank from the portable heater was empty, but the staff changed it right away so we were able to use it in the end. It would be nice to have access to alternative milk (oat, almond) in addition to cow milk.

• Berenice (8/5): Excellent location and very well appointed. - Maison Jacaranda was extremely well appointed, the kitchen was stocked with coffee, milk, fruit and rusks, and there was a gas heater and electric blanket and more than sufficient towels. The check-in/out process was very simple and we could do it ourselves with the lock box. The security was good and the parking was sufficient. The staff who I did meet were really excellent, and those who I spoke with via text were helpful and replied promptly. The location was fantastic for Parkview, just around the corner from excellent shops, and very close to hopping onto Jan Smuts to get to wider Joburg. Overall I very highly rate this property and would definitely stay here again. There are a few minor issues of soft furnishings they could tweak. Only half the electric blanket worked, and the standing lamp next to the bed needed replacing. Another lamp in the main area would have been nice too. I would also recommend a black out blind over the bed itself for better sleep. These were minor inconveniences though and I look forward to staying there again the next time I visit Joburg.

Unfortunately many things in the room had issues - tv, electric blanket, lamp had bad wiring. but the host tried to sort out. The owner doesn’t live on property, which we weren’t aware of so needs more attention. No mini bar as stated in info book. We weren’t shown any facilities on arrival.

• Bolao (10/5): Affordable, Clean, safe and quiet apartment. Feels just like home. - The staff was very friendly and helpful. The place was super clean and stocked with complementary fruit, lekker home made rusks and anything needed. We were given as much boxed water we asked for. After checkout we were offered to relax in a clean, comfortable patio poolside as our flight was an evening one. The guys just get this hospitality thing, 10/10 experience. I suspect that the geyser is solar powered so there as a bit of alternating from hot to cold

The bedroom curtain let plenty of light in. The place needs some maintenance - 2 lights were out, the kitchen tap is loose, the shower cubicle needs fixing and the door sides not shut easy. On Google the place is advertised as a hotel - not sure why, it's not a hotel. The stairs up to the apartment above the garage were unexpected and a bit tricky with my luggage.

• Efua (9/5): We had a wonderful time. The apartment, which was well-located was light, clean and comfortable. - The location was great as a family, with a toddler. The park is nearby and it's a lovely park that has lots of space and built equipment that is in good condition. The apartment was lovely, lots of light and equipped with the basics. The staff were wonderful and so helpful. It truly is such a gem in a beautiful tree-lined neighbourhood. It's a perfect resting place. The one-plate cooking stove was a bit fiddly to figure out in the beginning, but realised after reading the instruction materials that the hob required specific types of pots. Perhaps the correct pots could be stocked.

The room also had many other essential items that one could need - even a face cloth was provided. The location is excellent as well. the dog was not very nice to me. always barked at me. made it uncomfortable when I had to leave the room...also didn't like the long walk to the microwave.

Aggressive dog on premises and alarm remote didn't work so alarm went off early morning and I had to appease a confrontational security guard whilst trying to leave.
