Guest Reviews
- Terry (6/5): Unclean - The communication from the host was fine, prompt and informative. The property itself was a disappointment. It felt like the owner had popped out for a couple of days and would return at any moment. The place hadn’t been cleaned, yes the beds had been made and the bins had been emptied, but not cleaned.
We had long dark hairs everywhere. In our bed, shower, floors, everywhere. There was a strange spicy smell when we walked in.
There is no privacy, as you are on display to the whole neighbourhood most of the time. That said, I guess that could be expected.
We received numerous phone calls on the landline whilst we were there about google accounts or something or the other. That was a hinderance. The fire alarm was tested whilst we were there, another inconvenience. There’s a fire station nearby, expect to be woken up a couple of times a night with them responding to emergencies as the windows were thinly glazed.
The tv channels were disappointing. Hardly any of the channels worked. The water pressure was also disappointing, showers and taps resembled drizzles as opposed to anything else.
We were also disappointed that because we were guests and not actually residents that we couldn’t have food delivered to our room either. We had to spend 30 minutes waiting by the street door for our food as other people were able to have their food delivered. The consierge said this was because we used ‘airb&b’ although we actually booked through Expedia.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Property has a great location. It is clean but needs some attention. A few items made the stay not optimal. The main bedroom sink faucet work, but not as designed. We found only four glasses in the kitchen, three tall and three short, we had use cups to complete a toast. There was no detail of the available TV channels, we found ourselves switching between unavailable, French and channels we whanted to whatch. We couldn’t fine a full sheet set do the sleeping sofa. We found sheets all over the closets in disarray but couldn’t make a full, same sized set. At the end we were there for tourism not live in it.
Overall the property was good and in a great location.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Everything went smoothly frim checking in to checking out. We just found the place a little dirty... sticky floors, dirty counters and sinks. But other than that i would definitely stay there again. Beautiful Condo and great location.
- Andrew (10/5): 1 block from King and Spadina - Within a 15 minute walk you have almost everything worth seeing in Toronto. CN Tower. Kensington Market. Theatre District. Union Station. Spadina Ave. King St. Queen St. Within a 5 minute walk you have about a dozen coffee shops, 20 restaurants, 20 bars. Within a 15 minute walk you have hundreds. It is a bit of a walk to the nearest subway station, but there are lots of streetcar / bus connections. The fact that its technically facing a side street makes for an easy place to pick up taxis. 1 parking spot was included. I enjoyed driving down the spiraling parkade past BMW’s, Jaguars and Audi’s in my buddies old pickup truck.
The unit is a corner unit with a somewhat average view. Apartment was decently equipped for cooking, but with so many good restaurants nearby you probably won’t want to. 2 Bedrooms were separated by the living room/kitchen with a foldout sofa bed. You could comfortably fit 6 in this place, maybe another two on the foldout chairs if you want to squeeze people in. Having two full bathrooms is a really nice feature.
Didn’t have much interaction with any staff. The keys are in a dropbox at the side alley which made for a really quick “check-in” process.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Roomy Condo in the heart of downtown - It was well appointed. The furniture was comfortable, and there was lots of room. I quite enjoyed it and would stay there again.
