The room was beautiful Mountain View suite had a private bedroom, single bed right outside of the room and an upstairs double/queen that has an amazing view. The food there was amazing we had almost everything on the menu. The dinner for 2 or 4 was extremely delicious. All the cocktails were great. The pool was amazing. The service there is great. The staff Demetri, Joanne, and Sypro were so attentive and provided a great experience. The drive there is like following an unknowing trail wondering when you will arrive to the top of that hill. Once you get there you will be so happy you made it.

The houses are great to help you feel at home in the area and a good base to explore the mountains and close to Mystras. Very friendly staff and the breakfast was a fantastic spread.

- Joann (10/5): Fantastic 4 star hotel - Beautiful property in the middle of an olive orchard! Gorgeous pool area, amazing breakfast included. The property and rooms are gorgeous. We had a family suite with a loft that was spacious and beautiful. Staff made our stay even better!
- Alicia (10/5): - The location of this property is absolutely amazing. You have a 360 degree view of all of Sparti and the surrounding area. The food was also excellent, especially the breakfast (man they give you a lot of food, lol!). The place itself is very nice, though the room was a bit "Spartan", pun intended. It had everything we needed but the shower could have been a bit cleaner. The help was very polite and helpful. I would highly recommend this property if anything for the wonderful view.

- John (10/5): Awesome place and highly recommended - Our stay at the Melies Hotel was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and very hard working to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The pool area and restaurant views overlook the mountains, olive trees, and the wonderful city of Sparta. The rooms and accommodations were spacious and very clean. The breakfast included in your stay is full of fruits, breads , eggs , and coffees. The menu is full and there so many drinks to choose from alcoholic and non alcoholic. This place for a vacation or a quick short local get away is highly recommended for any size family and any age group you may have or be traveling with. Thai is place will be a return stay for our family for sure.

- Jacqueline (10/5): This is one place I'm definitely going back to - Sparta was one of the most beautiful places we saw when in Greece. Melies Hotel is a beautiful place to see the natural beauty of this region and relax. It is very peaceful. It is also quite close to town and not difficult to get into town.
- Mushtaq (4/5): - Decent property but felt rather creepy. Including us there may have been about 11 guests. All night long dogs howling and barking and on our way back from Dinner saw a lonely car parked in the parking lot with 2 men in there and they kept staring at us. Hence the creepy nature.

- Eileen (10/5): Gorgeous mountain retreat - Hotel Melies is a resort hotel on a hilltop overlooking Sparta and surrounded by spectacular mountain views in all directions. The structure of the lodgings itself is beautiful with arches, walkways, lovely gardens and pines, olive groves, and fig trees everywhere. Our room was comfortable with robes and slippers provides. There was a mini kitchen in the room including two electric burners and a roomy mini fridge. The wifi was pretty good given the somewhat remote locations I can see this hotel being an excellent getaway or great for a wedding or other get together. The hotel staff were super nice and accommodating.

- Daniel (10/5): Great view, wonderful place to stay! - Great, friendly, helpful staff! Incredible property and views! I would certainly stay here again. Breakfast was great and the room was clean. The ONLY thing I would suggest to them for improvement is better internet coverage to reach all areas of the property and to invest in better towels. It was certainly overall a good experience marred only by those two items we had some issues with.

- Patrick (10/5): Great views, great place - What a great place. Beautiful mountain retreat above Sparta and fairly close to the amazing Mystras. Delightful pool, nice restaurant/bar, large and comfortable room. Windy drive up the steep hill through a village, but it’s well marked.

On top of a hill overlooking Sparti and Mount Taigitos and there is a beautiful pool. Breakfast was lovely and the staff and owner were very welcoming and accommodating! 5stars!

They booked our onward connections to Patras also and were very helpful and kind at all time. We stayed an extra night than we had planned because the place was so nice. Room was very big also.

The hotel is not easy to find, but the hotel location justfies it. The room is organized in an inconvenient way. The bed is put just under the stairs. The shower is horrible.

- ben (8/5): - Pros: this hotel is located at the top of a hill, with a fantastic view of the surroundings and the moutains, very nice. The food was excellent, the best pizza we had in Greece. The rooms are actually all separated like mini-houses. Very private. Cons: location needs a car and a GPS. the neighborhood is not very nice, so walks outside the premises is not really great.

- Richard (10/5): You will regret it if you stay anywhere else. - First night of six traveling around the mainland. Hotel is wonderful. Only 2 years old. Rooms are spacious and quiet. A very large and comfortable couch to sit in the room. Food was great. Breakfast was wonderful. Staff very pleasant and attentive and the view is amazing. Just be wary of the drive up and down. Road is steep and narrow but with very little traffic other than the hotel.

- Esa (10/5): Beautiful hotel overlooking Sparta - We had a warm comfortable room with lovely views of the city below and Mystras in the distance. The hotel is new and it looks shiny and clean. It would be nice in the warmer weather as there is a big pool. The rooms are equipped with a fridge and a small stove, kettle and sandwich maker. We we very comfortable. The restaurant and staff were great. The breakfast was amazing, it kept us going for hours as we hiked to the top of Mystras and back.
