- Scott (8/5): Small but clean and adequate room - The guesthouse is a few blocks off the main road in the middle of a small town so there are nearby amenities including a great bakery with tasty pastries and breads and sandwiches which came in handy as the closest grocery store did not open until 10am. The building is unmanned and the codes that had been sent to us for getting in the front door and room worked fine. Everything was clean and the bed was comfortable and the duvet comfortable enough. Nice shower with strong water pressure and plenty of hot water with both an overhead and hand held feature, although the only thing separating the toilet from the shower is a flimsy shower curtain (which means the entire floor quickly got wet). There was a hot water pot with tea and hot chocolate packets but we did not use it. The room was quite tiny and the bed was pushed against the far walls to allow a small path to the desk and bathroom. We brought in only one of our two large suitcases and it took up the open space between the door and the bed. If we had brought in our second bag, it would have taken up the remaining floor space between the bed and the bathroom. Both the power button and the volume-up buttons on the TV remote did not work and apparently the TV was on and on silent mode when we arrived as, because the power-on button did not work, I clicked on the channel-up button and the new channel appeared.

- Paula (9/5): - Bien ubicado entre entre el aeropuerto y el círculo dorado, en una zona tranquila y fácil de aparcar. Auto check in cómodo y sencillo. Habitación sencilla, limpia y cómoda. Nosotros llegamos tarde y nos fuimos directos a dormir y salimos muy pronto, pero vimos en el pasillo una especie de máquina para agua/café.

Our room was clean, warm, and basic if not especially cozy. Coffee and tea were available in our room and there was lots of light. There was no common area for hanging out, which was surprising to us when it's named a "guesthouse," but that could just be our assumptions and perspective.

Lo staff è stato gentilissimo e sempre disponibile per ogni nostra esigenza. Nulla di rilevante, forse solo la pressione dell'acqua nella doccia che era un po' debole in certi orari.

- Marleen (10/5): Goede locatie, lekker schoon en een goed bed - Goede locatie, er is veel te doen in de omgeving. Leuke restaurantjes op loopafstand. De kamer was schoon, het bed lag heerlijk. Het is er lekker donker en rustig. Vanuit het kamerraam konden we zelfs het noorderlicht zien! De douche is heel klein, knappe jongen die het plakkende douchegordijn weet te verslaan. Klein verbeterpuntje: vervang het douchegordijn door een glazen deur. Alles is wel lekker schoon!

- Paul (7/5): Klein verblijf zonder frisse lucht - Erg kleine kamer, waarin geen frisse lucht komt. De deur van de badkamer liep uit de rails, waardoor ik een half uur opgesloten heb gezeten in de badkamer.

The bathroom sink was so tiny as to be barely functional - every time I bent over while brushing my teeth I hit my head on the mirror. There was no shelf or place to put my toiletries. Once I put my suitcase up on the suitcase stand there was no room to walk around the bed without banging into something. There was no room for the rest of my stuff except the floor. There was one broken hanger. The sheets were a horrible checkered rough material that was so uncomfortable I could not sleep. I had to put t-shirts over the pillow cases and take the duvet cover off because it was so uncomfortable and rough against my skin. Do not recommend.

I have been through Reykjadalur several times before and I like this whole area. They did not have a breakfast, but they suggest another hotel which can accommodate breakfast as well as a bakery. I go with these endorsements.

- Ken (8/5): - We liked the privacy, the coffee/tea in room, cleanliness, and the fact that we could check in a bit early. Also the Ukrainian house cleaners were wonderful, hard working. Thanks to the owners for giving them a chance to rebuild their lives! Location is also superb, and within 4 blocks are a dozen good dining places; you can walk everywhere! Rooms are a bit small…a minor thing.

- Roy (8/5): - It's a good value place to stay if you're doing a road trip or travelling through the area. Our room was comfortable enough but a bit dark and a bit too warm for our liking. Could have opened the window for some cool air but it was raining at the time! Will stay again though if we're in the area. It's an unattended property but we didn't need to contact anyone for assistance.
