hlroberson70 (10/5): Excellent place to stay! - I stayed here for a few days while visiting my son who goes to UofO. The hotel was great. The staff were helpful and friendly. I had a large quiet room. I had my small dog with me and the hotel was very welcoming and even gave me a bag with dog treats, bowl and blanket for him. The breakfast was really good. I got it for free since I am a Hyatt member but it was worth the price if you have to pay. Overall a great stay and a great location.

Poor internet and Chromecast wasn’t working. Evening shift folks were a bit standoff-ish, morning/day shift front desk staff were kind and helpful. The guy working the breakfast area was awesome and helpful and friendly.

AMAZING breakfast - literally the best complimentary hotel breakfast I’ve had in decades of travel. I only wish they had a digital way to leave a tip for housekeeping as I rarely carry cash. Parking fee (not mentioned on website) has increased and formerly did not exist. Breakfast now free for some but others have to pay. No info on website abut who gets free breakfast and who pays. Breakfast options are improved however. front desk staff are friendly but more casual than professional. hot tub not open and has not been available for a few years now it seems. Pool now available apparently. Rooms are nice and parking convenient though expensive now.

FoodInEugene (6/5): No Hot Tub Available For the Second Time - This was my second stay at the Hyatt Place in Eugene, and also the second time the hot tub was unavailable due to maintenance. It was super cold outside the evening I arrived, so I was very much looking forward to climbing into the hot tub. Didn't happen, so that was a disappointment. Otherwise, the stay was fine. Nothing special. But I do wish the hot tub had been available. Hoping some kid didn't have an accident inside it. If so, I hope the parents were issued a huge fine.

The prime location made quick errands for last minute additions to our evening quick and simple. Breakfast was excellent, the service was brisk and kept up with a lively room.

alvinh926 (4/5): Stay only if you really really really really need Hyatt points - If you're a Hyatt member........unfortunately this is the only Hyatt location in Eugene. Overall it's a decent hotel with corporate greed ruining the experience. Hotel - Good location, close to local eateries, a Trader Joe's, shopping and look out for the always-excellent Salt & Straw ice cream a short walking distance away. Rooms are generally spacious, housekeeping is consistent and thorough. Parking - Let's reaffirm Eugene, OR is not a major metropolitan city; I get paying for parking in cities like Portland or Seattle but there are less than 5 hotels in Eugene that charge for parking and this Hyatt Place has the unfortunate distinction of being one of them. Parking also used to be more reasonable at $10/night but was recently doubled to $20 for.....no reason? Breakfast - One of the very few Hyatt Places in the world that charges for breakfast! Same quality breakfast as before that you'd find in other Hyatt Place locations (meaning it's consistently good) but now costs $11-per-person-per-day Unless you really really really are a loyal Hyatt member, there are better hotels closer (Graduate by Hilton is a good one).

The location is outstanding right in Oakway Center with easy walking access to restaurants, cafés, and shops. I had a quick turn‑and‑burn trip, but it’s the kind of spot where you could easily spend an evening exploring without ever needing to drive. My room was spacious, spotless, and modern, with a stylish layout, comfortable bed, and a large bathroom. Everything felt fresh and well‑maintained, exactly what I look for in a Hyatt Place. The staff was friendly, helpful, and professional throughout my stay. Breakfast was another highlight fresh options, good variety, and a clean, well‑run dining area. Honestly, this location alone is a big part of why I started choosing Hyatt Place more often. Parking in the attached garage was convenient, though I’ll admit it felt a bit tight with a larger vehicle. Still, having covered parking connected directly to the hotel was a nice perk. Overall, this is a fantastic Hyatt Place with great rooms, strong breakfast, and an unbeatable location. I’d absolutely stay here again next time with more time to enjoy the area.

Andrea (6/5): Next year I would probably stay somewhere else for the function I went to. - Location to work function 1 of 2 elevators was broken down. I came at the same time last year and 1 of the elevators were broken then. Since the hotel has a check in on the 4 floor the elevators situation was a problem. The clean glasses in our room were on the bottom shelf 3 inches from the floor (yuck). They should be higher up. The desk top or bathroom would be better than sitting next to the floor. $20 for parking is a little too much. Should be free if staying the night.

The elevators don’t always work. Parking is $20. Breakfast is $11 a person. I’ve stayed at so many Hyatt’s and have always been a fan. This one was bizarre.

The shops and a wonderful brewery provided a nice atmosphere to unwind in the evenings. I especially love how clean and cozy the rooms were -- spacious, quiet, and well-cooled. I was able to take the stairwell to the hot tub and pool without having to walk through public hallways and riding elevators in my wet clothes. The breakfast was amazing and a great value for money. I appreciated the serving of warm and well-prepared oatmeal with a large variety of toppings--I ate that for consecutive mornings, together with an omelet and bacon. I felt cared-for at this hotel...truly.

We’ve been to many and often the breakfast has rolled oats instead of steel cut oats but still gave a sign that says steel cut oats. This place goes the extra mile by serving Vegan sausage and 2 kinds of egg bites, premade omelette, and 15 toppings to go on your oatmeal or yogurt. Why don’t all the Hyatt Places do this? This place sets the standard! Great job Hyatt Place Eugene!!!

gilbertp392 (2/5): Terrible layout of the property! - Although the property is conveniently laid out by restaurants and shopping. it is extremely difficult to get in and out of the property. The check in process is terrible and only certain elevators allow access to your room. Because you need to take an elevator to check in. I'm taking my bags all over the place only to find out. I need to go back down to my car and park in a designated level on the property! This property is terrible!!!

We loved that we could walk to Autzen Stadium to cheer on the Ducks! Will definitely consider staying again.

The hotel is very clean with a friendly staff that are always willing to assist and answer any questions. The hotel is clean, comfortable with a great housekeeping staff. They work very hard making the rooms clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay here again!!

Suite kitchen no amenities a ton of empty cupboards, no toaster or real coffee maker. Not enough towels and terrible broken uncomfortable couch/bed. Pool out of service and breakfast ridiculous overpriced nothing.

Lisa (10/5): - We loved staying at Hyatt Place whenever we visited our daughter in college. She graduated this year so we won’t be back to Eugene. We love the roof top bars ambiance and drinks. The staff gave us great recommendations for restaurants to try. Also, they were so accommodating and helpful with our moving truck. A big thank you for a lovely stay.

Rand (6/5): - The location of the hotel was amazing, and we really enjoyed the fabulous downstairs restaurant and nearby shopping. However, on our first night, we noticed an insect crawling out from the couch, which was concerning. The following day, housekeeping did not refill the tissue box or the toilet paper, which was inconvenient. Additionally, we were disappointed to find the pool closed during our stay. When we asked the front desk about it, we were told it would not be repaired for another two weeks.

Dale (2/5): - I was very disappointed with our stay at this supposedly "excellent" hotel. We were misled by Expedia that this was an exceptional hotel and that was the reason we booked it. But we arrived in the evening and the front doors were lacked with no directions of what to do. Just so happens someone was bring out some trash and told us to go up to the 3rd floor parking and take elevator to lobby. Once on the 3rd parking there was an elevator it did not take you to the lobby but locked hallways. In frustration going back to the car we saw the guy again and he directed us to another elevator that was to lead tot the4 5th floor lobby. Note: this elevator was not labeled in any way that it was the one that leads to the lobby. very frustrating when it is late at night after traveling all day. Once in the lobby the front desk agreed with us of difficulty of entrance, parking, elevator and checking in. he said that has been a problem but shrugged it off as "O well". Once in the room it immediately smelt and there were numerous spots on the floor. My wife tried to clean one so we would not step on it and the rag she used turned black after cleaning the floor. So we put down rags over the spots and stop cleaning. The room did not have a microwave so we could not heat up ant food we had. I went to the front desk to ask about the microwave and was told no rooms have them. even though he agreed with me the cheap hotels all have microwaves. again shrugged it off as o well! I informed him of the
225neillk (10/5): Great Place To Stay - No Surprises - We were in Eugene for a family event. The hotel is located near a discount mall and several restaurants. Only surprise was that there were no safes in the room. The did offer Safe Deposit boxes at the front desk

GreggMS (6/5): Needs improvement - A couple of the hotel's I wanted to stay in were booked so I stay here instead. Overall, this hotel needs improvement. They should have a microwave in the room. This is a major inconvenience. No where to heat up coffee. The breakfast buffet that came with my reservation was mediocre. The elevators were super slow. The fridge in my room did not get cold enough. The pool was out of service. I did enjoy the Sky Bar. They had some excellent beers on tap and my friend and I enjoyed sitting outside sipping our beers. In addition, they bake fresh chocolate chip cookies that are delicious.
Loriann (5/5): Disappointed at best - Love the location, it's within walking distance to dining and shops. Has a great patio and decent bar with good hours. Decent staff that are friendly. The price is too much. They have added additional fees which were not shown when booked. Like $20 a night to park. We were not told of other options and put on the spot. Breakfast used to be free now charged $11.00 a person which is heat and eat garbage. The garbage bin in our room had the prior stays yogurt in it. No room service for meals. $700 for two nights not worth it....price gouging.
