• Wolf (9/5): Gutes Hotel in Flughafennähe - Das Hotel befindet sich in einem von Büros und Gewerbebauten geprägten Stadtbezirk, also nicht in der Innenstadt. Das Zimmer war sehr gut, das Personal freundlich. Restaurants für den Abend finden sich fußläufig in der unmittelbaren Umgebung. Ein toller Service ist der kostenlose Transfer zum nationalen und internationalen Flughafen CTU - das Hotel liegt also ideal bei einer späten Ankunft oder frühem Abflug. Und das wirklich erstklassige Frühstücksbuffet öffnete schon früh, so dass ich es noch genießen konnte trotz eines Transfers zum Airport am Morgen. Es war alles in Ordnung.

• Nicholas (3/5): Disappointing - The room was clean and the staff were friendly. I booked this hotel because I found out that it was a 100% non smoking hotel, including all of the rooms. I am a non-smoker. I emailed the hotel ahead of time before booking it to ask about their smoking policies and got a response from the general manager, Michelle Zhang that confirms that this is a 100% non smoking hotel and that any guest who would like to smoke would need to go outside the hotel to do so. A few minutes after I get checked in and get the key to room, I then go to my room. After being in the room for a few minutes everything was nice until I saw an ashtray on a table. I then went back to the front desk downstairs to ask for a non smoking room, which I received without any issue. I also asked the staff if this hotel was a 100% non smoking hotel. Since this hotel is in China, none of the staff knew English very well so I had to translate my questions to them using Google Translate. The staff told me that we have some smoking rooms. I then see a card that is displayed on the front desk that mentions that the city of Chengdu has a law that prohibits smoking in all hotel rooms, which took effect in 2017. I point this out to them and they acted like they had no idea why they had this sign. About an hour after I get settled into my new room, one of the managers (not Michelle Zhang) knocks on my door to apologize that I was given the wrong information. Her facial expression showed that she was embarrassed by this situation. She said that appropriate action would be taken to not let this happen again and acknowledged that it was the hotel’s fault for providing me with the wrong information. I showed her the email I received from Michelle Zhang to confirm that I was told that this hotel was 100% smoke free. I appreciated the apology. While the rest of my stay went smoothly, I would never stay at this hotel again because of the false information I was provided. There is no excuse for a hotel doing this.

The staff prepared take-out breakfast on our last day for an early flight. The metro to downtown was a short walk. Cold water available at the front desk. Two free bottles of water each day. Room was very hot because window were open. Took a few hours for the AC to cool the room.

• Regis (10/5): Hôtel agréable à Chengdu CTU - Hôtel à 15 minutes de navette de l'aéroport de Chengdu CTU (à ne pas confondre avec TFY à 75 kilomètres). En marchant dix minutes, vous arrivez à une station de métro qui vous conduira au centre ville en une grosse trentaine de minutes pour trois fois rien. Nombreux restaurants à proximité.

Excellent value as less than £30 per night for a king room with breakfast. Comfortable room, friendly staff and good choice for breakfast. Free shuttle service from the airport. Lovely park across the road and restaurants nearby. Although non-smoking throughout, many people smoked in the lifts.
• A (10/5): Perfect hotel for a stop over at CTU airport. For the price including a breakfast it's unbeatable. - Free shuttle to and from CTU, not far from airport, clean modern room. Nothing was perfect for what I needed as a one night stopover.

• Jan (8/5): A good base for visiting the area. - We stayed at this hotel for 19 nights in total during February whilst visiting family in Chengdu and as a base in between visits to Lijiang, Xi’an and Thailand. Most staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and breakfast offered a good choice of cereals, bread, fruit, vegetables, eggs and meat as well as delicious local dishes and fresh noodle soup. I advised the hotel we would be arriving very late around midnight and received a response that it was ok; but when we arrived at the airport and rang for the free transport to the hotel, we were told our room had been cancelled because we did not book in by 6pm. After contacting Booking.com and asking a Chinese relative to intercede we eventually had transport and a room at the hotel. However there was a wait of over an hour and many phone calls to achieve this - and the first night was in a twin room rather than a double king room as booked. Apart from this, our other times at the hotel were fine.

The room is quite big with a nice view and the shower was amazing. They offer free transportation from the airport only one way which was very useful for us Wifi upstairs didn’t work sometimes

Large towels, washcloths, and toiletries were provided. Bottles of water were provided in the room and in the lobby. The window was open when I arrived. The hotel was easy to find, but there is not a drive right up to the door. The staff made check-in easy. A convenience store, a pharmacy, and some restaurants are in walking distance. I could not adjust the thermostat. There were some loud noises from the neighborhood.

Because the windows and doors were left wide open for every room on each floor. It did not feel safe walking into my room when it was propped open by the luggage rack.
