- Ching I (10/5): - The hotel is right on top of the train station and that makes the travelling super easy. Lots and lots of shopping and dining within the train station. Kanazawa castle, museum, Cha Ya districts and temples are easy to get to via the loop tour bus. The location of the hotel made travelling easier and more enjoyable. Definitely the first choice of accommodation.

I need to request a step riser in order for me to enter the bathroom. Also I requested whether they have a room with easy access for disabled people. I wondered why he can’t go and move my luggage by himself if he can go with me, so I said I’m okey and asked other staff to look after mine. She was politely said sure and I could leave the hotel with my family. I think the young staff was student or something as he said 僕は, not 私は(more professional). Location is good as it is just above of the station. However, the bathroom is not the same level. The room was okey but small. I paid 17000mish yen but I felt it is rather a budget hotel and over price.

The location was perfect for people with large luggage because the hotel entrance was in the train station terminal and adjacent to the station shoppingand dining building. Still, it was very quiet. Complementary toiletries, drip coffee packs and tea bags were in the lobby to hunt. If you ask, they have some free magazines for sightseeing information and they were very helpful info.

My biggest issue was the pillow provided. Upon entry I had only been given one pillow so I had to request a second. Both pillows were Japanese style which I found quite uncomfortable. The room was small but clean, there was just about enough room for myself and two cases which was fine. The staff were friendly and check in was easy and in English. Overall, if you’re in Kanazawa for a short stay and want a conveniently located, easy to access hotel, this was perfect.

- Grant (4/5): - So I went to kazanawa as a last minute decision and conveniently enough, this hotel is located inside the station. The place itself is in great shape, good location to walk to places, kind staff etc… But man, the room was so small. Like prison cell small. Mind you, that’s not an issue and it’s the room I bookend. What killed me was the cement hard pillow and paper thin walls. I could hear my neighbors talking at a reasonable volume. I couldn’t sleep due to the rock hard pillow and hearing all the sounds of next door/above and outside. It was bad. It’s a good spot if you’re looking for convenience but I did not rest well during my stay. And I did ask for a softer pillow but they ended up giving me another of the same pillow. If you stay here, bring something comfy to lay on and ear plugs. Everything else was ok outside of that.

Right smack above Kanazawa Station, with lots of food and shopping options available right downstairs. The room prices are extremely reasonable considering the convenience and the rooms are not shabby either. Rooms are clean with basic amenities. The day when I was supposed to leave Kanazawa for Tokyo, it was raining extremely heavily and I was really absolutely glad that my hotel is IN Kanazawa station itself - totally couldn't imagine carrying my heavy backpack to get to the station while getting wet under that kind of weather condition.

Both rooms, we felt, were at the end of an exhaust piping from a kitchen of a restaurant in the same building because 85% of the day and night, our rooms smelled of cooking and food - even when we kept the windows open. I refer to very heavy odor, as if our rooms were just beside or close to the kitchen. We told the reception about it once but we didn't get any feedback. We had a busy schedule so decided not to pursue a possible transfer of rooms, and chose to go on with the experience. Apart from this, everything else was great, especially the location.

The rooms are on the small side and the bed is really small, but expected of Japan. Staff are really nice and friendly. And hotel is very clean and new

- Amy (8/5): Convenient location - Great value for small (it is Japan), clean, modern and comfortable room. Location in the Kanazawa train station made it so convenient. We used the tourist office in the train station to buy all our tickets, eg hop on hop off bus, and then walked right outside to catch our bus every morning for the day of sightseeing. Also did take out pizza one night when we were too tired to go out from great pizza place in the station. Plenty of other stores right in the station too. Would definitely stay here again.

- CHIN NIAN (10/5): Great location, fast wifi. - New and clean hotel. I believe it's owned by JR, which explains the perfect location right in Kanazawa JR station. Nothing much around the station after 8pm, but the huge 7 Eleven is great for cheap meals and drinks to bring up in-room. Room size is considered huge for a single Japanese room. Wifi speed and connection is best I've experienced. So fast and stable I was confident up update my iPhone's and iPad's iOS, without a hitch. HWill recommend and stay in this hotel again if prices stay this way.
- Holly (10/5): Convenient location for nearby exploration - Excellent place to use as base of operations in Kanazawa. We did have a little trouble finding it. When we read that it was virtually inside the train station we figured that meant just outside the train station. We actually flagged down a nearby apartment resident who kindly walked us around trying to find it. The entrance is unobstrusive and is indeed inside the train station near the 7-11. Excellent bakery across from 7-11 for breakfast.

But, the tiny bathroom has a high step up into it, and the pillow was the hardest I’ve ever come across in Japan, I slept without it after the first night. Having said this, I will still return in future - and bring my own pillow.

- Sharon (8/5): - It is so convenient to stay in a hotel which is located directly inside the Kanazawa Station. Many nice food outlets inside this Kanazawa Station. You may take one day hop in bus or bus to Shirakawago in this station too. Room is small but is very new. I paid extra for room stay with breakfast, but it was just simple continental breakfast served in their partner coffee shop next to the hotel. The breakfast set comes with just the choice of wafer or toast compliment with omelette, salad, jam, butter and beverage choices like coffee/latte/cappuccino/tea/fruit juice and also 2 tiny croquettes. Don't get confuse as in their breakfast menu it shown that the continental breakfast set comes with 2 hotdogs but after 2 times of clarification with waitresses then only got to know that for Via Inn Kanazawa 's breakfast set it only comes with 2 croquettes as hotdogs are for the coffee shop' s walk in customer. Overall very convenient to stay in this hotel.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Unbeatable location and good price! - Hotel location inside kanazawa station itself just slightly beside 7-11 store. The hotel name can be slightly hard to notice, you have to take the lift to 2nd or 3rd floor for check in. Price for the location is great and don't think i can hear noise despite the hotel is inside the train station. You can easily get food inside the train station mall or 7-11.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The Via Inn Kanazawa is literally about 20m to your left when exit the Shinkansen gate. It is in the station and you just have to go up to the third floor for the Hotel lobby. The rooms are small (typical in Japan) but very clean. Contains fridge and a couple of hanging pegs. Note that almost everything is written in Japanese and the staff know only a small amount of English (my Japanese is even less). Very handy to get the free JR bus that takes you to the Kanazawa Castle, Kenroku-en Garden, Omicho Market and others.
- Len (8/5): BYO pillow. - The room was standard Japan size. Staff were polite and helpful. Room was clean and the bed the usual Japanese hardness. Only complaint was the pillows were also rock hard making them very hard to sleep on.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Center of everything - I pick this hotel because it is "in" the train station. All trains and buses inevitably come here. It is an ideal base camp to explore around. Oh, and every kind of shops and restaurants are also "in". It is also completely isolated from the noise of train station. Amazing!

- Verified traveler (10/5): Great for short stays - The location of the hotel is perfect for those travelling by train as it is within the station itself. Great for those with plenty of bags - save the trouble of lugging your lugagge on the streets. Room and bathroom are small but defintely not the smallest in Japan. While it is not near tourist spots, you are just a short bus ride away. If you have a JR Pass, you can take the JR busses from Gate East 4 for free (route covers most of the attractions). Perfect for those staying for one (or two) nights.
- May (8/5): - Excellent location. Just inside JR kanazawa station. Nice and Friendly staff. Help us to keep our luggage in their luggage room overnight for our next day check in although their hotel policy not allow.
- Emma (8/5): Convenient, great value, but limited comfort - Very conveniently positioned hotel in the train station, meaning minimal hassle with luggage. Very friendly service. Breakfast was good - with scrambled eggs and waffles in the cafe a few steps away. The room we had was ok- but limited on space and comfort. But great value for what we paid - especially as we were only in the room to sleep. I would stay again if we were visiting for 1-2 nights.
