Guest Reviews
- Jason (8/5): - Acceptable!
- Beth (6/5): - Noisy due to bar/resturant upstairs. We felt safe, but it was quit noisy till after 2am.
- Domenick (8/5): - The great location
- eva (10/5): Fantastic budget motel - Great place and excellent value
- Domenick (8/5): - Helpful when i got my wallet stolen by an lyft drivers papssenger
- marsha (8/5): - Yes, great food and reasonable prices
- Sherri (4/5): - The shower had a clump of hair in it. The floor was gritty. We killled a cockroach. The air conditioning didn’t work.
- Beckie (10/5): - Typical motor inn, older but well kept, friendly staff. Adjoining restaurant very convenient and excellent wings. No complaints.
- Angela (4/5): Disappointed. - Staff was lovely. Found a used syringe on bathroom window sill. Staff cleaned room when reported but should never have passed original clean. Also very noisy. Clients smoking on bench and talking loud at all hours of night and morning. Beads lumpy and worn out. Pillows had no slip covers. Location was good for concert at maine savings bank amphitheater. A nice walk.
- Joseph (10/5): - Very clean- nice staff
- heather (8/5): Thin walls. - Friendly staff. Close to casino and ampitheatre. Only complaint i have is that i could hear the people in the room above me every time they walked across the floor, no biggie, i just turned the fan on, but that was a bit annoying.
- Kelly (4/5): - It was very loud in the parking lot outside our room from all the bikers using the restaurant attached to the motel. It was very overpriced for the quality of the room.
- Heidi (10/5): - Easy to find... friendly staff.. great clean rooms.. comfy beds..
- Tanyalynn (8/5): - Everything was great except had trouble getting on the Wi-Fi
- Cynthia (6/5): - While the room was clean, it was old. There appeared to be people who lived there hanging around outside which made me nervous.
- Tom (6/5): - Two Harley's parked outside our room with exhaust pointed toward our room fired up at 5:30a...didn't need an alarm clock! Might consider some parking controls. Exterior door was damaged at bottom, which allowed outside air to infiltrate; fortunately motorcycles did not idle before leaving.
- TERRY (8/5): - Bed comfort and quiet
- Wayne (8/5): - Bar restaurant on property
- Phillip (10/5): - Updated but still has that “motor inn “ vibe. Clean and comfortable. Reasonable place to stay on the way to Bar Harbor. Bar / restaurant onsite was reasonable and good food. If your the type that has to have the 4star plus experience you might not like it but I thought it was perfect for the price
- Valery (2/5): Violence and sketchy - First, not clean, hair in bed, on toilet seat, weird stain, smell! Second, we did not sleep there, there was a fight outside, people screeming, throwing stuff, we did not feel safe at all so we left. Immediately contacted hotel.com to get a refund or credit and no news. Very disappointed : (
- John (6/5): - It's "average". I don't know why choosing average is bad on this list, but there was nothing wrong, just nothing amazing. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. I was only there for about 12 hours. They have a restaurant/bar that seemed popular but I didn't have time for that, I just used the room to sleep.
- Monica (6/5): - The price is right- you get what you pay for - Basic room with basic amenities.
- Nancy (8/5): - Very dated
- Leslie (6/5): Pet friendly and reasonably priced - The service was excellent and the staff friendly. There was a restaurant in site with decent food. The motel towels were new and plush but the bed linens need to be replaced.
- Robert (10/5): - Very Gracious Staff & Nice Hotel. I felt very welcomed. And my room was very reasonably priced!! Thank you & Best Wishes
- Lisa (10/5): - We were met but a very nice girl at reception.. the restaurant staff was amazing as well.
Nice place for overnight on our adventure!
- sonja (8/5): - It was nice & clean .Only thing we noticed is the cleaners they use was a bit harsh on fragrances.
- Haylee (10/5): - It was a good a stay and comfy
- Lisa (8/5): Happy visitor!! - Room was very clean, bed very comfortable. Staff was helpful and friendly. No clock in room and space felt dated but again very clean and comfortable. Great price!
- Robert (8/5): - Older motel..double beds..not a lot of room to move around..good for the price. Breakfast was juice, coffee, yogurt, danish, cereal and fruit..staff couldn't find reservation at first...she was on the wrong date. There was a restaurant/bar on top level.
- Stephen (4/5): - The employees were very nice but the rooms were way overpriced only two outlets no phone, the cable only worked properly one day out of four. Said the could not give the senior or
- joan (10/5): - This was a great experience. I would stay here again.
- Ghassan (6/5): - Booked a room through Expedia for cheaper than when needed to add a night and book a second room for one night. It was empty not that many people are in. I don't know why it was more expensive booking directly as oppose to Expedia. Not coming again to this place.
- siobhan (10/5): - .
- Tim (2/5): - Worst stay ever! You have people living in the rooms around us and they were rude, noisy, throwing trash out of their rooms at us hollering and screaming and slamming stuff around all nite long then at 7am the party starts all of em on the porch and in parking lot with music playing loud, and a dog n kids
- Alex (10/5): - Was simple and cozy. Perfect as a work stay hotel. Will come back if I have more work in the area.
- Linda (10/5): Awesome stay - We booked the king bed room it was so spacious we could have danced in the room. Dissapointed no coffee pot in the room. Coffee and cereal was offered in the lobby. Mattress was so soft and comfortable like being on a cloud. Will definitely book this hotel and this room again
- Louise (6/5): - It was pretty small
- John (10/5): Welcoming staff and comfortable, quiet rooms. - I've stayed here many times and am always glad to return. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff is always available to help with any request. Lots of restaurants close by and Bangor is only a 10 minute drive away.
- Thomas (4/5): - Noisy and facility is very outdated.
- Karen (10/5): - Sm family owed very friendly
- Pamela (10/5): - The staff was polite, courteous and very helpful. Loved the room, very clean, large and exactly as advertised. Loved the whole experience. Thank you
- Abhishek (10/5): - Good
- ANGELA (6/5): - Rooms need to be updated a bit. There is a restaurant on the property.
- mark (10/5): - Clean and well maintained. Very friendly check staff.
- Janet (10/5): - The quilt on the bed was very pretty. I was traveling with my dog and there was a big field behind the building to walk her in. The staff was very friendly and kind!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Walls are thin
- Nicholas (6/5): - This place was fine for us as we just needed a place to sleep. Nothing special.
- Jill (8/5): - Would stay here again
- John (8/5): - Convenient for me
- Patricia (6/5): - Easy check in. Welcoming staff.
Quiet after 21hrs
Poor quality mattress
Water pressure in shower could be better
Mini fridge and microwave
Continental bfast could use healthier choices.
- Darlene (2/5): - The room was not very clean, there was hair all over the walls in the bathroom and on the towels.
I would not stay there again, the staff was friendly enough.
- Jacqueline (10/5): - This was not a 5 star hotel, but also didn’t claim to be. This was one of the least expensive options of the very overpriced options available in Bangor / Brewer. I read some very bad reviews about this place and some good ones- we were very pleasantly surprised. Our room was spotless and spacious. #128 on the end of the second floor. It was quiet although next to the road and the stairs. Free self parking. Free continental breakfast (coffee, tea, fruit, yoghurt, juice, cereal and granola bars) Quick check in and check out. Friendly and courteous staff. Great location for a quick and cheap Uber to the amphitheater for a concert. Restaurant/ bar on site, which was packed day and night, although we didn’t try it and other restaurants close by. Huge mini fridge and microwave in the room. I think we were in a “renovated” room- no carpet, which was great. My husband and I travel a fair bit and we both agreed this had the most comfortable bed of anywhere we have stayed in the last 25 years! Best air conditioning too! We would definitely stay here again. If I had to complain about something it would be low water pressure with the shower, but we survived LOL. Again-this is not a 5 star hotel so don’t expect it to be, but it was exactly what it claimed to be.
- Dennis (6/5): MOTEL. No. HOTEL - Basic accommodations. No thrills. MOTEL. Not HOTEL Welcome back to the 80’s
- Glenn A (10/5): - Great spot
- Verified traveler (2/5): Stay away from this filthy place! - I wish I could give this place 0 stars. Many flights were canceled, so this was the last room available to me late at night. They did not honor my prepaid reservation of a normal room and instead sent me to the basement where the overwhelming smell of chemical cleaners permeated the hallway. I wouldn't mind the small, old room if it had been clean, but it was filthy. The bathroom was the worst - apparent fecal remnants in the toilet, what seemed like gray washcloths but were actually just dirty white ones, etc. Even my Clorox wipes couldn't help those things or the smell of cigarette smoke (in non-smoking rooms). The new socks I wore to protect from the filthy floors and possible critters were blackened in my very short stay. And the knob on the antique A/C unit fell off in my hand. I tried to speak with the manager when told she'd be in, but got no response to my voicemail.
- K.T. (8/5): - Great motel for the price, very clean, friendly staff, very pleasing to have the bar & grill right very convenient & the food was good.
- Ashley (10/5): - Comfortable bed. Nice staff.
- Laura (10/5): Friendly staff - Rooms are very clean, freshly painted and appear to have been kept up well.
- Terry (8/5): - easy access to room, parked right in front of room
- Judy (10/5): - So convenient to walk to events
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great Place to stay - Great place to spend a few days when in town. Close to everything, friendly staff and the room was clean. Brewster has excellent food and drinks.
- kimberly (2/5): - The floors were not clean , hotel was very outdated and others staying there were loud
- Shelley (10/5): - Clean rooms, great stay.
- Stephanie (10/5): - The front office is very friendly and accommodating.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Definitely a motel - The motel is onsite with a bar, but also, even though it was a Tuesday night, people congregated in the parking lot next to where we were and partied very loudly well into the night. The room itself had an uncomfortable plastic matress protector which was loud and bunched up throughout the night. And the shower had no amenities other than soap. We were disappointed in the reviews feeling disingenuous to the motel's actual state. The service was lovely, both the person who was working as we checked in and as we left.
- Roland (10/5): - Great bar
- Rhiannon (10/5): - Very convenient and affordable stay for a concert at the savings bank amphitheater.
- Heather (10/5): - Perfect location for going to a concert, room was nice and clean .
- Terry Sue (10/5): - Everything was great from check in to checkout. 5 star review!!
- Kathy (8/5): - it was what expected, affordable. Friendly staff.
- John (10/5): Great location - I stay at this location several times. Always clean, quiet, and a great staff.
- JOHN E (10/5): Just like home only better. - I stay at Brewer Motor Inn at least twice a year. Its very comfortable and clean. Staff are always very friendly and knowledgeable about businesses in the area.
- Kerry (8/5): - Restaurant on site was good. Very comfy bed!!!
- Lucie (10/5): - Nice and clean
- Abdul (2/5): - I have traveled (2-26-24) and stayed in many places in many countries and in the United States, this had been the worst experience ever. There was no soap and shampoo, the soap dispenser on the wall was broken and empty. When I went to tell the evening clerk, she was vaping and threatened me to go back to my room. I had a critical surgery next morning, I had to keep my cool. The BREWER MOTOR INN is the WORST INN, PERIOD. HOW A GUEST COMING TO A MOTEL IN THE EVENING CAN CLEAN????
- John E (10/5): Five Stars! - I have stayed at Brewer Motor Inn several times. It is always great. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, the rooms are always clean and welcoming. There are stores and restaurants close by. Easy to park.
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Almost feels like home
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Great place to stay
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Great place 😄
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Great place
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Clean and friendly
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This place is a gem. I wish every town I had to travel to had a place like this one. Great owners, great staff, and a great food upstairs at Brewsters! We'll stay here on every visit to Bangor.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Booked a King, when we got here they told us they were overbooked and didn’t have the king I reserved through you two weeks ago. Gave us a double and knocked off $30. Not happy.
- Leslie (6/5): - Dumpy
- Dale (6/5): - Adequate. Price was right for 1 night stay.
- Albert (10/5): - Price
- Mara (10/5): Cozy, convenient oasis. - It was warm (outside was 50°) and smelled like fresh linen when we opened the door. The bedspreads were pretty! And the room was ...roomy. Nice snacks with our coffee in the morning. I wished we could've eaten at the restaurant, the food looked good with reasonable prices. Only, only suggestion is sleep in the middle of the bed if you need more support for your back. But very comfortable!
- Garry (6/5): - Staff were not very friendly. Facilities were outdated. Very noisy at night. Would not go back there again.
- margaret (8/5): - The room was clean and comfortable, the bath recently renovated, a microwave and frig as well. Breakfast was nice, with bottled juices, good granola bars and yogurt, fresh fruit as well as packaged pastries and cereals. Pots of flowers outside were well-tended and a restaurant offered meals and alcoholic beverages upstairs. The price was right!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Quiet and comfortable. - Excellent stay, room was clean, quiet and relaxing. Staff were friendly and professional. Check in and check out was quick. Would definitely stay here again.
- michael (10/5): - one of the few places in or near Bangor that allows a cat!
- Lynn (8/5): - Everything was great
- Connie (8/5): Affordable, clean & basic - Check-in/out staff were very very friendly. Affordable, clean and basic. Lots of next room /outside noise. Only “concern” is key doorknob only. Can use deadbolt from inside but can’t use when you leave the room. Recommend to consider for security reasons. Thank you!
- Denise (6/5): - Room and staff were great, but door lock was outdated and door didn't have a seal at the bottom.
- Valerie (10/5): - We had a great stay here. Room was very clean and staff was very knowledgeable.
- Malvina (4/5): - The price is high for this kind of property
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Was convenient for a one night stay in the Bangor area.
- Kristy (6/5): - Stayed here 1 night while in town for an event. Clean rooms. Location was convenient to downtown Bangor and had plenty of food options close by.
- Adam (8/5): - Friendly Staff, clean. only issue is very dark inside with limited lighting
