• Henk van der Velde (10/5): Perfect location, all kinds of amenities in the area and great value for money. - It is just a perfect location an the the value for money is perfect! The owner, Luisa, is always available to assist in every situation. This was my second stay there and I will definitely go back next Year. There was nothing to not like, it is just excellent! It all comes down to expectations, but please keep in mind it's not a hotel with a pool. I can't see why anyone would not like this place.

La prima notte non avevo neanche il bagno in camera e invece di 3 letti per 3 ospiti c'era solamente un letto matrimoniale, quindi padre e due figlie hanno dovuto dormire per 4 notti tutti e tre nello stesso letto matrimoniale. Ho chiesto alla signora che gestisce il b&b almeno un indennizzo per il disagio subito ma ha rifiutato. Comportamento ignobile.

• Stephanie (10/5): Heerlijke plek waar je echt kunt ontspannen. - Heerlijke balkons, heerlijke tuin, huiselijk huis. De eigenaresse Luisa was geweldig. Het was er heerlijk schoon. Hoewel er meerdere mensen de keuken gebruikten, zag Luisa erop toe dat het schoon en netjes was. Het was er rustig hoewel het guesthouse redelijk gevuld was. Fijn huis met veel gemakken en goede energie. Goed werkende stille airconditioning.

Durante a noite fica iluminado com luz vinda do exterior, que entra pela janela do quarto de banho, que por sua vez tem uma porta em vidro fumado que deixa passar a claridade. No quarto de banho a torneira do lavatório está solta, se não houver cuidado verte água para fora do lavatório.

Nice and quiet rooms, although we were able to hear other guests moving about. Comfy beds. Fridge in the house. Free and fast WiFi. Not the property's fault, but it's quite far from the center, but that was not a problem for us since we had a car. Parking in the center is not free, though.

• Dominika (10/5): - The house was located in a beautiful area and was furnished with classy and taste. I was impressed by the wonderfull garden and well-equipped bathroom. I had wonderful time and a relaxing stay. In the kitchen there was always lovely atmosferę and it was everything you need to prepare meal. Te greatest advantage of this place is the charming Lady Owner. She is friendly, helpful and very elegant. She helped me a lot with something that seemed impossible, and I am very grateful to her. MANELISA is a place with soul. I highly recommend it

• Daniele (10/5): A warming experience - This Family Villa is perfectly located, closed to local restaurants and markets, 3 minutes to Ocean by car. The atmosphere is like ‘at home’, warming and private at the same time. The owner is a wonderful sharming Lady and she creates the best marmalades I can remember. The private interior garden is a magic place and you will touch the stars during the nights!

Ze heeft ook parasols ter beschikking als je naar het strand wilt. Het ontbijt stond in de gezamenlijke ijskast in de keuken. Het concept is gewoon nemen wat je nodig hebt, natuurlijk te delen met de andere kamers: dit was persoonlijk minder ons ding. Hierdoor was het basic.

• Aleksei (3/5): - It's clean, and Luisa was very friendly The room was too small. Distance between the bed and toilet is about 50cm. You will literally pee in front of your partner at night. The shower is unusable as well. Also, it should be twice cheaper at least. You can rent a two bedroom apartment in the downtown of Lisbon 20% cheaper with no hassle.

• Mengyao (8/5): Generally very satisfied. - Luisa is a wonderful owner. I traveled with two kids, so safety is the utmost important thing to me. Luisa makes me feel very secured. The garden makes up the shortcoming of the small area of the room and provides a good resting place. This is also public area on each floor. The triple room on the roof floor is two small, and the bathroom is barely enough space for two persons. Actually that room fits two or less persons. I talked with others and come to know that that there are also rooms for more people but very spacious. So please ask Luisa about it in advance. Breakfast was ordinary, would be great if more kinds of food is provided.

Such a sweetheart like visiting a sister. Comfortable beds. Private bath with our room with large shower. Use of full common area kitchen even for reheating leftovers offered the opportunity to interact with other guests. Furnishings in the common areas were beautiful also. Proximity to the old town and jazz festival hippodrome were an easy drive or Uber but far enough away for a quiet sleep. Just a note of awareness: there’s no elevator to get to the upper level rooms. We had no problem navigating the stairs to the upper level but less mobile individuals may have to request a lover floor room ahead of time.

Had breakfast in the garden each morning. Initially thought location was a bit far from centre but actually was glad of the distance from tourist area. Pleasant walk to coast each day and very cheap uber back (3-4.5€). Good local restaurants and interesting local bar! Enjoyed our stay. Nothing really except on 2nd night something was banging in the wind all night till at least 3.30am when I think the wind dropped.

• Ilse (7/5): Good - Very comfortable and clean room with bathroom and nice balcony. The location was a good 20 minute walk from the centre of Cascais but this was no surprise. Breakfast was quite basic but coffee and tea generously supplied.

• Manuel (10/5): - Great hospitality…Luisa is an attentive hostess and makes you feel comfortable, and makes it clear that whatever you need to make your stay enjoyable to just ask. Everything about this stay was outstanding. Bed was very comfortable and place is very quiet. Suggest you get a car because its not a very walkable area close to a lot, but there is a grocery store within 10 minute walk and a couple of very good restaurants, however you can spend 3-4€ with BOLT or UBER and you’re at Cascais Train Station in 5 minutes. First time I didn’t rent a car and it was not difficult to get to downtown Lisbon. 5 out of 5

• Pedro (9/5): Great location and nice stay. - Accessible, cosy and clean. Spacious. Nothing in particular but the parking might be the only thing, small street but still it was always possible to park nearby even if it a bit more far.

It’s a beautiful home and the room was super big, everything was clean, we could park no problem outside of the property, and we had access also to a huge kitchen. Elisa was super kind and helpful during our stay and made us feel at home away from home. I recommend this place without a hesitation. We will for sure return in the future. The property is not “fancy” but well kept and clean. We’d definitely stay with her again and highly recommend it. Also, it’s located on a cup-de-sac so there is little to no traffic on the street. She will greet you upon arrival.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Homestay, not hotel - This is not a hotel in the traditional sense; rather, it's a private home in a residential neighborhood that's converted to rooms at the ground level and two floors above. The owner is active in living in the basement and maintains a proactive and very welcoming engagement with the guests. The home is furnished with many older and most distinguished items. A large kitchen is accommodating at all hours and uses communal and modestly individualized arrangements for separation of guest foods, etc. Parking can be a bit tight, but on-street parking is available. I would say this is a very pleasant home-sharing type of experience. Some rooms will not have their own bathroom, which is an uncomfortable situation for those who require a bathroom at their disposal at all times. Cascais is an upscale seaside town along the seaboard west of Lisbon, and can be reached by expressway, seaside boulevards, and local train. It's a lovely town and has a delightful open market on Wed and Sat. The nearby beach of Guincho is breathtaking, with cliffs, dunes, and sandy beaches. Sintra is a treasure of Portuguese history, architecture, art, and former royalty tucked into the hills. This hotel is very quaint and well appointed, and will not disappoint if you receive a room with a bath. Do not accept the uppermost room on the 3rd floor of a narrow and winding staircase if you cannot tolerate a slanted ceiling, a single small skylight for a window, and a bathroom located across the hall.
