- Tobias Mast (9/5): - Service und Hilfsbereitschaft der Familie war hervorragend. Wir hatten einen gesundheitlichen Vorfall und der Hotelbesitzer war sofort da um uns zum Arzt zu fahren. Loundry service wurde auf Anfrage sofort erledigt. Hotelchef hat die Wäsche hingebracht und am gleichen Mittag abgeholt. Pool war toll und die Anlage schön. Frühstück und Abendessen war selbst gekocht und sehr lecker. Wir waren verliebt in Kokonut-bread. Sehr netter Familienbetrieb und empfehlenswert. Es können auch Ausflüge organisiert werden zu super Preise. Kleine optische Mängel aber oft dem Wetter geschuldet. Hat unseren Aufenthalt nicht beeinflusst und weniger schön gemacht

La chambre était propre. le lit était confortable. Le petit déjeuner était copieux et varié. La piscine était top. Ce n’est pas bien insonorisé, nous avons entendu les voisins entrer dans leur chambre à 3:00 du matin et entendions les écureuils sur le toit. Ca passe avec des boules quies.
- Karin (8/5): Fantastische plek en lief gezin - Mooie locatie en hele leuke huisjes. De huisjes zijn ruim ingedeeld en je kunt hier prima slapen met je gezin. Alles schoon en een heerlijk zwembad in de tuin. Zeer lief gezin die dit runt en toen alles voor je. Het is echt een familiebedrijf en oma die kookt fantastisch. Geen uitgebreid buffet of zo maar ze kan echt goed koken en heel betaalbaar.

He arranged our transport from Negombo to Sigiriya and then onward to Kandy (as well as tuk tuks throughout our stay). Homemade breakfast was a lovely way to start our mornings, and the property was stunning with all the fruit trees and a well maintained pool area. Thank you!

- Harsha (10/5): A Peaceful Escape - We just loved this place. It is the perfect place for someone who is looking for some peace and quiet. The rooms are extremely clean. They have a good functioning pool open at all times. The owner of the place is polite and humble, had a good time chatting with him. He welcomed us with Sri Lankan tea. It is located at the best possible location, all the tourist attractions are nearby. I highly highly recommend this place to everyone.

- Egle (10/5): - The property is gorgeous, the hosts are incredibly helpful, and food is one of the best we had during our two week stay in Sri Lanka (still thinking about Kottu that Lakmal’s mother cooked one of the evenings). Lakmal helped us organize a safari and some other tours around the area. I would definitely come back!
- Maxime (9/5): A quiet, welcoming gem right on the doorstep of Sigiriya - Lakmal and his family are very nice and always on hand to help. Pool and facilities are excellent, as is the food, all homemade by mum. Bungalows are large and spacious with a nice garden, and only a few other guests. Ideally located in a very quiet spot, just a stone's throw from Sigiriya rock. Bathroom is a little outdated but very clean and functional. Mosquito net could do with replacing.

- Kimberley (10/5): Gorgeous property, great location, perfect hosts. - The property is set within well maintained grounds and has a swimming pool, perfect after a day climbing Lions Rock. The rooms are lovely with everything you need. We only stayed for one night and arrived late. The host and his wife were very welcoming and even though it was late cooked omelettes and made tea for us. They let us stay after check out to use the pool and sorted transport to our next destination. I would definitely recommend staying in tranquil haven. Nothing to dislike.

Lakmal and his family were so lovely and accommodating- helping us arrange a scooter for the few days we were there and cooking us a wonderful dinner one night when we got rained out. The gardens are impeccably manicured and lush and the pool is great. Breakfast was also delicious! Would definitely recommend! Nothing

The gardens are so clean and pool area spotless, it was so nice and refreshing chilling on the loungers under the trees. The pool was never busy. Breakfsst was amazing and so much, fruits, lots of different breads/pancake, omelette, jam and butter. They even sorted out a car for us to Ella, which was cheaper then pick me.Would highly recommend. Everything was perfect.

L’hôte s’est très bien occupé de nous (organisation des excursions, transport, etc.). Le petit déjeuner est excellent et copieux. Il est aussi possible de dîner sur place avec un repas préparé par sa compagne, très copieux aussi et très bon. Un grand merci également au chauffeur qui a fait 4 heures de route pour nous déposer à Ella, à un prix très correct. Nous recommandons vivement !

- Valentina (10/5): замечательное начало отпуска на Шри Ланке! - честно говоря, понравилось все: очень чистая комната, всегда горячая вода в доступе, хозяин очень доброжелательный, со всем помогал, организовал поездку в СПА, на Пидурангалу, на Сафари и трансфер до Канди. Завтраки очень сытные и вкусные, один раз ужинали тоже в отеле: впервые попробовали Коту Роти, и я думаю, она была лучшей из всех, что мы пробовали в дальнейшем. Чувствуешь себя желанным гостем😊

Zeer vriendelijke eigenaren en oma kookt een hele lekkere sri lankeese maaltijd Mooi zwembad met uitzicht op het park. Jammer dat er geen kussens liggen op de bedjes . De stoelen en ligstoelen zitten erg hard met name voor ouderen wat minder fijn. Huisje bed badkamer prima en schoon. kussens op ligbedden en makkelijker stoeltjes om beter te kunnen zitten

- Chris (10/5): Lovely Calm Oasis in Sigiriya - Lovely location, far enough from the main road to be peaceful and tranquil, Lakmal and family were lovely and cooked a fantastic Kottu Roti for us on the first night. Lakmal gave us perfect recommendations for our trip up Lion Rock and organised an excellent elephant safari for the afternoon. The chalet was beautiful, comfy and had Air Conditioning, the pool was great for a morning dip and breakfast was perfectly proportioned to keep us going until dinner. The WiFi doesn't really get as far as the chalet and isn't great even in the main building where food is served.

The room was clean and comfortable with good A/C and a mosquito net. We had a delicious home cooked breakfast and dinner which was definitely worth paying extra for, really recommend. The pool was also much appreciated in the hot weather to cool off and relax in the sun.

Was so helpful organising hot air balloons, drivers, jeep safaris, anything we wanted! Also drove us into town a few times or helped us get tuk tuks. The breakfast was very tasty with them providing something new to try each day. Highly recommend staying at Liyon Rest! The pool loungers could have had cushions and an umbrella for shade. Location a little out of the way but nothing a quick tuk tuk ride couldn’t fix. Don’t let that keep you away.

- Hendrik (8/5): Ein kleines Paradies mit nächtlichen Abstrichen - Die Qualität der Anlage ist überzeugend. Das Chalet ist hochwertig ausgestattet. Das Bett ist super groß, das Moskitonetz ohne Löcher und es umschließt das Bett vollständig. Am schönsten jedoch ist die Ruhe und die vielen Tiere innerhalb der Parkähnlichen Anlage. Freundliche einheimische Besitzer! Das Bett knarzt bei jeder Bewegung sehr laut. Zudem sind die Zwischenwände von Streifenhörnchen bewohnt. Niedlich, aber nervig in der Nacht. Ausscheidungen findet Mansur dem Moskitonetz. Eine Aussendusche am Pool wäre toll.

Es gab nichts auszusetzen.

Der Chef vermittelt auch alle erdenklichen Unternehmungen in der Umgebung ( Liyons Rock, Elefantensafari, Höhlentempel Dambulla....) zu sehr fairen Preisen! Ger zwembad was heel schoon, net als het gehele verblijf! De accomodatie lag op een rustige plek waardoor het enige geluid de natuur met dieren was, dat is toch heerlijk! Een absolute aanrader dit verblijf!

Lakmal organisierte alle Fahrten für uns, Flughafentransfer, Fahrten zu Sehenswürdigkeiten und Weiterfahrt zur nächsten Unterkunft. Seine Fahrer waren sehr angenehme und sichere Fahrer. Der Bungalow war sehr sauber und sehr gut eingerichtet. Sehr gute Klimaanlage und warmes Wasser. Es war wunderbar all den Geräuschen der Tiere lauschen zu können und sich im Pool abzukühlen. Das Frühstück war hervorragend. Die Anlage ist mit 7 Bungalows / Appartments klein und sehr ruhig gelegen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.
- Ekaterina (10/5): Чудесный и комфортный мини-отель в джунглях, отличное место для знакомства с центральной частью Шри-Ланки - Это было прекрасное место для знакомства с тропическим раем! Великолепная природа - и флора и фауна. Вокруг пальмы, бананы, другие тропические растения. Обезьяны, пальмовые белки, павлины, ящерки, разнообразные диковинные птицы. Было ощущение, что мы живем в джунглях! Территория мини-отеля очень ухоженная. Бассейн чистый, можно купаться даже ночью. Хозяин Лакмал и его семья живут на территории. Это их семейный бизнес, сделанный с любовью! Лакмал был очень дружелюбный и помогал с любыми вопросами и просьбами. Он организовал для нас сафари со слонами в парке Хурулу, поездку на аюрведический массаж, на своем тук-туке может отвезти в любое место в окрестностях. Местороспаложение стратегически удобное для поездок по центру острова. Совсем рядом - гора Сигирия. Недалеко - Дамбула с его знаменитым скальным буддийским монастырем. Полонарува чуть подальше, но нас очень впечатлила! По дороге видели дикого слона! Канди еще дальше, но однодневную поездку туда можно совместить с питомником Пинавелла и башней Амбулувава. По приезду в мини-отель мама Лакмала угостила нас чаем и приготовила национальный ужин по умеренной стоимости. Также мы заказывали у нее чудесные ланкийские завтраки и один раз пообедали. В местных кафе скорость обслуживания очень низкая, поэтому у Лакмала было удобно кушать в комфортной обстановке, чтобы не тратить время на ожидание. Мы жили в домике на сваях, дети - занимали половину стандартного коттеджа. Номера были очень просторные, уютные, в эко-стиле. Постельное белье и полотенца чистые, освещение и сантехника в отличном состоянии. Много столиков, шкафчиков, другой мебели и полезных мелочей. В целом у нас создалось впечатление душевности и заботы. В домике на сваях теплую воду надо было дожидаться из-за бойлера.

- Gemma (10/5): Great place to stay, good location ! - This is such a great spot if you are staying in Sigiriya. The room was very clean and included aircon. The pool area is great and outside your door. This place is everything you need. The host Lakmal was super friendly and attentive. He organised Tuktuks to both rocks for us and a taxi when it was time to travel on to our next location. He also cooked a great Sri Lankan breakfast in the morning. Bars/restaurants are a few minutes away in a Tuk Tuk. Highly recommend, thank you for having us 🙂 /

- Valdas (9/5): Overall nice and pleasant stay. Few minor details would improve the stay. - Nice area, nice pool, ac was working good in bungalow, good breakfast, pleasant property owner. Wes reserved two rooms. Insects in area appeared in the evening, but thats completely normal. We did not use these bes linens as it was fine without it in the rooms. Bath could be updated, at least in our bungalow, the first one, it looks a bit old. Bed linen is outdated, needs to be changed for sure, we dont use it as it was too old and yellow.

They were so hospitable, helpful and paid attention to the detail. The food was also lovely, and the owner arranged Tuk Tuk tours and a driver to take us back home at the end of our stay. Thank you! - Sanne (9/5): Heel fijn verblijf voor in Sigiriya - Ontvangen door een lieve familie, erg behulpzaam en vriendelijk. De kamer was super netjes en groot. Ook het ontbijt en het avondeten waren erg lekker. De waterdruk in de douche was wat minder, maar voldoende. Het bereik van de wifi was niet zo goed, maar op vakantie is dat misschien niet erg ;)

- Robert (10/5): Fabulous, clean property with the best host we’ve ever experienced - Our cabin was fabulous, incredibly clean and very peaceful, as was the surrounding garden and pool area. We absolutely loved our stay here, it was an absolute highlight of our time in Sri Lanka, but this was all because of the impeccable service Lakmal and his team/family provided. Nothing was too much trouble for Lakmal -he had a contact on hand (or himself) for any journeys we needed and helped us plan our trips to get the best experience. He even got up at 5am to make sure we made our hot air balloon lift ok. Breakfast was delicious, as was his mama’s dinner! Everyone was so professional and conducted themselves like a well-oiled machine. It felt like we had VIP concierge. Throughout our visit we knew we had to leave the best review we could as Lakmal was a SUPER-DUPER STAR! Amazing lifelong memories made and has left us wanting to come back to Sigiriya as soon as we can! Nothing!

- Danique (9/5): Comfortabel, zeer mooi verblijf met vriendelijke host - Een prachtig verblijf tussen de bomen met een mooi zwembad. De host en zijn familie zijn heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De locatie is vlak bij alle bezienswaardigheden en eetgelegenheden. Wij hebben hier 2 nachten heel comfortabel overnacht en raden het verblijf zeker aan!
