• Frank (7/5): - Ruhige, nicht einsehbare Unterkunft. Ausstattung war ok, alles da aber schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Reinigung für Haus und Pool regelmäßig. Die Ausstattung war ok, aber schon einige Jahre alt. Abends viel Rauch von der Müllverbrennung in der Umgebung. Relativ hohe Nachzahlung für die Energiekosten. Die Klimaanlagen mussten aber nachts laufen, der Kühlschrank 24h.

• Justina (7/5): Okay but not worth the money - Villa was okay, pool was great, beds comfortable. The smell in the villa, especially bathrooms, was so full of chemicals that it was hard to breath. Property does not offer even one water bottle per stay, no other place was like this in Thailand. You also have to pay additionally for the electricity. One day there was no electricity in our town, so we didn't have electricity and water all day - even on this day property didn't offer any water or anything. Vila is a bit far from the city, you have to walk uphill when coming back. Also, if you need ride to the airport and want to save money, I recommend finding the taxi somewhere else.

Slab nivo higiene in čistoče, staro pohištvo, neuporabna kuhinja. Pričakala nas je slabo očiščena vila (številka 2), klima ne deluje, po posredovanju Bookinga so prišli serviserji. Drago glede na nizek standard. Najslabša izkušnja na Tajskem na tokratnih počitnicah.

• miguel (8/5): Fabulous location, fabulous staff, fabulous time. - Location was fabulous. We’ve been to Lamai several times and for a family this is a great location. Close to Lamai and close to the main road to get round the island, but far enough away that it was very quiet. The staff were fantastic - friendly and wonderfully helpful. It really makes a difference to a stay as to how you are treated and they were all great. Having towels provided for the swimming pool and beach was a nice touch. I’m sure it’s well advertised and perhaps I just missed it, but the additional electricity charge was a bit unwelcome. I fully appreciate and applaud their efforts to be sustainable by putting the onus on guests to use electricity responsibly. Hopefully this is something I just missed. I would also suggest something more comfortable to sit on in the living room. These really are minor points though and we’d absolutely stay here again.

• Olga (7/5): Отличная новая вилла, но сервис хромает - Отличная новая вилла вдали от шума Расположение под горой среди джунглей, звуки природы повсюду, при этом за 15 минут можно дойти до шумной оживленной улицы От ресепшена 2-5 мин идти до виллы, но при заселении нас встретили и довезли на тук-туке с чемоданами. Мы ходили пешком до пляжа Ламаи и до 7-11 (15 -20 минут) А если нам нужно было на другие пляжи - вызывали такси - такси подъезжало прямо к вилле Мне очень понравилась планировка виллы, с каждой спальни можно выйти к бассейну около бассейна есть крытая терраса где мы проводили большую часть времени На кухне есть все необходимое для приготовления еды Что не понравилось? 1. мы проживали 4 дня, нас было трое. в ванных комнатах было по 1 рулону туалетной бумаги максимально тонкой и дешевой, она прилипала к коже, рвалась в руках. Когда бумага кончилась, т.к. это была самая тонкая и дешевая бумага, мы попросили принести еще. нам сказали, что для проживания на 4 дня не приносят бумагу. В любом случае я рекомендую управляющим виллы сменить туалетную бумагу и оставлять на вилле как минимум по 2 рулона качественной хорошей туалетной бумаги в каждой ванной комнате. Представьте если вы снимете виллу компанией 6-8 человек (а вилла рассчитана на 6-8 человек). Этот момент мог оказаться приятным - но испортил впечатление о сервисе на вилле. 2. облуживание бассейна происходит без предупреждения - мы лишены были приватности 3. на 1 день из четырех в поселке отключали свет из-за каких-то работ, даже за такой момент нам не сделали комплимент в виде туалетной бумаги. Мелочь - а приятно было бы! 4. В туалетах нет принудительной вытяжки, стоит высокая влажность

• Eliena (8/5): Helaas naar huis gegaan met gevoel van oplichting - Het is heerlijk om na een rondreis een eigen plek te hebben met zwembad, wat een luxe! De accommodaties zijn niet identiek waardoor het huis anders kan uitpakken dan op de foto's staat. Op loopafstand van de hoofdstraat. Vlak bij een leuke koffie/ lunchtent. Personeel (schoonmaak zwembad/ nachtportier/ tuinonderhoud) werkt hard. Jammer dat we na een fijne week zijn weggegaan met een gevoel van oplichting. Uiteraard waren we op de hoogte van de nacalculatie van de stroom. Echter dan moet dat ook verrekend worden zoals het hoort. De eindafrekening van de stroom klopt namelijk niet! De kwh wordt berekend aan de hand van een decimaal (dit is normaal gesproken het cijfer achter de komma), je betaalt dus 10x zoveel, en met een man als elektricien weten we echt wel waar we het over hebben. Ze geven echter aan dat dit zo berekent moet worden in opdracht van de overheid. Wij hebben overdag de airco niet aangehad, en 's nachts op ecostand en hadden een rekening voor 1 week die bijna gelijk was dan ons maandtarief in Nederland, lijkt mij toch stug gezien het gemiddelde loon in Thailand. Niet onoverkomelijk maar er was ook geen 2e handdoek pp en geen drinkwater (in de koelkast aanwezig op nacalculatie). Voor deze prijs verwacht je geen buitentafel waar de randen van stuk/ zijn en waarvoor we zelf dan maar een tafelkleed hebben gekocht om er comfortabel aan te kunnen zitten.

При заселении все объяснили, показали. В холодильнике было пиво и прохладительные напитки, но при выселении заплатили за то что было выпито.

Grab taxi's car & mopeds available at anytime. Villa a little tired, shower not very powerful though ok. Had clean towels provided though didn't smell fresh, again old & need replacing.kitchen sink / draining board very limescaled. No mirrors anywhere except bathroom. Had to move villa for last 2 nights due to 2 of 3 bathrooms not draining well & flooding bedroom. We were looked after very well & moved us very quickly to another villa almost next door. Reception & maintenance staff extremely good.

• Hollie (8/5): Good enough just need better furniture. - The staff were friendly and when I told them we were celebrating a 60th birthday they did a fantastic job at decorating the bedroom, it was such a lovely surprise. The location for walking to the Main Street is good about 10mins down hill (we would get a taxi back). They need more furniture such as sofa and chairs. We had 6 people and there was only one very hard and small sofa which wasn’t comfy.

• Rita (10/5): Exceptional - Nice, large, private space, rooms had great air conditioning, convenient 10 minute walk to the Main Street in Lamai, pool was cleaned every few days. Main living room area didn’t have air conditioning but a fan that works just perfectly. Outside table has a fan too that was great. Refund for the deposit took a while to return, approximately 8 working days and the 5% fee charged to make the payment wasn’t returned. However this was done on credit card which may be the reason, would have been good to know.
• Khalid (3/5): I feel the property doesn't worth the amount I paid. - The treatment from the host was very unpleasant and I can even say they were rude. There are lots of insects.
• Fred (9/5): Superb - The ease of us all together in same place was great. Having our own pool was handy too. Rooms were large, and air con great. Some places don't go cold enough, sawan goes as cold as you want. All in all, a great villa in a fantastic location, kept clean by the staff. Very helpful they are as well. Easy walk into town or a cheap taxi. And can always use grab if your hungry and want a quick delivery Next time we're back in koh samui, sawan is a definite place to return to. We spent 10 nights and our electricity bill was £75 and we had air con on constantly in 3 rooms. So ignore the moaners who go on about having to pay a bit extra. Place was a bargain in our eyes. Well recommended There was nothing we disliked, but maybe another settee in the main room would be helpful. Other than that all was good.
• Sheila (9/5): Superb - The villa was large and the pool was fabulous, great for cooling down in the heat. It was close to Lamai, which had shops and restaurants and plenty of choice. Easy enough to walk to approx 10 minutes with some small inclines but doable. The villa had lots of space and plenty of outside furniture for lounging around. The outdoor fan was great in the evenings for keeping the flys/mosquitos away. There was only aircon in the bedrooms and they charged for electricity at a per unit rate. The living room area was very hot at night in June, it had a ceiling fan but that didn't disperse the heat enough and uncomfortabl ( 30+ degrees). At the end of the holiday and only using the aircon in the bedroom the charge was approx 20 euros, but it would be nice to not have this worry during the holiday when watching your budget.

• Sittichai (5/5): Passable - The Villa locates not far from the market/supermarket, in 3 min can join the main road by car and can travel around the island. The villa has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. And 2 of bathrooms can' t be used because of a clogged pipe.
• Kayleigh (6/5): Very private. Lovely pool and garden.Needs air con in lounge and could have been cleaner. - Really private and in a quiet area. No one can overlook the villa or garden/pool area. The pool was nice and we had a lovely spacious outdoor area with sun beds and table and chairs. Lovely plants and trees in the garden and surrounding area. Beautiful sitting by the pool. This place is all about the private pool. The outside is better than the inside which is very basic. It was unbearably hot without air con in the main living room. We put on the air con in all 3 bedrooms with the doors open when we sat in the lounge to try and make the lounge more bearable but it was constantly hot. Really annoying we had to pay for electric and water separately too…especially as it’s a necessity to have air con in Thailand! Cost us over 1000 baht for the electric and it was just 2 of us there from about 4pm on 27th May until 5am on 31st as we had an early flight. I thought this was quite expensive for Thailand. Just a bit annoying to have the extra cost and also a 10,000 baht deposit which is over £200 and as we were flying home the day we checked out it meant we lost money exchanging it back to British pounds in the UK. Would be much better if they just held card details and charged if anything was broken rather than having to hand over that much cash. The villa was quite dirty, bathrooms were very tired and dirty and there’s a problem with the drainage as the toilets smelt funny and if you flushed one, the other 2 toilets bubble up. This place could be amazing if they just cleaned it properly with cleaning products before people checked in and got air con in the lounge. Small changes to make a huge difference and totally worth the stay. I loved the privacy and pool and garden but wouldn’t stay again because of the air con situation. We knew before we booked and thought it would be ok with air con in the bedrooms but it wasn’t really. Could stay somewhere nicer without the faff of a big deposit and extra charge for electric. Bathrooms need upgrading and mosquito nets on window or extractor fan to let hot air out when showering. Moped is definitely needed to get around.

The ideal location, the city center just fews minutes, it is preferable to rent a scooter to get around. The villa is completely clean, private and quiet. The private pool is a must !!! The staff is helpful and very kind. I recommend !!! The villa need a little refreshment but that does not spoil the stay
• Kristen (1/5): DO NOT STAY HERE. We were sadly disappointed with the poor misrepresentation of the property. - The pool was nice. Unfortunately, nothing else was a reflection of the photos that were advertised in the booking.com listing. The towels were old, faded, and scratchy, the villa was not in good condition with the kitchen cupboard door falling of the hinge and overused & tired looking fixtures. I have stayed in family-friendly hostels that are so much better than this villa. The actual condition of the villa did not match the photos advertised. We were so disappointed that we asked for a full or partial refund within 10 minutes of arriving at the property and departed without spending one single night of our seven night booking. Unfortunately, the property owner did not support a refund of any type and proceeded to call me a liar.
• Jess (8/5): Idyllic, peaceful setting with beautiful garden - Lovely villa in peaceful and beautiful location. Comfortable beds and friendly staff, easy to get to local amenities. It was a shame that for a villa of 6 beds (we were 5 people) there was only one small sofa, we expected more from the photos online. We also only had a table outside and no area inside to eat, which was fine but again, not as shown in photos. Was a bit disappointed pool was not cleaned daily and had rough concete around the edge, not tiles as shown in photos. Light in bathroom was poor with no mirror in bedroom. Apart from that we had a great stay here and would definitely recommend.
• Francis (8/5): Very good - We loved the privacy of the garden, the pool, and the patio. We enjoyed the space so much that we didn't go to the beach before the evening to eat dinner with our feet in the sand. To be honest, the bathrooms are very tired. They are more like bathrooms you find in backpacker guesthouses. Also, the electricity allotment is stingy. We were very careful but still went over.

• Philip (8/5): Lovely location, a great place to spend a couple of weeks to relax in a beautiful part of the world. - Great location, really nice and quiet which we were looking for. Own transport is recommended to drive to the nearby town, although only 5 mins walk away. Great space and privacy in the villa. Swimming pool was really good size and condition, not too deep for the children. The villa was comfortably big enough for our family of four, with three good sized double rooms. The beds were nice and comfortable which is sometimes hard to find in Thailand! Nice garden with out door dining and seating areas. Difficult to think of any negatives. If we were pushed to find something I would say the lighting in the bathrooms could be a little brighter for getting ready, and my wife would have liked a dressing table for the bedroom! The patio doors could do with some new locks.

• Ben (2/5): OK villa. Terrible customer experience. - I'm trying to write as balanced a review as I can here. Overall the property itself was pretty solid. The villa was in a good location, close to Lamai beach and shops. The property was pretty tidy and spacious, the rooms were comfortable, the A/C worked well, and the private pool was nice for the kids to enjoy. One of the ensuite bathrooms had a very unpleasant smell throughout, making it unusable. The property gave us an air-freshener to help, but in all honesty, it didn't. The check-in process was very hastily done, so we didn't understand how to use the stove for cooking. The Sawan doesn't have a member of staff working on a Monday, and given we checked in on Sunday evening, we had to wait until Tuesday morning to actually speak to someone about it, despite me sending messages via booking.com on Monday. We had to spend additional money on meals out that we weren't expecting as we couldn't use the stove, despite having a fridge full of food. The main problem we had was on Tuesday, when two members of staff came round, one member accused us of lying when we said we didn't know how to use the stove, and the other member of staff secretly was filming us during the discussion without our permission. My children were in the room, therefore in the video too, including my five-year old daughter in her underwear. My elder daughter mentioned that she saw them filming us, so we demanded to see the phone and found the videos in the deleted files. We escalated this to booking.com, but because we had paid directly through the venue, they couldn't offer us a refund and the property refused to refund us the unused nights after the incident. As a result, we had to stay given we couldn't afford to lose all the money we had paid and book additional accommodation. Honestly, this could have so easily been solved by having staff working on a Monday to address our issues, but our privacy was completely violated and then a refund was refused. My advice - choose somewhere else to stay.

Fine with car but slightly further than I'd want to walk too often with little kids Only annoyance was the electricity allowance seemed pretty low, we had to pay around 400thb extra for 6 nights but only used aircon in 2 rooms and only when we were in at night

• Jethro (4/5): Basic outdated villa, bad service. - Location was in a quiet part of lamai, good for quiet stay with family, the villa had all basics you need, power was included for 30kwh per day and was enough, Aircon in bedrooms, beds ok. Internet ok. The villa's and furniture are outdated, it was not clean and neither did the cleaning made it better. We had cockroaches, sliding doors had openings in them. My biggest issue is that staff rips you off, you would expect that the accommodation make enough profit from renting you the villa but also on other activities they add a top up for themselves. So renting a motorbike we got the story all motorbikes were rented out on the island but they knew people, turned out they have deals to rent out with local party at 250bht per bike whilst if you go out yourself it is 150bht per bike per day (which we did after 1 day as I did not trust the whole conversation anyway) We also had 2 snakes in the garden near the pool, it can happen, but they did not know how to deal with this, one guy was able to get one away they other hid in dead parts of a tree, they needed to get materials and never returned. No place to properly sit with family indoor in the evening either (lack of furniture) and yes advertised without Aircon in living room but really missed that. For this price per day there are way better alternatives available.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Villa located in a quieter area - Hotel staff: Con: Informed the receptionist (2 days prior) that we needed an early check out at 6am as we had to catch our ferry. They mentioned that they will be at the villa at 5.45am, however they appeared at 6.15am which caused us to be late. Con: Came up with excuses as to why they couldn't do laundry for us even though we were willing to pay double the price (compared to other places). They asked us to go down the road. Cleanliness: Con: The white towels provided for the rooms was very stained (black and brown strains). Con: We paid the cleaning fee that was listed and received cleaning once in 4 days, but the job was not done properly (sand still on the bathroom floor, dishes not cleaned, sheets that didn't fit the beds). Villa: Pro: The villas itself was very comfortable, the beds was comfortable and the villa itself looked new. The pool was nice and clean. Fees: Pro: The additional fee for cleaning and utilities was displayed on the Expedia site prior to booking, which we agreed to pay at the time of booking. Con: The property also charges additional fees for power usage, which turned out to be quite high in cost for a 4 nights stay.
