Guest Reviews
- Henry (10/5): - Lovely stay. The hotel owner is very friendly and hospitable.
- Gunther (8/5): - Sehr nettes Personal.
Goed restaurant.
- Peter (10/5): Best hotel ever - Great value family hotel, lovely room, great service, great location overlooking the river, delicious food evening and morning, delicious wine, excellent bicycle storage.
- Kasper (10/5): Amazing service, food and nice people. - I csme super late, but they made sure I could get in and my room was ready. Amazing service, sadly the pillow was very flat, but that's okay ❤️

- Humam (8/5): - Was cery nice place for chilling but no airco in the hotel, the area wass great ❤️
- Marcos (10/5): - Cozy property located just next to train stop. Warming welcome and very attentive staff, willing to help and make you feel comfortable. Breakfast was super and Isabel (in reception) was very helpful guiding me on all my queries about public transport, etc. Will definitely return next time.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful time on the Mosel. - We arrived wet and tired, After a 7 hour drive from northern Germany. We were greeted by a wonderful host, who immediately helped me to park. What a good start. It only got better. Nicely appointed rooms , bathroom with heat and wonderful big tub. Food was delicious and the beer was Chimay. Add that to a view of my favorite river and kind and generous staff. I’m sorry we could only stay 2 days. Oh! Forgot to mention I do have a
problem with stairs, I have to use a walker, but was able to manage with help from very attentive host and staff, I believe there may be a room or 2 on the first level if you book ahead.
- Neil (6/5): - Like other reviews I would echo that the owner and staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, breakfast was included and was very nice and in continental style, the terrace overlooking the river was very nice, the room however was very basic, beds not comfortable, room was not clean, cobwebs everywhere which spolied the visit.
- Geoff (10/5): Excellent quality hotel and restaurent - Lovely hotel with lots of interesting antique decorations and comfortable spacious room.Owner made us feel very welcome at check in.Excellent evening meal in the restaurent and good breakfast. Quiet, peaceful area overlooking the Mosel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice comfortable stop-over on our journey to Greece, good food in the restaurant, lovely terrace overlooking the villa. Good breakfast. Friendly staff and good service. Comfortable clean room with a good shower. Enjoyed our stay, would happily use this hotel again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A very lovely hotel with a lovely owner. We were made to feel very welcomed and enjoyed our stay. The location is a very long bus journey to Luxembourg City centre so be aware.
- Rachel (10/5): Lovely place to stay and rest - This was a lovely peaceful hotel in a tranquil location along the river. Had it been warmer we could have sat outside, but it was unseasonably cold during our stay. We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel restaurant. The food was great. We would definitely stay here again. It’s a great overnight stop on our regular route from the UK to Southern Europe. The staff spoke English.
- Aaron (10/5): I recommend this hotel - Very friendly and welcoming service. Restaurant is first rate. A good value.
- Narcinia (10/5): - It was a wonderful stay, away from the buzzling city noise. The place is cool 😎 and the most we love is the people we’re friendly and nice we love the food served with service deluxe.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good location. Quiet rooms and slept well. Great sunset views from your terrace. Friendly staff. Bedrooms small but adequate.
- Fabien (8/5): A host that makes the experience! - Located in a quaint village very close to Luxembourg (<10 min) and France (<20 min), it is perfect for a quiet, lay-low stay. This being said, you’re not too far from anything, which can make it a very convenient option. It worked great for me. Alex, the host, makes you feel very welcome from the get go. He speaks English, French, German, among others. Most helpful! The room was spacious, and the mattress was REALLY good. A couple of dust mites found, but nothing bad. From my room, you could hear discussion of people talking downstairs, but it was not overly disturbing. Just happens with an older house. Easy parking all around. Breakfast was basic, but worked. The real treat is that you feel like a VIP in this “pension” with your name written on a slate that determines your table, so when you get up in the morning, it is waiting for you! What a clever idea! I thought it was a wonderful touch. I see myself returning when in the area because the experience was quite positive. I will recommend to friends traveling through the area.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The owner, Alex was wonderful. We had a very long drive from England so only made it downstairs the next morning after everyone else had checked out. Despite that, Alex had laid a table for us and even made us eggs. The room may have been a little basic but his hospitality more than made up for it
- Kate (10/5): - Nestled in wine country, this hotel was a cozy oasis to stop and enjoy the beautiful Luxembourgish and German countryside. Alex, my contact at the hotel, could not have been more welcoming and kind, making me wish I could extend my visit to stay longer. The hotel was clean and well kept, safe and lovely. I'd return with any opportunity!
- Parnia (10/5): - Very nice, clean and comfortable hotel. Food in restaurant was very delicious. Very close to Luxamburg.
But on top of all Alex the owner was a great help and welcoming.
We for sure go back and recommend to all of our friends.
Oh by the way breakfast was included and was very great.
Hotel by itself is a gem.
Thanks Alex for a great memory for us,
Parnia and Mike
- Michael (10/5): Great location, excellent accomodation - Another place Google Maps seems to have a problem with. We ended up in a field 15km away! Anyway, Alex kindly left us details on how to find our room and we really enjoyed our stay.
Breakfast was fantastic and it was nice to look out over the river to Luxembourg on the other side.
- James (10/5): Food lovers - Brilliant hotel with an amazing view of Luxembourg, the patio area which traps the sun make it perfect to enjoy a beer or glass of wine. The food is out of this world, I personally had the steak I want to go back again. Very nice host they make you feel welcome.
- Hana (10/5): Clean, Quiet and Friendly - A small hotel placed right in front of the mosel river, with an amazing view on the river itself. Nice countryside atmosphere. The place is operated by the owner and his family, and everything was taken care of from top to bottom with a big big smile!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Lovely family run hotel, on the river
- Very nice comfortable hotel just metres from the river Mosel. Great location. Our room had a river view. Perfect place to stay if you enjoy cycling or running, also ideal for a day trip to Luxembourg or Trier, Germany’s oldest city and Karl Marx’s birthplace.
- MarkyB (10/5): Overnight stopover - We chose this hotel mainly based on location, as we were looking for something 4-5 hours’ drive from Calais on our way to Austria . We could not have made a better choice and look forward to returning. Would love to spend longer in this region.
- RAMIAH (10/5): our stay at restaurant Zur moselterasse - lovely place... well run by Alex and his wife Isabella... a charming and interesting experience staying in a restaurant with rooms
lovely food and ambience... the view from the restaurant was astounding and Alex was really helpful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful Stay! - We had a lovely stay at this family owned hotel! Thank you for the hospitality.
- leena (10/5): Wished we had stayed longer - Loved the restaurant hosts superb fabulous setting and in a wine region what more could you ask for
- Lisa (10/5): Lovely river view from the patios! - Great stay! We enjoyed the river from the patios. Dinner was fantastic as was the wine.
- Sandra (10/5): - Lovely location with great views and access to the river
- stuart (10/5): Great host, good room, Excellent food, good.... - My wife and I stayed here from Friday to Monday the week before the Easter holiday. The new owner/ manager is brilliant...multi lingual, very helpful and charming. The place seemed quiet when we arrived and in a very quiet village too overlooking the River Mosel. The room was good with ample room, good Wifi and a shared large terrace on our room level to sit on and watch the day go by. Food is exceptional, service is good, Friday night was quiet but Saturday was almost full. The menu is good but the portions are huge but with quality. Sunday we hired bikes (€12,50 a day each) from the hotel. We managed to cycle about 17km each way along the bike path which passes directly passes the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, we may still revisit yet this week as we travel back toward Dunkirk from southern Germany.
- Mark (10/5): Good hotel next to the river. - The owner was a great host. The room was very nice and had everything that I needed. The location is great, close to many things to see and multiple countries. It's a fantastic jumping off point. I would certainly stay there again if I was going to be in the area.
- veronica (2/5): I paid and dont have room - I get the reservation and my room was busy because he just give it to someone else because he dont have my reservation, i show the reservation at Expedia but he said he dont have it.
- Timothy (10/5): Wonderful stay! - Occasionally you stumble into a really cool place, comfortable, well kept, with great ambiance, a wonderful view, and fabulous food. This is one of those places. Highly recommend the Hotel & Restaurant Zur Moselterrasse and the hotel team that create such a great environment and a welcoming feeling. And if your lucky you'll arrive on a night with live music and blues.
- Paul (10/5): Totally Enjoyable - Very pleasant stay. Alex, the owner/manager, is a terrific guy and tremendous host. Food and lodging were excellent. He helped kick start our vacation on a very positive footing. As first timers to Palzem, Germany and Luxembourg City, Luxembourg; we were soon put at ease with our adventure and situation.
- Kris (8/5): Great place and view - Nice comfortable place to stay the night with bar and restaurant. Great staff very welcoming and friendly.
- Roy (8/5): Lovely guesthouse overlooking the river Rhine.
- A lovely place to stay in a small quaint village.
Room and terraces overlooked the river Rhine.
Staff were polite and helpful, although it was their 'day off' so there was no bar or restaurant service.
- Stephen (10/5): Steve. England - This was the best place we stayed at all holiday. We were touring on a motorcycle around europe and there was a safe place to park the bike. The hosts were the friendliest i had come across and were very helpful. The view from the terrace with pint in hand was stunning.I will be returning at some point in my travels.
