• kpiddy (4/5): There must be better hotels around - A lot of research went into our stay at Seongsan, I hesitated to book the Golden Tulip but it appeared the best of the hotel in the region for our needs. Check-in was smooth, on entering the room for the first time our room was pleasant and of an adequate size. The bathroom was dimly lit, neat and clean. Our issues were that the hotel had disabled the air-conditioning with the only option of leaving the balcony sliding door open for ventilation and to cool the room down. Only problem with that is the traffic noise which finally settled late at night but begins again before dawn. The bed was made with a fitted sheet and a quilt, no top sheet. The mattress was satisfactory but the pillows were terribly soft becoming flat once used. The hotel shows signs of age. Breakfast was not included in our room but I purchased breakfast coupons from reception before 11 pm at a slightly discounted rate; children under 3 years eat free. The breakfast buffet was extensive with the majority being Korean fare, there was an adequate amount of western choices all being much sweeter than expected. There even was ice-cream and waffles. Minimal/no fresh fruit, mostly tinned or frozen (lychees/rambutans). Parking was on-site and very narrow. There were plenty of restaurants in walking distance of the hotel and a fabulous bakery. The biggest disappointment was housekeeping, while the towels were changed daily and bottled water supplied, the making of the beds was substandard, a standard I have never come across and had hoped not to encounter again until our stay in Seogwipo!!! It looked like no attempt had been made to make the beds neatly, instead the quilt was 'thrown' over the bed, over the top of the displaced pillows, it looked an absolute mess! I needed to correct straight away for our my pleasing. Had I have known that the air-conditioning would be disabled leaving the room too warm at night for sleeping comfortably, needing to have the balcony door open to cool the room down but then encounter traffic noise and that housekeeping were unable to make a bed, I would not have stayed at the Golden Tulip Seongsan.

• U3013NKrachaelh (2/5): Horrendous Service Terrible Environment - Room is actually semi-fine considering a small tourist island's standards. However they disabled the air conditioner for the spring season. Unfortunately it's hot and stuffy without it. We tried calling downstairs (24h service supposedly, it was 9PM) and they answered after a few tries. Terrible terrible attitude and asked us to open the balcony when we literally face an area of trash and the main road. Won't come back again.

The parking area within the hotel compound is quite small, if you return to the hotel late you will have to park at a random parking lot a short distance away from the hotel, the staff will let you know where you can park. Toilet looks a bit on the older side but room still looks good. The hallways are very dimly lit and looks quite scary.
• Musings_MJ (10/5): Value for money hotel with huge rooms - We stumble on this hotel by chance as we were looking for a hotel with larger rooms. Rooms in most hotels in the Seongsan area are less than 30 m2. Golden Tulip Seongsan offers Premium Suites which has a separate bedroom with king size bed and a double bed in a separate room. Bathroom also has a separate shower and jacuzzi. You get beautiful views of Seongsan Ilchubong from the room. Breakfast at the hotel is a bit pricey at 15,000 won. There are 2 bakeries just outside the hotel and a large CU where you can grab food. It is also about 8 min walk to Goseong Five Day Market which is well worth a visit. Note that the hotel has very limited onsite parking so if you arrive late in the evening, you will be directed to park at an open air free parking area across the hotel.

• Jea (10/5): 다음번 제주여행에도 골든튤립성산호텔 - 성산일출봉 뷰 를 원해서 이 호텔을 예약했는데 정말 좋았고 만족했습니다. 주차장이 불편하다고 하던데, 조금 좁기는 했어요. 호텔 뒤편 외부 주차장에 주차하시면 되구요, 단 18:00 이후에서 다음날 아침 09:00 까지는 무료인데, 나머지 시간대는 유료입니다. 호텔 길 건너편에는 무료 주차장이 있습니다. 호텔 뒤편에는 맛나식당, 포장 횟집 등등의 음식점 많이 있습니다. 다이소도 있고 편의점도 많이 있어요. 저는 만족했던 호텔입니다. 다음에 또 숙박할거같아요.

• Verified traveler (6/5): 이곳은 몇 가지 문제점이 있다. - 전반적으로는 훌륭하다고 볼 수 있는 숙소입니다. 성산일출봉까지 차로 5분거리, 깔끔하고 정갈한 시설. 근처에 유명 맛집도 있고. 하지만 몇 가지 문제점이 있습니다. 첫번째 가장 큰 문제점은 주차공간이 매우 협소하다는 점입니다. 저는 그래도 한 번은 (직원분의 허가로) 통로에 댔고, 한 번은 좀 일찍 일정을 마무리해서 내부 주차장을 이용할 수 있었으나, 만차라서 다른 공영주차장이나 유료주차장에 대야하는 경우가 매우 빈번한듯합니다. 처음에 들어갈때는 심지어 아랫층 내려가는 통로에 차가 주차되어있어 들어갈때 매우 고생했습니다. 둘째로는 화장실 문입니다. 화장실 문이 샤워부스마냥 강화유리로 되어있습니다. 화장실 문이 강화유리인게 뭐가 대수인가 싶겠지만, 다시 이야기하면 샤워부스처럼 경첩 부분을 중심으로 한 세로방향 일자로 손가락 너비만한 틈이 있다는 이야기입니다. 좀 험하게 쓸 경우 객실 내로 물이 샐 수도 있지만 뭐 물은 일부러 뿌리지 않는 이상 샐 일은 많지 않겠고 결정적으로는 화장실 냄새와 습기가 객실내로 다들어옵니다. 셋째로는... 이건 솔직히 말씀드리면 호텔측의 문제라기엔 억울한 측면이 있고, 항상 이런건 아니겠지만...... 호텔 바로 앞의 회전교차로에 모 정당 선거사무소가 있어서 아침 이른시간부터 저녁 늦은시간까지 선거운동으로 시끄러웠습니다..... 이건 시기가 영 좋지않았단걸로.....

• Junho (8/5): 가벼운 마음으로 숙박하기엔 최고인 숙소 - 청소 상태가 아주 깨끗했고 아무 냄새 없이 깔끔해서 넘 맘에들었습니다. 시설이 특별히 고급스럽거나 인테리어가 특별하거나 그런 부분은 없지만 침구도 편안한 편이고 위치와 전망이 너무 좋아 기대 이상으로 만족스러웠습니다. 계절 따라 다를 수 있겠지만 여름 기준으론 아침에 눈을 뜨자마자 성산일출봉 위로 떠오르는 해를 볼 수 있었습니다.
• HYO SEOK (6/5): 청결함이 아쉬워요 - 조식도 맛있고 위치도 좋아요. 단, 청결함이 부족해요. 옷장안 유리선반위에 옷을 놔뒀는데 먼지땜에 하얗게 되더라구요. 그리고 세몀대 배수구 버튼이 고장났는데 그거에 대한 대처도 늦어서 아쉬웠네요. 마지막 하나는 저는 7층에 머물렀어요. 근데 발매트가 모자란가요? 하우스 키퍼는 7층에는 원래 안놓는다하여 전화로 프런트에 문의하니, 고층부터 발매트를 놓는다고 하는데.. 모자라면 채워놓던지 하셔야지요;; 이틀내내 키퍼분께 달라고 해야지만 놔둬주시는거는 아닌거같네요.
• BYOUNGGON (8/5): 위치가 아주 좋은 호텔 - 대중교통을 이용하였는데 버스정류장이 아주 가까운 거리에 있어 이용이 편리했고 광치기해변이나 오조리 철새도래지가 가까이 있어 산책하기에도 좋았다. 주변에 음식점들도 가까이 있어 이용하기에 편리했다.
• Verified traveler (8/5): - 작년에 1박하고 조식이 너무 맛있어서 이번에는 2박을 했습니다. 여전히 조식은 너무 맛있습니다. 물론 특급호텔과 비교하면 요리라고 할만한 음식수는 적지만 몇가지 있는 음식들이 다 정성이 느껴지고 맛있습니다. 다음번에 제주여행 오면 또 묵을 예정입니다.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Good - 숙박 시 제일 먼저 냄새와 청결을 보는데 이 숙소는 두 가지 모두 훌륭합니다. 또한, 위치가 아주 좋습니다. 이번 출장에는 렌트비용이 비싸 대중교통을 이용했는데 전혀 불편하지 않았습니다. 내년에도 출장이 있는데 다시 이용할 예정입니다~~
• INWOO (2/5): 제주도 여행의 옥의티가 된 숙소 - 주차장이 부족해 길거리를 돌아다니면서 주차를 해야 한다는게 어이가 없구요, 데스크 직원들은 웃음기가 전혀 없는데 눈치가 보일 정도네요. 블로그보고 갔는데 역시 블로그는...재방문 의사 없습니다.

• Jungmin (10/5): - 전반적으로 다 괜찮았어요. 개인적으로는 더블베드 하나만 필요해서 싱글 빼고 공간이 좀더 있었으면 했지만 (틈틈이 요가 하느라) 뭐 어쩔 수 없죠. 창밖으로 성산일출봉 보이고요. 아침도 무난하고. 침대 메트리스가 아주 편하지는 않아요. 쫌만 더 고급이면 좋으련만 ㅎ. 시트 깨끗하고 베개도 편합니다.
• Verified traveler (8/5): 조식 오션뷰 꼭 하세요! - 리셉션 친절하시고 룸 컨디션 좋아요! 방은 좀 좁지만 가격 생각하면 아주 훌륭해요! 복도랑 층간 소음은 좀 있는데 감내할 만 합니다 오션뷰로 예약했는데 아침 일출이 아주 멋졌어요. 꼭 오션뷰로 하세요!! 성산일출봉과 바다가 보이고 이걸 방 안에서 볼 수 있다니 아주 행복했습니다 조식 정말 맛있어요! 꼭꼭 추가하세요 야채가 신선하고 진짜...너무 맛있어요! 전복톳밥 기억에 남네요 그 외에 모든 게 맛있었어요 가짓수는 적지만 맛이 최고입니다~!

• Frances (8/5): Handy location, pretty basic hotel. - A simple hotel with a handy location. I paid for a sea view but was quite disappointed with a low floor room and a very distant sea view. The pool (an extra charge) has a nice view. The room was comfortable if rather small. The o my welcome from the hotel both by text message and on arrival was ‘we don’t provide toothbrushes’.

• Paul (8/5): Nice hotel - good location and great breakfast - This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. The 1st trip was brilliant. Unfortunately, the room this time had damage and it hadn't been repaired very well. However the room was clean and smart. The breakfast is amazing and the staff are friendly. The hotel is also in a great location!
• Paul (10/5): - Fantastic hotel!!!!!! Great breakfast, basic rooms with everything you need, friendly staff (they spoke a little English), good location for Seongsan - but the highlight has to be the roof top pool and bar. I was there in October and the pool was heated. So I was up at the bar and swimming every evening (until gone 10pm). Would stay here again
• Verified traveler (2/5): 기본도 못하는 호텔 - 호텔의 기본 중의 기본은 청결이라고 생각합니다. 이전 투숙객의 흔적이 고스란히 남아있는 화장실, 베드, 슬리퍼.. 정말 묵었던 호텔 중에 최악이었던 것 같아요. 변기 시트에 오물이 그대로 묻어있고 베드에도 뭔지 모르는 더러운게 묻어있었어요. 슬리퍼도 일회용이 아니고 고무? 같은 재질인데 사용감이 그대로 보여서 너무 찝찝해서 신지 못했어요. 어메니티 기대하지 마세요. 칫솔 치약 세면도구 다 챙겨가셔야 돼요. 체크인 데스크 직원도 친절하지 않고.. 수영장도 돈내고 사용할 수 있어요. 주차장도 자리가 없어서 걸어서 5분 거리에 대야되는데 횡단 보도가 앖어서 한참 돌아가야돼요. 정말 별로였던 호텔.. 딱하나 장점은 성산일출봉이 보이는 바다뷰밖에 없었던 것 같아요.
• thelonious22 (6/5): Disappointing stay - Golden Tulip Jeju Seongsan Hotel is a few kilometers away from Seongsan’s main sights (Sunrise Peak and Seopjikoji) but has good bus connections to other areas and is close to a lot of dining options. While the lobby and the exterior looked fine, there were too many things that weren’t in good shape inside the room. The bathroom got flooded after one shower and the AC system was primitive, taking forever to kick in after adjusting the temperature gauge.
• Norrizan (8/5): Pleasant Stay - Most satisfactorily. A clean and comfort hotel. Pleasant and helpful satff.
• Verified traveler (6/5): When the cons kinda outweigh then pros - Pros- beautiful sunrise from the ocean view room. There’s a convenience store in the hotel. Close to Aqua planet Cons- we had a leak through the walls/glass of the shower into the adjoining room making the carpet and bed spread completely drenched. When we reported it to reception they said they couldn’t do anything about it that night and only replaced our bedspread, fair enough. However, we stayed for another 2 nights and there was no attempt to rectify or ameliorate the situation. The room was damp and uncomfortable. Parking- first in best dressed. The location means you have to drive however there isn’t enough parking to cater for everyone. There’s additional parking but located offsite and can be a pain in the cold. Mosquitoes- the fly screen had a small hole in it so we refrained from opening the door despite the unbearable heating but I think housekeeping must open it during their visit (maybe because the carpet adjacent to the shower was drenched or the heat) and we spent one sleepless night getting both bitten and swatting for mozzies.
