Fairly close to a lot of food options and attractions. good off street parking. Will stay here again. The road nearby was noisy with local goons. Nothing the motel could influence.

Walk to Botanical Gardens, river boardwalk, shops and cafes. A great cafe-Mr Benedict next door- & Indian Chimney restaurant 2 doors away. Only that that beds are too firm.

iamgjc (6/5): A tale of two perspectives - I have stayed here quite a few times over the years. On the last visit, I stayed in a room, top floor, facing Dean St. It was nice to have somewhere to sit outdoors and enjoy the passing parade of hoons in Falcons and Commodores, and motor bikes of all types accelerating from the lights east up Dean St, west up the hill toward West Albury, and south to Wodonga. This "entertainment" started at about 7 pm and went on for hours past midnight. All this on a week night, I might add. To top it off, the occupants of the adjacent room were also on their balcony but they spoiled the view of the "entertainment" and the aroma of burnt petrol and two stroke with their continual plumes of vape and cigarette smoke. As a reader, you might detect a touch of sarcasm in my review and I commend you for your observation. However, apart from the excellent room (internally designated non-smoking), the great location (to better forms of entertainment), and value for money (relatively speaking), I really couldn't bring myself to continuing my association with the Regent Motel. It's a shame really. The motel could apply a blanket no-smoking rule on the whole property, but there is nothing they can do about the bored locals who love their cars too much.
