Loved the view.enjoyed the sea breeze and the fact u could just stroll off the deck and across the road onto the beach. Great little spot. However, the building finishes could have been executed to a professional standard and were a bit of a let down especially at the price we paid to stay there. The toilet leaked water out the bottom of the toilet pan. The sliding doors were super hard to open and close. None the less we enjoyed our stay.

You're right on Emerald beach, there's a great restaurant next door and the place is a great little place to stay. Helpful information available on the table Kangaroos inhabit the area so you see them on morning walks and shading under trees. We loved this stay - was great waking up and just being able to see the sea. Would liked to have spent more time there. No pool available to us but that's OK because there are plenty of beaches around - suggest Jetty beach.

It is very well stocked with living essentials and choices of where to sit. Love it. Bathroom in unit 1 could be updated to be more like unit 2. (Eg shower). But it remains very functional and a minor thing.

Everything you needed was there including servettes, paper towels, pod coffee machine with lots of high strength pods, candles, toothpicks. Loved the bowl of lollies. Decor was warm, creative, eclectic. Big picture windows with fabulous views of the beach waves. If I had to say anything that would just take it too that next level of perfection for me...it would be a vase for some tall flowers & an ice bucket for that bottle of french champs...wonderful & thanku. Forgot to mention - no screaming kids - better still.

• Paula (9/5): Lovely - Location is 11/10 and the view from the couch was just lovely. So relaxing, I was sorry to have to leave. Room was clean and bedding was very comfortable - as good a sleep as home. Sheets maybe a little stiff, but that is typical of hotel bedding. The room was well supplied with clean fresh linen, and the host was extra welcoming and kind, making sure we knew where we were going and that we had everything we needed. The kitchen and bathroom were stocked with cleaning supplies and quality hand washes and lotions, so we didn't have to go buy things for our stay. The configuration of the room and the windows lacked air flow through to the bed area. There was an a/c unit, though. It was just a shame not to have those lovely sea breezes sweeping into the cabin. Maybe a floor fan would help direct them through. The couch was a bit beat up and itchy, which was easily enough resolved with a lovely soft throw blanket from the cupboard.

The beach was literally across the road and was a lovely walking beach with lots of very happy dogs gallivanting in the waves. The tides do go out quite a long way which made beach fishing a little tricky but we understand there are other local spots to try. The shower was remarkable for a holiday rental - lots of good pressured hot water. The walks around the headlands, etc. were very scenic and the kangaroos added to the 'local flavour'. Rattles Restaurant next door was a joy. We stayed for 10 days and had a truly relaxing holiday. Thank you Maryanne and Keith - we hope to return again before too long.
