Ryan Hall (8/5): Overnight in Lusty Beg - Im from Belfast so very used to noise pollution.Being down here the only noise I heard was of jet ski's and boats.We absolutely loved the location and the relaxed vibe felt during our stay Tbh there wasn't an issue at all.I was completely relaxed and 100% happy during my stay. Will definitely be back again sometime in the future

Anna (8/5): Really recommend this spot for rest and relaxation - The room was spotless and so spacious. Tea and coffee facilities in the room available. We had dinner and breakfast and both meals were delicious. There was a great variety to choose from as well. The dining areas are so cosy, especially with the open fires. Everything about Lusty Beg was fantastic. Unfortunately there were some really noisy guests staying, which is out of Lusty Begs control, but that was the only negative thing that I can share.

The views from the island are pleasing to watch. Listening to the sea and watching the waves crash into the rocks was mesmerising.

The spa area , the pool all could do with a serious clean. Outside what has the potential to be an amazing place to have your morning coffee is neglected without tables and chairs even cleaned. General running of the resort has lacked greatly. Where is the maintenance man and cleaners? Place is not kept very well

Location is very run down and old particularly the reception, bar and restaurant - feels like a school trip vibe. Although it is great it is dog friendly it could be so much nicer with new furniture and a face lift.
Paul (6/5): - It was a great location, staff, accommodation and activities to do on the island. 1.Moss on the walkway and patio of the cabin made the area extremely slippery with a few close calls. 2. When having dinner at the restaurant, random people started filtering through from the bar area occupying empty tables even though we and other people were trying to have a personal dinning evening. 3. We weren't able to book any of the spa sessions as they were fully booked. So recommend you advise visitors in advance to do so.

Although thought this was veryyy expensive for what it was really. Black Mould on bathroom window. Rooms need a refresh Extractor fan not working in bathroom Spa swimming pool was fine. Litter left around it from previous guests was concerning. Male changing room completely soaking. Toilet was loose. Got up early for made to order breakfast after confirming with staff the previous night. Turns out this is only when there is less than 40 booked in for breakfast. Buffet it was then. Could have slept longer as a result.

BRILLIANT MEAL AND BREAKFAST WAS SUPERB. CANT FAULT THE FOOD. SWIMMING POOL IS DATED AND TILES ARE OFF ON THE STEPS GOING IN. BEDS IN ROOM VERY SOFT WITH ZERO SUPPORT. GREEN SECURITY LIGHT IN BEDROOM WHICH REMAINED A CONSTANT ALL NIGHT AND ANNOYED EVERYONE IN MY FAMILY, SLEEP WAS JUST HORRENDOUS! IN THE BAR AREA, EVERYONE HAD TO ENDURE A LOUD BOISTEROUS YOUNG FAMILY UNTIL 1030PM, TIRED AND SCREAMING KIDS RUNNING RIOT AND THROWING TABLE LIGHTS ACROSS THE FLOOR. WE LEFT AND DIDNT GET TO ENJOY OUR RELAXING NIGHT. THIS ACTUALLY CONTINUED AT BREAKFAST AT 830AM WITH SAME FAMILY PLAYING LOUD CARTOONS ON IPADS AND PHONES IN THE BREAKFAST AREA. STAFF STOOD BY AND LOOKED ON. IM NOT ANTI CHILDREN, I HAVE KIDS, BUT THESE PARENTS WERE RUDE AND DIDNT CARE LESS WHOSE BREAK THEY RUINED. ALOT OF MONEY FOR A ONE NIGHT STAY. PITY IT ISNT RUN PROPERLY.

We had no toilet roll in our room and we went to reception they told us they would send someone down but still didn’t receive any when we left the next day. The spa was a joke pool was freezing and the treatments wasn’t the length of times on the booking. The breakfast wasn’t great.

I loved how everything was so close in walking distance. Staff were lovely & so helpful. Food was lovely & breakfast Lovely cocktails & entertainment. The pool was poorly lit. The changing rooms were cold & damp. We stayed in the cabins, really nice & cosy but the bathroom floor when wet is extremely slippy & so was the shower floor too. Would have loved if the cottage pub was open but maybe it’s a summer thing.

When we reported to reception I was disappointed with the response we received as it was initially disbelief then when offered evidence excuses and a watery apology was offered. This took away from our stay. As above the bugs and report. The pool was lovely but perhaps a little too warm as was the room.

The bar and dining area were extremely cold. We would have stayed there longer but we went back to our cabin to warm up. The fires and radiator were warm but unfortunately there were bad draughts

Matt (9/5): Amazing location, great food, and friendly service. - Getting away, relaxing, felt calm, quiet and relaxing. The food was excellent at both dinner and breakfast. Kids really enjoyed getting to use the pool. We had the sound of water gushing down the wall, it was an issue with the room upstairs, however we made the most of it but it did disrupt sleeping.

Mark (3/5): Extremely underwhelmed - The island is idyllic, as is county Fermanagh. The studio lodge we stayed in was extremely tired and looked as if there has been no money spent on the upkeep in quite a while , on opening the door we were met with a musty smell , other issues were veneer broken on bathroom cabinet , mould in corner of shower , fridge had a large block of ice and was in need of defrosting , door saddles in poor repair , broken radiator valve , back missing on remote control and the batteries fell out every time it was used , dirt/foreign object stuck to curtain rail , the bathroom extract fan was filthy. Our buffet breakfast was inclusive in the price at the hotel , the bain marie had a total of 8 heat lamps to maintain the hot food and plate's temperature but only 3 of which worked , some of the food was luke warm at best , the plates were stone cold and by the time you got to the dining table the breakfast was unacceptably cold , the hotel itself was also in need of tlc long cracks/rips on the bar bench seats , staff were not very attentive (except for the lady in the spa/swimming pool area who was first class) pool also had some tiles missing on steps down in . NOT worth the cost for two nights !!!

Patricia (5/5): Disappointing given the potential this place has and the marketing . It doesn’t live up to standards expected or promise - The setting is fantastic While the staff are friendly there’s no sense that guests are welcomed or really looked after. Reception was chaotic and breakfast was self- catering with no one around to help guests. Given the cost of the accommodation I would expect better standards of hospitality
Shannon (10/5): Beautiful little Island - Such a beautiful place. This was our first time here. We came from Canada for a wedding at Lusty Beg Island. The ferry was convenient the place we stayed in was comfortable. The food at the restaurant was delicious. The staff are so friendly. If we ever get a chance to come up here again we would definitely stay.
