- CHRISTIAN (10/5): Siempre voy a ese hotel y me va muy bien solo ese problema del agua. - Todo muy bien Me querían cobrar por una agua que no consumí, en la nevera cuando llegamos había solo una, y les tomó como 10 minutos en tomar una decisión, y eso me retrasó en llegar al consulado.

Toen we vroegen of we een bus moesten reserveren naar Cuenca kregen we te horen dat dit niet nodig was. Dus wel. Uiteindelijk met een taxi gegaan.

- Alfonso (10/5): Excellent and Friendly place! - Hotel del Centro is the finest placed I have ever used. Staff is a friendly team who made my hotel easy to enjoy it. Christmas decorations were well used. We enjoyed this hotel.

- Geoffrey (7/5): A bit bizarre, refer to my notes, we won’t be back. - The location for a short stay. The staff tried to charge us an extra $10USD at check in for our two night stay, saying it was due to taxes. We showed our price specifically taxes and other charges were included, the manager took the details of our booking, disappeared for a minute and came back saying the price had been updated and my booking price jumped up the USD $10 in front of me on my phone. My Spanish speaking wife argued stating what was originally on our booking was all we should pay, the manager insisted on the updated, higher figure. Unbeknown to the manager I had also booked two nights accomodation at this place for a week later, I copied a photograph of this and showed him what the price was for two nights, once seeing this he agreed to charge us the lower figure. This was a conversation of between 25-30 minutes with the receptionist present at all times. On our return for our second stay a week later the same receptionist tried to charge us $10USD again(different manager present), she claimed not to remember us from the week before, it took about 10 minutes to have them agree to only charge what was on Booking.com My wife and I also observed that middle aged men checked out of the hotel in the morning with females who were dressed up like they had been out the night before, neither people had luggage and whilst the male checked out the female left immediately. It was noticeable that at the front door they had gone in separate directions, go figure?? This is the only place I have stayed in where you have piped music into your room as you are trying to sleep. I had to go to reception twice to get the manager to show me how to turn it off. We also had two nights of drunks singing and talking loudly, loudly enough to keep my wife and I awake.
- Stephanie (8/5): Good value for money in the centre of Guayaquil - The room was confortable (even if we were able to hear our noisy neighbor). The breakfast was good. The hotel is really close to Malecon 2000, which is the place to visit in Guayaquil, and not far from the Parque Seminar and Aerovia (the cable car). We were able to let our luggages as we had a flight late in the afternoon. A little difficult to talk to the hostess, but the security guy help us.

- Kathy (6/5): Mixed Feelings - The hotel was very clean! The room had hot water and good AC. The bed was comfortable. So, all the essentials were there. However, it just didn't feel right. It's not in a safe area. The desk clerk is locked behind what I assume is bullet proof glass. The hallways are all tile so noise just flows down them. We chose to stay here the one night we were in town before boarding our flight to the Galapagos because the hotel is within walking distance of the Malecon. We did indeed walk to/from there - very quickly and quite uncomfortably. The Malecon itself was fun to experience! The hotel staff were very accommodating about calling a safe taxi to the airport for us in the morning. We left too early to experience the breakfast.
