Guest Reviews
- partha dey (10/5): - Great place to stay with 3 families together. Great city access and nice host.
- KYOTA (7/5): -
- Phongsutham (10/5): - The property is so comfortable with the good stuffs
The rooms are suite to the group of friends and family.
- Shizuri (10/5): -
- YUET HIM (8/5): -

- Makito (8/5): -
- Karen Maree (7/5): Good family stay - Good for a family

- Khanh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Natthapol (8/5): Very good -
- Anqi (10/5): An ideal guest house. - The place is full of Japanese traditional factors. Very spacious and well equipped kitchen. The host is super kind to respond our questions and requests.
- Alizuren (10/5): Exceptional - Fully equipped for a family stay. Quiet within a residential housing. Well kept and very clean.
- (kpkt-jkt) (10/5): Good and great place to feel like nihon homestay - Its a great place to stay and feel like Japanenese Tatami floor
- Xin (8/5): Very good - Perfect for experiencing what living in a traditional Japanese house feels like.
- Wong (8/5): We like this Japanese tradition home style, - Traditional feel and amazing clean Nothing only property looks too old
- Malwattege (10/5): Japanese style home - Retro, clean, spacious and in a nice location and clean. It’s everything you need in a nice small town. The host was nice and it is worth the price. I’d recommend here to anyone! Can’t wait to be back😊 It was a bit cold most probably because it’s a old house but there were heaters in each room even the kitchen
- Alyssa (7/5): A nostalgic b&b in Toyama - It was well equipped and had a nostalgic feel with vintage knick knacks! The property seemed to be a backpackers hostel back in the day, it was nice to see the little notes left by earlier travellers!
The staff sends across a PDF document with lots of info and recommendations which is helpful - a tiny feedback to update it as it states that breakfast is provided (it is not). Overall, it was a little cold in the corridors and in the bathroom despite the heating. While the kitchen was well equipped, some of the utensils (eg water boiler) is a little rusty and well-used.
- Colin (8/5): Neat little house for groups - Plenty of beds and extra wash basins catered for groups. Kitchen was well appointed and there are two small toilets also. Tatami arrangment with flat sheet provided. Access to property can be a little tight, especially when trying to get out from parking spot to main street. Not a problem if you have a small car. Ours was an eight seater and took some maneuvering to get out each time. Blanket did not appear to be clean so make sure you use the fresh flat sheet to layer between.
- Lynn (10/5): Perfect stay for a large group of people. Extremely good Cospa. - The place is super spacious even though we had 10 people.
The owner was extremely kind and efficient in assisting us and replied really quickly.
The best owner I have encountered so far!
The place is clean and is within 5 minutes walk from the nearest tram station.
There was a supermarket and a local public hotspring within walking distance.
The futon beds were very comfortable. Nothing.
Everything was perfect.
- Boriss (8/5): Very good - Very good place with lots of space and its own unique atmosphere.
- Htwe (6/5): fun stay.. - unique Japanese style home stay.. no rice cooker. need a simple rice cooker..
- Krishnamoorthy (7/5): Good -
- Jinaporntum (9/5): This is a good place to stay peacefully. There is a nice park nearby as well. Good for family. - Traditional style and there are 2 restrooms and basins which good for group of family. Nothing
- CA (8/5): Beautiful traditional house, very good stay - This was a lovely stay in a beautiful traditional house.
Negatives first:
The bathroom could do with a new coat of paint, and the futon on the bunkbed was painfully thin.
However, so many positives!
Well cared for traditional home with authentic features like tatami floors, sliding doors, futons, trad bathroom plus modern electric toilet, well equipped kitchen
The owner (Himeno-san) was lovely and let me check in early which was very much appreciated, the other staff were friendly and chatty too. It's about 8minutes walk from OkudachugakkoMae station on the Portram line or 18minutes from main train station. Very quiet residential area with supermarket 3 minute walk away.
I had a lovely stay here, thank you!
- Michelle (6/5): - The bedroom was too close to the proximity of the living room so I heard everything and everybody. And the futon was very thin without cushioning underneath so I basically slept on the floor.
- Amy (10/5): Nice traditional Japanese house - Nice place. The lady who checked us in was kind and helpful. A little bit of a walk from the station, but it’s good to get some peace and quiet.
- Ka Shin (10/5): Good hostel at Toyama - The guesthouse is about 15-20 minutes walk away from the train station. There's one super mart within 3 minutes walk so it's convenient if you need to get something. The bed is clean and comfortable. As the size of the guesthouse is not too big, it's easier for you to talk to the people who also stay there. The only downside is the wifi connection get disrupted quite frequently so if you need internet connection it can be rather annoying.
