  This large suite offers plenty of natural light and features plantation shutters on the windows, which overlook views of the tree tops. You may also see local kangaroos grazing on the field early and at sunset in the evening. The apartment has a separate Queen bedroom with a second TV and large built-in wardrobes. There are 2 single beds in the living room area along with a TV and a 4-seater dining table. The private bathroom includes a double-size shower and complimentary toiletries. There is also a kitchenette with full size fridge, microwave, kettle, coffee/tea making facilities and a range of kitchenware. Please note pets cannot be accommodated in this room type.

• Agusta (8/5): Overall it was convenient and value for the money - Location nearby to most of beaches we went to, next to IGA, room was ok, everything you need is there like fridge, ac, tv, microwave, amenities. Carpet was dirty upon check in, not vacuumed. No slipper and have to wear sock in the room otherwise our feet are dirty

• Aditia (9/5): A great value stay with plenty of potential to deliver an even better guest experience. - We understand that prices can fluctuate at short notice, and overall we found this property to offer good value for money. For our small family (2 adults and 3 toddlers), the space worked really well. The layout was practical — I could comfortably work from the sofa while using the dining table for my laptop, and we were still able to enjoy family time together watching TV. Having two TVs was a nice bonus. The property is large enough so the kids can run around and jumping around. With our stuff already unpacked neatly at the drawer. We also really appreciated the extra towels, linen, and pillows — those small details made our stay much more comfortable. All lights, electricity, and appliances were functioning properly, which made everything smooth and hassle-free. Overall, a comfortable and practical stay for families. 1. Check-in process and access The property uses an electronic lock, which is a great feature. Whether the code is reset manually or remotely via WiFi, the access process could be made more efficient. Instead of requiring guests to call the assistant (who was very helpful), it would be more convenient to send clear check-in instructions — including the access code — via message or email shortly before the agreed check-in time. This would streamline the arrival experience and reduce the need for additional coordination. 2. Cleaning and maintenance We understand that the building is older and has a classic character, which we appreciate. However, the level of detailed cleaning could be improved. During our stay, we noticed the following: Dust accumulation on top of the microwave, fridge, wall edges, and closet railings Some leftover debris inside the microwave and fridge Bathroom shower railings with visible mould in the grout, which would benefit from deeper cleaning The AC filter appeared dusty, and the cooling/heating performance did not feel effective Smudges on the exterior of the rubbish bin and fridge (noticed immediately upon entry) As we remove shoes indoors, we became aware that the carpet may not have been thoroughly vacuumed When using the sofa bed, we found rubbish beneath it and multiple stains on the mattress protector after removing the linen — not excessive, but likely due for cleaning or replacement. Please provide with extra cleaning consumeables, like bin liner under the kitchen sink. Overall, the property has strong potential and a very practical setup for families. With improved cleaning detail and a smoother check-in process, the guest experience could be significantly enhanced.

• Carole (1/5): Why book and pay 1 month in advance for this property when the front door is closed and no one (3 mobiles & differen - Absolutely nothing We booked and paid a month in advance We received a message asking our ETA. We replied however, when we arrived at the property it was closed but a welcome sign was in the door and 3 mobile numbers to call. But no one answered the calls/messages We called the 3 mobile numbers twice and sent SMS messages and waited outside the property for more than 40 mins with no response at all. We decided to call Bookingdotcom since no one was responding. Bookingdotcom called the property with the number they had available but no response also. After more than 90 mins waiting outside the property we decided to go and look for another place to stay
• Schultz (1/5): - The accommodation was dilapidated- we felt unsafe, we were prepared to seek alternative accommodation. I would not recommend this property to anyone. The cost price pernight was the lure, the reality was unacceptable.

The instructions provided via phone were not very clear and the foyer smelt very humid. There was no staff member present during our check in at 3pm. All instructions were given over the phone.

• Anna (4/5): Very average accommodation. Mould in shower & poor customer service - The bed was comfortable, the tv had sufficient streaming services. Mini fridge was good. Furniture was nice There was mould in the shower! I contacted the owners/people managing via booking.com and they told me that someone had been in to clean the mould. When we got back to the apartment there was no sign of any cleaning being done at all and there was still mould in the shower. (Photos attached- in more places than photographed too!). I tried to do the right thing by contacted them to let them know! Pretty disgusting The bathroom door also didn’t stay shut so we had to put something in front of the door so it would stay closed. There was an international couple waiting outside one day and said they called all the numbers listed on the door and none answered. I offered to call using my phone and eventually someone picked up. They were pretty impatient with the French couple, saying she couldn’t understand them (they spoke perfect English) and asking to be put onto me. She then asked if my partner and I could show these new guests to their room and put in the code to the door and show them where the key is. We were happy to help because the French couple were lovely but it’s really poor customer service. How would they have gotten into the main door if we hadn’t used our key pass?

Malgré la plainte faite au personnelle, nous n’avons eu aucun retour, ni changement. C’est inadmissible vu le prix payé. Nous devions laisser la chambre à 10h et une personne y est rentré avec la clé à 9h50 pour regarder si on était encore là. Aucune intimité. Je ne recommande absolument pas l’hôtel.
• Alaa (3/5): - Despite the uncleanliness of the room, luckily the sheets and towels were fine. I was surprised to discover that the room was not clean. There was dirt on the carpet in the main area and the bedroom. The amount of dust that was in every corner, not to mention the large dark spots on the carpet, makes it clear that this room barely gets cleaned, if at all. You might also want to know that dust and debris from maintenance work was left uncleaned in the bedroom closet along with plaster next to the kitchenette.

The place was really dirty.. dust was everywhere, towels had stains on them. The smell in the front was unbearable. There was not a single of box of tissues in the room. Tv was connected to internet but internet wasn't working at all. It didnt work on out phone for WiFi. We used the iron but there was something powder coming out of it. Lucky we took our own as well. Side tables had dust on them I didnt wanna put my phone there I had to clean before that. We even looked up for changing the hotel unfortunately it was too late... as we just put the stuff in the room at first and left. By the time we came back it was late. If we had option we would of gone else where Couple of photos i took while laying down i wish I did take more.

• Nerida (7/5): Comfortable stay but no coffee/tea cups - This was my second stay at Bay and Basin as I found the room comfortable and loved the location. After a long 9hr drive we were looking forward to a cup of tea but were disappointed to find there were no tea/coffee cups in the room - everything else but no cups - desperate for a cup of tea we improvised and ended up using the wine glasses provided.

• FOREST (9/5): We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Bay and Basin Motel. Sanctuary Point is a cool place. - Lovely host, very nice Lady. Room was enormous, as was the bathroom. Great bed, everything was clean and tidy and we were able to have our Dog with us. The location of the property was located within walking distance of local shops, a fantastic Country Club/Golf Course and the the body of water known as St. Georges' Basin. As Sanctuary Point is also well located on the south coast of NSW, you can easily drive to towns like Batemans Bay, Ulladulla, Berry, Milton and all the other well known places along that part of the coastline. Plenty of bushland, State and National Parks all within easy reach as well. Water everywhere, even the protected waters of Jervis Bay. The Take Away shops up the street have old school Aussie food and the 2 Chinese Restaurants, one in the Club, were sensational. Grey Kangaroos around and the birdlife was prolific. The general area of Sanctuary Point itself could do with a bit of TLC and a good clean up by the Council. Looks like they leave it up to the shopkeepers, who are struggling, especially in the colder months of the year. I suspect they do quite well in summer and school holidays to make up for it. But the streets, gutters, nature strips etc. could be in better shape, as could the large sports oval, amenities and areas outside that particular complex. Few youngens around at night making a mess, as youngens do, God Bless 'em.

• Asha (7/5): Clean, quiet, spacious. - It was clean, comfortable and spacious with decent parking, netflix and air con. Close to the shops and the water. No complaints. I didn't see any staff on check in or check out but this actually suited me fine - I'm an introvert.

• Richard (2/5): Confusing Check-in Time Limits - No one was available to open the front door, so I never even got to stay and ended up sleeping the car. The check-in limit online was midnight. Arrived a little after 10pm to find the doors locked and the lights off except for a storage room. Pounded on front door and no one answered. The phone numbers provided on the door do not connect from international telephones. Sent message through hotels.com and no one replied. It is the following morning now, and still haven't heard from anyone. The room was booked early in the afternoon, so there should be enough notice that I was coming. They sent an auto-generated message and I replied to it. Perhaps adjust the check-in limits on-line or give instructions on what to do for later check-ins so people know in advance. Not sense in driving 4 hrs from Canberra to sleep on the side of the road.
• Catherine (10/5): - I have had a lovely stay at Bay and Basin Hotel. The room was cosy and warm with facilities to heat a meal or make a cup of tea or coffee. At night, after a lovely hot shower, I snuggled into bed and watched the large screen tv and it was so quiet outside. I felt very secure but close to everything. Thanks for the lovely break Bay and Basin Hotel 😊I’ll be back.

• Arnel (8/5): - The property is well located in terms of exploring the Jervis Bay area, just a few minutes drive to Vicentia, Huskisson & Hyams Beach. While in the Sanctuary Point locality, it's all short walks to the shops, restaurants & take away shops. Bay & Basin by itself is a very comfortable place of stay with a well maintained & clean room (Family Room) and it's got all the basic necessities expected for this kind of accommodation, eg. nice comfy bed, Aircon, clean bathroom complemented by a steady stream of warm temp shower water. There is also a Microwave & Coffee/Tea Facility. A Toaster would be a good addition to the room, just a suggestion. The remote check-in process was a breeze, thanks to Kerry for guiding us through the way to access the property. There are a few more things that are good to mention about this place but these are the main ones that I can think of. Would consider staying again in the future & recommend Bay & Basin as a great place of stay when in the Jervis Bay area.
• Graeme (8/5): - Good location and room a good size. Will consider again.
• David (2/5): - We never made it!!! Why you think we stayed is beyond me. I called you four times & left messages but with no response at all I have sent two emails through Expedia with no response. You are welcome to call me on the number on my booking & unreturned phone calls Expedite tried to call you twice to discuss our predicament but was unable to contact you which is the same as my experience.
• Leedia (10/5): - Very convenient location , clean and comfortable stay
• Kenneth (10/5): - Lovely place to stay close to everything.
• Kylie (10/5): - Clean comfortable stay - just what we needed
• Zeke (8/5): - The location is superb, right next to the shopping centre, right next to everything in the town. The property condition is 7/10, but great value given the price.
• Vic (8/5): - Clean, convenient, roomy and very pet friendly
• Michael (6/5): - The term "Boutique Hotel" is misleading for this motel. It's an old building, but the room is modern and clean, although the bathroom seems to be designed for tall people. I'm 182cm(6ft) tall and found the basin too high. There was no room service during my four night stay leading to my suggestion that a two night stay is the limit.
• Elaine (6/5): - We were of the understanding that we would be on the ground floor and really struggled with the stairs. Also a shower chair would have been appreciated.
• Annette (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay. The room was lovely, all very clean and nicely decorated. Great location, right across the road from the Country Club for dinner. Easy walk to the waters edge and cafe.
• Adam (6/5): - Hairs left all over unit, with no benches evidently wiped clean. Two single beds, connected to make queen bed. Very pricy for what was offered.
• Nicolas George's Moussa (4/5): - Foyer was smelly , not the condition for the money we paid
• John (8/5): - Information supplied did not indicate that there were no ground floor units. A lot of stairs. Room was a little cramped.
• Mark (8/5): - It was good
• Ritu (6/5): - Rooms are all upstairs, so you have to lift your luggage yourself to a room with zilch storage. There is a tiny bathroom with no exhaust. No staff … bare minimum tea/coffee and toiletries. It’s all clean but old and musty carpets. Why is it a motel or a lodge … it can be a warehouse of old furniture.
• Pelin (10/5): - We had a lovely experience with Bay n Basin. Staff were lovely and helpful. Clean and well maintained.
