Guest Reviews
- Jennifer (8/5): - A nice motel, comfortable, budget friendly and tidy.
Mario had a can do attitude and with one phone call, fixed a minor issue for us.
- Sandra (8/5): - It was comfortable thank you.
- Wayne (10/5): - Easy to locate and easy access
- Corey (6/5): - Power points behind bed don't work, bed lamps globes blown.toilet seat slips all over the place.🙁
- Janet (6/5): - It was one of the least liked properties we’ve stayed in during our travels. Bathroom wasn’t inviting at all with louvre windows.
Contactless checkin so humanless.
Very noisy neighbours who were outside during the early hours talking loudly
- Hayden F Edwards (10/5): - I do not travel a lot but was impressed with the 24/7 access to room once having made a booking. Overcame the need to arrive when reception was open to check and get room number and the key to the room..
- Bennie (10/5): - We stayed one night on our family road trip. It was neat, clean and looked new. Perfect for what we required for the night
- Emily (8/5): - Comfortable beds and really easy checkin with door code texted prior. A little out of town but convenient if just needing to stop for the night. And surprisingly little traffic noise!
- Michael (4/5): - It's an OK motel for a quick stopover but don't expect much.
Walls are paper thin, can hear guests 3 rooms away.
But otherwise, fairly clean and reasonably comfortable beds.
- Yvonne (10/5): - Staff very friendly. Room clean. Wished we could have stayed longer.
- Jann (10/5): - For a basic overnight , no fuss stay it was fine. The self check in is an excellent idea. The staff down the road at the Highlander Restaurant and at the William MacIntosh were lovely.
- Kim (10/5): - Quiet
- JOYDIP (10/5): - Excellent for families! Good value for money you spend !
- Ronald (8/5): - The room was good value, close to town, on the main road but not too rowdy. The Bed reading lights could have been
brighter.
- Donald (4/5): - .
- Malcolm (8/5): - Easy check in very noisy when people left at 4am
- Elina (2/5): - The staff or owners, were noisy until late. Then loud talking and laughing at 5am. Music and loud talking/laughing at 5:30am until 6:10am.
- Ian (8/5): - It was a good price
- Gerald (6/5): - To say it was newly renovated, it would fail the approval of the Building code of Australia. no disabled hand rails, hand basin too high, no appropriate soap holder, Wasted approximately 12litres of water before hot water was available. These items spoiled what was a beautiful vacation.
- Craig (8/5): - Super easy electronic check in. Tidy rooms & a comfortable bed. Not the flashiest place but bang for your buck you can’t go wrong.
- Janet (6/5): - Light swich face plate hanging off the wall. Very limited and uncomfortable chairs. However cleanliness was good.
- Peter (8/5): - It was quite and the food was good.
- Chris (10/5): - Mario was absolutely sensational, extremely friendly service, will definitely be staying again
- Blake (8/5): - .
- Valerie (10/5): - My sister and i found everything in good condition and nothing to complain about
- Rose (2/5): - It looked like it was undergoing Reno’s and had tarps on the roof. Had we not already paid we definitely wouldn’t have stopped. It was very noisy both with passing trucks and next doors beeping microwave at 5 in the morning sounded like it was in our room. No outdoor lighting under the verandah
- Gayle (2/5): - Mould on fridge cheap thin bed linen and blanket roof being repaired over all rooms. Holes in ceiling floor heavily stained. Cleaner friendly owner not
- Boyd (4/5): - Room full of flies, roof being replaced early in morning, trouble with door coding, small print on self check in printout very difficult to read at night.
- Erica (4/5): Overpriced and run down, don’t recommend at all - This property is so overpriced and underwhelming! I prefer to speak to someone when checking in to find out town information, this was mobile check in. The room stank when we walked in, carpet was dirty and table not clean. Felt like only the bed linen was changed in between stays! Booked & paid for 3 people, only 1 biscuit and 2 toiletry items supplied. Shower water ends up all over bathroom floor. No spare pillows, prefer to sleep with 2 and very noisy being on the highway. The door lock was loose so felt unsafe. Seems to be where the fruit pickers stay too as a bus turned up after we checked in so was noisy for a while.
- jeanette (4/5): Jeanette - We had settled into our room and later on in the night people turned up as a group and they were so noisy and at 12.45 am men talking loudly outside our room which was near the reception area
I left a note plus text a copy to the accomodation phone number and no response
Really spoilt our travels as every other accomodation we stayed at was excellent
- Jackie (6/5): - Small room with dirty carpet. Air con not working and blocked drain in shower. No hair dryer. Pretty ordinary.
- Vicki (2/5): - The uncleanliness, the bed linen was dirty. maintenance, toilet seat was off. Mould around fridge door seal. Fire alarm setting going off, no communication or apology, after I called to notify staff.
- Harry (10/5): - The new managers running the different location were second to none. Being very helpful always going more than the extra mile to ensure a superb stay, the best of my three motel stays between Sydney to Adelaide. They had only just taken over running things but Do great credit to the group. Many thanks THarry M Vine.
- Paul (8/5): - Quiet location. Comfy bed.
- Elizabeth (4/5): - Cold water ran out in the shower, ceiling leaked
- Martin (4/5): - The property is a little bit more tired than than the photos suggest, it was clean but there was a stale smell to the room, there is no fly screens on the Bathroom louvres so once you have vented the Bathroom you will need to close them to keep the Flies out.
Its remote check in with no staff on site, i did not like this at all especially as the permanent residents decided to throw an open party on that Friday Night. If you enjoy groups of loud heavily built males staggering around drunk, swigging spirits from bottles, vomiting in the carpark and falling into cars then this will be the stay for you, i ended up abandoning the stay it was getting out of hand.
Manager was apologetic when contacted and was going to sort this out, i hope he is successful would not wish the experience to be inflicted on any one else.
- Lorraine (10/5): - We chose this motel for the price. It is basic with one basin, kettle toaster microwave. Shower toilet room. No room for chairs or table. It has a queen bed and twin bunk beds. Comfortable and sufficient. Thank you. Easy remote check in
- Jacky (10/5): - Very neat and clean in a garden setting would stay again
- Olivia (2/5): - Sheets were stained with yellow blotches, crumbs left on the sitting table, stained carpet, toilet paper roll was half used with dirty finger prints. I went to use the extra blanket provided, when I unfolded it there was what I am hoping was mud but brown stains all over it. I had to go to Woolworths and by sanitizer spray and cloths to clean it before unpacking which isn’t what you want to do on holiday. Also had to borrow a sheet from a family member. The plug behind the bed wasn’t in the wall and cables were exposed. Very disappointed. I couldn’t believe the cleaners would leave it in such a state.
- Andrew (6/5): - Like other reviews the accommodation is very basic. But the bed was clean and comfortable and water was hot in the shower.
Some better attention to general cleaning could be made such as tables and bedside tables.
The computer check-in without any staff was a bit weird but we managed in the end.
Would only recommend as an overnighter but it did the job for us.
- Sheridan (8/5): - It was a neat enough property, a bit noisy as lots of trucks go by.
- Jaynie (2/5): - The room was very unclean. There were three bugs in the bed when I pulled the blankets back. There was a pill in the middle of the floor. The carpet looked like it had not been vacuumed in a very long time. The plates and cutlery in the room were dirty. The paper bag with the cutlery in it had been used multiple times previously. The floor in the shower was very slippery. When the room door was shut it was extremely hard to open as it kept sticking, to the point one of us could not open it at all.
- Leonie (8/5): - Very basic rooms, perfect for a fast stopover just for sleeping. Well located, easy 24 hour automated check-in
- Susanto (4/5): - The terrace very very dirty and uncomfortable
- Chris (4/5): - No staff on site automated check in room was clean
- Heather (4/5): - Squeaky floors
no curtains so had to have the blind down for privacy
- anamerthyl (10/5): Got everything we needed, excellent and practical! - Value for money; Clean beddings/linens; Clean room; Got everything we needed - microwave, toaster, fridge;
Kudos to the housekeeping team because everything is spotless clean.
Checkin/checkout is contactless and automated.
Highly recommended when staying in limestone coast.
Only drawback is the shower knob did not completely closed off the water flow (maybe loose gasket) - water dripping every 3-5 seconds. Did not bother us, but for sustainability/water conservation, hence I mentioned this.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - 24 hr self serve check in was helpful, was neat and tidy
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Room was ok for the price, I liked the self check in once I figured it out. I wasn't real impressed when I pulled back the blankets & found what looked like a public hair on the sheet. It would've liked to have an exhaust fan in the bathroom so I could see in the mirror after showering.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - easy check in
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean tidy amd handy.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Staff free check in worked OK. Door lock pin pad took a couple go's, but worked OK in end. As per some other reviews. Overall Cleanliness was good, however carpets need a clean badly! (Room 11). Road noise from Trucks is evident and awoke a few times during night from this. If you are a light sleeper, this motel won't suit as its a busy truck route. Bed was comfortable, and clean. Rooms are compact, but as only an overnight stay its quick easy cheap accomodation.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - inexpensive, clean and comfortable
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The room was much smaller than I expected and we found it difficult getting to sleep as there was a very bright security light just outside our window. The kettle must have been dirty on the inside as our hot beverages were undrinkable,
- Verified traveler (6/5): - .
- Verified traveler (2/5): - My children and I stayed here one night, there is a door in our bedroom which is the door between next room. We can hear the next door person talking mobiles with loud voice in midnight, and we can hear the highway traffic on the road whole night and whole morning. there is no rest in this motel, I will never stay there again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Good location and price. Trucks do pass in the middle of the night and the bathroom could do with rethink water was way too hot and shower leaked into toilet area as well as window would not stay open.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - 24 hour check in process seemed straight forward, until we attempted to work out what room we were in. Thankfully there was a cleaner there who told us which room. Code didn’t work, after 3 calls we find out we’d been upgraded to another hotel. Go to the new upgraded room at a hotel down the road, only to discover there are cobwebs, baby spiders crawling up the wall and on the bed our daughter was going to sleep in, and there the discover of 3 spider eggs. We hot-footed it to reception to request a refund so we could stay elsewhere. No availability near by, so eventually agreed to stay in another room at the same property. While it was comfortable, the newly renovated bathroom left a bit to be desired. Toilet bowl around the rim was covered in old remnants, and there were hairs on the floor.
The reception were lovely, however the comment that their cleaner is ‘meticulous’ was quite the fib.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lena abs Efficient and very reasonable Thankyou for your time and hospitality
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I really liked the contactless check in, it was really easy.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The motel was easy to fine, clean and comfortable. All that we requred was at our finger tips. Staff are allways helpful when ever we visit.
- Laura (8/5): - We had a little rocky start with check in mainly due to some system issues, however the manager and staff then went to great lengths to ensure our happiness, offering a complimentary breakfast for the troubles. There were a few maintenance issues which I brought to the staff which they ensured me was appreciated and would be rectified. Great service!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - This stay was okay, a clean bed and a clean shower. It was old but clean. All we needed for a quick stay.
- Durgesh (6/5): Request on cancellation due to Covid - Just before a day of stay, lockdown declared and regional travel banned. We requested Hotels to cancel and refund during this situation. Our booking was non-refundable however I haven’t heard back from hotels.com or this property. I don’t know how to rate this property and service by hotels.com..
- Lawrie (10/5): - The staff and venue was excellent. The Management and Staff are very Friendly and welcoming. Room and Facilities were excellent, very happy to give them a good report.
- Neil (10/5): - I recieved what i paid for... clean room, nice hot shower and a clean comfortable bed. Also Moccona coffee instead of crappy nescafe! Heater was good too cause its freezing in the south east at this time of year!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Far to small and noisy. Will never come back. Only the barest essentials provided.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Room was really clean just a little small. Overall had a great stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Room was well equipped with Microwave, toaster and kettle. Provided crockery and cutlery. Even had iron and ironing board. Bed was very comfortable. Only negative is road traffic very noisy due to semi trailers whizzing by.
- Hayden (4/5): - Conveniently located, locking system and interlocking doors were thin, holes in towels and room smelt of smoke.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The bed was great, the best motel bed I have slept on
- Angela (6/5): Trail run visit - The room was not ready on arrival and had trouble with self checkin. Very basic but convenient.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Ease of checking in & out. Self serve checking easy to follow.
Did not use BBQ area, but will next time as it looked clean and handy.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The auto check in did not work so I had to ring the proprietor. The room hadnt been cleaned at that time (2pm) but was so within 15min. Room was clean & tidy and comfortable.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great value for a budget one night stopover, with fully automated 24 hour checkin. Room was spartan but clean and comfortable. As a lone traveller, there was plenty of space for myself but I’d imagine it to be cramped for the 4 people it was meant to house, especially as there is no place to store luggage.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Unit was clean, needs exhaust fan in bathroom, two of the beds were comfortable but top bunk dipped in middle, had to turn fridge down as everything was freezing up,shower was very clean and water pressure was great
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Self service check in was easy but soulless. Would prefer a friendly face when arriving in a new place.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It had everything needed, comfortable bed and room very clean. We would stay again
- Verified traveler (8/5): - No staff. Amenities at minimum. No electric blanket.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - the convenience to the town centre. The surprise of the quietness.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - For the price we paid, it was exactly what we needed! We thought it was going to be a little less cleaner than what it was because it was so cheap! But the security from when we arrived all the way to the cleanliness was amazing! I really appreciated the fact that I could check in 24 hrs and the fact that there is glass all the way around so I felt safe while doing so. Area was well lit and my husband could ensure my safety while staying warm in the car! Will definitely be staying there again!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Comfortable beds for a good nights sleep.a very good shower.
