• Stanley (10/5): - A nice little "hole in the wall" place. I was pleasantly surprised by our room. We had a 2 bedroom suite. It was very nice. The main bedroom was very nice and the 2nd bedroom was small but served its purpose.
• Judy (6/5): - Staff was friendly. The room seemed overpriced. The breakfast was very limited. The only light, other than the bath, was an overhead ceiling light. There were no bed side lamps. It was in a good location.

• Julie (6/5): - The things that mattered were clean, beds, bathroom, kitchen sink, counters, microwave, stove, etc. Loved having two separate bedrooms. It's just worn. Carpet had some stains, bathroom door was off balance, so had a bunch of towels behind it to keep it from slamming into the wall, just could use a good refresh. Woman at check in was terribly nice. Loved that they had bags of ice available, for our coolers, for free. It was perfectly adequate for our one night stay.

• Christopher (2/5): - Photos online are misleading. Our room had very unlevel flooring. So unlevel doors didnt close or that you felt like you were walking on a boat. This was hard traveling with older parents. The bathroom had light fixtures that didnt work and tile had been put back up with caulk... but had huge gaps for water to get into. So i worried about mold exposure. The staff were lovely to us and it was clean for what it was. However i would not stay here again. For the price, which wasnt much but still expected better.

• Rebekah (10/5): - Our stay was great, again! We were here a few days ago for one night (one night this stay as well) and we had the same room again (which I had booked). There are signs of aging but in no way to inconvenience us. The water pressure in the bathroom's shower was wonderful and it got hot, easily. The kitchen is outdated but works just fine. We were excited to have a "home-made" hot meal and lots of space in the "Two Room Suite, 1 Queen bed in each room, Sleeper Sofa, Kitchen".

• Dave (2/5): Horrible establishment . - Being woke up by the smell of Pot , 3 people outside partying it up till 2am , toilets were about 8 inches off the floor, barely big enough for a adult , hardly worth the price , and TV didnt work ....... to tired to complain at time of checkin . I would not suggest going there . They truly need updates , and security or cctv . BAD choice , will not go back . Cody was easy to work with , check out clerk didnt assist much .
• Rebekah (10/5): Even better than excpected! - This was perfect for our needs! I had booked 1 night in the "Two rooms, one queen bed in each room" and found we were upgraded at no extra cost to the "Two Room Suite, 1 Queen bed in each room, Sleeper Sofa, Kitchen"! Check-in was fast, and the lady at the desk was so friendly and helpful. She gave me a map of town and a couple coupons for Dogpatch and she marked what street the restaurants were on, on the map for me. The suite itself is older with some wear and tear but not in any way that inconvenienced us. The kitchen (although a very old oven/microwave) worked really well and was so nice to have! There was also a toaster, pots and pans and pleanty of counter space to work on. The living room area had a couch, T.V. amd a table and chairs for 4 (with space to spare). The bathroom had a handicap shower so lots of space The qeueen bedrooms were clean and, again, lots of space to store our things. I'll post some photos of the rooms. After dropping off our stuff in the suite, we drove 20min to Miners Beach and had a fabulous time! Then, on our way back, we stopped by Pat's Foods (just accross the street from the Motel) to pick up ingredients for fajitas since we had a kitchen in our suite! We ate super well, watched T.V. and the bed was SO confortable that I slept great after a long day of driving and time at the beach.
• Bobbie (6/5): - The place was very clean. The place was in poor condition, dirty stained carpet-tiles. Marked up ceilings & walls. Bathroom was so out dated, could be very charming with a few MAJOR updates. The floors were at a major plant with some soft spots.

• DONALD (2/5): - Floor was not level. It sloped from the the back wall to the entrance door . It also sloped the other way. Your head was going down hill when you were in the bed. Ceiling fan/light was hanging from the bathroom ceiling. Bathroom sink did not drain well. Found food under the bed. The desk clock did not work. Air conditioner ran but the temperature control did not work. I would not stay here again.

Water and soda was at a cost. Coffee was free. For a quick sleep and wash up and go it was just what you need.

• Jeanne (2/5): - The only thing that was good about our state was the breakfast. Our room was dirty. The floor in the bathroom was filthy. There were ants in the bathroom. There were ants on the countertops carpet. Terrible wallpaper coming down just yuck!
• Oliver (2/5): - Don’t even know where to start. First of all though I would like to say that the staff especially Cody was wonderful. Now for the room itself. Rug was filthy, ceiling light was falling down on the bathroom, the bathroom door knob was falling off, the sink was no larger than a kids toy sink and didn’t drain well. The blanket on the bed was covered in dog hair and smelled like a dog…,disgusting! There was no table lamp only the big bright over head light, no curtains only cheap white blinds. The outside light was right at our window so Cody did turn that off for us. We asked for a different room but nothing was available. As I said Cody the clerk was super nice.He did everything he could to accommodate us. We were suppose to stay 2 nights but chose not too! Never will I go back there. It is so badly need of repair!
• yvonne (8/5): - Location was perfect for all we did in Munising. Friendly staff allowed us to check in early so we could change prior to kayaking. Physical structure of property is ‘old school’ motel with some Wonkey features (carpet squares, tile misaligned in tub, no bedside lamps). Juxtaposed against immaculate cleanliness (old vs clean). Linens were crisp and mattress comfortable.

Motel right next to main route hwy (28) with lots of traffic (semis with jake breaks) & rooms not soundproofed well. Only one nightstand, with no lamps next to bed (overhead light only), and no convenience outlets for charging cells (Power strip balancing on edge of dresser next to fridge near bathroom). Room charge didn't match amenities, but hotels in area @ lower cost were limited based on timelines of our visit to Painted Rock Parks. If you are in area for sunset painted rock cruise, eat somewhere before you go on the cruise because dining and bars are not open after 10 PM in surrounding area.

All clothes stored in the room start to smell bad after being kept there. Basic amenities are also of very low quality. I would not recommend anyone to stay here.

It was easy to find, comfortable, and had a classic charm that was very much appreciated. It was clean and ready for us when we got there. The staff was welcoming and helpful. • Aixa (4/5): Needs some upgrades - It wasn't what I expected. The bed wasn't comfortable, no smart TV. The shower head is dirty and old and linked everywhere. The bed was not comfortable and the room smelled.

Additionally there were bugs in the bathroom. Friendly front desk attendant but overall I think we will spend more for a nicer stay next time.

• Maria (4/5): - Bedroom very noisy the motel is located in front of a busy street with windows all the way around the room. Only inexpensive metal blinds to cover the windows. When you are taking a shower they only have warm water for like short periods and then get cold. The bedroom looks like it’s was sinking because the walls are cracked and poorly repaired.

• irina (6/5): - This motel is a solid 2-star, and a weird mix of new/shiny and old/well used, not the 3-star we expected. For example, really nice wood paneling and a cool moose lightswitch cover, nice paint work in the bedroom. But then a small table with nicks, and an ice bucket, on top of the microwave, on top of a small fridge (with a freezer!) on top of a small dresser. Then a cool picture of the US states made from license plate images. The bathroom has a pretty vanity/sink/mirror, but the lights above don't match as two of them are old and orangish, but the middle one is brighter and new. The toilet seat has been worn so instead of being all white, it has black showing through. The baseboard heater needs spray painting. Oh, and the vanity blocks a clear path to the shower, which is a cracked small plastic insert. But again, all clean. So, weird signals. But the bed was comfy, the sheets fine and the room was clean.

There was a gap on outside door that let a few insects in and one night there wasn't any hot water for a shower. Window AC was adequate, but smelled musty. Beds were comfortable and it was clean.

• Rebecca (6/5): - This 1950s throwback had improvements that looked like they were done without professional guidance. The tub faucets didn’t match. That was confusing. The entry door was hard to close and you had to put your shoulder into it to open. The bathroom door looks like a rodent chewed off a lower corner. My husband banged his head on the “open closet” off the bathroom. Not our worst stay ever but no where near the top or the middle.

The unit was not very clean and there was a trash can full of the previous guests garbage still there at check in. Too many mechanical updates need attention including the bedroom doors that don’t shut, the bathroom shower rusty baseboard heater, and the windows all with broken locks. Will not stay again

• Ryan (4/5): - Had to dip early ‘cause it was hotter than hell in that room. No A/C, just a fan they dropped off at 3AM like that was gonna fix it. Slept like trash, woke up sweaty and annoyed. They tossed us a $20 refund like that made it all good. Place might’ve been fine if it wasn’t a full-on sauna all night.

• Linda (8/5): Great room except for shower - The room was nice, clean, and relatively large. The only problem was the shower. It was very difficult to shut the door so water would get all over the floor.

The shades in our room were broken, and they were cheaply made with no room darkening ability at all, and no curtains to help keep the light out. The water was hot one minute, and cold the next, even if you let it run for awhile. For the price I expect better. Very nice staff at check-in. With a few updates could be a nice little motel.
• Steve (6/5): - Friendly check- in person, but room had a bit to be desired for cleanliness and overall condition of the room. You could hear everything in the adjoining rooms as well. No way to adjust the heat in the room other than opening a window. No major issues overall, but definately a sleepcheap experience.

• Ashley (10/5): Great location, cozy stay - Super cozy stay for two adults and a pup! Towels, bedding, and some items in the kitchen and bathroom provided as well. Staff was friendly from the beginning of booking. Made our short and sweet trip to the UP one to remember!! Super solid location for plenty of waterfalls minutes away, pictured rocks, and even going into Marquette was cool.
