- Amelia (10/5): Magical - Never stayed anywhere like this. Felt magical sitting on the deck over the lake to see turtles and koi fish. At night, you can see the stars and hear the beautiful sounds of nature.
- Lee (10/5): Beautiful experience - Beautiful scenery overlooking the water. We had a delicious cheeseboard recommended by the owner with the complimentary wine on the deck. Very clean. Good location near the wineries we wanted to visit. A few tiny bugs here and there on the fruit fly scale. Nothing too crazy, just keep the doors closed at night. Made a new baby frog friend while we were trying to sleep. Gave us a good scare, but the frog was actually adorable. We let it back out.
- Emily (10/5): Peaceful tranquil setting with stunning aesthetics. All the personal touches made our stay 10/10. - Our boathouse was simply stunning! The aesthetics were stylish yet felt like home. All the personal touches made the stay so comfortable. Our favourite part was the deck overlooking the water,.. they provide fish food which encouraged the fish and hungry terrapin to come and see us each morning. It was so peaceful and tranquil. We loved the little touches like providing plates, wine glasses etc which meant we were able to enjoy our tasting purchases from the local Lovedale wineries and delis (our favourite vineyards were in very close proximity). Also cracked out a dvd for a cosy night in! The sound of nature was awesome .. yes there are mozzys but there’s a mosquito net and just take some repellant if you want to spend time on the deck. The owners (Kristy) were on hand if we needed anything, there was an issue with hot water (for a short period) which was totally out of their control, due to planned works, however Kristy went out her way to provide us with a breakfast voucher for the inconvenience which was super appreciated. All in all 10/10 and we will definitely come and stay here again! I’m sure along with every other customer we just couldn’t quite get used to having no door separating the toilet from the rest of the accommodation .. lucky we are fairly comfortable together but I would be mortified if I was with a new partner 🤣 The design is simply stunning but I think a glass door just to muffle the noise would be a suggestion although I totally get it may ruin the aesthetic of the room.

- Claudia (4/5): Deserted, overpriced and impraticable. Not recommended out of season. - No breakfast. No bottle of wine or fizz as advertised on the site. The place looks nice like a 'Homes and Gardens' spread, very trendy and chic. You basically have to poo in the bedroom as the loo is not separately at all from the bedroom/living room. The place tells you to relax and enjoy nature, yet the noise of the busy road constantly interrupts this. No one was there when we arrived and it took until 15.30pm to get the code to get into our property. The whole place was completely shut down and we ended up at Aldi having to buy a picnic supper. I would definitely not recommend coming here out of season. Looks lovely, but highly impractical and overpriced.

- Ozgun (10/5): Exceptional - The views are truly exceptional. When considering accommodation in the Hunter Valley, this location stands out as unique. We were fully immersed in nature, not merely adjacent to it. Kristy provided outstanding customer service, offering valuable suggestions and resolving any issues promptly. It was a beautiful place and a beautiful experience. Our sincere thanks. We encountered an issue with the air conditioning, but it was promptly resolved the following morning.

Different to regular types of accommodation something out of the square. The styling and linen were also beautiful, we loved the bath with the lighting in the garden outside, this was stunning. Definitely not at all a huge deal but we found the lighting was very dark at night, it was lovely and romantic and we loved that but if reading etc it was a little bit difficult (our lamp bulb went out). It wouldn’t stop us coming back as we overall loved the property. The driveway pot holes which can’t be helped and again not a deal breaker, early morning cafe options would also be handy but others close by cater to this.

- Jerzy (5/5): Most horrible night of our lives. - Nice upon walkin. Nice view The inside couch is useless. Don’t stay unless you want to be eaten alive by various bugs. Mosquito repellents should be provided. Fly screens should be installed. Not worth the money for the most horrible experience at night. Toilet needs a sliding door.

- Larrisha (10/5): Amazing - This place is amazing it’s centrally located and everything is less than a 15 minute drive. The rooms are perfect to relax in and ideal for induging your cheese and wine on the beautiful patio overlooking view.

Rooms were stunning, clean and the view was incredible. Beds were very comfortable, and loved the little touches of books & Movies The only issue was that wi-fi and reception was poor so we weren't able to get in touch with the group we were travelling with as we were there for a wedding. it also made it hard to research places to eat and see close by etc as there was no book there with maps, places to eat things to do as you would normally find at a hotel.

We also had a delicious dinner at the 'Leaves and Fishes' restaurant. The service was amazing and the staff made us feel so welcome. We highly reccomend both the accomodation and the restaurant and we will be back :)
- kimberley (10/5): Absolutely Amazing - 5 Star! - My partner and I had the most amazing weekend away at the Boathouses. There are only 4 private boathouses on the property making for an exclusive stay. Ours was beautifully furnished, with soft linens, comfortable king bed, and luxurious eggcup bath. The bar fridge was a great addition for keeping our wine and cheese cool. The view from the deck across the lake is just stunning and falling asleep each night to the sounds of nature was peaceful and relaxing. We also ate dinner one of the nights at the Leaves & Fishes restaurant and the food and wine was delicious! We were thoroughly impressed with every aspect of our stay and can't rate this property highly enough! Thank you for a wonderful stay!
