Guest Reviews
- Shareen (4/5): - The lady who I’m guessing was the chick running the show was so extremely rude. She got mad at me when we arrived and I asked how to check in? She then just loooed at me when I asked where our room was! Just so unhelpful and awkward. There were 10 adults and 7 kids and we all felt on edge and judged the whole time. We were questioned and basically refused when we asked for fresh towels after 4 days and it had been raining so we were drying ourselves with wet stinky towels. We were lectured upon arrival about being respectful to other guests (?). The kids had a great time running around but unfortunately I woke up from an afternoon nap hearing the lady tell one of the 5 year olds to calm down. KIDS! Running around on the Beach on a holiday!!! At 3pm?
Overall the place is okay for glamping. But from our experience we were treated like idiots and told to clean up the mess that was made whilst cooking? We cleaned up every night and left the place spotless but she chose to tell us in the middle of making home made pizzas.
I will never stay here again. The lady (with short brown hair and an accent) was SO rude and really is the reason why I would never stay here again. There was another blonde lady who we didn’t see often but she was so lovely and gave us towels
- StephfromCoolum (10/5): - We are so stoked that we chose to stay here for our first trip to K’gari - Fraser Island. The Beachcamp Eco Retreat is perfect for families with sparkling clean, functional and modern amenities and plenty of room in the kitchen/dining spaces for all quests at any time. Hana and Mark were fabulous hosts, so helpful and friendly. We stayed in one the basic family bunk rooms which was great for us but I was slightly envious of our friends in the more glam and stylishly set out glamping tents with queen beds. A great vibe all round and K’gari is just out of this world beautiful!
- grant (10/5): GLAMPING IN STYLE - great for families as the entire place can accommodate up to 26 people. They have 3 tents with 3 bunks and 4 with double beds. They all have their own shower and toilet and there are two communal areas with full kitchen and pots and pans and plates etc. The structure in fully waterproof. So would recommend it to first time campers as all the linen and towels are toiletries are included. You only need to bring clothes, beach towel and food. There is 2 fridges so you can even bring frozen goods.
