The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The breakfast is excellent. The staff is professional and lovely, housekeeping is perfect. Pascale (10/5): « Nous avions notre maison en Afrique » - Ne cherchez pas de défaut dans cette maison, il n’y en a pas. Piscine propre, grande, chaude. Jardin luxuriant, très bien entretenu. Garage dans l’enceinte de l’établissement. Calme absolu. Faible distance (en voiture) de Umhlanga Rocks, bons restaurants, jolie promenade de bord de mer. Chambre et lit grands, deco raffinée, petits gâteaux très bons et carafe de porto…..top ! Nous avions une chambre toute blanche donnant sur un patio, Magda nous a proposé, le lendemain de notre arrivée, une chambre plus grande, plus luxueuse que nous avons refusée car nous étions très bien dans la nôtre. Cela vous donne une idée de l’esprit qui règne dans cette maison. Le personnel de service et les 2 dames qui gèrent les lieux sont attentifs à votre confort, mieux encore puisque grâce à eux la maison devient la vôtre le temps de votre séjour. Prendre le temps de regarder les objets, partout, ils ont tous un charme fou. Rien.

Ursula (10/5): - Wir hatten ein Upgrade auf ein sehr schönes großes Zimmer mit einem Bad, dass so groß war, wie sonst schon mal das eigentliche Zimmer. Zum Zimmer gehörte auch noch ein heimeliger Außen Sitzplatz. An jedem Bett stand immer eine Karaffe mit frischem Wasser. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Esther (9/5): Heerlijke plek; we komen graag terug - We hebben genoten van ons verblijf hier. We hadden een eigen appartementje met slaapkamer, badkamer en woonkamer/keuken. Heerlijk ruim en smaakvol ingericht. Dat laatste geldt voor de hele guesthouse. Alles klopt daar. We hebben even naar binnen gekeken in een paar van de andere kamers en allemaal even mooi, ruim en licht. Verder een mooie tuin met heerlijk zwembad. Het strand is twee minuten lopen. Niet echt een gezellig badstrand, maar wel een ruige zee. Leuk om even te kijken en voor een wandeling, niet echt om te gaan liggen. Dan is het zwembad een stuk prettiger. Heerlijk ontbijtje. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk, speciale dank aan Prince die er alles aan deed om ons verblijf aangenaam te maken. We hopen ooit terug te komen bij dit guesthouse. Niets

There was an honesty bar but very limited. Parking inside was tight. Also the owner was not welcoming and didn’t even mention her name despite our introduction. Rattled off the info and rules and only when l asked her name disclosed it. Seemed very conveyer belt. I left my cellphone plug and cord behind and despite an email and subsequent phone call where owner promised to return nothing transpired. We also both got gastroenteritis the day after we left and may have been the Dbn tap water which was placed in the room

The accomodation is clean, in a great location, safe for female solo travellers and has great amenities such as the pool and delicious breakfast (to name a couple). The hosts went the extra mile for my birthday which left me feeling valued. I anticipate returning to enjoy their warm yet exceptional hospitality. Loved everything

Dagmar (10/5): Jederzeit wieder auch für einen längeren Aufenthalt. - Ein sehr liebevoll eingerichtetes Haus. Es hat an nichts gefehlt. Die Lage ist topp. Unweit vom Strand und Umhlanga. Wir hatten praktisch eine Wohnung mit eigenem Garten. Einfach super. Die Besitzerin und das Personal waren sehr zuvorkommend. Gute Essenstipps in benachbarten Trendsetterort. Gar nichts

Courtney (10/5): Loved it again - The home away from home feeling and the rusks! Most delicious rusks ever. Second stay would stay again! Frogs barking at night if staying near the pond side although with Aircon on it blocks it out.
Sarah (9/5): Large, beautiful suite - Lovely suite. Old world charm. Very comfortable. Secure parking. Magda very helpful. Allowed us to leave our bags until we headed for the airport later in the day. Suite also had kitchenette with kettle and fridge too. Bathroom door/shutters didn't close properly and water in shower affected by water being used elsewhere we think. Minor issues though. Would definitely go back

Dolly (10/5): Zeer sfeervol luxe verblijf op uitstekende locatie - De ruime kamer ( nr. 1) prachtig ingerichte acc. Badkamer subliem. Kleine zaken waar we tegenaan liepen werden dírect opgepakt. Prachtige tuin met uitnodigende ligbedden. 70 m. Van het strand. Eigen patio met nr. 2. Kamer nr. 2 vrij kleine kamer en matige badkamer. Maar voldoet. Beetje gehorig door spleet onder deur kamer nr. 1 Weinig ruimte om koffers (s) neer te leggen in kamer 2. Parkeren op het terrein byzonder krap met in en uitrijden
Valerie (8/5): Disappointing - The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. The linen was stained and torn; the towels were so thin that they had holes! The shower tiles were not clean, full of mold, never scrubbed properly. 2 out of 3 light bulbs were not working in the bathroom.... There is evidence of lack of maintenance all around... The rooms are also very dark and there were plenty of toads around, singing all night, making it impossible to sleep! Not a restful experience!

Thomas (9/5): - Localisation en bord de mer, avec la Waterfront avec restaurant accessible à pied (15min). Endroit sécurisé. Logement clean, bon petit déjeuner ! Lit taille Queen pour les chambres de base, douche fuyante. Mais franchement rien de bien grave la logement et l’accueil pro vaut amplement le coup !

Susan (10/5): - I often dread travelling and even the thought of being away from the comforts of my own home, but my stay at Maison H made my work trip more like a holiday! Everything was as nice if not better than my own at home, and I felt relaxed and comfortable in such a beautiful guest house. The breakfast was so delicious and set me up for the day, and the room was well appointed with everything I needed and more. I only wish I could have stayed longer!

David (10/5): Perfect accommodation for anyone coming to the Durban area. - Beautiful house with period decor throughout and lovely gardens. It was an oasis of peace. Lovely breakfasts and friendly, helpful staff on hand at all times. Cheeky monkeys in the trees and the sound of birdsong . Our flight to South Africa was delayed by 15 hours, meaning that we only had one night here instead of two.
