I had just minutes' walk to every tour, duomo, restaurant, shopping. The breakfast was outstanding! Fresh Italian meats, cheeses, and pastries to die for. So well presented and plentiful. There was no need for lunch! And I cannot say enough about Nikos and his exceptional service and hospitality! Not applicable!

He provided excellent advice on sites to see and restaurants. He even parked our car and pulled it out of the tricky parking place inside the property. (I wish we had rented a smaller car) Breakfast was delicious, especially the Pasticciotto Leccese pastry. The property is located right in the middle of the historic old town and it is a short walk to most everything worth seeing. The building is historic, but also well renovated and maintained. We were very comfortable and well accommodated. This is our first stop in Italy on this trip and it has set a very high standard for every other place we will be staying. Given its location in the middle of the old town, there is a bit of street noise from people passing by. Nothing too bad.

Fabulous location and the furnishings are all authentic and beautiful with a modern large bathroom with big walk-in shower. Il nous a donné "les clefs" de la ville pour que nous puissions nous y garer sans inquiétude, accéder aux endroits touristiques incontournables et quelques adresse de restaurant et pizzeria. Il nous a conseillé également sur les meilleurs itinéraires de visite au sud de Lecce. L'appartement est idéalement placé au centre de la ville historique, à quelques dizaines de mètres de la splendide place du Duomo et proche de toutes les beautés du centre historique. • 8f01009063b67324b98ccef1d0b2e2c6 (10/5): Authentisch historisch mitten in der Altstadt von Lecce. Besser geht nicht. - Das Haus ist historisch und dabei super in Schuss. Das Zimmer war riesig. Alles war authentisch alt. Das Bad war dagegen neu und das Frühstück liebevoll zubereitet und sehr reichhaltig. Der Host Nikos alleine verdient schon eine 10. Toller Service. Das einzige, was mir nicht gefallen hat, war, dass ich nicht länger bleiben konnte.

Very convenient to seeing the beautiful city of Lecce and the most famous sites. Nikos was extremely helpful. He made all sorts of recommendations, even marking up a map to help us find the best places in town. He also told us interesting details about the history of the hotel which made the stay even more special. I can’t say enough good things about this hotel! Nothing. It was amazing.

Large amazing looking room, full of original features & lovely breakfast. Occasionally a little noisy in the street outside, but you can't blame this property for that.

From our balcony, we had a great view of the Campanile del Duomo. The central location in Lecce's historical centre is excellent. Breakfast was delicious, with local products and fresh pastries baked by our host, Nikos. Nikos was very friendly and helpful, and gave us great tips for sightseeing and restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend Historical Suites VVM!
• HYOUNG (10/5): 레체에서의 완벽한 휴가. - 완벽한 휴가~!! 숙소 주인 니코는 여행업을 하고있는, 유럽에서 수백번의 숙박을 경험한 제 기준에도 너무 친절하고 섬세한 관리자였습니다. 왠만한 5성급 호텔 매니저보다 훌륭했습니다. 우리는 9인승 벤 차량을 이용하여 숙소에 도착했는데, ZTL 을 등록해주고, 우리가 보행자 거리에서 어려움을 걲을까봐 직접 와서 운전을 도와줄 수 있다는 제안까지 하였습니다. 결국 안전하게 숙소에 도착할 수 있었고, 그 중세 도시 구시가 중심에 위치한 건물 중 거의 유일하게 있을것만 같은 주차장까지 있었습니다. 9인승 벤을 안전하게 주차하였고 우리는 편하게 짐을 내릴 수 있었습니다. 니코는 여섯명인 우리의 무거운 캐리어를 기꺼이 들고 계단으로 옮겨 주었고, 우리는 엘리베이터로 숙소가 있는 1층까지 편하게 올라갈 수 있었습니다. 숙소의 각 객실은 1800년도에 만들어진 객실다운 고풍스러움이 있었고, 너무나도 잘 관리되어 바로크 시대로 들어온 느낌을 받기까지 하였습니다. 하나의 박물관을 연상하게 하는 완벽한 숙소와 객실이었습니다. 저는 니코와 객실, 대성당 바로 옆에 자리한 위치 때문에 이 숙소를 적극 추천합니다. 너무 행복한 시간을 만들어준 니코에게 진심으로 감사하다는 말씀 드립니다. 없습니다.

Nikos was literally the best host we've ever had. He met us at the gate and helped us drive into the property's parking spot. It is the house of a noble family. The breakfast was perfect. We learned a lot about Lecce and the advice for restaurants and sites was spot on. The owner met us at the city gates and escorted us to the property. We parked our car inside the mansion property for a very reasonable price. The furnishings were amazing. We slept on a brass bed from the 1820s--most comfortably. I highly recommend staying at this beautiful manor house. I can't say enough good things about Lecce. Nothing

• christine (10/5): a place of unique memories - The star of the ‘show’ is Nikos, the host , who gave 100 per cent whether it was for the exceptional breakfasts or the fount of information he knew of the region. The house is exceptionally beautiful with furniture and decor to match . We were truly spoilt 😊 Having to go home !!

• Joan (10/5): Wow! - My husband and I have just returned from our stay and our parting comment was 'I would come to Lecce again just to stay here' That says it all really! As the description says, this is an historic building with lots of original features and is certainly a unique place to stay. The bedroom was huge (bathroom modern I'm happy to say) and the bed extremely comfortable. It is right in the centre and as such, can be a little noisy at night but with the windows closed you can't hear a thing. Nikos was the perfect host, he explained everything to us and made many suggestions as to what to see, where to eat and was extremely helpful finding out transport options for us. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful and Nikos even went out of his way to provide our preferred tea! We certainly wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone Absolutely nothing

For example, at breakfast we mentioned we normally drink breakfast tea and next day breakfast tea was available. Breakfast was very tasty with lots of fruits, cheese, ham and fresh baked pastries. Room and building was amazing and location was only a minute away from the cathedral.

• Mary (10/5): What a treat! Thank you for a wonderful experience! - Our stay at Historical Suites VM was like being a guest of an important family in 19th century Lecce. This home is magnificent with all the original furniture, ceiling frescos, and ambiance. We stayed in a room with two balconies overlooking the bustling activity in the heart of the old city of Lecce, within an 8 minute walk to all the major tourist destinations in town. We totally enjoyed this location, day and night. When we closed the windows after our busy days, not a peep was heard from the street, and we were peaceful and cozy, waking up in the morning to angels on the ceiling. In addition to the authentic antique furnishings and decor, we had an ultra modern bathroom with great lighting and shower and plenty of towels. Each morning we gathered in the dining room for a lovely breakfast with an assortment of fresh pastries including the famous specialty “pacciotto,” along with bread, meats, cheese, yogurt, juice and cappuccino served by Nikos, the owner, who chatted with us about life in Lecce and Italy. He also helped us to plan our 3 day stay in Lecce to enjoy the history and wonderful baroque churches and eat at the best restaurants. We had such a great experience, we will be back! Absolutely no complaints!
• Sandra (10/5): The Real Deal - The Real Deal The building in which the B&B is located is right behind the Duomo Bell Tower and couldn't be more central for touring the city. It is an 1800's building and the floor of the B&B has been lovingly restored. All the furniture is antique and original.. except the bathroom, which is all modern.. phew! Nikos, the host, could not be more helpful or friendly. He is fluent in English and on arrival gave us a tour of the building and explained some of the contents. He then suggested a walking tour on a Tourist Map and places of interest, including some restaurants Breakfast is not not as varied as in some hotels, perhaps, but some cold meats, cheeses, and sweet pastries are provided together with juice and as much coffee as you want. The room was cleaned daily. Loved staying in a historic property in such a historic city and with such a nice host. Perhaps bottles of shower gel and shampoo instead of sachets could be provided in the bathroom.
• Sandra (10/5): The hotel was very unique and the overall experience was lovely. - Nikos was a gracious host who made us feel very welcome. It was akin to staying in someone’s charming home rather than a standard hotel/B&B. Since it only has 3 rooms and we had breakfast with the other guests at a dining table, it was enjoyable to chat with fellow travelers. The central location was also nice since the historical center is small, and if one needed to pop back to the room for something, it was very easy to do so. Our room was large, but lacked surface areas to place things such as a purse or toiletries. It would be more functional if some of the seating (a couch and 2 chairs) was removed in favor of a table. Also, breakfast had a bit less variety than we were used to. Perhaps less sweets and more protein options (such as boiled eggs or vegetables). That said, these are minor issues and will likely not matter to most guests.

• Kim (10/5): From the moment we met Nikos we knew we were going to enjoy ourselves.He is a breath of fresh air; upbeat, accommodating - The Palazzo was beautiful! The gorgeous painted ceilings, beautiful antiques and a lovely balcony overlooking the bell tower were just a few of the highlights of our visit to Lecce. There wasn’t anything we didn’t like.

Nikos really went above and beyond, sitting with us for at least half an hour to show us the city map and recommending some wonderful restaurants loved by locals - they were all excellent meals. L'emplacement , tout était à portée de visite et c'est un plus de voir Lecce de nuit. La décoration Un peu bruyant le soir du fait de l'emplacement mais c'était un choix d'être en plein centre...
• Steve (10/5): Historical property in located close to everthing - This historical property in located in the heart of Lecce with the Piazza Duomo just around the corner. The building’s door opens directly into the center close to restaurants, shops and historic sites. Nikos, who runs the place, greeted us warmly. He makes sure you get to do and see everything you’d like. The palazzo is old-fashioned with high fresco painted ceilings and original décor. Furniture and many decorative elements dating back to the original owners, so are the towels I think. Naturally, being right in the center of town, it can get noisy at night
• Susann (10/5): Stay here for sure if visiting Lecce. Perfect place to soak up some history while being well looked after by an attentiv - Our host Nikos met us with our hire car just out of the old town so he could drive us to the accommodation safely. The apartment building was amazing. Very old and ornate, with original antique furniture, brimming with generational history including bookshelves lined with old law books. Our room was immaculate, spacious, clean and comfortable and we felt we were living in a time warp. The bathroom was modern. The accommodation is perfectly located, close to all the historical sites, and shopping and restaurants . Everything was great.
• Natalia (10/5): - Amazing historical B&B, in the heart of Lecce historic center. Very comfortable bed. Nice big bathroom. We had a mini refrigerator with water supplied by the host, very appropriated. We loved sitting on our balcony sipping wine watching people in the evening Our host was great. He helped us park our car and gave lots of info about the town and beyond. We did not need the car during our stay in Lecce. We recommend whole heartedly!
• Pascale (9/5): - The location was perfect and the host a very helpful and knowledgeable gentleman. He guided us through some of the most interesting places to visit…and we visited them all! The property is an old palazzo with lots of character. Staying there is like going back to a bygone age in history . We will definitely stay there again. Lecce is an amazing city, but I recommend leaving the main tourist streets and just follow your nose down the little streets and alleys. There is so much to see and experience.

• Doug (10/5): Fabulous stay with the best host ever! - We loved the whole experience, including waking up to the angels frescoed on the ceiling. Property was immaculately maintained and restored with so many original features, like staying in a museum(in a good way)! Location was very central, breakfast was delicious and what made our stay even better was the host Niko. He helped us plan our transport from Lecce and beyond, checking on buses, trains and taxis for us. Niko was always available to help with anything we needed and truly made us feel like family. Nothing, everything was wonderful.

• Ryan (10/5): perfect hotel experience in authentic Baroque suite - this was such a fun hotel experience in a authentic baroque setting. Nikos managed the property and our stay perfectly. He provided information for activities in the area and met our every need. The rooms were clean and spacious. We loved all the large mirrors everywhere. And it is in a perfect location. we would stay here again without question. Nikos is a true gem. nothing. It was perfect.

Ο χώρος που μας φιλοξένησε ισορροπεί άψογα ανάμεσα στο παρελθόν και το σήμερα, καθώς είναι επιμελημένος με σεβασμό στην ιστορικότητά του, ενώ παράλληλα προσφέρει και όλες τις σύγχρονες ανέσεις. Ο Νίκος, ο ιδιοκτήτης, μας υποδέχτηκε εγκάρδια, μας προσέφερε καθημερινά ένα πλούσιο πρωινό και ήταν πολύ βοηθητικός σε ό,τι και αν χρειαστήκαμε κατά τη διάρκεια της διαμονής μας. Το προτείνουμε ανεπιφύλακτα.

• Koen (10/5): Fantastic place on the best location in Lecce - Fantastic accommodation and location, in the middle of lively Lecce. Roomy appartement in original 1800 state, a true classic. Nikos pulled everything to make it the best B&B experience for us so far. He picked us up outside the old city and drove our car into the garage below the B&B (only 3 rooms, so very personal). Good advice on do's and don'ts, Nikos knows his stuff. Even showed up for check out at 6.20 as we had an early flight! Thanks Nikos, you are a star! Nothing

• Martin (10/5): Superb - Beautiful 19th century (or earlier?) house with mostly original features and furniture but with modern bathroom facilities. The property could not be more central, being in the shadow of the bell tower and a 1 minute stroll to the Duomo. Nikos, the host, could not have been more helpful, meeting us outside on arrival, showing us around the property, explaining everything, advising us what to see and where to eat and being genuinely interested in his guests and making sure all was OK Highly recommended for anyone visiting the beautiful city of Lecce. n/a

De dag voor onze aankomst stuurde hij al een bericht via Whatsapp met een voorstel van de parking die zich op 5 minuten stappen van de B&B bevond. Toen we aankwamen stond Mikos ons al op te wachten. Het onthaal was perfect, Mikos nam alle tijd om ons naar onze kamer te begeleiden en om ons uitleg te geven over het pand en ons wegwijs te maken in Lecce op zowel cultureel als gastronomisch vlak. De kamer was ruim en mooi ingericht. Het ontbijt was OK; ook hier gaf Mikos uitleg bij wat hij voorschotelde aan typische lokale producten. Bedankt aan Mikos voor dit aangename verblijf.

• Dr. Werner (10/5): Eine fasziniert schöne Unterkunft, wie zu Hause bei Freunden - Der Aufenthalt in dem historischen Haus von etwa 1800 mit den vielen wunderbar bemalten Zimmerdecken und dem originalen Interieur war einfach nur fabelhaft. Obwohl wir eine ganze Woche dort wohnten, fiel es uns sehr schwer, wieder nach Hause aufzubrechen. Unser sehr verehrter und liebenswerter Gastgeber Nicos half uns von der ersten Stunde an sehr zuvorkommend. In allen Fragen und sprachlichen Problemen fand er schnell Lösungen. Außerdem gab er uns wertvollen Tipps, welche Strände in der Umgebung wie Gallipoli besonders reizend sind, welche Städte wie Ostuni sehenswert sind und welche einmaligen Ort und insbesondere Kirchen in Lecce nicht ungesehen bleiben dürfen. Eine außerordentlich schöne Woche, die wir nicht vergessen werden und uns animiert, auf alle Fälle noch einmal dorthin zu reisen. Da gibt es nichts auszusetzen!

Die einzigartige historische Ausstattung der Unterkunft ist auf den vielen Fotos ersichtlich. Was uns jedoch am meisten beeindruckt hat, war Nikos, der Besitzer der Unterkunft. Mit seiner ausgesprochen freundlichen Art erklärte er uns alles, was wir für unseren Aufenthalt in seiner wunderschönen Stadt Lecce wissen sollten, und machte Lust auf die vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Besonders freuten wir uns über das gute Frühstück, das von ihm persönlich begleitet wurde. Stets war er für gute Tipps und nette Gespräche da. Danke, Nikos, wir kommen wieder!

Nicos is a really great person who gave fantastic dinner suggestions and excellent customer service. We were able to arrange a tour from Nicos assistance that is probably one of the best ones we’ve ever had Location is right in the middle of everything in the historic center!
