Guest Reviews
- Brittny (10/5): - Peaceful stay.
- Marco (10/5): - Nice place and good food and people
- Daniel (4/5): - I do hate to give negative reviews but I'll try to be objective. It was a basic room; only one trash can in the bathroom, cigarette burns on the bed cover, lots of dust and bottle caps and stuff under the beds. Other than that fairly clean. The AC system is very effective but LOUD. I mean like sleeping next to a diesel truck with the motor running. We travel with earplugs so even though I could hear it, I slept fairly well the first night. The wife, not so lucky. Even with her special earplugs she got very little sleep. Considering the hotel is next to a gas station, I10 is close by and the road by the hotel is traveled by the people from the small towns around to access I10, it was fairly quiet, the first night. You check in at a restaurant and the staff there is very friendly, however, they do everything by hand so its slower than most places. Big omen. The second day we worked long and hard and were exhausted. Woke up around 4 and the AC did keep me up. Then around 6, I think there were heavy trucks in the parking lot, very noisy. Finally went to sleep but at 730 woke up to very loud knocks at the door. The cleaning lady accused us of not having paid for the second night. I told her we had. She demanded to see our receipt so she could take a picture and send it to her boss lady. Again she said we had only paid for one night. When I produced the receipt, she said, oh you paid on line? I said yes, PREPAID! So she took the picture, apologized and left. We won't stay here again
- Dominic (8/5): Solid Room! - Small hotel. Check in is in the restaurant on-site. Bed was a little stiff but definitely worth the price. Appreciated the stay
- Marco (10/5): - Very comfortable and quiet atmosphere restaurant awesome food, and great service
- Anthony (10/5): - The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They are located in a great area with plenty of access to purchase necessities for if you're staying for awhile.
- carlos (10/5): - Excellent stay
- herman (6/5): - it was ok but needs to update
- David (4/5): - No room service or attempt to clean room. Check in staff great but housekeeping poor. This is more of a boarding house
- carlos (10/5): - Great place to stay for weekend great mexican restaurant next door. PERFECT PLACE
- Michael (10/5): - Great motel, recommended
- Rosa (8/5): - It was a good comfortable stay
- Dario (10/5): - 👍
- Michael (10/5): - .
- Ramiro (10/5): - Everything
- Denise (10/5): - It was quite
- Miguel (8/5): - Quiet and discreet
- Mary (10/5): - Convenient off freeway .
Might put out hand towels to dry hands .
- Deborah (10/5): - The folks at the motel were very hospitable and helpful. The food and service at the restaurant was outstanding, delicious and an excellent value for your money and the portions were large. Jenny was very attentive, friendly and easy to talk to.
- Jeff (10/5): - I've stayed in a lot of places with higher rates, but none have been so clean. It is obviously an older property, but it is well maintained.
There was a mix up about my reservation (not sure if it was Expedia or the staff), but the staff bent over backward to straighten it out while I had a much-needed meal at their restaurant. They have great food with friendly service and low prices.
If I had to say anything negative about my stay, it's that I wish the water pressure in the shower was as high as mine at home.
All-in-all, my stay was a very good experience, and I will definitely be staying there again anytime I'm in the area.
- Rosa (8/5): - This is a very comfortable place to stay.
- LUIS (8/5): - Excellent location, clean, good rate and the food is good at the restaurant
- Steven (8/5): - The "office" is in the neighboring restaurant at a designated counter. I had to ask where it was because there are no directions outside on the property.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Older motel next to good Mexican restaurant - Inexpensive older motel next to good Mexican food restaurant and bar. Owner was nice. Room was pretty clean. Bed was comfortable and clean. A.c./heater's buttons were broke and we couldn't change temp.
- Keeonna (2/5): - I stayed in room 109. This toom has bed bugs. I didnt even complete my stayed after being work up because I was being ate by bugs. I left around 5am even though i didnt check in til almost 11pm. Was not worth it. Please do not stay here.
- Shad (8/5): Convenient and quiet - I was pleasantly surprised to find the checkin located inside a Mexican restaurant,
The food was great, and the restaurant manager is very helpful.
I would suggest playing Mexican music rather than the modern pop music, but hey, what do I know!
- Juan R. (10/5): - Good
- Nathan (4/5): - I do a lot of traveling for work. This is my second time staying here. Will not be back. Never got clean towels. No hot water. Bed bugs.
- Clayton (2/5): - No refrigerator no hot water no tv for 2 days
- Walid (2/5): - I was forced to check in so late (5 AM) as I had to start 5-hr driving late (after 11 PM) due to flash flood and I called the motel at 6 PM to inform them that and they said ok. I arrived at 5:30 AM and found no office and learned from a nearby store that the reception staff stays in nearby restaurant which was closed at that time and no one was there. I called the motel and got no answers so I was about to leave but two cleaning staffs showed up at 6 AM and one girl helped me to check in by making phone calls. That was a terrible experience!!!!!!
- Henry (10/5): - Great place to relax
- Verified traveler (4/5): Bad customer service. - There was no lobby or service desk. Just a boarded-up building where people would come in and out. I had to wait outside in the heat to check in!
- Sylvia (6/5): - It was okay can I confusing to give rent my room out somebody when I was already checked in there they walked right in on me they have a key and everything
- Juan Cruz de la (10/5): - Very affordable place to spend the night during a road trip. Right next to the I10, a restaurant and a big gas station.
- Ramiro (10/5): - Silence
- James (8/5): - Unusual to check in at a restaurant
- Cynthia (2/5): Extremely Disappointing - Waited hours on the property hoping I could check in after a long drive and was never able to even get inside the room. This was having already have charged my cc. Phone number to hotel listed is out of service and the other number listed was never picked up.
- TexaxGranny (6/5): a little scary but manageable - PSA: the office is not at the motel. It's at the diner next door. It took us awhile to figure that out. We called the number on the billboard and it was an answering service with no idea where the office was. There's no sign as to where it is and the sign on the building by room 101 says office so we knocked on that door. ( empty).we were leaving and I had to pee so we went next door and low and behold it's where the office is. They need to put a sign out saying that. The motel is old, really old and it is like the motels of our youth. We were tired so we stayed. The bed had blood on the sheets so I put my own sheets on and sprayed the thing with Lysol. I would not have stayed if I wasn't so tired. It's not a clean place but it's a place to sleep. wont be back. Too old and dirty to take a shower.
- Nicole (10/5): - Everything was great
- Sherry (10/5): - Truly beyond expectation.
- Jeffery (8/5): Happy and refreashed - Its was mostly what i expected, when traveling dont need fancy, just a safe comfortable Bed. IT Was that....
Had a small problem but shared it with the staff at check out, I felt they qhere truely concerned and will correct the problem for there future guests
- Petra (8/5): Friendly could use some TLC - Everyone is really friendly, great restaurant. Rooms could use some TLC. issues with AC and TVs had to move rooms.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Wifi very weak ,no office have to check in the restaurant ,had a hard time finding the reservation , got checked in to one room wasn't clean had to wait for another room and this was two hours after their check in time .it's a motel wasn't expecting too much.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - .
- Verified traveler (10/5): - friendly place close to restaurant
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This is an economic Motel, front desk is inside Mamitas Bar
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Trush place
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was quiet for the most part of my stay. The staff will leave your room untouched if you ask them to do so. The dislikes, there's no hot water. Showers in the mornings were cold. No coffee maker in the room. No wifi. But all in all, it's good for the price. It was very clean.
- Esther (10/5): Happy - It was very comfortable, quiet, loved the customer service. Very clean, peaceful.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Hot water to shower with was not working, often time
- Verified traveler (2/5): Super Upset - Couldn’t check in because clerks leave at 5 and that wasn’t written anywhere for me to know that. I drove 12 hours and had no where to stay for the night.
- LOUIS (8/5): - Tired of driving pulled in...older style motel..a/c worked great...comfortable bed
- Verified traveler (4/5): - I did not like the fact that you have to check in from outside in the middle of the night where it is scary. I had to ask around where the office was because there was no sign. It is also a restaurant. Then on my second night there, they were banging on my door saying that i had not paid for my room. He was screaming for us to get out. This was after midnight. Totally scared us. I had to show the receipt from check in and my bank showing i had paid through Expedia and the amount pending. The gentleman apologized afterwards, but it should never have happened. I will never stay there again. I had to change rooms because my room was next to a group of kids that were there just to party. I traveled a long way and was really tired and did not want to have to listen to kids partying all night. So the only other room wS a smoking room which i did not enjoy at all.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The air conditioner in our room was not working! It’s sucks because the days are hot and to have to stay in hot room was ridiculous! My mom also noticed a trail of ants in the bathroom! DISGUSTING...we’ve stayed here many times and have never been this disappointed!!!
- Lensey (2/5): Never again - We had no hot water, called office was told 6 times maintenance was on the way whom never showed so we had to take cold showers. Not to mention it took 3 trips to the office to get the room key to work at check in
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great Mexican restaurant right in the parking lot. Very nice and honest staff.
- Leslie j (4/5): - No está limpio el cuarto ni agua avĂa
- Verified traveler (2/5): - You have to check in at the restaurant/bar on site. There are no signs stating this you just have to be lucky enough to figure it out. There was a tv in the room but it didn’t work. No soap or shampoos. Barley enough towels for 2!!! Broken furniture. And every thing here took FOREVER! I will NOT be staying here again! Waste of money and time
- Jesus (10/5): Comfort but loud! - For those who check in and never have. Be sure to go to the restaurant at the bar! Does not say anywhere and I had to ask the housekeepers. But other than that it was all good except you hear everything outside and the guest staying where just loud leaving and coming as well driving off loud. If that’s something you don’t mind then go ahead and stay but if you’re looking for a goodnight rest then don’t unless you have ear plugs
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Nothing, staff and place was in very bad conditions.
- Christopher (2/5): Worst place - It was the worst place ever. I could not even check in because the office wasnt accessible. I would tell everyone to never make a booking at this establishment. Seemed like it made for prostitution.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Was not what we expected no ammenities what so ever
- mark (8/5): - we asked for queen size ed, got a double bed instead
- JuanaMariaNicho (4/5): - Nothing, very dirty place, fridge did not work, looks like bedding does not get watch very often carpet looks very very old, dirty bad smell of, toilet did. Not work as well,
- Russell (6/5): Smelly rooms - Pulled in parking lot and read sign, "Motel Office at ExpressGas." Walked 30 yards in cold to find it. Got key and walked 30 yards back to car, then drove to front of room 110. Room stunk badly. Walked 60 yards back in cold and said, "We asked for non-smoking room." They graciously gave me a key to 111. Walked 60 yards back in the cold and unlocked 111. An old man smoking a cigarette was startled and wanted to know why I was coming into his room. I apologized and walked 60 yards back in the cold and explained the situation. They graciously gave me a key to room 121. Drove another 30 yards to park in front of room. Key didn't work. Walked 90 yards in the cold back to office. They re-programmed the key and sent someone with me. Finally got in.Room smelled like smoke, too, only not as bad as previous rooms.
- ROMEO (4/5): Definitely not the best. - No security locks on the door, had to prop a chair against the handle. Bathroom door jamb latch is missing. The remote control for the TV was unavailable. In order to turn it on/off, it had to be un/plugged. I should've gone to the Best Western next door. Dirty sheets and broken a/c controls.
- Edgar (2/5): Horrible experience - It was horrible. Had smell of smoke. Big stains in carpet of who knows what.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Horrible place to stay. They wanted to overcharge me on a room that I have already reserved on top of that they gave me a room with other people belongings still in there. Had to wait a good 15 minutes for them to correct their own mistake.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The door locks went out and had us locked out for half the day. We used ours, maintenance, and the master key card and none of them worked. The bed was broken and everything smelled like smoke.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The carpet, these wall, the sink, the toilet, the bath, and bath floor and wall....was old and dirt . and when i found dirt on the blanket i was desapoint as well.
Not for me.no...
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I didnt like that they disnt even find my reservation and also i wss calling to change ny date and they wouldnt answer me not even the agent
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Room filled with flies and a toilet that had issues flushing.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Bad, customer service and no respect the travelers
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I have never seen a dirtier place in my life.
The bathroom and commode have not been cleaned in months.
The staff was very very rude.
And there is no housekeeping.
So you have to sleep on the same unmade bed that you left in the morning and have to use the same wet towels that you use over and over again.
- Rebeccah (4/5): - no wifi, no toilet paper holder, no ice.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Worst Hotel/Motel Stay Ever - This was one of the worst experiences at a hotel/motel in my life. Go check out yelp reviews or anything about this motel and you will understand why. I can't believe these businesses are allowed to operate in America.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Just didn’t feel very safe at this location with all the broken windows. My room had a garbage bag with tape to cover a hole as big as a basketball.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The hotel was ok, nothing special. It. Was a big room and it was clean, it had what we needed for one night. Very old tv with nothing on. Hotel could do with updating. Bed was comfortable.
- Majedarafat (6/5): - They should have cleaned the room before they check in guest. Other than that I am good with the stay.
- Tim (6/5): - Everything was fine overall. Nothing bad. Just a standard hotel.
- Julie (2/5): Terrible motel. AVOID - in dead of winter heater did not work. plumbing was not adjustable, either scalding (got burned) or freezing cold water. most lights also did not work, even after we plugged it in. very old and dingy, checkin was at a gas station, and they could not find reservation.
