- Yasunobu (2/5): - 3階の部屋に宿泊したが、部屋がカビ臭く、誇りっぽいし、畳に髪の毛も何本かおちていた。息子が何かに反応して、腕が痒くなり蕁麻疹が出てしまい夜中痒くて眠れなかった。エレベーターの中も、下水のような匂いがして臭くて気分が悪かった。卓球場に行ったが、エレベーター降りてすぐあまりの臭さに吐き気がした。エントランスから臭かった。

- Verified traveler (8/5): Pleasant traditional experience - The room was a little outdated but the onsen was great! The outdoor 露天風呂was amazing, you can hear the sound of the waves and feel the sea breeze. Breakfast was delicious.
- Liuelai (8/5): Love the Akane room - More than 3 hour drive from tokyo. Right next to sea front. Superb sea views. We booked the Akane room for two nights. We loved the room. Huge with 4 beds. 2 toilets. In room hotspring in balcony. We like the tranquility and ambience. Very good service. Food and drinks available most of the time in the lounge. Buffet breakfast and kaiseki dinner included. Food quite good. But restaurant quite big and many people walking around you which disturbed the atmosphere we were expecting. Nevertheless it was not a big deal to us. We came here for hot springs. Except the one in room, there is only one in door and one outdoor hot spring. Hotel did not swap the male with female one like some other hotels do. Nice walking around hotel.

- John (10/5): - This hotel is located right on the water and we loved the ocean views, and (when we opened the window) the sound of the waves breaking. Very peaceful and beautiful. The onsen baths were large and pleasantly hot, with water that was clear and gave a nice feeling.
- masaaki (10/5): コロナ禍、3年ぶりの旅行 - 以前からいちど行きたいと思っていた旅館です。少し距離はありましたが、ドライブがてら行ってきました。外観も内装も良く、特に和室の内装は良い材料が使われ、クロス畳等改修もされており良いと思います。。お風呂は大浴場で清潔で、露天風呂サウナもあり、お湯も美肌湯快適でした。食事は先付けともどもおいしかったですが、1番メインの金目鯛の煮付けがサイズが小さい事も有り脂も乗っておらず残念でした。次は松崎ニュー銀水へ行こうと思います。

- tokyo2whiterock (10/5): Weekend Getaway - About a two hour train ride away from Tokyo station, a fantastic Japanese inn with hot spring. Our room had a hot spring in our room which was great. Definitely recommend this place to get away from the city and just relax. The food was great as was the service.
- danielyong (8/5): Luxurious and attentive - Pretty much live up to its Top 3 ryokan ranking. Not much activity in ryokan at night as compared to Kagawa, Kahou and Yahataya. But the attention and service it offers is impeccable. Hardly noticing many people because of its luxurious space. Go in the afternoon to enjoy the sea view while sipping their tea. I expected a more luxurious meal considering the $ paid for it. On another note, there are many other good ryokans around if you do not want to splurge.
- SandBTokyo (10/5): Two Thumbs Up! - This is a very beautiful hotel, big and spacious, clean and really nicely decorated. This hotel felt like brand new to us, some really great care, maintenance and renovation work. The theme is Japanese. Our room was nice tatami style with an ocean view. We had a wonderful dinner and breakfast in the dining room. The service was fantastic as was the food. Breakfast was a buffet. The onsen was nice, clean and big, even though crowded. All is all this is a wonderful place to stop and relax, really good value.

- asianchef (10/5): Totally Relaxed - We drove for almost 3 hours in the rain from Tokyo along the bay to this hotel. Once we reach the hotel, the rain subsided and we could clearly see the view. We checked in into our Executive Suite Aoi room and knew that our dinner, as well as breakfast, would be served in the room. We felt relaxed and relieved that we could avoid the crowd in the lobby and restaurant. From room, we could hear the sound of roaring ocean and chirping birds. The open-air onsen was superb, and prompted us to savor our luxury dinner. It was one of the best meals, in both quality and quantity, served in my ryokan experience. Our female 'butler' spoke fluent English and she gave us lots of information about places in Shizuoka area. Too bad that we stayed here for just one night, but we promise to ourselves that we would surely come again.
- Notcreativeenough (8/5): Service Oriented Izu Hotel - Friendly staff make us feel welcomed and well taken care of. We booked two rooms for 5 persons. They gave us one large and one small room, side by side. We stayed for one night. The caretaker was an English speaking Japanese lady who had attended to all our needs from serving meals, setting futon (Japanese style bed), and carrying our luggages. The kaiseki course meal (with live abalone) was both tasty and visually beautiful. Its onsen offers a panoramic sea view so that you can treat yourself 24 hours a day. We drove from Tokyo to Izu for about 4 hours, including visiting a few rest stops (service areas). The hotel provides valet parking and clean up our car before returning to us. The only down side is weak wifi signal and a bit old in terms of facilities.
- B7895THgaryh (10/5): Royal Suite stay - If you plan on staying at this hotel, I would recommend staying in the Royal Suite because having your own ofuro (onsen) on your balcony overlooking the ocean is the way to go. You won't have to deal with going to the 2nd floor to take a bath with all the other guests, you can relax in your own bath while drinking one of the 9 beers that the room fridge is stocked with. The lady that prepared our room and food (breakfast and dinner) was more than professional and she had the Japanese customer service that the Japanese are well known for, not like in the states where customer service comes last. This place is for adults and I wouldn't recommend it if you have children, although this location has actives for them.
- HasudaPete (8/5): Company annual team building trip - Lovely hotel, traditional Japanese rooms, meals and service. The Onsen is large and very good with an indoor/outdoor area. The outdoor area overlooks the ocean and is very pleasant. The meals were banquet style for our group in our own function room. The food, room and service were all exceptional. There was a family in our group with a 3month old and 2 year old. The staff were very helpful and had cribs, high chairs, meals etc available. While the hotel is well designed, maintained, staff excellent and this made for a great stay. There is a small resort style pool and a kids paddling pool. A games centre, shop, and vending machines. A massage service is available. On the afternoon of our stay a few of us went for a 2 hour walk around the area, no map or knowledge of the area, was very pleasant and lots of small shrines to pop into, fishermen to watch and a great lunch of Niku Chahan - which seems to be a local speciality.
