• Rhys (10/5): Stellar spot to rest after your hike - I was given a pleasant introductory tour on my arrival. There are lots of snacks and drinks (including beer!) available in the kitchen for a small fee, and free rice porridge is available in the morning. There are SEVERAL delightful on-site onsens that are completely free to use, and although the more famous ones nearby are amazing you should absolutely still take the time to use the ones on-site as well. As long as you're comfortable with hostel dorms this place will serve you perfectly well. The storage room for luggage is right next to one of the onsens so just be wary of the sulphur smell! They give you a discount voucher to use at a restaurant in Yunomine, though I was less impressed with the food at that location.

• Allan (8/5): - The place is a couple of minutes away from the main part of the town and feels more private. The private onsen they offered at the property is a great bonus, especially after a long day of hiking the Kumano Kodo. Even though I stayed in the Mixed Dormitory Room, it was comfortable, and the people were very respectful of their own space. They also provide a discount to a nearby restaurant. None.

• Livia (10/5): 10/10 would come again - We loved it at J-Hoppers Guesthouse. Very easy to get to, on site Onsen were great, very friendly and helpful staff. I loved the common area. It had a very cozy vibe. They also served simple breakfast (rice pudding) and coffee in the morning. Rooms were clean and comfortable. There was also a nice seating area in our room. -

We took the advice of the staff to eat at a near by resturant which was so good as we hadnt come across lots of fresh veggies on our travels. Towels provided for onsen not very absorbent.

Yunomine Onsen è un posto incredibile... Un plus sono i tre Onsen gratuiti con acqua termale purissima a disposizione in uso esclusivo per 30 minuti, due vasche al coperto e una all' aperto. Al mattino una piccola colazione con porrdige di riso viene offerta gratuitamente. Consigliato

• Léa (8/5): Really nice !! - The leaving room and kitchen are amazing. The dormitory is really good and quiet. The 3 onsen are amazing. There was a porridge for breakfast until 9am. I put my alarm at 8:30 to get some and when I arrived it was completely empty so I didn’t have breakfast :’(

El hostel muy limpio y cómodo, cuenta con cocina y servicio de lavandería por aprox 400 yenes para lavado y secado. Recomiendo mucho quedarse en Yunomine y en este hostel 😊👌🏾 Todo bien!

• Yaping (8/5): 附近沒有什麼商店可以購物, 比較遠的雜貨店下午六點就關門，最好是在前一個城市就要買好要自己煮的東西或是早餐。 青年旅館的員工很熱心早上六點準備了一鍋白飯給大家當早餐，結果6:30就被幾個香港人 - 員工很熱情解說，設備也很多，可以洗衣服烘衣服很棒，又有溫泉可以泡，離壺湯很近。 雖然訂房時有說沒有早餐，但是員工還是熱情的準備了白飯跟稀飯給大家當早餐。 附近完全沒有什麼商店可以購物(比較遠的雜貨店下午六點就關了)，所以最好是在前一個城市就要買好要自己煮的東西或是早餐。 青年旅館的員工很熱心早上六點準備了一鍋白飯給大家當早餐，結果6:30就被幾個香港人全部打包飯糰帶走，害的後面的人都沒有早餐吃。
• Stefan (8/5): Great onsen, beds could be better. - Outside onsen was fantastic, hosts were great, facilities were good, had a somewhat hidden laundry on the balcony. Great value for money. The wooden pod style is claustrophobic and lets very little air in. Also the mattresses were very thin, hard and short for anyone tall, found it hard to get any meaningful sleep.

• Živa (8/5): Super lokacija, poleg traila Kumano Kodo - Lokacija ima 3 onsene, ki ga koristiš privat, kar je odlično, sploh ko se vrneš iz hikea. Osebje je zelo prijazno. Spala sva v sobi z večimi osebami, vendar ima vsak dovolj prostora za privatnost. Edino kar me je zmotilo je bil vonj v sobi, večina je pohodnikov, kar pomeni da so oblačila precej prešvicana in potem je teh vonjav kar precej v sobi. Morda bi boljše zračenje pomagalo.

• Tan (9/5): - Well organised place. There is a kitchen for you to cook. Dining room for social but need to slow down your voice after 8pm. They prepare simple breakfast. I enjoy the Onsen. Only the Onsen are too small.

Facilities were clean and the private onsen was great! The footwear provided for inside was big size only and dangerous for people with small feet especially on the stairs.
