- Reservations are required for private bath/onsen. Reservations can be made by contacting the ryokan prior to arrival, using the contact information on the booking confirmation.
- The Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare requires all international visitors to submit their passport number and nationality when registering at any lodging facility (inns, hotels, motels, etc. ). Additionally, lodging proprietors are required to photocopy passports for all registering guests and keep the photocopy on file.

- S (10/5): Traditional Japanese hotel - We chose this hotel as we wanted a more traditional experience and we were very happy with the choice. The reception staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. We had a standard Japanese room and the futons were very comfortable. Both the sleeping room with its tatami flooring and the alcove for sipping tea were spacious. The day was overcast but the room was still bright and light. The location is great, with good views of the hills and very quiet. We opted for a short walk from and to the station although a complimentary taxi is an option. The public bath for women was well appointed with two indoor baths and one lovely outdoor one with rocks doubling as seats. We also booked the private wooden tub bath and it was equally good.

- Ling (9/5): It’s a very lovely hotel with private onsen you can enjoy for free. Very recommended hotel. - very clean room. very thoughtful services. like the gift socks and towels provided by hotel. staffs are very nice and willing to help. hotel is beside a very beautiful stream and a walking path. Communication with staffs would be more easier if their english were better. The only thing bothered me was that they don’t have curtains in room, the window roller shade is not big enough. Bright light comes into the room at about 4:30 in the early morning.

They also helped guide us into the car park and answered any questions we had with a smile. Our view of the cherry blossoms was also amazing. We especially loved the private couples onsen. Would stay here again :)

It rained quite a bit and they were attentive in ensuring we had umbrellas to get around. Ito Yukitei also wasn't swamped with tourists when we were there. :) Onsen was not crowded too. Our room's window faced the morning sun, and when we stayed, the sun rose at 5+am. Whilst the room had awesome blackout blinds, sunlight did get in through the gaps and we woke up a little earlier than we wanted to every day. Not a major deal breaker though. :)

Please note that all rooms are smoking rooms. The smell was not very strong and didn't bother us too much. The smell of smoke in the room took away some of the luxury feeling. Could you make a few non-smoking rooms?

- Juliet (10/5): Great spa day/night in between busier legs of trip - Beautiful retreat for one night between our busier legs of the trip. The public onsen was so nice. The room was silent with good AC and very calming. The hotel called to make a reservation at a local resturaunt a few blocks away with some of the best sashimi we’ve had on the trip. We reserved one of the private outdoor baths at night and it was magical. In the morning, they called a taxi for us free of charge back to the train station. Highly if you’re looking for a 1 night spa recovery!

- curbarn (6/5): good but not great - i guess i was spoiled by other ryokans further into Izu. the hotel presents itself as modern minimalist. the food was very good but not great, rooms were clean and comfortable. there are much better options close by for about the same price 54000 yen.
