- Anthony (8/5): pleasant - The staff is kind and knowledgable and go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable, with recommendations as well.Location was ideal close to Realto bridge and close to water station. only negative is there is no elevator and you have to hall language through the stairs to room level you are staying
- Larry (6/5): - Decent and comfortable hotel, but be aware there is no elevator and all rooms are on 3rd floor (4 flight of stairs). Lugging the bags up and down and climbing the stairs after walking all over Venice was no fun. Front desk staff were friendly but did not offer to help with bags (no bell hop service). In addition old fashioned keys were a pain to open all doors.
- Rhian (10/5): - Couldn’t fault it! Room was immaculate, staff were so helpful and welcoming, breakfast was lovely, and the location is great. Music from a bar outside was loud on Friday night but it stopped at 11pm so didn’t really affect our night’s sleep. We had a twin room and the beds were very comfy

- Rafael (8/5): - This hotel was established in the 1200s. Its quite old obviously, the entrance is not what you'd expect from a hotel but for us it was perfect. It is a ways from the train station, however I later found out you can get to it by water taxi easily for 9.5 euros. It is very close to the Rialto Bridge. Our room was an upgraded room that was only 1 floor up from the reception, thank God. A very nice room with a king bed and a private bathroom. It was not inexpensive, but well worth it. Other rooms were 3 - 4 flights up and there is no elevator. So pack light!

The room is clean and beds are comfortable, they clean and replace our towels every stay. We even had free bottled waters and are replaced everyday. Thank you so much for making our stay comfortable.

- Kimberly (10/5): - When we arrived on the train we decided to walk instead of taking the water bus. It was about a 22 min walk having to carry luggage up and down various small bridges and through narrow streets. My daughter and I are in shape so it wasn’t too bad. The hotel was walkable to popular sites. We used gps to navigate. We were close to Rialto Bridge and also not far from St.Marks Square. The room was spacious and the hotel was safe. Be careful in the shower. The shower head was pointed right at the shower door and my daughter got the floor soaking wet. I found a way to turn it do that didn’t happen again. Breakfast was ok. Nothing fancy but that was fine with us. There were eggs, chewy bacon, cereal, breads, and a little fruit. Don’t expect a full American style breakfast. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Everyhing was operating correctly - lights, bathroom. Only minor issue was thin walls. Our room was off the lobby so there was some noise.

- John (8/5): - After walking from the train station with 2 50lb bags and finding no elevator or lift I thought this was a bad decision to book this hotel. But after getting settled I realized that it was a great decision. Staff are awesome and helpful rooms are clean and comfortable. Wifi is easy to setup, lots of dining options within 5 minutes and the further you walk the more you have. Lots of shopping and gondola ride right there. The bad, no elevator, no tv in room, no syrup for the waffles, scrambled eggs were pasty, made from powder?

The front desk always has someone available. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. They put on a complimentary breakfast which was excellent. I felt like family while I was there. And I love the Pug (the owner's pet). Stay here, you won't regret it.
- Helena (8/5): - We stayed at Hotel Guerrato for three nights last month. Location is great - next to the Rialto market, with fresh fruit stalls right at the door. Walking distance to all main attractions. Breakfast was the best we got in Italy (we went through ten cities): full buffet, eggs, bacon, fruit salad, a la carte hot drinks, etc. Our quadruple room was massive and decorated in Venetian style. The extra beds were simply pullout chairs - but even then, more convenient than we got in other hotels. Definitely not cheap, but I had no regrets choosing this place: solid positive experience.

Our favorite part of our experience was the friendly and helpful staff! Other highlights were location, location, location. It is very close to the Rialto Bridge and the canal public transportation. This maximized our time in this beautiful city. Thank you so much for a great stay! Would highly recommend and absolutely stay again!
- Steve (6/5): - Despite asking for the Attic Room which only had a bed and single seat which pulled out to a bed there was nothing else in the room! On top of that no lift or no assistance in taking 4 cases up 5 flights of stairs. I would seriously consider staying here if you are of limited mobility or don't like stairs. Breakfast is ok, My wife and I would not stay here again. The staff whilst friendly didn't really care about us having to lug cases up and down stairs unassisted.overall very disappointed and quite frankly would not recommend.

What got were 2 double beds pushed against each other, which was not the.most.comfortable arrangement for sleeping. Breaktast was simple but nice. Limited choice, but fine for a short stay.

- Carol (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Guerrato. It was located very close to the Rialto Mercato stop for the water bus service which made transportation easy. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. We appreciated being able to have a room with three beds for our older children. This hotel puts you into the heart of Venice - right beside the market and the Rialto bridge. We were able to walk to St Mark’s Square as well as to a water taxi to go to Murano Island. Such fun! Do be warned that there are lots of stairs to climb with luggage. The lobby is on the first floor up and then rooms above that.
- Christopher (10/5): - Just got back after a 3 night stay at the Hotel Guerrato , when we arrived we were checked in promptly and luckily for us our room was ready! We had booked the attic room, which is lovely. It’s a lovely hotel and in a great area, close to the Rialto Mercato water bus stop and also the Rialto Brigde is 5 mins walk away! The breakfast is good, cereals, pastries and a limited hot selection, there is also a small selection of cooked meats.

The only thing that we found was that the air conditioning unit in our room was very noisy (but essential) and there was no lift so we had to carry heavy bags up fairly steep stairs to the reception. Bathrooms were leaking, didn’t have elevators, the reception folks never smiled once during the entire 3 day stay. The location was great but everything else was horrible! It was such a ripoff! They didn’t even give receipt for city taxes that they took cash for. Only 2 ladies supporting Breakfast and they didn’t have enough items or time to replace items fast enough. Terrible experience. Won’t recommend at even half the price!

- Verified traveler (10/5): Amazing hotel in Venice - Amazing location. We had a family room that was huge space for the five of us. Spent more time in the city than in the hotel. Hotel is very conveniently located which made it easy to drop by throughout the day. Highly recommended.
- Teck Kim (10/5): - We got the family suite (Scudi)- fit our family of 6 perfect. Unit was very comfortable though wished they had coffee in the unit (though there was a French press and teabags). Very close to everything. St Marks square was a short 7 min walk away. Only main downside is the lack of elevator- the unit is on the 4th floor- so bring your walking shoes!
- George (8/5): - This was a wonderful experience where the staff was incredibly courteous and we were able to stay. Let our bags stay there. They were very welcoming and always said farewell as we gave Marquis for the room. The room was quite comfy and would definitely stay again, but be a little bit more wary that restaurants near the Rialto are there for the views, not the quality of the food. The internet was all right.

- John (10/5): - Excellent property, was travelling with 3 girls stress free location 2 minute walk from drop off of the vaporetto dock, walking distance to everything so central and super safe. The hotel was amazing the staff was super kind and friendly made us feel so welcome , the room was very clean spotless, comfortable beds , very good AC . The breakfast was awesome a variety of everything very fresh, the staff prepared us every morning a really good cappuccino with a smile. Definitely will come back to this hotel on our next visit everything was above and beyond.

- Lindsay (10/5): Friendly hotel - Breakfast was great. Friendly and helpful staff. Close to water taxi stop and farmers market. Some of the rooms have shared bathrooms which I didn’t realize. Bathrooms were kept clean.

- Sara (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay at this property. Our room was comfortable, air-conditioned and clean. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was good. The price was extremely reasonable! One quick note: If you are coming from the train station, you will need to take the water taxi and go over the Rialto bridge on foot, which does not have a ramp. You must carry your luggage up and over the stairs. The Hotel does not have an elevator, so you must carry your luggage up at least one flight of stairs to get to reception and further up if you have a room upstairs. This was not a big problem for us, but just a warning for anyone that is bringing lots of luggage or can't lift and carry their own suitcases.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Beautiful hotel. - Hotel Guerrato had a lot of great qualities. Friendly attentive customer service. We had to contact them before our arrival. We had problems with our flight booking and had to rebook on a different airline. Unique antique furniture, nicely decorated w beautiful murano lighting chandeliers. Our rate included breakfast buffet. A lot of choices at breakfast. They gave great instructions to get to hotel from the train station. Very easy to take public water taxi to hotel. Not as easy/fast to get to airport. Water taxi to bus stop. Then bus to airport. Give yourself an hour. Air conditioning worked great and cooled the room quickly once you returned to the hotel. That is appreciated in the hot summer temps. A couple cons to consider. No mini fridge in room. They didn’t have room for my husband’s almond wraps in staff fridge. For travelers w dietary restrictions or medicines that need refrigeration. This may be a problem. NO ELEVATOR. So keep your luggage light. Pressure in shower could be better. I wasn’t going to try to wash my thick hair, opted to wait till next city.
