Rooms had unusually good complimentary tea. Staff was very friendly, translation software helped on communication. They offer complimentary pickup and dropoff. Their restaurant recommendations were excellent.

La habitación muy amplia con salón y un cuarto de baño grande. Te recogen gratis desde la estación de trenes. No hablan inglés en recepción pero con el traductor muy bien, la señal de wifi y la tarjeta de Holafly funcionan mal. Pagamos en efectivo la cena. El desayuno se hace en una cafetería a la que se accede desde el hotel y te sirven ellos. Es occidental si lo deseas y te preguntan por la bebida.

• Jacobus (10/5): Well worth a stay. I can’t see myself staying anywhere else in Pingyao. - The Pingyao Water Hotel is at an excellent location. It’s on the main North / South Street a few meters away from the massive South Gate where one can gain access to the old city wall to walk on, near a park just outside the ancient city, and a very short walk from where the 20:00 and 22:00 light shows are projected. There are plenty of shops and restaurants near the hotel, and it shares the location with Luckin Coffee where one can order something delicious to drink and where one actually sits to have the hotel’s breakfast in the morning. There is a ticket stand a few meters from the hotel where one can purchase an entry ticket for the many temples and museums and points of interest scattered all over the ancient city. Th staff are helpful and friendly. The hotel is spotlessly clean and calm from the hustle and bustle of the city street on the outside. My friend and I opted for two of the upstairs tatami bedrooms and felt well rested and relaxed having spent a few nights there. I plan on returning to Pingyao some time in the future, and I will be staying here again.

• nello (9/5): - Posizionato sulla via principale della vecchia città in una casa originale , camere enormi( e non esagero) tenute benissimo , bella la chiusura delle porte che è ancora come una volta con un enorme lucchetto . Buona colazione nel cortile interno ( tempo permettendo) Direi veramente bello e personale ottimo . Il costo però è veramente alto per lo standard cinese . Calcolando che a Pingyao ci passi e riparti purtroppo non ti godi la struttura, di fatto qui un giorno e mezzo è più che sufficiente per visitare il paese . Comunque se volete fare l’uovo fuori dalla cesta per un paio di giorni in pieno relax ci sta tutto .

L'albergo e molto accogliente con un cortile interno curatissimo e arredato come una serra domestica con tante piante e fiori. La stanza è molto spaziosa con un grande bagno. La colazione è servita in vassoio con poca varietà di scelta.

• Philipp (8/5): Perfekt für Pingyao - Das Hotel liegt in bester, zentraler Lage in Pingyao in einer der zentralen Straßen nahe dem Südtor. Die Zimmer sind ruhig und sehr gut ausgestattet. Wir bekamen ein kostenloses Upgrade. Der kostenlose Transport von und zum Bahnhof hat perfekt geklappt. Wir können das Hotel sehr empfehlen. Die Lichtshow außerhalb des Südtors am Abend ist mega. Allerdings muss man wissen das das Tor dafür geschlossen wird und man außen herum gehen muss. Viele Fahrer bieten für kleines Geld einen Transport an. Das westliche Frühstück entspricht nicht europäischen Standards, daher sollte man nicht zu hohe Erwartungen haben. Es gab Kaffee, Salat und Spiegelei sowie Früchte (Erdbeeren, Heidelbeeren).

Les explications pour visiter la ville ont été parfaites, Pingyao est magnifique ❤️ Le transfert aller-retour inclus dans le prix de la chambre est très appréciable, le petit déjeuner très bon! Nous conseillons! La chambre est un peu sombre mais elle est bien éclairée. C’est aussi la conséquence de donner sur une cour intérieure, très jolie d’ailleurs!

A acomodação da suíte é muito agradável e espaçosa como nas fotos, e tudo muito limpo e organizado, com amenities e atenção aos detalhes. A cama e enxoval eram ótimos! O prédio é antigo, e está em um centro histórico - então há alguns detalhes que não aparecem nas fotos que você vai perceber isto - mas nada que atrapalhe uma breve estadia. É muito silencioso para dormir, não há carros na região. A área de café não é mais a das fotos - é uma parte adjacente dentro do hotel, que foi alugada para o Lucky Coffee (o starbucks da China) antes do horário de abertura da loja - o que também não é um problema. O café da manhã é basico (foto) - mas satisfatório. Tem duas opções, oriental e continental. Pedimos os dois para dividir. Eu achei o oriental mais bem servido (foto) O café espresso estava ótimo.Recomendo pelo custo-benefício, localização, excelente atendimento da equipe e conforto do quarto. Como possível melhoria apensa recomendo adicionar um suco de frutas. E as frutas também poderia ter um mix melhor, com duas opçoes cortadas por exemplo. Uma porção de pequena de iogurte seria bom no ocidental.
• Ambra (9/5): Beautiful stay in Pingyao - We had a brief stay at Water Hotel in Pingyao. We had a very silent room on the first floor, very spacious, clean, and tasteful. Staff was very helpful for all our requests, and we really appreciated the car service to/from the railway station, with the driver helping us with our luggage till the hotel door. There is an inner space as well in the hotel where you can relax a bit. Location is perfect as you are in one of Pingyao ancient city’s main streets, however as previously said our room was facing the backyard hence very silent and we slept well. We paid ca. €115/night which is on the upper side for Chinese hotels, we were expecting good service and were not disappointed. Everything was very good, the only improvement feedback concerns the breakfast: we tried both the Western and Chinese one but both could be improved. It would be also good to find some tea in the room to make (as there is a water kettle).

Ook is het ophalen en wegbrengen super geregeld ondanks dat we vanwege een vroege trein al om 06:00 weg moesten. En met inchecken kregen we een upgrade en met uitchecken nog een aardigheidje mee. Eigelijk niets. Alles was perfect.

The location couldn't have been more central and the pick up service at the station was great. All in all, a great stay and great value for money. Thank you!

• Janet (9/5): Encantador hotel - Muy bonitas las habitaciones la decoración y muy amplia, tiene un encanto antiguo. El personal muy atento y amigable. El desayuno no porque esté mal sino porque elegí la opción desayuno chino y no me gustó mucho. Pero el continental estaba mejor.
• Michał (10/5): Przyjemny hotel za małe pieniądze - Bardzo fajny hotel. Zapewnił nam darmowy transport z dworca szybkich pociągów w obie strony. Hotel w samym centrum przy głównej ulicy starego miasta. Śniadanie bardzo dobre. Pokój bardzo przestronny i czysty, łóżka bardzo wygodne. Obsługa nie męczyła się z angielskim tylko od razu korzystała z tłumacza na język angielski więc komunikacja była bardzo dobra. Po wymeldowaniu mogliśmy zostawić bagaże w hotelu. Przy wymeldowaniu dostaliśmy podziękowania i mały podarunek. Brak wad, w Pingyao ancient town jest wiele tańszych obiektów, ale uważam że cena i tak nie jest wysoka a hotel jest na prawdę bardzo przyjemny. Do hotelu bym wrócił.

• HEDI (10/5): L'authenticité au cœur de pingyao - Hôtel original de par son architecture. Suite exceptionnelle. Agencée et décorée avec goût. L'hôtel nous a offert gracieusement les trajets aller-retour gare/hôtel. Emplacement au cœur de la vieille ville. Le petit déjeuner est très limité en comparaison aux autres hébergements en quantité et en qualité.

• Georg (7/5): Hervorragend für diejenigen, die in einem chinesischen Urlaubsort unterkommen wollen. - Die Lage war exzellent, mitten im "Herz" von Pingyao. Zimmer und Frühstück waren so "lala", aber deshalb waren wir ja nicht gekommen. Wenn man mit dem Anspruch, in einem chinesischen Urlaubsort unterzukommen reist, ist das Hotel bei allen sonstigen Umständen phänomenal. Ein besonderer Lob geht an das Personal. Wir sind mit einem Mietwagen dorthin gefahren, dessen Batterie ärgerlicherweise ihre Dienste versagte. Hier wurde uns prima geholfen, mit diesem Problem zurecht zu kommen. Wichtig anzumerken ist, dass das Hotel entgegen der Angaben in booking.com über keinen eigenen Parkplatz verfügt. Entsprechend muss man selbst dafür sorgen und sollte sich bereits im Vorfeld dazu erkundigen, wo man außerhalb parken kann.

At arrival we got a free room upgrade to an immense large room, including a bath, it was heaven! Bed slept very comfortably, everything is clean and we had a hightec toilet which opens when you arrive. All luxurious. One minor piece of advice to the hotel is to improve breakfast, we tried both the chinese and western version, but weren't blown away.

Letto grande e comodo, ci abbiamo dormito in 3 in famiglia. Camera e bagno puliti. Posto molto silenzioso. Colazione abbondante. Lo staff non conosce la lingua inglese ma con il traduttore è stato molto disponibile a darci indicazioni e trovare un autista per una gita in giornata. Super convenient location to see everything in Pingyao. They packed our breakfast for us since our departing train left earlier than when they usually serve breakfast.
