Guest Reviews
- STEPHEN (10/5): - Lovely location in the heart of Pateley Bridge with friendly staff and a fabulous breakfast. The car park adjacent to property is a public car park so can be a bit hit and miss if you get a spot but there are other options close by. Highly recommend
- Andew M (10/5): Quiet relaxing break - A big plus was the freshly cooked and tasty breakfast breakfast - plenty of it too. We had a quiet room which was very clean. Usual tea and coffee provided but there was fresh milk in a fridge too so that was good. Biscuits top notch and there were few extra nibbles in the form of chocolates too. Parking nearby was no problem.WiFi fast too.
- Mark (10/5): Pateley revisited - Lovely comfortable stay, very quiet, especially for the centre of the village. Very good breakfast and plenty of tea & coffee with fresh milk in the rooms.
- Christine (8/5): Great B and B. - Great B and B in lovely Pateley Bridge with the added bonus of great little restaurant downstairs in the evening . Super comfortable and clean , spacious room. Freshly cooked delicious breakfast. Great host.
- Gary (10/5): Perfect - Our room was perfect, king bed, bedding and decor of room was cosy and well-furnished. We had a great choice for breakfast. Delicious pancakes! Margaret was the perfect host. 10 out of 10. We can highly recommend Willows.
- Maurice (10/5): - On arrival meet member of staff who showed us to room she was very friendly polite and helpful
- Bernadette (10/5): Two nights in Pateley Bridge. - The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice with seperate seating, tea and coffee facilities with fresh milk and nicely decorated. There was a great choice at breakfast time. The B& B is very central to Pateley Bridge and has its own, off road, parking. Very good value for money.
We dined at Olley's Italian restaurant and The Crown Inn, which were both very good. The restaurant at The Willow was not open on the nights we were there or we would have dined there.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Adequate for a short stay - Adequate for a one night stay. Room size okay for a short stay but a bit dusty in places (on the top of the kettle, towel shelves and on the skirting boards). Very small en suite with tiny sink (too small to fill the kettle). Comfortable bed and generous cooked breakfast but limited cereal selection. Welcome and departure could have been friendlier.
- Melanie (8/5): Lovely B&B clean, friendly, comfy! - Amazing B&B very clean and pretty, nice furniture, big comfy bed. Nice bathroom. Cute little touches like chocolates in the room. Food was good. Good location Would definitely recommend!
- Christine (10/5): Brilliant. - What a fantastic B and B !! Clean, comfortable, with a restaurant serving delicious home cooked food. Friendly people. Would highly recommend and will definitely return whenever we are in the area.
- Alison (10/5): An absolute gem - An absolute gem! Highly recommended. Perfect location, fabulous, comfortable and quiet room. Host could not have been more helpful. Probably the best B&B we have ever stayed in.
- Andrew (8/5): - We spent one night at the Willow. The location is excellent just a few steps from the main road with shops, pubs and restaurants. The parking is free and very good. The bed was very comfortable. The only drawback was the very small on-suite and the chairs in the room were not comfortable. They need to be more stable. Breakfast was ok. Dinner was average. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Good for a quick stay.
- Catherine (10/5): Clean, great value and good food. - Lovely one night break. Room was very comfortable, very clean with a giant and comfortable bed. Fantastic breakfast included. We all ate in the restaurant which was really good food at a very good price. Very highly recommended.
- Ian (10/5): - Lovely little place. Room nice size, clean and comfortable. Food in restaurant excellent. 5 minute walk to show ground which is reason we booked.
Would definitely stay here again.
- Stephen (10/5): - Lovely room large and inviting. Very comfortable chairs for sitting is a nice touch. Fantastic breakfast. If you want a full English but are not a very big eater ask for a smaller version with just one of everything instead of two. Good value for money compared with other offerings at a similar price and more expensive which only offer a private bathroom rather than en-suite.
- April (6/5): - Good location.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Lovely place to stay, staff very friendly.
- David (10/5): - We had a lovely stay here. It was a small but cosy B&B, our room was a good size, tidy and comfortable.
Breakfast was delicious, as was the food in the restaurant in the evening! The early bird menu was brilliant.
Really nice village B&B with everything you could ask for.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Perfect - What a lovely stay in Pateley Bridge over the new year period. Margaret & the team were really welcoming and the service impeccable. My wife & I ate an incredible evening meal on New Year’s Eve which was followed by equally delicious breakfasts over the following couple of days. Cant fault our stay or location.
- Margaret (10/5): - Great stay . Nice comfortable room with fridge and in centre of Pately
- Sarah (10/5): - Location excellent. Room large, clean and comfortable. Really nice vibes.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The accommodation was very good very clean with plenary of space and good amenities
The breakfast was superb I would definitely recommend the Willows
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This is our second visit to this property and it will always be our first choice in the area. Fabulous rooms, warm welcome, good British breakfast and centrally located.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very clean, spacious room with small en-suite shower room. Amazing breakfast. Very friendly staff.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We had a great stay at this lovely B&B! The double room was good sized, clean with en suite, located on a quiet road in the heart of the village and nice breakfast was served in the mornings - overall friendly service and atmosphere.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great place, spotless and very well equipped.
Right next door to the Willow Restaurant which did a fantastic breakfast.
Waterfall tap in the bathroom was fun... Lots of pressure which soaked you if you turned it on past 1/4 turn 😂
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Wonderful stay everything you could wish for and food was fantastic.
- Fran (10/5): - Beautiful B and B. Very friendly accommodating staff. We eat in the restaurant in the evening. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Breakfast was excellent with fresh fruit and local produce.
- Julie (8/5): Mixed feelings - Lovely room and location in a very nice village. A couple of things to address: Wardrobe door needs attention. Staff at breakfast did not seem interested. Owner has been ill and restaurant did not want to open in the evening so we said we would eat out. Following a slow breakfast we asked for toast and jam. Waited 15 mins and gave up. When we told staff we were leaving we were told 'sorry she was on the phone'... What a shame as this place has excellent reviews
- Martyn (10/5): Warm Welcome - A very warm friendly welcome which continued through our stay. Great place to stay to explore the local area and their home cooked food was fantastic. Room was clean and comfortable with lots of space for 2 of us in the cottage.
- Dave (10/5): Lovely place & staff - We were celebrating my wifes birthday and the Willows was a lovely place to stay. The owner was unfortunately in hospital but the staff were great and surprised my wife with a complimentary bottle of wine, a lovely gesture. We will definately stay again when in Pateley Bridge 😊
- Shelley (10/5): Lovely B&B in Pateley Bridge - Lovely stay at The Willow in Pateley Bridge. The B&B was really homely and the double room was a very good size. Lovely and warm on a cold winter's night. The owner was unfortunately in hospital so the restaurant wasn't open but our needs were still catered for very well. Lovely cooked breakfast the following morning and parking available behind the B&B.
Would stay here again if in the area - highly recommended!
- Robert (10/5): Wonderful food - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable, the food and service were excellent.
- Penny (10/5): - Amazing place, very welcoming and really looked after
- Verified traveler (6/5): Worth considering if you are prepared to pay - The cottage had been furnished well and was spotlessly clean. The entry on Hotels.com was accurate and as described. The building smelled a little damp probably due to being unoccupied and the WiFi did not work for us. The position is urban a few feet from the main street and we were woken by people leaving the local pubs noisily. This is an expensive option for what it was and more reasonable options in quieter locations may well be available. However if you are prepared to pay then this is worth considering.
- julie (10/5): Fantastic - Huge clean cosy room in the centre of pateley bridge. Very quiet with all amenities. Lovely breakfast the next morning. Staff friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend the willows
- Miguell (10/5): Yorkshire Dales Trip - Amazing! Room was nice, but cottages look fantastic and Breakfast beautifully cooked and super tasty!
Had Dinner there too and one of the best in a long time!!!
Very good value and what a lovely Town/Village!
- Raymond (10/5): - We only stayed the one night but what a little gem we found the room was superb the kind of room we would have in our own home, a comfortable king size bed and lovely bathroom
- farmgirls (10/5): lovely place - stayed in lovely 2 bed cottage for 2 nights . everything we needed, comfortable beds and cosy lounge to relax in. already planning our next visit. thanks
- Siri (8/5): Nidderdale Way - The Willow is nestled in Pateley Bridge, down a side street. We were offered an unexpectedly large room (small flat, really!) with a kitchenette and living room. We had a tasty and filling breakfast in a charming dining room - a great start to the 4-day Nidderdale Walk !
- Verified traveler (10/5): Niddfest - Had a super time at Niddfest events. Accommodation very central and handy for all facilities/shops etc.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Centre of Pateley Bridge - excellent location, comfortable room (superking bed) fridge with tea, coffee & biscuits
- JOHN&JOAN (10/5): A most enjoyable stay. - Greeted with a smile on arrival, room very comfortable, food both Dinner in the evening and Breakfast most enjoyable.Very pleased we chose the Willow and would most definitely stay there again. Many thanks to Margaret and staff.
- Darren (10/5): A hotel exactly has it should be - a jewel - Booked the willows as a last minute getaway for me and my girlfriend.
As someone that stays in hotels a lot for work and rarely writes reviews, I feel after staying here , I must share my views.
Customer service here is beyond impeccable.
We dealt with the owner , Margaret , the owner. A proper no nonsense landlady who loves what she does and is committed to making sure you love your stay.
Nothing is too much trouble. The facilities are exactly as advertised as with so many other places the photos regularly do not match the reality.
Proper home cooked food made on the premises , not pseudo boils in the bag rubbish , proper food again home made by the owner.
If you want a great quiet getaway with awesome service and fantastic food and service like it should be and used to be provided by people who live their job and actually are committed to great customer serine , you will not find anywhere better than Margaret and her staff at the willows in Patel bridge , Harrogate.
- Dawn (10/5): Gods Country - The “cottage” felt like we were staying in a coach house. Quaint, old world charm with modern conveniences. Very convenient to local area. Restaurant was exceptional, meals are made to order and fairly priced. Was equipped to handle gluten-free dietary restrictions which was greatly appreciated. Staff were friendly and accommodating.
- Heather (10/5): Over night stay - Warm welcome by Margaret room lovely clean plenty of coffee and a selection of teas and biscuits, breakfast good and plenty of it ,and parking is a large car park which was a must for me ,would defintley use again and very quiet for a good nights sleep .☺️
