Linda (9/5): Lovely town, food location! - The location was good with the parking in the municipal lot right behind the hotel. You had to move your car daily from part A to part B, but it was very close. The room was comfortable, and the bathroom large. The shower in the bathroom room was ADAC with a shower wand, but the attaching parts were wonky and made it very difficult to use (and we do not need ADAC facilities). There was a minibar, which we did not use, but there were no glasses or cups, plastic or otherwise in the bathroom, which I have never experienced before. No breakfast, in spite of the rates.

Parking in the back is free. This was our second stay, and we'll come again. The main desk isn't staffed for quite a few hours. There's a number to call if you have a problem, and we didn't have any, but that might be an issue for others.

660barbarat (10/5): A stay at The Hudson Whaler should be “ IN YOUR PLANS” - We went to the Hudson Whaler hotel for a few days the beginning of July 2025. The hotel is absolutely charming. and is located on the Main Street of town with easy walking distance to most of the recommended local sights, restaurants and shops. When we entered the hotel, we were greeted by a very friendly and most personal young woman who showed us around the main floor with the beautiful and charming Old World furnishings and decorations, including the lovely backyard with comfortable seating surrounded by flowers and plants. . We then went up to look at our room and were very impressed with all the modern up to date amenities. The furniture, while looking Old World contained all modern and up to date features with the bed having a most comfortable firm mattress, very soft linens and several blankets, there was a large flat screen TV, heat and air conditioning with in room controls and even an outlet box to charge your computerized devices. The new fully equipped bathroom had excellent lighting and a terrific walk in shower. Our stay at the Hudson Whaler was wonderful and the staff was most courteous and helpful in answering all our questions and requests for restaurants, places of interest, travel directions etc.

We took Amtrak to Hudson and walked here from the station. This hotel was very well decorated. I like how much they leaned into the nautical and whaling theme. The shower was extremely nice and the bathrooms felt quite modern. The bed was comfortable. I like the interior of the hotet. It felt opulent without being overdone. The staff was extremely friendly, and they totally made the trip. I'd come back here anytime.

Alicia (10/5): Very quaint and charming cozy stay in the heart of downtown Hudson - This was such a lovely stay, we were so impressed with the styling of the entire place. The rooms were incredibly comfortable and the showers were awesome. I also greatly appreciated that they had a small gym. You never find gyms in a place like this and having a place to be able to go and stretch after a long day was fantastic. The only suggestion we had was maybe a small breakfast in the mornings, but it was appreciated to have snacks for sale in the room

Francesco (7/5): Some small annoyances but nice overall - Excellent location and nice decor Some of the fixtures in the bathroom a little outdated / worn out. Bathtub had several black/brown spots that made it look as if it were not clean (likely discoloured). The bed was very small for a Queen size. There was no bedside table on one side, and a super noisy mini-fridge made sleeping hard.

Everything clean and beautiful, I wanted to purchase everything in the room, everything was so cute. They will let you check out late (12:30 for me) for no extra fee. NO BRAINER!! Bougie fireplace, the still offer traditional amenities like room service. Thank you and I will be back! -Shay

JimJML (10/5): Excellent hotel in Hudson, NY - The Hudson Whaler provided us with a very comfortable stay while in Hudson, NY. The front desk staff were so accommodating and offered helpful information regarding the area. The hotel lobby is very inviting and comfortable. There is also a great outside area to relax in good weather.The rooms were comfortable and well maintained. Hudson is a fun town to explore with coffee shops and restaurants nearby.

Nathgrd (8/5): Very good - Very nice and cozy, big room and very quiet. The staff is super friendly. We wished that they offered breakfast, but it's true that not all hotels do and they were very clear about it.
JAMES (10/5): Comfortable, quiet, pleasing to the eye. - The room was clean, comfortable, attractively decorated, and well-lit--the desk was especially appreciated. Even though the winter has been unusually mild, the electric fireplace was welcome. Nicely furnished lobby, very friendly desk clerk. Good value. Relatively short (20 minutes) walk to Amtrak.
UWS1NYC (10/5): Perfect place to stay in Hudson - A relaxing and yet central location to Hudson. The staff were kind and helpful, the hotel itself is beautifully maintained and updated while celebrating its history. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bathroom had all the essentials and especially soft towels! I'd stay there again!
