Guest Reviews
- Kaci (10/5): - Helpful staff
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The property was old and tired. The room very small. Barely enough room for the bed. The property reminded me of staying at my grandparents house.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This hotel is a SCAM !!!!
I booked online and prepaid for the night. They left a voicemail without saying who they were.
I called back the number and then they said that they didn't have any rooms left. I politely asked for an email sghowing that they cancelled our booking , and that we would no be charged and they declined to write it. The manager told me I could come and sleep on their parking lot in my car and that they would charge me for it.
I received an email asking how my arrival went and answered that there was no room available and that the staff was rude.
The hotel responded this : " F*** ***!!! "
Do not go there !!!!
Expedia told me that they were still accepting other bookings for the same hotel as the hotel didn't notify they were "supposedly" full. And yes when you prepay the hotel HAS TO CANCEL AND REFUND not say if you don't come we don't charge you ... WROOOOONNNGGG and they know it!
They are liars and getting insulted for a room you already paid is not worth this crappy hotel!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very clean, well maintained. Building may be a older, but very well kept and maintained, The staff was so accommodating and helpful.
I will definitely stay at this place again!!
- Madeline (10/5): Great stay - The inn was very nice. The room was small, and appliances out dated, but that didn’t matter. The bed was comfortable, and everything worked. The showers are tiny, but they get the job done. Very happy with how clean and well maintained it was. Only real complaint was that the first time I called the inn I got ahold of someone very rude, but every time my husband called he got great service. Check in went smoothly and the man at the desk was very nice.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very courteous staff, exemplary service.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The room was given away by Gunnison so I had to sleep in my car at a Rest Area!
Since it was a three night situation, the owner sent me away for two nights at her other place. Please remove the first night from my stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The service was great the room was very clean the room was extremely small with a small bed not very comfortable for 2 people the bathroom was probably the smallest bathroom I’ve ever been in as was the shower I’m not a huge guy but I’m not tiny either overall we had a great stay and would recommend this place and stay again in the future
- Rebecca (2/5): Stay here if you want your money stolen from you! - I really can't say if the hotel was clean. When i tried to check in the desk clerk was very rude to me because hotels.com had made a mistake and let me book a room when there was none available! When i called hotels.com to get my money back because i had prepaid for my non refundable room, they said they would get back to me. They looked into it and the Gunnison Inn is going to stick to their policies and not refund my money. So if you want to give your hard earned money away and not receive a service, by all means stay at this hotel. I will never book with hotels.com again because they do not stand behind their customers!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - wouldn't honor the reservation
- S (8/5): Nice stay - The owner was very kind and friendly when we checked in. The room was nice and clean.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The Gunnison Inn was clean and reasonably comfortable. The microwave and refrigerator were useful. The staff was welcoming. It's the only motel in town so there is little push to upgrade.
- Verified traveler (10/5): No complaints - It was great for the price!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very nice people. We checked in late ( no Problem) checked out late (no problem)
It was quiet and restful. Th people were very nice!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I was pleasantly surprised about this hotel. We arrived after 9:00 but there was someone there to check us in. The rooms were clean and housekeeping did a very nice job during our stay. We liked having the beds in separate rooms. The only thing that was an issue is that there wasn’t a hairdryer in the room - I should’ve checked before the trip. Overall we would stay there again.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Nice people. Just really outdated and uncomfortable beds.
- Jim (10/5): - We stayed in room 3 and it was great. It was clean, the beds were comfortable, a TV on each side with great cable and a pod coffee maker. I would definitely stay again.
- Joshua (8/5): - I liked that this Inn was close to an event that I was attending. I was able to sleep longer because I was so close.
I didn't like that I arrived at 9:10 and had to call to get checked in as it seemed that the staff had already left for the evening.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very clean. Room was tiny but in good condition. Check in was smooth and trouble free.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was fine given the location. But was surprised that it was as nice as it was given the rural location
- Verified traveler (6/5): - About what you’d expect from a 1/2 star. Small, relatively clean, but lots of spiders and bugs, and the linens and towels reeked of cigarette smoke. A/C worked well. Would be nice to have a box of Kleenexes.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Room was very clean and comfortable. Took a long time to get hot water; had to let it run for about 5-10 minutes before it finally warmed up, but it was wonderful thereafter.
Property is a older, so room was rather small.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - person answering the phone has No customer service attitude.
- Glen (6/5): - The room was clean but small. The bathroom had no electrical outlet.
- Carol (2/5): Disappointed and Unimpressed!! - Had a nonrefundable room booked and confirmed. When we arrived we were not on their list. We were billed through hotel.com. The hotel was rude and less than accommodating.
- Gayle (8/5): Excellent - Great
- ALICE (2/5): Poor review - Next to the highway which had large loud trucks all night long. We did not sleep at all left the room at 6am and did not stay for our prepaid 2nd night! The clerk said he could credit the night but we would never stay there again!!!!
- Mel (2/5): With one bed in each room and to top it off they c - I booked a single room with two queen beds when I got there they were sold out so they gave me two single rooms With one bed in each room and to top it off they charged me an additional $62 for the extra room
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The room was smaller than our bedroom at home, really cramped. Commode was tiny, okay for a 2 to 8 year old. No ice dispenser, no free breakfast, poor lighting, no parking for every room, no iron and no ironing board, none of the usual amenities that we are used to having. Will not go back. Sorry, oh and someone cracked my front passenger window.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean and quiet. The hot water was amazing. The bed was a little uncomfortable but overall it was a good value and stay.
- Jennifer (10/5): - It was a nice, quiet, cozy littke country inn. And the bed was so comfortable.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Thing only thing that i would suggest is better window coverings. Someone could look into the room from the sides of the window right next to the bathroom. A bit uncomfortable.
- Rockey (10/5): - We were vary happy staying at the Gunnison inn.
Chuck and the staff were vary friendly.
They were helpful with places to eat and see.
- Benjamin (10/5): - For the price it was great, microwave, fridge, two beds, huge bathroom.
- Mary (8/5): - It wasn’t huge but all I needed it for was for a night stay. It was clean and cute. It had a large screen TV. It had internet service, microwave, refrigerator, air conditioner. They helped me check in late and had everything ready. Easy check out when I left. It was what I needed.
- jeffrey (2/5): - Could not even check in
Need a refund
Had to sleep in parking lot
- AJ (10/5): - Gunnison Inn was a pleasant surprise. Knowing it’s a roadside motel in a very small town, and we didn’t pay very much for the room, we were expecting much lower quality.
The room was very clean and quiet, and the beds were noticeably very comfortable. The thing that surprised us when we first went in our room was the quality of the appliances and the size of the tv. We didn’t actually use the tv, but it was huge for a hotel room.
The bathroom seemed to be recently updated and was very clean and nice.
Our family of 4 (2 adults and two toddlers) had a very good experience, and are 100% set on continuing to stay their for our annual family reunion in Sanpete County.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Family reunion - Clean and comfortable.
- Kimberly (10/5): Small town motel - Overall it’s a good place to stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was a very nice, very clean hotel, it had everything we needed. The staff was very helpful. We accidentally left a hat and they are mailing that back to me. Very nice staff.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Room was changed by manager from queen to double. I paid for a Queen put in Another room and it had a extension cord from air conditioner under the bed to plug in over the persons head. It would literally fall on your head. Sink didn't drain, bathtub water dripped and bugs in the tub. We went to a performance and got back and someone had parked in our room space. Small area and we had to park in another spot. Never stay there again.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Rooms had a damp smell of smoke
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The staff was unprofessional and confronted me about me saying that hotel stunk. The office smelled badly of smoke, which was bothering my asthma.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Not bad. Worked in a pinch. - Bathroom was hard to maneuver in. Bed was not very comfortable.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great! - It is actually updated on the inside and the owners are very nice. My wife and I really enjoyed it. Recommend!!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice and cloze to activities
- Roland (10/5): Will stay again - I enjoyed my stay at the Gunnison Inn witha friendly and helpfull staff.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Older hotel, but my room was well maintained. I could tell the bathroom had recently been remodeled using quality materials. The desk, etc. in the room looked custom built and they did a good job. TV and air conditioner were very old.
- Mark (6/5): Gunnison Stay on Way to SLC - This is a basic hotel. The town is a nice small town and loved the movie theater and drive in hamburger milkshake place. The hotel had mostly people staying there that were doing work on projects and out early in the morning.
- Wendell (8/5): - Office smells like smoke but my room smelled good
