Guest Reviews
- Rance (2/5): Terrible - Room was filthy, even the non smoking room was suffocating with the smell of smoke. Bathrooms unclean and gross
- Verified traveler (6/5): Friendly people with under maintaining facility. - When we checked in, they put us in a dirty room. And then upon complaining, they changed to a different room which caused us wasted nearly 1 hour of our valuable vacation time. The fitted sheet was full of stains. Yuck!
- Verified traveler (2/5): Nope! - We stood outside waiting for about 10 minutes just for someone to help us get checked in. He finally came and was presumably cleaning a room, still wearing the dirty gloves, he took my card and ID with. We took one look at our room and decided to book elsewhere. I'm not picky by any means and have stayed in some pretty iffy places, but this one takes the cake. The mattress and blankets were extremely stained up. The mini fridge was very dirty inside. The smell of the room was terrible. I didn't even look in the bathroom. There were life jackets and other items all scattered right outside our door. The other guy had to come move them just to get in our room. I let the man who checked us in, know that we'd be looking elsewhere and that our room was filthy. Both men did show concern and told us they had cleaned it themselves, but we booked through a third party, so no refund or anything could be offered that I know of. We knew we wouldn't be getting much with an economy motel, but even this was surprising!
- Tim (4/5): 7.2 rating? Hmm...don't think so. - I don't know how this hotel has a 7+ rating. We stayed in 5&6+ rated hotels within a half mile of this place that were both much better, by far, stays than Economy Hotel. You also have to stand outside in the weather and check in through a small window. Then they want you to sign another credit card receipt (not your own card), even after you've already prepaid on hotels.com. Supposedly this was a charge to Expedia for the price they were being charged by the hotel. I may be wrong, but I think it's actually illegal to sign your name to a credit card that's not your own. We decided to stay there due to the 7+ rating, but we won't be back. The room, bath and bed were all substandard.
- Nicole (10/5): Great stay - Amazing people...
- Robert (10/5): - A one floor motel where u can park ur car in front of ur motel room door. A few minutes walking distance to downtown businesses and entertainment. Descent small clean rooms with the basic amenities.
- BLANCA (6/5): - it looks like the place just been remodel and or its just taking place but our room had a funky smell. The bathroom tile was clean and the room had new carpet but the wall by the a/c look bumpy. The quilt had some stains...
- Chrystan (6/5): - We weren’t able to check in until after 4:30 because the motel didn’t receive the paperwork from hotels.com. The lady in the front, didn’t know how to work the computer, so she had to call her boss and we had to continue to wait after our 10 hour drive. The cleanliness was good but the infrastructure was not. Multiple holes and dents in the walls; outdated AC unit and furniture. For paying $90 per night, we could have went to a nicer hotel for $10 more. Will not be returning to this motel.
- PJ (10/5): Awesome Stay!Great location - The rooms are so nice, it's quiet and clean the front desk clerk has a very nice attitude. Friendly .My stay was comfortable and pleasant.I will certainly stay again!
- Bobby (8/5): - People at the hotel with great the people that live around it horrible
- joel (10/5): Great option. I'll stay here again. - Think of the most basic motel you could stay in. Thats this place. Small fridge. Microwave. Closet. Nice bathroom accually. Room was clean. Beds are comfortable. Seemed like they renovated in recent years. Flat screen tv with cable. Wifi was a little slow. Room service was reliable. There is no open lobby but service was quick at the push of a door bell at a window.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The bed was full of blood. And the other was not really clean.
- Verified traveler (2/5): ^^^^^^^^^^^ - Horrible
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This was the worst hotel I have ever been booked. I smelled like they just bug bombed it and it is old, outdated and filthy. I was forced to book another room at another hotel. It was unacceptable.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I have stayed here several times, as well as at other similarly priced motels. This place does not have the problems that many of the others do such as faulty plumbing, faulty outlets, rermotes that don't work, etc. Things work here. Owners and staff are friendly and responsive. The modest exterior may suggest that it's subpar, but it's fine, with remodeled bathrooms. Being single story, there are no loud people crossing in front of your room to get to the stairs, so there is a feeling of privacy.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good stay and found that the room is very clean and rest rooms also clean. Easy access for beach
- Michael (2/5): Horror - This hotel is dirty, smelly, and in need of a serious makeover. The carpet was sticky, the walls and upholstery was stained. It smelled of curry and stale smoke. The bes is 70ft from the road and a busy intersection. Paint was peeling off the walls and ceiling. Strongly recommend staying elsewhere. I left after 30 minutes without a refund!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Horrible hotel, no lobby, you have to check in through a drive through style window. No staff present just the owner/manager who only answers the window after you ring the bell for ten minutes. My bed sheets had spots of blood or something to that effect on them. The chairs in the room were so dirty that I wouldn’t set my luggage on them. Bathroom seemed to have been recently renovated but the towels were rough enough to rip your skin. I had checked in late night and cut my stay from 3 nights to one. Had to go to another hotel. Room 110. They could do a horror movie there.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Close to the beach, very clean, simple and easy check in and out!
- Misty (10/5): Budget - It's a very nice place for people on a budget it's close to a few restaurants and not to for from the beach
- Shelby (8/5): Evacuate - We evacuated Panama City
- Jess (8/5): - Very pleasant while checking me in and veey nice quiet environment
- Candice (2/5): - The rooms are very small, no ice machine, rooms are very outdated! The bathroom was remodeled.
- Anamous (6/5): - Location is good. Hotel have to be renovated .Not suitable for family . Internet not working .Refrigerator leaking. Beds not comfortable . Stinking rooms .Have insects in the room.
After complaining Staff shifted the room . The new room was better but not up to mark .
- Mike (6/5): - The room itself was okay, but definitely not a 3 star place. I would rate at 1.5 - 2.0 star room. I had hoped to have a desk to work in the room, but there was none. On the other hand, there wasn't really enough room for a desk.
- Cecil (6/5): - Room to close to hwy plus light shined in all night
- Oleg (8/5): Nice motel for money. - You get what you pay for. We are satisfied for quick stay. Like it says economy. Good customer service.
- Karl (10/5): Good place. - There is nothing wrong with this place, if you have no problem with its location on a busy corner. Very clean, everything works, comfortable bed, remodeled bathroom with new tile, and responsive, friendly management. If you fret over a stain on a chair, or some other minor aesthetic matter, you need to pay a lot more, elsewhere.
- Karl (8/5): - Nothing wrong with this place, unless you don't like its location on a busy corner. Everything works, remodeled bathroom, comfortable bed, friendly responsive staff. The location is advantageous if you would like to walk to town or the island, and not have to drive back. They could use an ice machine, but good value, overall.
- jennifer (2/5): - it was awful. ive never been so uncomfortable staying in a hotel before.
- Hayley (10/5): - This hotel far exceeded our expectations. Initially, I was a bit apprehensive. From the outside, it doesn’t look like much, but as we entered room (204?) we were met with updated furnishings and amenities and the overall cleanliness that put us immediately at ease. This was a GREAT room for the PRICE and LOCATION. You’re not going to get the grandiose views or space that you would get paying $500/night at a Wyndham, but if you are looking for a more affordable option in close proximity to the beach, this is a great place to stay. Also a very safe area.
- Heath (6/5): - Good location not too far from beaches , shops and restaurants. Parking lot is very small. No receptacle in the bathroom and I could see the ground wire hanging out of the light fixture above the mirror. Also the light switch was upside down. Window unit worked great nice and cold. There was exposed wire on the bed lamp cable near the plug. Fresh towels and rags. Room was fairy clean just old and needs updating but I believe it is a 3 star hotel so..
- Marie E (8/5): saves money. - The maid acted unfriendly towards me. the room and bed were clean and comfortable room had an odd odor.
- Eddy (8/5): - Close enough to the beach. Well worth the money
- Verified traveler (8/5): Cute, and clean. - The Owners are very nice. The room is small, but clean. You can see they care about the look of the room. New bathroom with tile and toilet and shower. New carpeting, bed cover, micro wave, and small frig.
- AUBREY (2/5): Beds were disgusting. - The first room we were placed in did not have properly working locks. The manager asked if we could just come and get her when we needed in the room and she would let us in until it could be fixed the next day. She gave us a different room but the beds were smaller. We didn't complain. The sheets had a huge pee stain. We were able to trade but we shouldn't have had to. The bed covers were disgusting. There was a hole in the wall that was covered by a trash can. The place was is it gross and we form complain about hotels at all.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The room was decent, clean but definitely no frills. It's just a locally owned motel with friendly staff. We felt safe but definitely wear socks!
- Jessy (10/5): - the place is clean n the most important close to evrything. Every room has it owns parking space. staff really nice and courteous. really affordable and more $$ to enjoy everything. Destin is like 10 minutes away I'll HIGHLY recommend you leave 30 early cuz traffic at William T Marler Bridge IS INSANE.
- Tanya (8/5): - The room was newly renovated, the A/C was excellent, the outside looks a little older but it was clean. The room had mini fridge, microwave and nice tiled bathroom. Location was great for the price.
- Janice (10/5): - Immaculate room. Well furnished with beautiful bedding. Overall appearance superb.
- Sel (10/5): - It was a GREAT GREAT location of the hotel. We will be back again
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location close to the beach and entertainment and shopping , nice rooms and friendly staff
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A very good affordable hotel ,with nice rooms good experience and friendly staff and close to town
- Brandy (4/5): - The staff was friendly. But the room was horrible
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The comforters had holes in them from cigarette burns and my room was non-smoking. The mattresses were so old I practically sunk in them. It was a disgusting room and smelled horrible. The sheets were very scratchy. The traffic noise was awful. I cloroxed all the surfaces that I could, but it was still a nasty room. The lady that checked me in was nice. I will not even consider staying here again.
- Angie (8/5): - Close to beach, clean, quiet
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I needed modest accommodations and this place was perfect. The location to the beach and shops was great. Housekeeping was excellent each day.
- Nancy (10/5): Cozy and warm. - I would recommend this motel cozy and warm and the staff is friendly, thank you I enjoyed my stay.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Run down ghetto - Room was in a run down poor excuse of a motel. Nothing worked, water pressure sucked and never got hot, had to show out to get towels. Just a bad experience all the way around. Stay away !!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I will never stay there again room was to small bed were so hard the fridge was completely rusted out and just gross!!
