Guest Reviews
- FalkDanger (8/5): Clean Place - It‘s not a hip place, but you‘re near the markets, some bars and really good massage shops.
Rooms are clean and the staff tries to help you with everything. They even drown a map for us :-D
Only bad thing: The house is not really soundproofed, so you hear a little bit of other guests. AC was also working very well.
- lyndy23 (10/5): Best bed in Krabi town close to First Restaurant - This is an unassuming, family run guesthouse on 4 levels. Staff and management are welcoming and helpful. I stayed on level 4 with a view over Krabi town to Ao Nang. Room had a very good bed and great wifi, no fridge. Air con works well. Bathroom, towels and bedding all clean.
This guesthouse is a great choice for people who value peace and quiet and love Thai food which is close at First Restaurant on Chao Fa Road. Turn left out of Andaman Legacy and walk 200 metres towards river. First Restaurant is on opposite side of road near Pharmacy. Finest Thai food and great value. I’m a regular visitor to Krabi. I was given an early check in upon request and it was MUCH appreciated. Excellent value for $A20 on Agoda. Thank you to Andaman Legacy for a safe, clean and quiet place to stay. Request quiet room if you need total quiet. Rooms facing road can be noisy.
- Alexander (10/5): Fantastic hotel - Very good experience and extremely Nice staff! Only bad thing is that it was a but noise during the Night
- Verified traveler (8/5):
- Jarus (8/5): - Friendly hotel staff. Gave directions where to go. Offered tours as well
No Fridge, water kettle and cups.
Place was quite, 7-11 and night market near by.
- lyndy23 (10/5): Clean, simple place with friendly staff and good value rooms - If you need a good bed, clean sheets and towels, hot water showers and friendly Thai folks to ask questions of, well you've found a very good guesthouse. Rooms are not huge however my room was clean and quiet and air con worked well. Located close to all the great, authentic Thai city of Krabi offers savvy travellers. Night and morning markets are fabulous and First Restaurant 200 metres away towards river has brilliant Thai food and cold beers. Krabi is a gem and so is Andaman Legacy.
- senorita1992 (8/5): VALUE FOR MONEY GUESS HOUSE - It was a pleasant stay at andaman legacy guess house. Firstly, due to excellent staff perfomance. A receptionist named WOON is very friendly, helpful and efficient whenever we need her. Secondly, due to good location. This guess house is situated at krabi town, we can easily walk around to find food, massage place and shopping. It is only 15-30mins to Aonang beach. Super convenient. We find it hard to find local transport to go around. But WOON is always there to help, she always helped us to find one by call and the "tuk tuk" (local transport) will be there to pick us up by 5-10mins. Lastly, the room is comfortable especially family room. We also booked standard room with balcony, the only thing i dont like is the room is not sound proof. We can hear all the noise from the next room, walking, talking, closing of door from the outside, and also noise from the road....that's very irritating. The rest is perfect. We manage to stay here for 5 days 4 nights. If you would like to stay here, i suggest you to go for family room- can accommodate 4 peoples, spacious room and most importantly away from those noises because family room is at another bulding which is away from the other noisy guess and road. Stayed 9th -13rd Jan2016
- meghand152 (8/5): Good and cheap - It was a 5 min walk to town. The room was spacious and the shower was good (hot water!!). The third bed had been squeezed in but it was comfortable enough. Bed and pillows were great, for some reason our blanket was a bit damp but not damp enough to complain about to reception. The receptionists were great! Really lovely and helpful and couldn't help enough. Towels provided as well which was good. Only issue (which was out of the places control) was there was a snake on our doorstep. It swiftly departed but I was still a bit wary!
- Petsku83 (4/5): Mixed feelings - I stayed by myself in the family room at it was the last room available. It would be tempting to say the room was a bit `dump` but that would feel bad and it was not that bad. The room is far from cosy, there were holes in the wall and ants. But the bed was good and there was air conditioning. There was something wrong with the TV as the screen colors were screwed. Reception was friendly and helpful and they even lended me an umbrella when it rained.
- Business-hippy (6/5): Good for what it is... - Pay no attention to flashy photos of this property that you might come across. The reality is a lot more down to earth.
That said, it served as a solid 1 night stand after a late arrival at krabi airport.
+ 5 minute walk from airport shuttle terminus in krabi town
+ very reasonably priced at 5xx baht per night
+ good water pressure and hot water supply
+ comfortable bed
+ effective air con
- it's got an extreme "weathered" look and feel
- room quite small and not very functional
- bathroom floor a bit mouldy and sticky
It is what is and it worked for me.
- crazy-cat-lady88 (8/5): Excellent staff - Stayed here at the start of our holiday can not fault it. Room lovely and clean and bathroom the same. Very helpful staff, tbe receptionist could not have been more friendly, suggested things to do and helped orgainse our travel to next destination. Would definitely return.
- Frodur12 (2/5): Dreadful and psychotic staff - Room small but ok. Staff ruined the impression by having a tantrum in front of guests. I have never Seen such unprofessional behavior my entire life. Screaming, yelling, complaining about that guests ONLY wanted free thingys and not buy tours etc from him. I Will avoid the place like the plague from now on.
- rohits552 (10/5): Comfortable stay... Clean room.. Close to boat pier..very helpful staff. - I stayed for a day in Andaman legacy.. The room are very neat and clean and the Ac was worked well.. The hotel is on the main road and airport bus stops at the hotel only. It is also very close to the boat taxi pier from where you can go to Railey Beach.. The staff was also very supportive and helped me book a motorbike taxi in night because I had to visit the doctor due to injury in my right toe. No problem at all.. You can also book Krabi tour from three..
- Memma3121 (10/5): Great guesthouse - We've stayed here about 5 times now. For the price it is great value for money.
Beds are comfy; air con quiet and effective; clean room and bathroom for our stays; staff super helpful and friendly with great English; always happy to help with onward travel etc at the proper price. Sometimes you get hot water, sometimes not...it's 35 degrees it doesn't matter!
It's a great location 5 mins from bars, restaurants, massage shops and the pier. Fu bar down the street opens late. Easy 10 mins to town, night market etc. being up the road a bit means it's quieter.
A previous review says it's up a hill with no lights etc...it isn't! It's on the main Chao Fah road drag! Oh and 1 minute walk from where the airport bus drops you off.
Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Krabi town.
- phonograeme (10/5): Best service so far in Thailand - 6 of us had 3 rooms here and we all loved it. The room is basic but had one of the best showers on our trip so far. The location was great for plenty of food and bar options close by. Dropped laundry off and got it back early the next day. But best of all was the host chanon who was absolutely amazing. Everything we needed he took care of, from our laundry, recommendations of where to go, transfer to ton sai beach, transfer to koh jum and did it all with a smile and fun personality. Definitely our favorite host of the trip so far.
Would definitely recommend this option when in krabi town.
- 393steffenl (6/5): What you pay is what you get - A little hostel clove to city center. You can easily walk to down town. Close to other hostels and the area has a backpacker vibe. The rooms are on for sleeping but it's not a place you would like to spend time in during the day. It's a bit noisy and you can hear everything from 1st floor (stayed 2nd) Super friendly staff.
- Frallallero6 (2/5): One of the worst experiences - We were supposed to stay for 3 nights. The first room was quite dirty and we found cockroaches in the bathroom area so we were given an other room. The second room was still extremely dirty and had bugs everywhere, even on the bed, and the sink was severely leaking to the point that even washing one's hands was problematic. As soon as we informed the staff, the guy got nervous and started verbally attacking us, though to be ones the was the only rude staff member. We managed to get a two nights refund and left immediately.
I'd like to point out that I am a backpacker travelling though south-east Asia, I have slept in all kind of places including weird looking night busses and never felt the need to leave the accommodation.
- potato9765 (8/5): Doesn't deserve all the negative reviews - For what you are paying its good. Amazingly helpful, polite and smiley staff. Located near everything you want. Comfy beds with lots of pillows.
There was some damp on my ceiling. The aircon worked but smelled a bit damp. Only cold water in the showers. Still, id come back again
- dianak345 (10/5): Perfect location, great value for money - Stayed here for 1 night on the way to and back from Lanta - the hotel has perfect location - on the street where the airport shuttle bus stops you off/ picks you up, 5 mins from the old pier, also minutes away from the night markets and busy street with restaurant.
Very clean and nice for 600 baht (price the same on the spot or via booking.com) and staff was very helpful. One of the guys didn't speak much English but the girl was awesome - she advised us on the airport transfer times and costs and knew all the details!
- 276JAMES (10/5): Great value, would stay again. - Good:
-Good value for money at 600B
-The staff were kind and friendly and made me smile.
-Staff were very helpful, providing a map of the town showing restaurants and shops. Staff also organised my transfer to Phi Phi island for 300B including hotel pickup.
-Quiet neighbourhood, though 10min walk to market and restaurants.
-Only 2min walk from bus station, where the airport bus dropped me off.
Bad:
-Shower in my room was pebble-crete and looked a bit dark with mould.
- JanaLada (10/5): Great staff ! - We stayed in this hotel for tree nights and were very satisfed. Good location to all markets, to the city pier and to all atractions in Krabi city. Easy going to Railay Beach too. We met very kind and helpful staff there.
- johngH4696VC (8/5): Super cheap and well located - Excellent people that run this place. I had an issue with a booking for an excursion not booked through them, and she spent nearly an hour on the internet and phones to get it sorted. I belive her husband did the night shift and stayed up until we got our well and truly inebrehated selves back to the room, everytime he'd great us with a smile.
Highly recommend this place for both price and location. Thanks for looking after us!
Would definatley use again when in Krabi...
- 323jodiem (6/5): No huge complaints - Nothing bad about this hotel. It is decent location, the hotel arrange a shuttle straight into krabi town. However if you are one to go out, don't stay here as getting their by foot after a night out would be VERY SCARY. It is up its own hill with no street lights. Wifi is good in hotel, as is air con, bed isn't too uncomfy. Gives you free DVDs, a huge range in the lobby for the room which has a DVD player in it. The pool is very nice , however only has about 8-10 beds so if hotel is busy and weather is good you aren't guaranteed a bed. Also the kitchen to me didn't look that clean, we sat down to eat and saw all ants running under the place matts so ate out- But other than that, everything was good and would recommend it for those who aren't partiers.
