• hanna (7/5): Spacios but basic room with nice morning light, bring your earplugs though... - Lots of space in the room, clean bathroom, reception open 24hrs, elevator, modern and clean staircase, pleasant morning light coming through layer of plants outside of balcony, nice and polite stuff, quiet neighborhood, big and easy parking, few "7/11 type" shops 3 mins away. Quite basic, worn-out furniture furniture, no dim evening light, the staircase door is not soundproof at all (you can even hear people discussing at the reception), functioning but quite loud aircon. Overall missing the nice atmosphere shown on pictures. Wouldn't give 4 stars at all like Booking com is rating.

• damien (10/5): - I love staying here. Second time here. The pond and running water fountain and greenery set a peaceful ambiance. Large rooms and immaculate clean. Rio Monte is one of cleanest hotels i stayed. Pool has early morning sun and small gym has everything and is Air conditioned. I will stay again soon.

Rustige, niet touristische wijk, 30 min lopen naar Asiatic (westelijk) en Terminal 21 (zuidelijk).Goede prijs/kwaliteit. Anders dan aangegeven is het restaurant gesloten. In de naastgelegen straat zijn enkele supermarkten en eetkraampjes. De eetkraampjes zijn om 20.00 bijna allemaal gesloten. De buurt is rustig maar ook wat saai.

• Hector (8/5): Clean hotel but - Very clean hotel, comfortable bed, friendly staff, and guard at the entrance. Having to log in to the internet each time I came back. No restaurant in the premises. Lack of knowledge on the staff as to where to eat or how to get around. They are friendly, but have yet to be trained on tourism issues. I knew the area wasn't touristy from the start, I just wanted to explore it. The restaurant Up2U https://maps.app.goo.gl/9hkwoCrpUgLrxFnT7 tasty food in a clean setting, is about a 10' walk on the main road, Charoen. If they are not busy, they can motorbike you for free. Next to it, there's a massage parlor and other proper restaurants. Go to nearby Riverside Plaza with lots of food options, and money exchange, but not many fashion shops. From there you can continue to IconSiam. Alternatively, go to Asiatique to check it out, and to continue to IconSiam, take the water taxi. This is not a hotel you want to stay in if you are a first time tourist to BKK. You only stay here if you specifically have things to do in this neighborhood. Again the hotel is great, but not its location.
• Sophie (8/5): Wonderful little hotel at a gorgeous beach. If you want a quiet stay, - The hotel is beautiful and the staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. The steps leading straight down onto the sand in the beautiful Crystal Beach make for an extremely pleasant experience. Smoking in common areas like the pool area completely ruined my time at the pool. The girls next to me were chain smoking and for a non-smoker that’s a pretty disgusting experience. The pool/pool area are only small so there’s nowhere to move to avoid it so my pool time was over. I know it has been suggested before; making certain areas like this non-smoking would be fair for those who don’t want to breathe in other people’s smoke.

They did this twice so screw them and never will recommend this place because of this🖕

The pool and gym were spot on 😊👌🏻 It was a very comfortable start to my trip around Thailand. Tip for new arrivals from overseas: There was a large shopping centre close by next to the river. There is a AIS phone shop there where you can get a SIM card with unlimited data - 30 days - for 500thb. Way cheaper than getting one at the airport! And a special ‘thank you' to Pat at reception who I connect well with ✨

• Hasse (6/5): Beskidt og slidt - Jeg bookede dette hotel til min kæreste, der skulle på kursus i området, fordi det havde gode anmeldelser. Jeg ved ikke hvor de kom fra, for det var slet ikke hvad hun viste mig. Hotellet var beskidt, i sådan en grad at hun slet ikke ville bruge poolen. Værelserne var ikke pæne, men trods alt rengjorte. Service så hun ikke meget til. Sengene var gamle og slidte. Hotellet bar generelt præg af at være dårligt vedligeholdt og kun minimalt rengjort. Jeg er indforstået med at man ikke får luksus til denne pris, men som et af de få hoteller i denne del af byen, havde det været rart hvis der i det mindste var så rent at jeg kunne føle det havde været en god oplevelse at give hende. Næste gang vælger vi nok noget længere væk og accepterer længere transport til kursusstedet, for det er ikke gentagelsesværdigt.

• Alex (10/5): Exceptional - Loved everything. The only minor downside was the location. Very minor, in fairness as a cab or bike will get you into the thick of things. Value for money was right up there. Room was spacious and clean. Pool was great. On site gym, if you like that sort of thing and lovely tropical garden. Will 100% go again. Staff were fabulous. Didn't bother me, but location may not to be to everyone's needs.

Overall a nice place for a longer stay in Bangkok. The rooms could use some more furniture. Only one bed side table for a double bed. Also the balcony had no furniture so it couldn't really be used. Unfortunate since it's a very nice balcony.

Felt uncomfortable leaving or sleeping knowing the door cannot lock. No safe. The air conditioner seems to be blowing air that smells like damp clothes. We only booked for 1 night since we cut our time short in Pattaya and wanted somewhere close to Asiatique The Waterfront.

• Diane (8/5): Excellent place to stay if a bit out of town - We loved everything about our stay at The Rio Monte except the hassle of getting a cab back in the evenings. The location is great in a local neighborhood with many food options. The room was spotlessly clean. The pool was lovely. The property is full of trees and plants so you wake to the sounds of birds. The staff was friendly and helpful. Ordering a cab from the front desk to go out was no trouble but we struggled to find taxis to bring us back to The Rio Monte, many taxis told us it was too far or they didn't know the location. If you can deal with/work around this issue then this is a great option for you!

I DO ADVISE THOSE WHO STAY THERE BE PATIENT AND KIND TO THE CAB DRIVERS. ORDER CAB THROUGH RECEPTION IN THAI, ALWAYS TELL CAB DRIVER NO PROBLEM GO TOLL WAY! IT IS IN A AREA THAT IS NOT THE TOURIST HUB! 2 AMAZING TAKE AWAY OR SIT ON STREET THAI RESTERUANTS CHEAP GOOD CLEAN DELICIOUS! JUST ACROSS THE ZEBRA COSSING. THERE IS A TESCO LOTUS EXPRESS IN SAME ST SO,REALLY GOOD AS CAN BUY DRINKS SNACKS! FRUIT MARKET ALSO! I WILL STAY THERE AGAIN ! But pillows hard but that's my problem I have a bad back!
• Steve (10/5): Quiet, clean, peaceful ... and great pool! - Needed a place to chill out for a day or so before heading into the more touristy areas. I had a great time here, though. No restaurant at the residence, but there are a number of mom & pop snack and meal shops nearby, one that I frequented several times because the owner is a chef and his English was very good. And he and his wife were fun and jovial. Just the way to enjoy Thailand without being the everyday "fareng" on the streets.
• chirapha (4/5): The location that set on google map was wrong - Hotel is very hard to find and they pin the location wrongly, and totally bad location. The receptionist is re Bad and not helpful.
