Отель с видами на море , два бассейна , один из них на крыше с прекрасным видом . В отеле отдыхают китайцы , нет русских и тп . Публика приятная . Номер просторный , каждый вечер приносили тарелку с фруктами , свежие кокосы , вечерний сервис с тапочками . Море чистое , красивое , на пляже работает ресторан . В отеле красивый ресторан итальянской кухни , стоит поселить и получить визуальное удовольствие . До заселения в роузвуд были в Ритц Санья - печальный отель , старый , нет лоска и нет обслуживания возле бассейнов и пляжа , потом поехали в Интерконтиненталь , он лучше ритц , но тоже нет везде сервиса кроме оживленного лобби с баром . Не всегда удавалось поплавать в море , персонал запрещал , но можно отойти 100 м и плавать уже не запрещают . Не понравился ресторан Фишмонгер , заказала 6 блюд - все несъедобное , часто не было про бокалам некоторых позиций вина на всей территории отеля . Высокие цены на меню в ресторанах и барах по сравнению с ценами в других китайских городах .

- Daniel (1/5): - Dear Rosewood Sanya Management Team, I am writing to share my recent stay at Rosewood Sanya, which, regrettably, fell far short of the expectations one would have for a property of your caliber. Upon early arrival, I politely inquired about the possibility of early check-in. The staff informed me that the room was still occupied from the previous night and suggested I return in one hour. However, when I returned after one hour, I was told the room was not yet ready, with no estimated time provided. Ultimately, I waited an additional one and a half hours and could only check in at the original scheduled time. While I understand that early check-in is subject to availability, as a guest I would have greatly appreciated greater transparency and communication. Had I been clearly informed of the likely delay, I could have planned my time accordingly instead of waiting aimlessly at the hotel. Furthermore, upon receiving the key card, we were initially told the room was on the seventh floor. To our surprise, we arrived at a room on the third floor. When we inquired, staff explained that the seventh-floor room was unavailable due to a “technical issue,” but no further details were provided, leaving us feeling somewhat dismissed. While we appreciate that unforeseen circumstances can occur, the view and overall experience from the assigned room were significantly below what we had anticipated based on the information given. We subsequently requested a transfer to a higher floor and were told the front desk would look into it. Unfortunately, we received no follow-up or resolution. For a five-star property where nightly rates often exceed RMB 2000, I believe the level of service, communication, and follow-through demonstrated during my stay is unacceptable and does not reflect the standards Rosewood is known for.

- Andrea (9/5): Luxury vacation in Haitang Bay - Beautiful design and property. Big and comfortable rooms. Huge pools, roof top infinity pools and resort pools. Great breakfast. Not much to stay except for little things which could be improved. The big resort pool has 5 different entrances all around but all closed except for one. Doesn’t make access practical, also not for walking to the only bathroom outside. I am sure with several staff members the entrance could be controlled with at least two open entrances. Also it feels very uncomfortable to have to show the key card in addition to registering with room number and name in writing. The gym is 24h but there is only a check after 8 in the morning which means that each time I came in the morning there were either towels or water missing. All pools have no food or drinks excel for water which is a bit unusual for a resort.

- Justin (8/5): Very good - The interior design and room layouts were beautiful and luxurious, and a lot of the architectural detailing and style was iconic 'Rosewood' styled. As an individual couple looking for a luxurious stay in great comfort on Hainan Island facing the bay, this was a veritable steal. While the hardware was excellent, and the staff were friendly and super helpful, they all seemed to lack confidence in a way and were not as sure of how an encounter was meant to go. The building is also split between the hotel, and service apartments stacked above that you can only access from a separate entrance on the other side of the hotel, so in many ways this was only 50% of a Rosewood hotel..!

The staffs and service was perfect and so help to set my wife’s birthday. Santos and Huhu was just so kind and helpful for the entire stay . Highly recommend this hotel if you pass by Sanya , so far the best hotel I stayed in China !

- zuyuingame (10/5): Fabulous Hotel, Top-Class Services and Excellent Staffs - First time we stayed in this hotel after many times visiting Sanya. We booked the seascape ocean view pool room for 3 nights. The hotel designs are absolutely unique and we can feel the warm welcoming from the first step into the property. The room is big, tidy and clean, also fully equipped with all the premium qualities stuff. The infinity pool on 13th floor is the BEST pool we have ever seen in Sanya. With 180degrees stunning view of the ocean made us just so relaxing. The staffs at the pool are so nice and friendly. Special Thanks to Kevin (manager at the pool) and 前喜 for taking care of us the best, staffs at Hai Bar as well. The breakfast buffet is just WOW! and time for breakfast is so good, so we don't need to be rush as they serve till 11 a.m. "East Kitchen" food and services are excellent. Oh! you must try "Chop House" (三亚保利瑰丽酒店 . 炙), one of the best meal we had really ! everything was so great ! ( especially Seafood Soup, actually they should call "Seafood with Lobster Bisque" : highly recommended), Special Thanks to 小雪 from Chop House for an exceptional services and many thanks to restaurant for setting up the birthday theme for our friend too. Thank you so much for all smiles from the staffs (from the main entrance at 1st floor to 14th floor). We also love the DJ's music (They have every Friday to Sunday 14.30-17.15). He is such a great DJ! After all, we had an absolutely amazing holiday at Rosewood and we definitely will go back to visit again. Thank you so much Rosewood Sanya.
- JIMJIM1990 (10/5): The best of the best - A perfect stay all around. We were welcomed early and our room was ready with a wonderful balcony overlooking the sea as well as beautiful amenities. We loved the DJ at the bar in the evening and enjoyed all the different restaurants. The team was very helpful & kind, every time we returned to our room there were all sorts of surprises and we felt utterly spoilt! Thank you to the team for everything, we will be back!

The bar manager actually told us to go bleep our selves and tried to fight one of my friends. Never ever had this experience before in my life. Would. Not stay here again if my life depended on it.

Arrived about 40 min after the first entree. No knife to cut the steak, unseasoned. Too cold to melt the butter patty it was served with. Staff seemed totally confused.
- HKG013 (2/5): Disgusting Hotel - Terrible hotel, terrible customer service, terrible employees all over the floors. Tried two rooms, ( 902 and 602 ) , both came with broken HDMI connection from the wall to the tv and they all said it was 100% not a problem and if I wanted a better connection I should put my computer close to the bathtub as I could connect directly to the TV.... I mean... wtf ? 5,000 CNY a night to get told by some random dude to not use what should be mandatory in hotel which is a wall connection to the TV ? Yep sure.... then their next advice would be to do cold shower because hot water is broken ? Hotel amenities were mostly closed because that hotel is obviously cutting expenses to compensate with covid-19 impact on their booking. Which makes it an even more terrible experience. Let alone the fact that all the employees are not willing to solve anything .... and that their only opened swimming pool is filled with leaf... while they could be cleaning it quite easilly as it's probably only 150-250 squared meters..... and that there are 3 employees non stop by the pool... and no customers in the pool.... LAZY + Impolite. ALl the chinese app got similar feedback when it come to the service... "terrible employees".
- shangTor (2/5): nothing but hype - With so much hype and anticipation , this rosewood property just simply failed to deliver. Check-in: During the check-in, a lady, who looked like a seasoned professional, was supposed to put a pre-authorized charge (close to $3000) on my credit card (for security deposit ). Instead, she charged my credit card right away. Though I gave her credit for refunding me immediately after she realized the mistake, the oversight, which could have and should haven avoided, is still shocking given the caliber of the hotel. In-room amenities: The fridge is broken. I called operator, telling her something wrong with the fridge.- all the drinks in it were at room temperature. Initially I was told it was supposed to be like that. But I asked her again if this is really the case for their fridges, she told me she would send an engineer to check. After some “investigation” , the engineer concluded that the fridge was broken – some kind of heat ventilation problem, he brought in another fridge to replace the broken one. And later on, it turned out that one wasn’t working either. Service: The room I booked was a room with a pool. But given the weather, it’s pretty much useless. (As a matter of fact, I had been assured that by the hotel ( I called ahead of my arrival to check whether the pool temperature is suitable for swimming) I would be able to take advantage of the pool of the room. But who are you kidding?! With that, I decided to move to a non-pool room, which, I thought, might have a working fridge. No, it turned the fridge was (and it seems fridges in all the rooms) the still the same – room temperature - why bother with a fridge in the room ?? To add insult to the injury, the room rate initially charged was the “front desk” rate. Only after being presented with their own online room rate, the duty manager adjusted the rate – not before giving me some lame excuses. Meal: Terrible! Dishes my partner and I ordered at their EAST kitchen were so salty that we just threw our hands up The final nail in the coffin : Cockroach! On the morning of checking out, I found a cockroach on the bed. Speechless!!! This whole experience is such a letdown! I know we should never say never. But for this property, NEVER! Just a suggestion for those who still want to book this property for their vacation, don’t bother with panoramic ocean view pool room. the view is really underwhelming – much less impressive than what’s presented on their website!
- peteri_trip (10/5): Great time at a great hotel - Positive: - great service; I even don’t know who to highlight of them: the chef or the service guys at the breakfast, the nice guys at the Chope House or the friendly persons at the reception... I just felt very welcome. After some days the service welcome us with our names and they already were aware of our preferences, wow what a service! - really nice rooms; we had one with ocean view and the view was really amazing. Additionally, there was absolutely everything what you want within the rooms, and additionally the architect just did a great job - a really good job regarding the interior - you just need to arrive and you will feel happy! - the food; I highly recommend the restaurant Chop House - from my point of view absolutely high class food for quite fair prices - the service and the food?! A dream comes true... - beach side and Infinity pool; an amazing view in and amazing environment; you can take nice pictures and just enjoy the view and the landscape... - the music; the music?! Yes, in the restaurants, at the bar etc. they are playing everywhere really nice and chilled music - gym; the gym was very good; there is everything what you need for some holiday work out - there is also every time somebody for assistance! Could be a bit better: - it would be nice to have a small bar or maybe some places with shadow as well on the beach side, because the beach is too nice to miss it Remark: - the Sanya Bay is almost 45 / 50 minutes away - we were there during the corona time at the hotel while non abroad tourist where there.. maybe therefore it was also quite relaxed
- Feliptio21 (10/5): Great hospitality and with some sophisticated whining a few points for improvement - We stayed a whole week in two separate rooms with sea-view. The design of the rooms is very airy and very spacious for chinese standards with a generous amount of amenities provided in the room. In our room the bathroom was seperated from the toilet and the actual shower could be accessed from two sides (bathroom area and the livingroom). Furthermore, all rooms have a balcony with a small lounge, a minibar and a small office/sitting area and a bathtub in which you can overlook the hotels garden towards the ocean. The whole layout of the hotel is well-thought-out and one can find many great examples for the love for details. This beautiful luxury hotel offers an extensive garden towards the beach front. In the garden there are three stretch of water. One being a pond right after leaving the building with some lounges to relax and enjoy the landscapes. The others are the pools. One is a larger one in which one easily can enjoy swimming your lengths, whearas the other one is thought to be the family pool which has also parts with shallow areas for children to enjoy the water. It’s unique infinity pool (HAI) with bar at the rooftop of the hotel part of the whole complex provides stunning views. For this reason it’s also a very popular spot for asian want-to-be-influencer or KOL. Personally, the constant selfi-battle was at the beginning hilarious to observe, but soon got more than annoying. Everyone should be granted their picture of the really nice and stylish rooftop combined with the stunning view (yes I took a few myself too) but for some guests, especially the female counterparts, it was litterally a selfy-orgy. Even worse, apparently it’s possible to have professional photoshoots at the rooftop, which I considered very disturping and far from relaxing. I wouldn’t be able to tell in how many picutres I might appear. This might be my first suggestions for improvement: As a luxury hotel chain, something should be done to protect the other guests „privacy“ more carefully. I constantly was worried to be in someones frame, which can be very stressful when the hotel is booked. Other facilities included, SPA, gym, kids playroom. Myself I enjoyed the gym and this was a real gym and not just 1 treadmill like in other hotels I stayed in China. The gear is from a worldwide recognized manufacturer. The breakfast buffet was plentyful and varied every other day between Hainanese and European style. However, being 90% (or even more) of their guests are Chinese, there will always be Asian breakfast dishes, regardless of what cuisine. Eventhough the dishes within each cuisine seemed to be the same, the buffet was so plentiful, one had never to eat the same at breakfast. Compared to the rather typical tasteless buffet from other hotels the quality of the food was very high and was very delicious. Notably another example for the attention of details, the crockery wasn’t just a cheap chinaware. Most of the plates were made by Villeroy & Boch. For Lunch and Dinner there are two more restaurants on site. We tried all and every restaurant has the same standards. Meaning you will have delicious options for seafood, Asian kitchen and meat at „campus“. Certainly the dishes come at a certain price tag, but we never regretted it. As a wine lover, you can find a decent selection from wines (especially at Chop House) but also, unlikely to what we have experienced in China before, you get to tast the wine before you buy the glass, carafe or bottle. Not least, the staff received a proper training (international standard) how to present and pour the wine. All the staff in direct contact with guests is well trained, helpful and attentive. In the restaurants empty plates were cleared fast, even cleaning/gardening staff greeted the guests at the entrance you were welcomed back...all the small details that make you feel welcome. One day the housekeeping even folded tree pairs of trousers in our room we had left behind on a chair. Even the cord of my laptop or phone charger was properly coiled up when left open and unplugged (attention to details). However, the level of spoken English may vary. Nevertheless all staff did their best to communicate in English with international guests, even with translation apps or other means. Again this may be due to the fact that the main part of guests is form China. Throughout our stay I haven’t seen too many international guests (this is actually true for the whole Haitang Bay area) The Rosewood WiFi seems to be linked to an VPN and therefore, allows access to the usually blocked websites like Facebook, Gmail, Twitter and Google. Staying in this hotel no personal VPN is recquired to bypass censorship. However, the WIFI connection requires no PW, which for me is always a concern. At times it was a bit slow, but hey, holiday is to get away from your daily distress. Overall I highly recommend the Rosewood hotel in Sanya, as it did reflect the followed philosophy „A Sense of Place“. Even more it seems to be a hotel with a learning curve. Numerous complaints where (1) answered in a professional manner and (2) obviously dealt with in detail, as no such thing (whatever the complaint was) was present anymore. It was worth every penny, they might get not everything right, but will make sure it wont happen again. Alone based on that experience I would choose another Rosewood hotel in the future. points of improvement: -if bottled water, why not glass? -in the corridor of the room I could made use of a stool (I'm pretty certain I would have gotten one if I asked for it) -My wife used the Loofah once and after a couple of days it was replaced with a new one. Why not personalize as a memory for guests? -in general there are some ways to reduce even more waste
- Onlychouchou (10/5): wonderful journey - I stayed for 2 days in the rosewood hotel and have really enjoyed it. I have in particular appreciated the very hospitable and friendly staff(Danny), always ready to help out but also interested in engaging in some small talk which makes the stay so much more fun. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone spending some time in Sanya
- alibarbaraMilwaukee (10/5): Foodie Heaven - This was a beautiful luxury hotel with a view of spacious grounds and the waterfront. I loved the rooftop infinity pool and bar for lunch. The breakfast had multiple menu choices in addition to the plentiful buffet. Dinner at the restaurants was delicious and unique. Based on our experience here, I would choose another Rosewood hotel. The highlight was access to the chefs and the delicious foods. If you love seafood, this is a must try place. We had stayed at a different hotel in the area with tasteless overcrowded buffets so this was a refreshing change for about the same price. Included in our room package was a massage. It was a great experience- very calming after a day of sightseeing. The grounds make use of tropical plants and the large swimming area and fountains. I highly recommend this hotel.
- janesL850FV (10/5): Very nice! - Def my newest fave hotel in Hainan! The staff are all very nice and the hotel itself may not be as spacious as the other hotels nearby but all in all the food at chophouse and the seafood restaurant was good! (I liked how the staff was very alert, and even gave my toddler warm water instead of just room temp/cold water) (Better than my expectations) we stayed in the 180degree panoramic oceanview suite. But the fitness center is a bit simple perfect for maybe working out for a day or two but otherwise the machines arent as complete. The interior inside the suites are also top notch! But the wifi was terrible.

- Jay (10/5): - Although we have known the Rosewood brand for a long time, we were still surprised by the Sanya resort. We’ve been to Rosewood in London, Beijing and Tuscany and the Rosewood Sanya is a fantastic addition to the list! A big thank you to all the staff who provided a magnificent holiday experience for us. We didn’t leave the hotel for even one day and were very happy spending our days by the pool. The food is fantastic, especially the European restaurant which offers great steak with a perfect environment. Also we won’t forget the signature Negroni! The sky pool is truly an art piece and we spent seven days in and around the pool. The spa is a great way to relax after a long flight. Perfect hotel for couples to spend a lovely holiday together. A MUST GO HOTEL IN ASIA.
- Benjamin (10/5): Incredible hotel and staff. Look no further - Incredible hotel and staff. One of the nicest hotels I've had the pleasure of staying at. As always, there's a bit of a language barrier, but each member of their team tried their best, and was always quick to grab someone who spoke enough English to get by. Baris and Lawrence were very helpful throughout my stay. Service was on point from start to finish. I was here for about a week so I spent a lot of time comparing various hotels, and I'm really happy I ended up at Rosewood.
