- Stay41796631735 (6/5): A Bit Tired Look & Feel - Best part of hotel is the pool although limited number of lounge chairs. Lunch and dinner service is extremely slow, which makes no sense since almost everyone takes the buffet (maybe they all know not to order a la carte). Rooms are OK. Hotel use to have a shuttle for those who want to go to the beach but now you need to take a taxi.

- James (2/5): - Initially, Checkin seemed fine, but upon entering our room, we faced multiple problems: the air conditioner didn't cool the room, the refrigerator and television were malfunctioning, and internet connection was unstable throughout our stay. Contacting the front desk for assistance resulted in two staff members arriving. However, their presence felt unnecessary as one merely pressed buttons on the air conditioner remote, while the other exchanged a fridge with another that didn't work. After a technician could not solve the television problem, he stated he needed to inspect the server room and return later. Upon his return with another individual, my partner was lying on the bed. This staff member appeared distracted by my partner under the covers, spending an excessive amount of time looking at her rather than focusing on the task at hand. As a result, we found the experience unprofessional and uncomfortable, leaving us unwilling to recommend or return to this establishment. The unnecessary presence of multiple individuals and prolonged distractions raised questions about the service provided and left us with an overall negative impression.
- AK (6/5): - The staff seemed nice. The food that was available was subpar. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of space inside the room. What I did not understand is that there were two of us in the room but only one slipper, bathrobe, and one wash cloth, smart of me for bringing my own cloth. And for the days we were there I had to ask for them after the cleaning of the room was done. No iron and iron board available, keep that in mind. Checkout should have been a breeze this morning, all fees were paid for, staring at the screen for a while then pulling out the POS device was questionable.
- techwill (8/5): Comfortable - Very sparse amenities (single use) that were not replenished. Buffet breakfast was good with a decent variety with both Ghanian food and regular breakfast stuff like omelets, cereal, fruits, etc. Bed was comfortable. No iron in room but ironing service was available for a very decent price, very cheap. Room was large and spacious with a nice view of the pool. Overall I had a comfortable stay.
- I1918EUloriw (2/5): 2024 1-STAR HOTEL EXPERIENCE AT ROYAL RIDGE HOTEL - 1 - STAR HOTEL - Traveled (single occupancy) with a Tour Group. Stayed awake all night in this hotel's room after arriving late evening: 1) Walked into a dim lit, COLD room, unable to set A/C controls; 2) There was already a housekeeping room key cd in the wall's power box upon entrance; 3) A Welcome Ltr on the bed re Pool Closure Alert; 4)deadbolt door lock did not go into the door frame...went to front dest & was told not to worry b/c I was safe in the hotel; 5) Returned to the room, my door key cd was deactivated...went bk to fron desk, bellman's Master Cd did not open...he had to get maintenance to use their master key; 6) Bathroom Lt dim (1 of 2 bulbs wk'g @ the mirror); 7) Massive mirror black stain 1/2 size of mirror; 8) LARGE UNDERWEAR HANGING ON THE BK OF THE DOOR; 9) Sheet on bed not corner tucked b/c wrong size & just laying on top mattress under the spread, mattress was a dingy used-yellowish... 10) Front Lobby bamboo room-divider hold'g a poster up w/ a safety pin; TOOK PICS & Showed Them to Front Desk, & Management; 11) Gen Mgr had my Trip's Tour Guide to compensate me with $20 of Ghana's Currency!!!

- lvp281 (8/5): Nice place in Cape Coast - Nice small hotel near all of the attractions of Cape Coast. The staff was very nice. I truly enjoyed the bartender he was very friendly. The power went off a couple of time however the backup generated kicked right in. I would stay again if I ever go back to Ghana.
- Yvonne (2/5): - I was traveling with a friend and requested 2 twin beds, their standard double room. However when we arrived they had gave us a room with 1 king size bed and the room was moldy. We were told that they could move us to another room but we have to settle for one bed. They suggested that we should go to dinner and they would move us while we dined.. That did not happen, we were forced to to wait for the new room, and this new room did not have a working AC. At 12:30 AM the next morning, we were placed in a room with working AC and one bed. My main issue was not the mishaps but the nonchalance of the staff. No phone call to apologize or an attempt to compensate in any manner.

I enjoyed my stay and will always recommend when ever to you go to Cape Coast

- jilltoveb (6/5): Ok but no luxury - Clean rooms and nice staff. Beautiful hotel and area and convenient location. Food was a bit overrated. Breakfast has lots of warm foods, a bit of fruit and white bread but not much more. Dinner was also ok but nothing more. Wifi extremely poor and unreliable. The pool was very dirty and often closed for maintenance. Generator that kicked in on power shutdowns made our window rattle very loudly and it was hard to sleep with that noise + noise from the generator itself. But that is understandable I guess and the power was reliable because of the generator. Windows towards pool area let through a lot of noise too which could be a problem in the evenings. Cleaning staff tok our towels away but mostly forgot to give us new ones. At one point the reception gave our room to someone else who suddenly walked in when we were there - the hotel apologized for the mistake but this is really critique worthy. Generally ok hotel but not the luxury it is often presented as.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice place - Rooms are nice and in good condition. Beautiful garden. Not a lot to do in the area but there are poolside parties on some evenings. Staff is very friendly. The food is just okay. Breakfast was a little bland. The poolside menu was good. The chicken burger is mostly bread but the chicken club sandwich was better. Great place to relax if you’re not looking for much to do.

My room toilet had to be repaired 3 times after the flushing mechanism continually stopped working. Staff unconcerned. Corridors, public areas minimally/no air conditioning. Stingy with linen/towels. Another in my group's room, the air conditioning didn't work. Blanket/coverlet very short (I'm 5'1"). Advice - Come from Accra to see the slave castles/forts on a day trip. Sleep in Accra.

- 144keziahd (2/5): Very terrible - The manager of ridge royal was very rude… my friend and I wanted to use an open elevator for a birthday photo shoot so the manager asked one work to assist us to the last elevator because there was a full house occupancy and so we did follow him…but when we got there the elevator wasn’t working so we asked the guy what was wrong, then he said it was spoilt so it’s not in use. He left us after saying thinking he was going to report this at the front desk..we waited and waited he ddnt come ( service failure ) so we decided to use the next elevator for some mins.. people(white people ) passed and passed nice comments but this white people I think got angry and walked to the front desk and reported this issue… the manager got angry and the started yelling at us from a distance as if we were stubborn people( saying he told us not to use this place so why did we do so, he was stressed already and that we’re adding up…he ddnt even want to listen to our reasons) so I asked him if we were also white would he have talked to us that way , that when when he got furious and started exchanging words with me…little did he know I work with Ghana Tourism Authority

I left my ipad in the room by mistake when we checked out and one of the staff kindly placed it with my luggage which was being stored for collection later in the day. Giving 5 stars for that alone as honesty like this is rare these days!
- cjkranz (4/5): Not Fun - The service is extremely slow, the rooms are very hot and for some reason the DJ blasts music every night. I also don’t like that the rooms are open to the public, I.e. very little security. The breakfast was really bad. Flies and dirty food. The egg chef made things better but still not great. The coffee was incredibly gross too. Hotel management was also not helpful. We heard other rooms had bed bugs.

- Ransford (6/5): - I always stay at this hotel when I visit Cape Coast, infact it is one of my best hotels in Ghana. This stay was a bit different. The toilet wasn't clean, the TV was broken and there was no hot water running . I reported this to the receptionist and I was assured the maintenance team will work on it, but nothing was done. Overall it was an okay experience this time. I hope the hotel management will inspect all rooms before checking in clients. Royal Ridge, you can do better than this.

- MaureenJohnso (8/5): Really enjoyed the Ridge Royal. December 2021 - I really enjoyed the Ridge Royal. General Manager, Samuel Adua and his staff provided exceptional hospitality for our large group. Rooms were very nice, clean. The restaurant had great breakfast. If you are looking for accommodations as an individual or a group, I highly recommend. Great meeting and conference space is available with audio visual and wifi. The location is close to historic sites and downtown for shopping, ATM, etc. Getting around is easy, as Taxis are available or private drivers can be arranged by the hotel. Great pool area with bar, dining and entertainment area. Most of all the best part is the people, the people, the people!!!!

- Robito64 (8/5): Not Bad for 3 Stars! - This is a three star hotel in Cape Coast, and for a three star hotel it's not bad. The room was large, and I believe all rooms have a balcony that face the pool, so the view is nice. The mattress on the bed was comfortable, but the towels and linen were old and over used. The room was mostly clean, but they have a rug in front of the bed that they don't vacuum regularly. They have a restaurant that serves both a buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and you can also order a la carte. I thought the quality of the food was alright, but the service was horrible. The staff is slow, and they don't pay too much attention to you. They seem to be busy doing something, but you can't figure it out coz they all seem to be hanging at the reception arguing over something. Generally the service at this hotel was below average, even for a three star hotel.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - This was hands down one of the best hotels I've ever stayed. The room was awesome and the staff was very professional. The only problem I had was that the pool was not prepped for use in the morning.
- MergesTheSky (4/5): 4 star prices, 3 star facilities and amenities, 2 star food and service - We stayed in one of the free-standing villas. The villas are on a well-manicured ground adjacent to the main hotel. Our room had nice furniture, was comfortably laid out, and was a nice size for a family. However, the air conditioning was weak and the room was visibly dirty, with lizard poop in several spots around the room. The hotel is large and has more services and amenities than other options in the Cape Coast area. It is a convenient base for trips to Cape Coast Castle, Kakum National Park, and other attractions, but it is not on the coast and the views and are nothing spectacular. The restaurant is disappointing, with a basic menu (pizza, hamburger, club sandwich, etc.), slow service, and low quality. The pool is a bit better, but doesn't compare to the pools of hotels at similar price points. Service was poor; I felt like I was bothering hotel employees when I requested services or asked questions. Few employees wore masks. Sometimes employees didn't know the answers to basic questions (i.e. the restaurant couldn't say what was on the menu).
- NONKULULEKO (10/5): Lovely hotel in Cape Coast - Great hotel in Cape Coast. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast spread was good.
- niiamahd (8/5): Beautiful Cosy and Quiet - The rooms are clean bedding fresh and comfy. The WiFi works well and can sustain a meeting on Teams. All covid 19 protocols are practiced. The only downside is the disinfection gismo installed at the entrance that surprised us on arrival it was very spooky. Breakfast lacked variety but for the prices of the rooms which were quite high.
- Bernhard (6/5): Improvements are necessary - The hotel is not bad. The service had been bad. The rooms are nicely furnitured, the beds are very good and the bath shall be maintained a bit. The arragements of the hotel are nice and it looks well cultivated even outside. We had a business dinner at the restaurant. The menue is under the 4 star level. We ordered the food and it took more than 90 minutes!! The servants are really not trained enough for this kind of hotel. Our guests told the servants (when they had been around....) to pack the food after one (1 !) hour... When the food came they delivered me a wrong meal.... OK...Cape Coast. OK... Africa. Management: PLEASE TRAIN YOUR PEOPLE. PLEASE. This does NOT fit with your charged prices. The servants beside the restaurant are not trained enough as well. But you can stay well in the rooms. All my employees enjoyed the stay beside the servants. I am not so sure, if we should book this hotel for our next stays again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nicest hotel in Cape Coast - This is probably the nicest hotel in Cape Coast, and because of that I would stay here again, but had a couple incidences that were not ideal. I asked to be put in a quiet room. I was a single female traveling alone so made SURE my door was locked. I was going to sleep around to a lot of noises going on (it didn't really sound like other guests). Anyway, the door opens to my room, and I loudly say hello and then a man apologizes and exits. I'm freaked out that someone can get into my LOCKED room. So I get up to go talk to the front desk. The man is in the hall, and is a worker working on the a/c ( IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT)- by the 'supposed quiet room'. He said the hotel gave him a list, my room was on the list, he assumed it was empty, the key card let him in. I said so your key card can override my lock? That is NOT ok. They don't have the usual chain/bar lock only deadbolt, but this deadbolt turns 360 in either direction for as long as you want to turn it. Anyway he explained to me that horizontal is LOCKED and vertical is unlocked. I had turned it 180 vertical to vertical so it was unlocked. He obviously meant no harm, and was super apologetic, but you can imagine my adrenaline at this point. The hotel is a bit away from town so I asked for a taxi, and no one seemed to know how to get one there, or at least not quickly. 5 minutes later I walked down to the main road to get one. I still think it is safe and amenities are good. Would stay again like i said
- gingerdad1 (4/5): Really disappointed - What can I say of all the hotels we’ve stayed in Ghana this has to be the most disappointing. Arrived to find the pool - a main reason we choose this hotel closed for new equipment. Surely they could have sent an email warning of this. It’s one of the most expensive hotels in the area so really not good value for money. Bar - even though they have a proper coffee machine all they can supply is Nescafé. Restaurant- menu is okay a disappointing lack of local food to choose from and the printed version is more greasy spoon than expensive hotel. Most the staff are okay some just rude. Safe in room didn’t work was replaced by placing another one on top. They did screw it down eventually. The balcony door didn’t lock properly and found the end to be open we did wonder why we had got bitten more here. Overall if your looking for a great hotel on the cape coast this isn’t it.
- ES197 (2/5): Ridge Royal Hotel Treats Guests Disrespectfully - The front desk staff at Ridge Royal Hotel treated me, my spouse, and my elderly parents disrespectfully. The hotel initially refused to honor the reservation for all inclusive meals made through Booking.com, and the front desk manager Francis accused us of lying, and falsifying our reservation confirmation and the Booking.com webpage, and only honored our reservation after a call to his general manager. At check out, the front desk staff failed to correctly charge us, and hunted us down and had us ejected from a bus, and our bus tickets confiscated, so that hotel staff could come to the bus station to fix their error. Booking.com told me that hotel staff could have corrected their error electronically rather than embarrassing us by having us kicked off a bus. Passengers at the station asked what we had done wrong to be removed from the bus. My 78-year old mother, who has a knee injury and could not easily get on or off the bus, is still talking about how humiliated she felt to be treated so dishonorably like a criminal. No hotel should treat elderly guests or any guests in such a disgraceful manner. I received no responses to my attempts to privately share my experiences with the hotel, so I have resorted to social media to ask Ridge Royal Hotel to treat guests with respect.

- Michelle (10/5): The best hotel in all of Ghana! - This is honestly the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at...world wide. The service is impeccable! From the warmth I received from when I arrived to when I was leaving was amazing. The staff is so lovely and patient. They helped us get taxis and showed us some good places to visit. The hotel itself is beautiful! Our room was so large and comfortable. The food was great! Everything about this hotel was amazing. Any time I come to Cape Coast, I will have to stay at this hotel. There’s nothing like it!

- Verified traveler (10/5): Luxury - Great, beautiful hotel. Our a/c didn't work properly and some bulbs were burnt out, which the bellboy knew about but didn't get fixed. Otherwise, great!
- Siera (2/5): - DO NOT STAY HERE. The staff are rude. Money was stolen out of my room by the housekeeping and the facilities are just a façade. The property appears to be nice on a service level, but once you actually check into your room you will quickly see that the property was hastily constructed and many things in the bathroom simply fall apart. There is no hot water and the water streams out of the shower onto the floors because they did not properly seal anything during construction. There are many other guest houses in Cape Coast for a fraction of the cost that are much nicer. Don't be deceived by the pictures you see online. I stayed at this property for a week for work and it was overall a horrible experience.
- E (10/5): Great Place To Escape To - Great service overall. I had a flat tyre the day after arrival and the security guards helped me sort it out. Staff didn't pester me for money, unlike some other hotels. Only thing I'd mark you down on is the food variety. I was expecting more local variety.

- Nancy (10/5): The best choice in Cape Coast. - The Royal Ridge is a welcome addition to Cape Coast. The location, looking over the beautiful city of Cape Coast is perfectly chosen. The staff was warm and responsive. The room lovely. Great pillows! Dinner in the restaurant was delicious, albeit they had run out of our first choice. The grouper and chicken were well prepared and tasty. The breakfast buffet was awesome. We loved our short stay.
- D (10/5): - Beautiful facility and well manicured gardens. Francis went above and beyond to assist with details and our area transportation. We will definitely stay there again when in Cape Coast and Assin. Excellent restaurant.
