Guest Reviews
- Irene (10/5): - Received clean linen for bed, there was a quilt & pillow. The receptionist very warm & friendly, I had 2 room mates, who I did not know before, which helped with feeling of being safe, form male predictors. We all attended the same conference. There was some one to have conversation with, & go shopping with. The atmosphere was vibrant
- Abbie (2/5): - DO NOT STAY HERE. I’m trying to get my money back from the hotel because it was horrific to the point it almost made me sick. I put on my reservation I wouldn’t be there until 12 due to my flights connections turns out you can only check in between 1&3. What even is that?!? So on night 1 of my two night stay I had to buy a last minute hotel.
Night 2. This is the most horrrific view I’ve ever seen, I checked in at one dropped bags off and then went to concert didn’t make bed since I didn’t need to. I returned from concert ~12 and started to make my bed to my absolute horror I found bed bugs EVERYWHERE all over the bed, in plug sockets, (speaking of the room I stayed in didn’t have any apart from where the fridge was plugged in) the wardrobe and on the floor. Reception wasn’t open when I arrived so I had no choice but to leave the hotel AGAIN and find last minute accommodation. It needs to be a 24hr reception and the general cleanliness of the hotel needs to drastically improve. I’m immunosuppressed and on life support because all of my medicines were left on my bed that’s left me without access to the medicines I need to function and has forced me to throw them away. Disgraceful. Looking at other reviews too it seems to be a place for homeless to stay. If you’re looking for a hostel in Stockholm generator is where I stayed for the two nights I was in Stockholm and it was brilliant. DO NOT STAY AT HOSTEL BY BROMMA unless you like bed bugs!!!
- Alexander (6/5): If you have more money, book a hot shower. - I would have liked to have a hot water shower and more bathrooms per floor, and a little more ventilation inside the room.
- Alexander (6/5): - .
- Luuk (2/5): Worst stay ive had in my life - Not only was there clearly piss stains on the walls, the matrasses were probably bought second hand from soviet labour camps in the 1960’s. Not to mention the doors are not even numbered, so trying to get out for a piss in the disgusting excuse for a toilet means you might have a hard time getting back to your disaster of a room.
- Abbas (2/5): Not recommended at all - It was horrible
- Khaled (10/5): - Very good hotels i like it
- Patrick (2/5): WORST CRAP PLACE I HAVE EVER SEEN! - The whole place looks like a prison or refugee camp. Dirty and run-down. Bad lighting. Nothing to cook with in the kitchen. Only 1 toilet for men on the entire floor. Nobody cares about rules such as no eating in the rooms and keeping quiet after 10pm. Weird people making noise and treatening if you ask them to be more quiet. I payed for 3 nights but left after 1. Complete hell-hole.
- Verified traveler (4/5): old and rooms of improvement - Guests and Staff there are friendly and good, however there are rooms of improvement.
1st Hygiene and cleanness, the toilets and bathroom here is not clean, paper towel everywhere even stuck the toilet and cannot flush. My room is ok but my friend's room is smelly and dim and the bed is very old and soft.
2nd Facilities, the water supply is not good, sometime even stop water during shower. The stoves are sometime dose not work well or even unusable. Some ceilings are collapsed, some hangs and tissues holder or doors are broken in the bathroom. The lift is tricky and risky.
3rd Environment, sometimes someone play the music very loud in the mid-night , it is very hard to get sleep. Some places is in dim and old. However some wall are painted creatively.
4th Communication, the staff are friendly but somehow I think the hotel should create a system to notice guests that the passwords of front door is changed instead of let us waiting outside and need us to call them to ask for the new passwords or told be other guests. Also the reception is not 24 hours active so it is very difficult to find someone help or check in and they need us to call them when we need something or want to check-in, this is too bad, and how if the guest has not have a phone card yet ?
As a hotels nearby airport should be more delicate and costumer focus.
- Nordea (2/5): Ghetto in Stockholm - Smutsigt överallt.
- Verified traveler (6/5): If you know what you want. - This hostel is a different place. There are some things to consider before you decide to live here, mainly what you want. It is more than affordable, especially for Stockholm. But you do pay for what you get.
Just now it seems to be under dual usage both as a hostel and immigration housing. There certainly is a lot of live in this outwards-sterile industrial building. Everyone I met was very nice. The one staff member I met was very nice as well. Had to wait a bit for the checkin, as he was out getting groceries, but not a long wait.
The rooms are hostel standard. The sanitary facilities are subpar at best. Now, if what you seek literally is a roof over your head and a working shower, this is the place for you. If you have lived in 5star hotels before and are thinking you can do without concierge-service for 1 night... stay away.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Really bad - Wow, this was really bad. Like a refugee camp. Dirty, had to haggle to get sheets, messy kitchen with no supplies whatsoever. Stay away.
- Joel (4/5): - kan inte sova folk stör en. Skräpigt och får ofridskänsla
- jan (8/5): New hostel in ex-industrial building - The hostel is in an ex-industrial area, so nothing interesting nearby at night. However, shopping center is nearby, Bromma airport is nearby, and Sundbyberg with a few pubs and even discos is nearby, walking distance. Public transport is good. The hotels in newly-opened, so the renovated building is ok, nice, rooms are large, facilites good. Even a fitness center, for a hostel. I stayed in shared room, the hostel does not have private rooms. Free parking. Easy access by car. Easy access by public transport. Though not the place to stay, if you want to step out in the historical city center. Good price/perfromance ratio.
- CS (4/5): Only if you have nowhere else to go. - I chose this hostel in the last minute due to a change of plans. Located in a remote corner of Stockholm in the midst of warehouses, the place is hard to find even for Google Maps. A converted warehouse, there's lots of empty space and a n enthusiastic manager but little else to cheer. The low price point attracts such crowd and overall the place looks run down although just a year old. The skeletal crew is unable to meet house keeping chores and rooms and toilets are littered around. Check in was a problem since the hostel seems to prefer take cash on arrival rather than online payments. So overall, prefer this place if you are short on budget and have no where else to go.
