Guest Reviews
- Gina (10/5): - Check in was a breeze and the gentleman working the front desk was incredibly personable and welcoming.
- john (10/5): - Hotel was in a great location with shopping and multiple restaurants within walking distance. We had no problems parking or checking in. We had a suite on the second floor and room was full great. We enjoyed the extra space of the separate sitting area and bed was comfortable.
- Owen (10/5): - The placement of the hotel and spaciousness of the rooms is phenomenal
- Christopher (10/5): - Clean room and friendly staff.
- Ronnie (10/5): - Perfect staff
- Garrison (8/5): - Clean but a little dated. Parking issues with v small lot under building- remainder in lot across the street. Well located in walking distance to lots of dining. No breakfast available in hotel, no coffee in lobby.
- Jennifer (8/5): - Great location and friendly staff. The TV in the rooms are smaller than most desk monitors. Because this is in the heart of the downtown area, onsite parking is limited. Check-in early to secure one of the onsite spots. Overflow cars are given a spot in the parking deck across the street which is easily accessible.
- Michelle (10/5): - The location is incredible and the staff are excellent!
- Anthony (2/5): - When we arrived the lobby was completely torn up due to water damage. Ceiling was open to air out, main area closed off, front desk closed off et..There was a small table by the elevator to check in. There was no housekeeping staff anywhere that we could find. We couldn’t even get coffee for the room coffee maker. No beverages anywhere. There was no working ice maker in the hotel. We checked in Sept 5-7. The hotel water pipe burst was Aug 6th. They had plenty of time to notify us of the condition of the hotel. It was reserved for several months. The hotel did not inform us in any manner as to the condition before we checked in. I paid over $800 for the room and had nowhere else to go on game weekend. This was false representation as the website still showed it in its normal state. No email/phone notifications of the building being under major repair with limited to no service available.
I’m a frequent visitor of Blacksburg and have stayed here before and enjoyed it. That will never happen again. I advise others to stay away from this hotel until it’s fully repaired, they update the rooms and add typical amenities. They could have apologized and offered a discount off the room, but there was no attempt at all. I will be surprised if they will stay in business much longer, other people were upset too. With even a partial refund, I’d consider staying there again after construction is completed due to its prime location. But it feels they’re taking advantage of that.
- Wendy (10/5): - Great location
- Lori-Ann (10/5): - Staff was very welcoming. Hotel was charming. Able to walk to everything. Parking included.
- Brett (2/5): - We had a reservation for 2 nts. Found out they were closed due to water main break, upon our arrival after driving 6 hrs. Was never notified and I cannot get in touch with staff to confirm that our prepayment for the 1st night will be refunded. .
- CHIH LUNG (2/5): - Our reservation was canceled by the hotel due to a pipeline issue, which caused flooding at the hotel. Due to the cancellation, we had to find another hotel to stay. We had requested the hotel to refund us the payment, but they were no responsive and Expendia wasn't able to do anything about it. We weren't able to get our money back. Worst service ever.
- Maria (10/5): - Stayed here in July 2025. Perfect location in downtown Blacksburg. Bars, restaurants, shopping all in walking distance. Room was clean and spacious.
- Patrick (6/5): - Seriously, 24 inch tvs in the room is the best this hotel can do these days? My monitors for work are bigger. It was disappointing in college town
- Richard H (2/5): - No manager, no services, no clean towels, elevator broken, filthy carpet, no soap, no coffee, broken TV, filthy toilet room, broken lamp & alarm clock, room change made little difference.
- Mark (10/5): Main Street Inn is wonderful - Main Street Inn lies in the heart of downtown Blacksburg. The rooms are quiet and cool, which is wonderful given the hot weather when I stayed. You walk out and you’re right in the heart of downtown, minutes away from The Lyric or Virginia Tech. The staff were nice and friendly. I stayed three nights, and I never had an issue. It’s a great place to stay if you want to be in the heart of Blacksburg
- James (8/5): - Very convenient and clean
- chunyingl2018 (10/5): Grace - I will definitely stay at this hotel again if I visit Blacksburg. It’s in a great location and offers a cozy, comfortable atmosphere. The front desk staff were also very friendly and welcoming.
- Debra (4/5): - Good location for VTech. Front desk help was not helpful. My card key didn't work and when I called for assistance, she told me to come back downstairs to fix the card keys. I had my luggage and my brother's luggage that I didn't want to leave unattended in the hallway nor did I eant to struggle to get it all back downstairs. My brother was unavailable because she sent him across the street to park the car in an overflow lot because she wanted to keep the spaces on site open for repairmen coming in the morning. Her attitude was less than welcoming and unprofessional. Room was poorly lit, and the curtains were falling off the rods. Doorframe was bent which made room door difficult to close completely. Mattress in my brother's room was too soft and lumpy.
- Anne (10/5): - Front desk staff was very friendly.
- Wayne (10/5): - Nice
- Tour01820667811 (6/5): Location, location, but no Frills - There are both pros and cons for this property. It has potential, but needs investment. First the cons, no remote for 1 of the 2 tv's. The missing remote was for the tv in my bedroom which was the one most needed. The other remote had batteries that were corroded. I obtained new batteries at front desk and cleaned out the remote so it would work at no charge. I had to change channels by getting out of bed and pressing the buttons on back of tv. This could easily be fixed by going to Walmart and obtaining a Universal Remote for $11. The rooms are dated and need update. They also smelled damp and musty. No breakfast included, nor do they have space to have one.
Pros, front desk was accommodating and friendly. Ample parking was available, plus they had a safe and iron in the room. Beds were very comfortable as well as pillows. Air conditioner was much more quite than most hotels. They will all make some sound since in room. Theirs was very tolerable. Location was downtown and part of VT campus. Near many restaurants and bars within walking distance.
- Mark (10/5): The place to stay in downtown - I love this hotel because it's clean, quiet, and right in the middle of downtown. Restaurants are steps away, and the Huckleberry Trail is close by, as well. The staff is friendly and the rooms are always clean and comfy. The bed was very comfortable and so were the pillows, which weren't too soft as hotel pillows sometimes are. It's a great place to check out Blacksburg.
- Katherine (10/5): - The staff was very friendly and helpful. I love the special care the cleaning staff took to ensure I felt welcomed.
- Mary Kate (4/5): - The Main Street Inn is in a great location but the rooms are looking worn. They need a good deep cleaning and dusting. The rooms are also very dark and air conditioners loud. The partying at the house next door was soo loud!
- Petey279 (2/5): Bad and unclean - We were very disappointed in the room/Inn given the price we were charged. We were knew to the area and booked here and once we saw other reviews we wished we had not. The room was dirty and dark. The towels were all stained. It was gross. The extra blanket to be used on my son's pullout sofa was dirty and dusty. They provided us the tiniest bar of soap. We couldn't wait to get out of there. It's not clean and needs an overhaul. When we left a day early the woman at the front desk never inquired and was playing a game on her phone. The place is gross.
- Kristen (10/5): - Charming hotel at the heart of Blacksburg within very short walk of VT. Great place to stay for a quick weekend. Comfortable bed, very clean!
- nicholascV8668GM (6/5): Weekend at the Inn 😩 - The only ice maker for the hotel was out of service. There were No accommodations made for the outage. Only 1 out of 2 TVs worked and that was with the switches on the back of the TV, the only one remote did not work.
On the weekend, there are no assistance from the front desk or a manager available. What ever is wrong with your room, you get what you get!
Very disappointed.
- Esther (6/5): - The suite is dark and dingy looking. The bedroom is very small. There is no sound proofing. There was no house keeping during my 3 night/4 day stay. No maintenance available to fix burnt out light bulbs.
A coffee machine only for breakfast.
Two of the receptionists were friendly but they are at the
front entrance.
Not worth the price.
- Dara (6/5): - The property was average, not horrible, not excellent. There was a weird sound throughout the night that sounded like a hand drill. Other than that it served its purpose. Best part was the walkable proximity to town and campus.
- P2363NQsaraht (4/5): Parents Weekend at Blacksburg - Definitely gone down hill since our last stay. Similar to other reviews there are issues with the TV, cleanliness, not enough light in the room because our window looked into a wall- need to add a lamp. No soap in the shower.... staff seemed disinterested...but location location location is still on point.
- Lynn (8/5): - Ice maker has been out as long as I have been visiting VA Tech which is 4 yrs. No gym and they give you tiny bar soap and no tissues. Little amenities available. Location is great and parking convenient even though across the street.
- sharonsN3602WQ (6/5): Not Good - Strange and disappointing experience. Great location as always but the property has gone downhill. Not very well maintained. When we checked in we were told we could not park on property so that they could save spaces for staff. They said we had to park across the street. They paid for this but it seemed backward. Shouldn’t staff park across the street? When we acted surprised we were told that it was a college town and it was football season. It’s March and it was not an event weekend of any kind. Then the TVs in our room were extremely old and small. We had one remote for two TVs and neither TV was working. The front desk person came up and showed us how to retune the channels. It was like being in the 1980s again. Seriously I had a better tube TV than these. We got one TV working. Horrible picture. Not what one would expect in this day and age of super cheap smart TVs. Although we do love the location and have fond memories of this Inn we definitely won’t stay here again.
- Chantel (8/5): - Outdated but convenient.
- Irene (10/5): - We love the whole stay. Location, cleanliness, ambiance and staff was great.
Heater was a little noisey
- Scott (10/5): - The Main Street Inn is in the heart of downtown Blacksburg, so one can easily walk to many restaurants, the Virginia Tech campus, Lane Stadium, and Cassell Coliseum. The staff are super nice and everything is clean and well maintained. Our room was on the small side and furnishings were a bit dated. So the room is not a great place for hanging out except for the solo traveler. But, there is much to do outside of the inn.
- Vacationer792882 (10/5): Great location in downtown Blacksburg, VA - The Main Street Inn is in a great location in the heart of downtown Blacksburg. Downtown restaurants, the Virginia Tech campus, Lane Stadium, and Cassell Coliseum are all within walking distance. The staff is super helpful and the property is well maintained and clean.
- RICHARD (10/5): - Great location for visiting downtown
Blacksburg.
- Mary Ann (10/5): - It was close to shopping and food you need to have brochures letting people know the attraction in town
- Viviana (4/5): - No parking available, no Christmas tree, bed are really uncomfortable
- Tony (8/5): - Great value for close by VT. The area is safe and convenient for foods. The only thing negative was the sink faucet leaking water.
- Matthew (8/5): - The Inn was nice and in a great location. Somehow my reservation was canceled. Expedia said Main St Inn canceled it, Main St Inn said Expedia canceled it. I had to call the inn directly and rebook the same room for more money. I'm thankful they had a room but it was all very aggrevating to say the least.
- all4emt (8/5): Beautiful Inn on Main Street in Blacksburg - The Inn and the room were very clean! The bed was so comfortable I could've spent a day in bed! The Inn is right on Main St. and within walking distance of shops and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely return. The only negative is that the parking deck is very small with limited parking spots.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great stay for a reasonable price! Perfect location for what we were looking for, in the middle of Blacksburg.
- rkjmcdaniel (2/5): Unpleasant Stay - We stayed two nights on a football game weekend. There was no remote for the TV in the sleeping room. We had no hot water the first morning at 8 am. The bars of soap were tiny, and we only had one in the room. No separate hand soap and bath soap. We tried to call the front desk using the room phone. It did not work either. Went to front desk to report issues. No apologies. Only excuses. The second morning, we did have hot water, and we received additional soap from the front desk. They were not able to provide a remote for the TV, so we were not able to use the TV for our entire stay. Positives: clean room, comfortable bed, and good location.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Way too expensive - Room is tiny and super dark so impossible to do makeup
No ice even though every other hotel had it.
They don't clean room unless you're there 3 nights.
Tv is tiny.
AC super loud.
Water pressure is weak and don't get hot enough for me. Shower is moldy.
Only positive is location.
I don't think they've renovated since the 70s.
- John (4/5): - This hotel does not have any onsite dining. There is a small fridge and microwave in the room but there are no table or desk at which to eat. There is no 24 hour coverage of the front desk. The only thing they can do is check in and replace room keys. I called early to ask about extending my stay and the call went to voicemail. Several hours later the call was returned and the person told me they had to ask there boss. They called back about 12 hours later to tell me they would not open another room. If your room key fails during their off hours you are locked out until the next morning. Also the hot water runs out late in the day.
- Tony (8/5): - Very convenient right next to the university. The building is historic and very classic. Love the staff and their professionalism.
- jlkslk85 (4/5): Do not recommend - Disappointed with this hotel. The only positives are the location and the parking. The rooms are outdated and smell. The shower door is off its tracks. The air conditioner is so loud that we have to constantly adjust sound on TV. The traffic on Main Street made it hard to sleep.
- Anna (6/5): - First time staying at this property.
Have been to other hotels in the area multiple times.
We were happy with location. Convenient to walking downtown.
Staff was friendly but did not follow up on our concerns.
Cleaning staff came into our room before 11:00 am check out while we walked to get breakfast.
Pillows were flat.
Light bulb out on bedside table, curtains off the rod, shower door was off track.
We are a small business and try supporting local, small businesses. Doubt we will return.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - This is located right in the heart of downtown Blacksburg, which is the best part about it. We never had housekeeping in the 2 days we were there, and our room was very dated. The shower was moldy, the TVs were tiny and my bag got wet from sitting on the floor in front of the air conditioner (and my clothes got wet inside since I had a cloth bag). The parking garage is tiny and if you have a larger vehicle forget about parking there. Our view out the window was also lovely - a brick wall of the building next to us. I will choose to stay at a big name hotel the next time I am in Blacksburg.
- Beverly (6/5): - Upon arrival, the Inn had no record of our reservation for a second room.. Expedia had reserved only one room for 4 of us..two couples .. I was prepared with printouts of the arrangement with your service and the young man at the check in desk was puzzled as he saw in print that I had reserved two but his computer records showed only one. He was able to give us another room and resolved the issue but it made me think twice about using Expedia again in the future. Instead , for future trips, I will call the destinations directly and make my own reservations.
- Suzanne (8/5): - A nice budget hotel with very friendly staff!
- Kevin (10/5): - Always my B-burg go-to.
- Jay (4/5): - It was okay, convenient to walk around from but facility itself is nothing to boast about. Front desk person was informative and kind.
- Faith (8/5): - We stayed at the Main Street Inn during my recent Virginia Tech reunion. I was pleased by the convenient location as we were walking to and from campus often. Parking was included and covered. There was a nice seating area and the minibar with sink was a great perk. Thank you for making my alumni weekend memorable!
- deboraht366 (6/5): Air conditioning issue - It was a hot day and the air conditioning had not been turned on in our room. I mentioned it to the check in person and he said he was surprised but did not offer a different room. Even at bedtime hours later the room was still uncomfortable. In retrospect I should have insisted on another room. I didn’t think it would take so long to cool off.
- Greg (6/5): - Location was fantastic.
- Stay55854950053 (6/5): Two night Main street Inn stay in mid-June 2024. - Definitely a great location to stay in Blacksburg. Located in middle of downtown and close to university campus as well. Room is laid out well and functional but interior is dated and condition is not up to snuff. Bathroom sink was 2/3 stopped up, lots of mold around bottom of shower door, shower head sprayed water and leaked requiring lots or tinkering to make it functional. Light fixtures in BR was pitted and beyond their useful life. But checkin desk clerk was nice, covered parking for a good percentage of guests, k-cup coffee machine in lobby, and beds were comfortable as was the AC on a hot day. If you value location and convenience and can overlook material condition issues with the room, this is a great place to stay.
- Daniel (8/5): Great Location and Service - It was a nice place to stay. Great location & service.
- Ly (6/5): - The inn is right downtown Blacksburg, conveniently walkable to shops, restaurants, VT.
The inn is an old building with a few updates (granite countertops). The room as a nice sitting area. It has an old musty smell.
- Paul (10/5): - Enjoyed our stay. Close to everything downtown.
- C7437CVannac (8/5): Comfortable Inn in the Heart of Downtown Blacksburg - Overall, I am very happy with my experience at this inn. The location is excellent with many local restaurants and shops a stone's throw away. We stayed Memorial Day weekend 2024, and the hotel was pretty quiet. We were welcomed with a smile and attentive service. The room was very clean and neat, and the king sized bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. I deducted a star because some of the upholstered furniture and carpeting felt like they could be updated given the pricing. However, I would absolutely book this Inn again.
- jamescO9760TQ (4/5): substantial price increase and large decrease in amenities, cleanliness and quality. - sleep sofa mattress was filthy, had to sleep on sofa itself. coffee service in lobby minimal with powder creamer and not sweetner except sugar. curtain at window was torn and would not close fully to shut out outside light. minimal toiletries in bath room. ice machine still broken. tvs in room were inoperable. was told new comcast service was added several days ago but all rooms may not have been set up. never could get local channel access. website mentioned fruit in morning but never saw any. Have stayed here numerous times before and it is now nothing like it was in the past. Seems ownership more concerned with pricing and not concerned about maintaining the quality of what was a nice place.
- Tullia (8/5): - When we arrived to check-in around 6 pm, there was no one at the front desk to help us. We waited about 15 minutes, until an employee finally emerged from the elevator. I know this is probably due to short-staffing; however, there should be an attendant at the front desk at all times (especially after 3 pm for check-in). The building itself is quite cute, but could use a few updates. Bed was comfortable with the exception of the nearly flat pillows. Room was clean with plenty of towels and the room was quite spacious.
- Louise (10/5): - The staff is friendly- the rooms are lovely and comfortable and the area is safe and walkable.
- M7253UBjuliel (2/5): Very disappointing - Booked this hotel a year ago for graduation weekend and gladly would have paid another hotel twice the price instead of staying here. Our room was dingy and smelled horrible (like mold and smoke). Windows don't open so there was no way to air it out. Carpet was dirty and the furniture was old and worn. I had to go buy air fresheners to put in different places in the room - it only helped a little. The location is fantastic but overall the hotel is substandard for what they charge. Very disappointed overall.
- GlobeTrotting663780 (2/5): Terrible hotel. Will never be back. - This hotel is the biggest rip off. Depressing and dirty rooms. Hair all over the sheets. Dirty bathrooms. Pathetic bedding, toiletry and furniture. Felt like Econo Lodge. Incompetent front desk. One of the worst places I’ve ever stayed. Great location. Such a waste!
- Peter (8/5): - Location in downtown was great.
- Andrea (8/5): - Love the location to VT! The BEST!!! Walk everywhere and end the day on Main street, just a couple blocks from your VT student!!
- Bruce (10/5): - I very comfortable place in a convenient location.
- grworcester (6/5): Quaint, good location, needs to be more attentive to customer satisfaction. - Quaint inn but lacking in amenities and in need of updates. There was a coffee maker in the room but only 2 plastic cups, no styrofoam cups for the coffee. The ice machine was broken so the front desk clerk told us to go to the 7-11 down the street for ice. We were informed there would be no cleaning or service for 3 days. So, we had to wash out our 2 cups and take our trash out to the hall trashcan. We found the linen supply room so we picked up clean hand towels and secured another roll of toilet paper. The 1 bar of soap was so small it lasted one day at the bathroom sink. We had no soap for the shower. The complimentary shampoo/ creme rinse was so small-enough for 1 use. Would have been nice to have those small items replenished on day 2. The shower had mold in the door tracks and rust around the drain. The toilet paper holder was broken and kept falling off. The shelves in the mini fridge were missing or broken. We had a desk in our room but in my son’s room across the hall, the desk and chair had been removed. Upon check out, the clerk had her dog sitting in the chair next to her at the front desk. I believe I saw a sign that said no pets allowed. The location was good for downtown Blacksburg but I would have to think twice before booking for a football weekend at $799/night!
- Y4288QZkims (4/5): Great location but that is it! - It was my first time staying at Main Street Inn and I chose it because I have always wanted to stay there since it is a great location. I don't think I'll ever stay there again. The location gets it a 5 Star but everything else is a 1. The hallways smelled like pot the entire time we were there. The biggest issue was they had all the stuff to make coffee (keurig, coffee pods, creamer, stirrers and lids) but they didn't have any cups! The first time I went down to get coffee I thought surely there was cups somewhere down there but there was no one at the front desk to ask. When I went down a 2nd time as we were checking out, I asked and said you have about 3,000 lids but no cups and she said I know, we don't have any cups and haven't had them for awhile. Also the ice machine was broken. So my suggestion would be to at least make an effort and get some coffee cups at the grocery store down the street. Safe to say, we won't be back and will stick to our Hilton Garden Inn in Blacksburg or Hampton Inn in Christiansburg for future visits. For purposes of this visit and seeing our kids before they graduate, it was nice to be walking distance to everything downtown but that was about it.
- Martin (6/5): - Parking was an issue. They don't have many spaces on site, so we had to park in a garage across the street, which in itself is ok, but the passes the hotel gave us to get in and out didn't work (the gate computer said the pass had expired), and we had to get online help from the parking garage company both times, which took a long time. There was only one remote which only worked with one of the two TV's, so we couldn't watch TV in the bedroom. The main thing this hotel has going for it is the location, very close to the university's main entrance.
- flyin-jaunts (6/5): Great location...but stay elsewhere if noise wakes or keeps you awake. - Although another review had indicated a blaring TV from the room next door kept them awake - I figured their can't be that many jerks that don't turn down or turn off their TVs after midnight...I was wrong. The hotel is still promoted as having "soundproof rooms," they are absolutely not. A friend staying on another floor in a different part of the hotel said she didn't sleep either - since the noise from the frat house behind the hotel came right into the room. After the noise Friday night I notified the front desk Saturday morning of the blaring TV in the room next door (we were in room 305 and the hard of hearing, TV blaring traveler was in room 307), the desk attendant said they would notify the guest to please turn their TV down during the night. This "effort" was to no avail - Saturday night the same thing, possibly worse since even my spouse complained it woke them up. Interestingly the TV didn't even seem to be turned on until around midnight, then blaring till about 5am. Clearly if the staff notified the person it just made things worse for us, and the staff also do not monitor the halls after 11:00 pm. The end and bedside tables were dusty, the microwave had greasy sauce on the turntable plate, and there was makeup (not ours) on the countertop in the pass-through to the bathroom. We found the bedroom TV controller on the floor between the bedside table and bed, and the channel list behind the bedside table - neither of which was much help since the bedroom TV was not hooked up to cable with those channels and had limited number of channels. There were no coffee cups (plastic water cups only), only decaf coffee in the room, and the in-room coffee maker was not a keurig. At least there was a keurig in the lobby to get a basically palatable cup of coffee on the way out. With some TLC, a staff and management that would appoint and clean each room as though they were going to be the one's staying in it, and some sound control between the TVs and the adjacent room headboards this could be a wonderful hotel - sad to see that despite similar reviews a year ago little has changed.
- Ryan (6/5): - A few updates would make this property superb. The location is fantastic (there is street noise, but this is expected in a college town on Main Street). But it is outdated, and some of the furnishings are worn. No bar soap for face/hands or body wash provided. Turn down service was advertised to take place on the third day for 3-night stays, but did not happen. TVs were very small which, coupled with the older tech, made viewing unenjoyable due to the distance from viewing space(s). Shower head and water pressure were pathetic. One staff member was very helpful, another left the front desk for 10 minutes while I was waiting to regain entry to my room because of a faulty key. With a few updates and slightly upgraded room amenities, I’d highly recommend this place. Until then…
- Lisa (10/5): - Staff was friendly and helpful. Property was right in the center of town making it convenient to access restaurants, shopping, and Virginia Tech.
- John (8/5): - Great location and front desk staff. Quirky room layout and somewhat dated decor. Get to the hotel early to get an on premise parking otherwise you park across the street.
- Kelli (4/5): - Just old and dreary.
- Leah (6/5): nice but - Accomodations are nice but dated. Walls were paper thin. Some one watching the TV in the next room at normal volume disturbed our sleep immensely.
- Xuping (8/5): - I like the location of the place, within walking distance to Virginia Tech and convenient shopping/dinning options around. The room is clean and nice.
- ArlNow1 (6/5): Below expectations - Although the location is convenient, I was disappointed by the hotel. My son and I checked in just after 10 PM, and the regular lot adjacent to the hotel was full. Despite the availability of about eight spaces reserved for registering guests, the front desk clerk refused to let me use one of them overnight, even though I was checking out early in the morning. Instead I had to get back in my car, drive around the block and park in a deserted garage, exit into an empty shopping center, and get back to the hotel. Next, when I got to the room and needed to use the pullout sofa bed, we found the blanket for it visibly filthy and unusable, and the mattress was about an inch thick and lumpy. In the morning, I found no cups available to use for the coffee in the room.
- MORENA (8/5): - CONVENIENT
- Cassidy (8/5): - Great location - the bathrooms and rooms could use a little TLC
- Anna (10/5): Loved my stay - Great little hotel, a little hot at night, made it difficult to breathe. But otherwise lovely hotel, near everything and I'll be back.
- Tracey (8/5): - Booked 2 rooms. Staff very friendly and helpful. Gave us lots of recommendations. Beds were very comfortable.
- Victoria (8/5): - A little but outdated but very quaint and nice
- Kevin (8/5): - Great location!
- Melissa (8/5): Reunion Stay - Stayed here over the weekend for a reunion. Only issue was parking across the street for checking in & out. Room was very comfortable & close to everything downtown 👍
- Jennifer (10/5): Friendly, good place - The front desk staff was friendly. The housekeeping staff was friendly. There was a nice coffee station in the lobby.
- Suzanne (10/5): Such A Nice Place - I really enjoyed my stay. My room
was so large and very clean. The staff were very friendly.
- Tiffany (2/5): No sweet dreams - The hotel is set on a main strip and architecturally quaint. There are several places to eat in walking distance. The lobby is set up nicely offering coffee and tea. Despite being older it has been maintained well. My son & I stayed for just an overnight trip. The room was small but set up nicely so that he slept on the fold out coach area which was separated by the bathroom and his area even had its own tv. There was a mini fridge & microwave set up in an area that was like a mini bar with a sink. Everything was great until about 11pm when the couple in the room next to us started having a very loud conversation with went on for about 45 minutes before I called the front desk to complain. They couple must have gone out because at 2am it started all over again. I tried to call the front desk and no one answered, after two more attempts with the front desk I walked next door to ask them to lower their voices. The young lady said ok, but the torture of her yelling and cussing went on until 4 am. I had the AC on just to drown out their voices. Needless to say the night was out of a Twilight Zone…either confronting the couple again or just dealing with it. So if you are a light sleeper in anyway bring ear plugs or do not stay here. You can hear everything around you and heaven forbid you have someone next door like I did…you will regret it.
- Terri (10/5): - Great Stay in Blacksburg!
- Johanna (8/5): - The location is why you stay. Being able to walk to campus is great. The room felt cramped, but the sofa bed is very separate from the bedroom area so it is a good floorplan for sharing the space with your teen. I would stay again.
- michael (10/5): - Close to VA Tech campus.
- Megan (10/5): - Ideal location! Very nice staff, clean & comfortable room
- Mark (10/5): - Great location! Nice rooms. Cozy lobby.
- Lis (10/5): - Nice property. Good price
- Rebecca (10/5): - Location was great. Decore was homey and staff was helpful and friendly
