• Guillaume (10/5): Excellent - Dans une chambre de 10 l accueil et le personnel sont sympa! Il y a tout l équipement nécessaire, avec en prime une salle de séchage (pas mal par les temps de pluie). Le seul « inconvénient » c’est que l’on ne capte pas, mai à part ça logement au top!

• Mallory (10/5): Great location on the Isle of Skye - I had a two night stay at Glenbrittle while visiting Isle of Skye. The room was comfy enough (a little cramped for ten people), the bathrooms were nice and very clean, the common areas were well stocked and cozy. There's also a great waterfall right across the road from the hostel and plenty of sheep and lambs to watch in the evenings.

• Lisa (8/5): - Facility is fine with just the basics. Don’t expect anything more and it is fine. Clean and nice staff. It is very remote with no cell service.
• Jaroslaw (8/5): - Beautiful mountain location. Clean and well equipped. Room for 5 people quite spacious. Good beds. Can be noisy at night as rooms have no phonic insulation and everything can be heard from other rooms. Parking can be difficult as hikers park next to the hostel. The access road is narrow, damaged and very busy during day time. It is a great place to hike the neighboring mountains but not as a base for exploring Skye, due to the fastidious access.
• Birgitte Sander (8/5): Vandreoplevelser lige udenfor døren - Vandrehjem uden den store luksus og som godt kunne trænge til en kærlig hånd både udvendig og indvendig, men som ligger lige ud til vandreruter og i meget smukke omgivelser. Meget rent og pænt badeværelse. Venligt personale.
• Emma (8/5): - Unique location in the middle of nature. Room was basic, shared spaces clean and you can cook your own meal in the kitchen.
• Ann (10/5): - Great location to hike and to visit the Fairy Pools. Comfortable rooms and clean bathrooms and showers. Very large kitchen. Only drawback was biting midges (insects) in our room which are common in Highlands areas. We left with multiple bites. Otherwise our stay was really nice.

Deux salles d’eau communes : une pour femmes l’autre pour hommes. Très proche des fairy pools. Perdue en pleine montagne sans réseau ni wifi. Le paradis !!
• Luca (10/5): Assolutamente Consigliato - Assolutamente fantastico!!! Staff gentilissimo, camere e bagno pulitissimi e location fantastica, isolata in un bellissimo paesaggio. Il cellulare non prende e non c'è il wifi ma va bene cosi in quanto il paesaggio e la tranquillità del posto compensano alla grande.

• Eric (10/5): Wonderful stay in Skye - Stayed 3 nights at this lovely and comfortable hostel. I used the drying room to prepare my shoes for each day of walking. Benjamin the manager was so helpful and friendly. Had a great stay and met new friends! The only issue was the lack of wifi or mobile network which turned out to be a nice disconnection from everything

• Verified traveler (8/5): - Beautiful scenery around, staff is fairly helpful. Short distance to the fairy pool. Kitchen is industrial standard, plenty of spaces and dinning area. Nice to listen to other travellers hiking experience in the comfy sitting area. Laundry services were provided by the reception rather than a self serve coin wash machine, i was a bit guilty to disturb his normal amenities cleaning process. The only issues about the stay are the midgets!!!! I still have the swollen bite marks from them 3 weeks after

• Verified traveler (8/5): - It was a little hard to find the hostel, there was only one sign at the turn off, which we missed. It would have been nice if there was another sign along the way to confirm we were on the correct path. I liked that there were hiking trails right outside the door!
• Iris (10/5): Lovely stay in the nature - My first hostel stay and it is better than expected. Staffs were nice and accommodating to our requests. Room is sparkling clean. Take break from the technology world and enjoy the nature as there is no reception or tv or wifi.

Walls are not well insulated, the owner did warn us, because of this we were quite cold, despite the heater been on and you could hear your neighborhood a lot. Also, no shops near by. Make sure to have all the food you need when you get there, closest spot is Portree where there is a grocery store( 30 mins away)
• Kristi (6/5): - Everything was clean. Staff were friendly. However the beds were terribly uncomfortable and the walls were paper thin. You could hear everything. Didn’t sleep a wink. Wouldn’t stay again.
• Verified traveler (6/5): It is what it is... - This is basic, no frills accomodations. Think church or summer camp. The area is beautiful-the hostel not so much. The room was OK but there was dust and cobwebs etc. In the rafters. I noticed 'cause I was on the top bunk. The beds are worn and the walls thin. The bathrooms were surprisingly good--very clean and adequate for all guests. The hostel is very remote and your GPS won't take you to the right place so pay attention to the directions provided. Also, bring your own food and drink as there is nothing around there. If you are up for roughing it one night to enjoy some spectacular scenery -this is an OK stop.

The staff was very kind and helpful.Only grumble was the walls were thin and you could hear everybody's comings and goings. However, I would highly recommend and I plan to use it again.

• Jason (10/5): Remote hostel with thin walls no wifi - Fantastic knowledgeable helpful staff. Neat place with great other guests as most are there for the adventure and outdoors. Great location to explore skye. And near a beach and neat streams and waterfalls. Considerate quiet guests only please.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Family holiday - The location is quite far away from Portree. There is no wifi and no signal for use of mobile phone. We stayed there for 2 nights. The room and beds are comfortable. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The dining area is good but the oven was too old - the food didn't cook through properly. Overall, we did enjoy our stay there.
• Tricia (10/5): Great hostel - First time I stayed in a hostel. I was pleasantly surprised. It was very clean, in a beautiful location near the fairy pools. Seperate men and womans bathrooms were just down the hall. Nice big kitchen for cooking. Beds were average but after a day of hiking who cares. Walls are pretty thin so bring your ear plugs. Friendly check-in.
