Guest Reviews
- Cynthia (4/5): - I've never served time but our room reminded me of what I imagine being in jail must be like. Absolutely no frills; not one towel rack or hook to be found. No closet, hanger or drawer for your clothes. Lots of dead space in the room. The beds sat on very noisy, heavy duty springs that groaned with every movement. There were two enormous lights outside of our room that kept it lit up throughout the night that the curtains couldn't keep out. Despite the literally freezing overnight temperatures, our beds had sheets, a blanket and a shiny, polyester coverlet--no comforter or anything for warmth until I got some comforters from the office. Speaking of linens, all of the bedding had some manner of rips and holes in them. The housekeeping of our room was not careful-a hair in the fridge and someone else's used soap/wrapper in the shower. The one shining light was the pleasant and helpful front desk clerk. The room was about $140, which compared to the awesome suite I'm staying in tonight, is highway robbery and a reason to keep driving past Winnemucca if we ever come this route again.
- Cindy (2/5): - Everything about the place was bad.
- Kathie (10/5): - It has the best water pressure of any hotel I’ve ever stayed in!
- Jason (10/5): - Parking was secure room was nice and clean
- Max (10/5): - 11
- robert (2/5): - No one at desk
Had to call twice to get someone to check us in and it took 15 minutes for a person to come from adjoining motel.
Poor service.
Wont stay again
- Heather (6/5): - Check in was ok - staff wasn’t real friendly and the pool was out of service. That was one of the reasons we booked for our kids to swim
- khamsay (6/5): - Bathroom was not accessible for ada wheelchair
- Loretta (8/5): Great for passing through! - Road trip from Wa state to Las Vegas needed a place to get some rest before hitting the road again. Older property with what looks like newer paint, flooring, furnishings renovations. Queen bed 6/10 rating. Room was very clean. Outside area was very very well lit! So much as though all the lighting lit up the room! Window coverings were minimal as far as blocking light out. Lots of light coming through room and bathroom windows. Lithium mining is booming in nearby areas so was happy to get a room. Lots miners taking up occupancy in the area, therefore driving room rates way up. Appreciate that this property was somewhat reasonable rate for weary tired traveler. Was too tired to get room pics. Did take a couple outside pics when we left.
- Danielle (8/5): - This property is pet friendly, clean, newly renovated. There are wonderful restaurants within walking distance. There is traffic noise all night and a train came through so sleep can be a bit challenging without earplugs. Staff very responsive.
- Donalee (4/5): - Poorly maintained
.no breakfast as advertised
Ice machine.brokrn
No warsh.rages
Small room.etc.
- Joe (4/5): - Late check-in, got room key and the room was not made up from previous occupant. No other room available. Clerk had to check with manager. After a half hour wait clerk returned and told us they were arranging a room at another hotel. I appreciate the effort to get the room at another hotel. Room was available and checkin went smoothly.
- James (10/5): - Stayed there before. Not an uptown motel but nicely remodeled. Parking is tight.
- Rebecca (10/5): - It had a cute retro feel. Huge room and bathroom for the price
- Kelli (2/5): Consumer beware - Could not check in because nobody at property and sign said no vacancy yet they booked and took the money and would not refund.
- Misty (4/5): - The best way I can describe this place is a horror movie meets Motel 6. It was pure ghetto cringe from the moment we walked in.
The first room we were given reeked of weed so badly it was impossible to stay in. To their credit, they did switch us to a different room, but the new one wasn’t much better. The smell of weed was gone, but it had a heavy, musty odor that was almost worse.
The bedding was appalling, no mattress pad, just a single thin sheet with what I can only describe as an unwashed quilt thrown on top. It felt dirty and uninviting. The bathroom had ants, which was disgusting, and the window sills and tracks were caked with filth and what looked like possible mold.
We were so uncomfortable the entire stay and couldn’t wait to leave. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone unless they’re looking for a real life haunted house experience. Spend a little extra and stay literally anywhere else.
- Donna (4/5): - The room smelled like a wet dog and dirty socks. GPS gave me the run around while trying to find it. I had asked for no stairs but we were given a room on the second floor. No elevator. My husband and I are both disabled. It was not a good experience.
- Susan (4/5): - The description said it had a bath/shower, but it only had a shower. Then I went out to my car to get something, and the key did not work, and the front desk person left at midnight, so no one was there to help me.
Also, the maid woke me up at 9 am.
- James (2/5): Do not stay!!!!!! - The floors were dirty they didn’t even give us clean towels when we stayed 2 days. There was no one in the office,we had to call a number to get any service at all. There were bugs in the bed and somebody had wiped burgers or poop on the walls in the bathroom. When we checked out there was no one in the office to talk to. The people that run that hotel run the econo lodge down the street. I would not recommend either hotel to stay at. It’s pet friendly but no place to walk your pets.
- Erik (6/5): - Good location downtown. It's recently remodled, but still an older model property. Comfortable beds. Functional bathroom.
- Salvatore (2/5): - I wasn't even able to check in. There is 1 worker who travels between 2 hotels to check people in so it takes about an hour to check in. Completely unacceptable.
- David (2/5): - We did not stay. We tried the bed before receiving the keys and it sunk to the base. There is NO way we could have slept on this mattress!! With having bad backs we could not stay. The parking lot stunk like marijuana so bad I got a migraine instantly since I am allergic to it. We stayed down the street, while walking by this place later, it still smelled.
- Carla (6/5): - The room was clean and roomy and appeared to have been updated with newer fixtures, but the outside of the property needs a complete update. When we pulled in after booking off Expedia we almost left as it seemed sketchy. We did have a pleasant stay though.
- Cheryl (10/5): - Check-in was very easy. Front desk lady was so nice and friendly. The room was nice and clean. I like that it has a good size fridge with a freezer. There are a couple things I think should be done. The shower floor needs fixing. And they need to put bulbs on the lamps. And it would be nice to have somewhere to hang your clothes. But overall If you need a room just for a night or two this is a good place.
- Candace (2/5): Don't stay here! - Had to walk past pot smoker and cigarette smoker to get to room. Had to get room key reprogramed 3 times to get in. Missing light bulbs in headboard lamps. Paid for a queen bed - had a lumpy, double bed we had to sleep on our sides to keep from falling out of bed. Telephone was disconnected. Noisy air conditioner. Was a camp for homeless people with their monster trucks crazily parked all over the very small parking lot. We thought we could find something better and cheaper than Motel 6, but in 3 stays in Winnemucca, we've been greatly disappointed. Might have to revert to going back to Motel 6 next time. At least it's next door to KFC!
- Vinod Kumar (2/5): - Poor overall
- Benjamin Rudy (6/5): - Parking lot is small and spaces are very tiny. The room was fine. Unfortunately, the bed was terrible…
- Verified traveler (2/5): Stains everywhere. - Needs a deep cleaning and new sheets.
- Larry (8/5): Getting better - The motel jas been and I assume atill being updated. The pool was closed. Once door thresholds are complete it will be a great place
- Jamie (10/5): - Great stay. No complaints!
- Jamie (10/5): - Great staff! Fun, clean and safe. Great value. Highly recommend.
- Linda (8/5): - We were there for only one night. Newly renovated.
- Kristine (8/5): - Quick stop
- Burton (8/5): Winne-202507 - Overall it was excellent. Th neighbors, fridge and HVAC were all too loud to relax properly.
- J. Wyatt (8/5): Quick stay - The parking lot is difficult to get into with a larger vehicle.
- Salvador (2/5): - What type of business claims to be open 24/7 but has nobody at the front desk? We had to wait 3.5 hours to check into the room, one baby and a paid dog companion. Fund a few ants running around in the restroom. The person who finally showed up was unprofessional and rude, couldn't care less that we had a baby, did not apologize at all, she acted like she was saving the day and doing us a favor. Never again would we consider staying here.
- zeek (6/5): - If you need to do a quick lay over, it’s ok. Ac had two functions: artic cold or no ac at all. Ac was loud which I like so u don’t have to hear the neighbors as the walls were thin. Dirty bed and towels. Prob not the maids fault as they just are using what’s given to them by the owners. 3/10
- Julie (6/5): - Overall, pretty good value. (We paid $90 for a king room.)
Pluses.:
- The rooms are bright and we enjoyed the small design touches, including the colorful wall behind the bed.
- The bed was comfortable.
- Manager was friendly and helpful.
- Location is good, within a few blocks of a yummy breakfast @ The Griddle, the museum/visitor center and historic buildings. A bit further (half mile) is the Martin Hotel. We enjoyed wandering the area.
Minuses:
- The pool was closed, “waiting for an inspection” according to the front desk staff. We chose the hotel in part for the pool, so this was disappointing.
- No one was at the front desk when we arrived and the phone number given rang back to the desk. After about five minutes, the manager saw us from the Econolodge, where she also managed the front desk, and came over.
- The floor in the room needed a good mopping and the a/c was very loud.
- Mike (4/5): - Overall room below average… TV not working, shower leaking on floor, noisy AC, and remodeled room not very well done. Can not recommend this property.
- Douglas (8/5): - Quick and easy.
- Adrian (2/5): - I arrived at 940pm. There was no front desk person. I waited over 20 min! Called the front desk as the sign stated...over and over for 20 minutes. I did not stay...after a 10 hour drive, i dont have time to stand and wait! I expect a full refund!!
- M (8/5): - Great staff, moved my reservation without a problem, easy check in. Descent place for a night traveling through. Only complaint it the outside hall light, it's so bright you feel like the sun has never set. Even with curtain closed it still got through.
- Carmen (10/5): - It was a great stay.
- Robina (4/5): - The staff was nice but definitely over worked. There is one person and one maintenance person for 3 hotels. We woke up to an ant problem. We had to wait an hour for someone to come clean it. Need more help.
- TERRY (8/5): - .
- Brian (10/5): So so - Just stopping in for a break on a longer trip. The room was good for the area.
- Shalini (10/5): - Great
- Rebecca (2/5): - I did not like the area the property was in. The property looked very rundown, although clean. I didn’t like the door between the two rooms that had a really loose and wiggly lock. I did not stay. I was there for about half an hour and packed up and went to a better hotel
- John G (4/5): - The floor was dirty. No closet in room. The air conditioner was extremely noisy.
- Drake (8/5): Winnemucca - this hotel exceeded expectations - weary travelers; we were elated to walk in. The impressions was lovely
- Yvonne (4/5): - First of all the picture of the hotel room posted on website was not up to expectations. When we walked in the room it had an odor, bedding was dirty and stained, TV and internet didn’t work. Honestly after driving for hours and hoping for a good clean room to sleep in … your property failed to deliver. The dirty bedding was the failure …. I hope you take this review seriously and make changes.
Sincerely
One of your Hotel Guest
- Robyn (10/5): Mostly well pleased. - We liked our room. We turned off the air as soon as we got into our room. The bathroom window was open and let in cool air. The only complaint was that the shower had black curly hair in it near the drain when we first got into the shower. Everything else was great.
- Orion (10/5): - The sheets at this hotel were the softest sheets I've ever felt in a hotel. We arrived after midnight, and had to call the nearby Econolodge to get a staff member to come check us in, but she was fast and kind. Checking in was painless. Everything is well lit at night which makes it feel very safe. We'll be staying again in a week on our way back up the country.
- Nancy (10/5): - Road trip
- Robert (8/5): - I stayed 2 times in 4 days, 2 different rooms and the showerhead sucked in both rooms. My latest stay it was like someone slightly sabotaged the room; the HDMI cable was unplugged from the TV and the volume was turned completely up. But my biggest issue was the crappy showerheads.
- Sherie (10/5): - This is an older property, recently renovated It is well priced for the area.
- Douglas (4/5): - The floor had so much dirt, it made a hand towel black. The shower wall had hair stuck to it. TV controller did not work. Would not recommend.
- Rachelle (4/5): - This place is sort of clean. The service was not good at all and the location can be kind of noisy with traffic on the street.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Front desk was nice. Shower situation needs major updating. Floor was soaking wet from ineffective shower curtain.
- Katherine (6/5): - The front desk worker was very helpful. The bed was not very comfortable, and there were ants in the bathroom.
- Stephanie (8/5): - Great location and easy check-in/out. Staff was very responsive by phone when not at the front desk. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash was empty in the shower, which was disappointing. Ice maker was not working, so had to go to the convenience store close by. Outdoor lighting was on all night, so would recommend a face mask. Overall, decent and comfortable stay for one night.
- Gilbert (2/5): - it was disgusting the bathroom had sewage coming out of the sink it stunk the tv sucked desk attendant was of no help and even lied to me. Stay the hell awaya from this place
- Ligia (10/5): - Awesome value
- Victoeia (4/5): - Nothing was good at the point of check-in.
- Jessica (2/5): - Floor was not clean! Black dirt on socks and feet from floor. Smelled like sewer, door lock system was broken, chicken bone in front of door.
- Rhett (2/5): - Reserved a King size bed, got 2 queens. Was told that was what I reserved, which was a lie.
Floor in the room was filthy. Our feet were black after walking bare foot on the floor in the room.
- Mary (4/5): - Unfortunately the TV in our room wasn’t working… disappointing.
- John (6/5): Just ok - Very bright in the room even with drapes closed and no place to hang clothes
- Marilynn (4/5): - Won't stay there again.
- Gareth (6/5): - Pros: very cost effective. Check in pleasant. Pet friendly. Updated decor. Fridge was spacious. Table sitting area was convenient. Walls thick, couldn’t hear guests. Gas stations on either side were convenient. Location convenient.
Cons: We were in a non-smoking room and it was malodorous with the stench of cigarettes. The bathroom/shower area had no soap in the dispensers. The sheets had stains. The dust and past guest’s hair slicked the floors brown in the shower room. Sink was clogged. Cleanliness was not good overall. Light flooding in through sheers. No area to walk dog, all narrow patches of sparse gravel. Pool very dirty/unkept(we realize it was off season but it did not add to the welcome/kept factor).
- Phil (8/5): - The shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispensers in the shower were all empty.
- Javier (10/5): - A great place to stay. Good value. Remodeled recently. Close to restaurants, coffee and convenient store.
- Angel J (6/5): - Rooms need to be more cleaned floors hadn’t been mopped and make sure bedding and soap dispensers are fully stocked
- Michael (10/5): - Clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Good value.
- Kalon (4/5): - Don’t recommend. Had spiders in my room everyday, no room service and problems with extending my reservation.
- Lisa (6/5): - Good: Property has been renovated, with a retro feel. Convenient to walk thru town and they allow dogs.
Bad: Outdoor lighting was so bright at night, even with curtains closed, it lit up our room up and we had rips in the fitted sheet
- Verified traveler (8/5): Not bad - It great except no one was at the counter when I arrived. There was a number to call to summon the person. I called it, and she arrived not too long afterwards.
- kathy (2/5): - The pictures look better than the actual property. On a main road so noisy, blackout curtains too small so the outdoor light shines in the room and under the one inch gaping door. Stuffed a towel under the door to block the noise. No soundproofing as advertised, could hear the neighbors at four in the morning leaving. Keycard didn’t work so we had to track down the desk attendant who is supervising three different properties. Pillows were hard, bring your own. The bed was comfortable. The tv was small and only did direct tv. Close to The Griddle a good place for breakfasts. Expensive for what you get.
- Cesar (10/5): - Really clean!!
- Steven (10/5): - Reasonable price
- Robert (8/5): - Easy access. A little funky but some nice upgrades. No place to put luggage up on. Cold floor. Overall good
- Ezra (10/5): - Remodeled nice
- Michael (8/5): - I would have gave 5 stars, but I ordered and paid for a king size bed. They gave 2 queen beds. I was too tired to go and complain and move all my things again.
It was a nice place though.
- Kenneth (10/5): - This property has everything you would ever need.
- Cathleen (4/5): - Unfortunately, this recently renovated property has quickly deteriorated and not been taken well care of by both the travelers and the staff. My shower had the soap dispenser holder taped to the wall and the actual bottles on the window sill. Remote was missing the battery cover. Had to plug the AC in and use a chair with wheels (unsafe) to access the buttons. No secondary lock on the door for security. Scratches and dents on the walls. Worn down towels. I don’t need a fancy hotel when passing through a town, just a clean and safe one. This one doesn’t check those boxes.
- Kris (8/5): - Spiffy clean and minimalistic. No frills but clean and serviceable. Had to wait around for the service clerk, I've stayed more than once and this seems to be a pattern.
- Xifan (10/5): - This is our second time to stay in this hotel. Remodeling just done.
- Cindy (8/5): - Worked for what i needed
- Isiah (6/5): - Room had odd smell, could use some better towels
- Adam (8/5): - The manager was a gem. She was so helful and friendly.
- Carol (6/5): - Small room & very small parking
- Wahid (8/5): - Were good to stay in the hotel.
- Wayne (10/5): - Newly renovated, a nice surprise
- Dale (6/5): Reasonable price for an overnight stay. - An older motel that has been updated - new sink, new toilet, new shower and new hardwood floor. No way to hang up any clothes and no stand to place suitcase on. Outside security lights are very bright so sleeping can be a challenge.
- Damian (10/5): - The girl in the front office was so nice and helpful
- Randall (10/5): - Very comfortable bed nice bathroom with modern toilet and shower
- Karen (8/5): Comfortable bed - Bed was comfortable. It was within walking distance of dining options, banks, and casinos.
- David (8/5): - recently remodeled so the rooms were nice. exterior is still 1950/60 motel but acceptable.
- Erik (6/5): - The heater was in an odd location and noisy, there was a gap under the door and it was about 17 degrees that night. The price was good for some quick shut eye on a late check in/early departure, no wife on this trip so no frills needed.
- Shalon (10/5): - Good place for a stop on the long drive. I would stay here again. All the small issues I had for taking care of by the staff, so no problem there.
