- Cara (8/5): Overall, we enjoyed our stay. - The staff was very accommodating and nice. The lobby was cute and cozy. We enjoyed the breakfast and playing pool in the lobby. The bedroom and bathroom were updated and pleasant. Not sure if it was because we were on the 11th floor, but the water for the shower didn’t get that hot. The hot water in the lobby for tea also wasn’t very hot. We also got put in the wrong room. We were supposed to be in a nicer room. Thankfully, because I told the front desk the next day, they gave us a refund, and comped our breakfast. But otherwise we would’ve been charged for a room we didn’t get.

- zoetG5805DD (2/5): Disappointed - Absolute disaster. We booked a weekend in South Bend because we were new to the area and wanted to be in walking distance of some amazing restaurants. Upon check-in, the lobby was filled with young children and their parents having a good time (all there for a hockey tournament). We traveled with our kids for sports so we get that. Unfortunately, we were never able to make it to our room. We parked on the 4th floor and waited and waited for the elevator. Each time it was PACKED with parents and children. We couldn't get our luggage carts on the elevator. We waited for four elevators and finally decided to check out of the hotel. We are thankful we were not charged.

- lilyw912 (8/5): Perfect for dinner and a show - We came into town to see a show at the Morris performing arts center. While a little pricier than other options the convenience of parking at the hotel and walking to dinner and the show (both less than 5 minutes away) was well worth it. The hotel lobby was a hangout spot for football viewing at the bar or playing a game of pool. Our rooms were very comfortable with completely water, firm beds, and a separate sink from the toilet/bath area. I was disappointed that the website advertised king rooms with tubs when in fact they are all shower only. However the staff was able to switch us to queen rooms. Unfortunately, our queen room with a tub had a faulty drain, so a bath was impossible. I would have mentioned this to hotel, but we only stayed one night. Despite this, we would definitely stay again.

We also stayed the night in two of their suites. My only beef was that their indoor pool was not heated. And it was freezing outside. I am not sure when they would not heat an indoor pool during this season. Why even bother having an indoor pool if guests cannot use it?

- MelssP14 (10/5): - This was my second time staying here, and overall it’s a great spot. The area is convenient, the hotel is clean, and the amenities are solid. Plus, parking is only $10 which is a great deal. The only downside this time was the overnight staff. I asked if something could be printed a document and was directed to the business center computer. When it turned out the computer was frozen, I asked again if I could just forward the document, but was told the printer was broken( the one connected to the bc computer). That didn’t make much sense why send me there in the first place if nothing was working? It came off a bit lazy, especially since she didn’t seem interested in helping and didn’t even get up from the desk to process a check in. Thankfully, the morning team was great and everything else about the stay was smooth. I’d still come back, but hoping for a better overnight experience next time.

- trauts10 (10/5): Fantastic stay in the perfect location in South Bend - We were staying at the Aloft with family - all driving in from various places to meet up for Mother’s Day weekend. It was our first visit here and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice of Aloft. Rooms are beautiful and clean. The beds were incredibly comfortable. The lobby area was a fantastic place to hang out, play games and visit. The outdoor patio with fire was our meet-up place. The location is perfect - we never moved the car after check-in: we were able to walk to Four Winds Field and all the nearby restaurants where we dined (which were all fantastic btw). We all agreed we’d do the Aloft again for the next family get-together. It was great! We highly recommend Aloft in South Bend.

- reg4477 (10/5): Great stay for a Hockey Weekend! - Enjoyed our 3 night visit for a Hockey Weekend! Room was great size on the 10th floor. Friendly staff and had Great fresh coffee available at all times! Also loved the vibe and fun atmosphere. We found plenty to do steps outside our room. They had a great pool but only complaint for our stay would be that the room temperature was 52 degrees while the water was decently warm according to my son. Would of been nice to sit in a comfortable warm room while my son was enjoying the pool. Food in Lobby to order was pretty good! Breakfast definitely better than lunch or dinner options. Free parking and in a Great location! Was too Cold during our visit to venture outside but looked like a few options out there to walk to for food. Hope to stay here again next time we visit Notre Dame!

- Eleanor (2/5): - Awful. Came here for New Year’s Eve to take my kids swimming. The pool room was colder than it is outside (less than 30 degrees) we called downstairs and they said maintenance is working on it. We came down to the pool again this morning and it’s even colder. Not to mention there’s a nasty film in the pool that looks like toilet paper. The entire 8th floor smelled like smoke. The cops were up here twice knocking on doors because people were smoking on this floor. This trip ruined our New Year’s Eve as a family. There was no manager on duty to help us. Do not recommend staying here. Especially considering no one did anything at all when we asked for assistance with the pool or to move away from the smoke with my 3 children.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Car Broken Into and Dirty Bathroom - Usually I love Aloft, but this time my room, specifically the bathroom, was dirty, like somebody had used it for a day and it hadn’t been cleaned. Hair on the toilet, shampoo on the floor of the shower, etc. Plus my car was broken into and the front desk people could not have cared less. Thankfully two guys, Josh and Jason, stepped in and helped me out and let me borrow a shop vac to vacuum up the broken glass. They also very kindly refunded my parking fee which was very kind.

- Kleiner (1/5): Bad - Beds were comfortable. 1 of 3 levators were in service, so I had to walk up and down 11 flights of stairs on numerous occasions because the wait time was at least 25 minutes. They double charged me for the room. And had to call several times to get it taken care of and it still isn't resolved.
- Kristy (6/5): - The actual hotel is fine...but out of 3 elevators only one was working for 4 days we were there...there were hockey tournament guests staying there so it was busy...waiting for the elevator was a nightmare. I guess you were expected to climb 17 flights of stairs or wait 30 mins for the elevator.

- Larry (1/5): Too noisy! Not again. - Didn’t eat. This was the noisiest hotel we have ever stayed at. The elevator sounded like it was smashing steel against steel all night. We did not sleep more than 2 hours.

- Fearless644815 (4/5): Too expensive for high noise and poor facilities - When I made reservations I asked if they were doing renovations and was told no. However, the noise level was all night and got worst by daytime. Pounding and banging thru the ductwork was heard from above. No microwave in room, no handrails in accessible bathroom. Toilet too low for accessible room. Phone didn’t work unless put speaker on. Housekeeping knocked at early morning then at 10 am, then they walked in while we had do not disturb sign out. Price too high for what they offer. NO breakfast offered. On site parking but costs $25 per day

- Shawn (10/5): Good place, parking meh. - Hotel is nice. The parking garage within the hotel is not operational. You have to park across the street in a city owned garage, $10 p/ 24 hrs. The area is not ideal. The room was great though.

- Jillian (10/5): - Although our room didnt look like the photo, the overall quality of it did. From the lobby to our room, almost everything was great. Made mention of a couple things maintenance needed to know issues of, and the lady at checkout stated they would gwt right on. Overall, highly recommend!
