• sarah (10/5): I always enjoy my stay - Close to transportation and convenient
• Nicola (6/5): Perfectly good hostel but needs to sort out the room temps - Good location, bathrooms are clean enough but a tad grimy and the pods are comfortable. However there seem to be some big issues regarding temperatures in the rooms. Our one was far too warm, to the point where you couldn't sleep at night(apparently we were not the only room to complain of this and there was also many that were far too cold). Over the course of my stay staff must have come in 3-4 times to try and fix it. While I'm grateful for them for trying, this is obviously above their paygrade and the property needs to get someone in to sort it. Would only recommend once room temps are sorted out, shame because otherwise the hostel has a lot going for it!

• Paul (5/5): Good location and general facilities but making small changes could improve my overall experience. Would not consider to - Location was great. Air conditioning condenser unit was attached to the wall so it was constantly operating at various speeds and noises so difficult to sleep. The mattresses were sagging so sore back in morning. The oil column heater was so small it couldn’t even heat the room even when left on continuously. Hot water was only warm even when on maximum heat.

• Dale (5/5): You get what you pay for, its like shared halls at uni, would i stay again no, - Location Great, right in town centre and easy to get to everything. easy to meet people to make friends. pods are a great idea as you have more privacy, they have plugs lights and a fan built inside them. lockers were a good size. The shared bathrooms were not clean, one mark on the wall for the 2 weeks i was there was never cleaned and could do with a bit of TLC, towels are not changed often and if you want a new one its costs, Also the shared bathroom as one sink not idea in the morning when everyone wants to clean their teeth. I paid for breakfast thinking it would be on site nopeee. they give you a food voucher for a pretty mid bagels place, don't bother.

• Matea (10/5): Amazing, I hope I’ll have the opportunity to come again. - Staff is very friendly and helpful. It is very good for young solo travellers. Location is amazing. 4th floor has kitchen and bar and lounge. I loved it. There is no heating in the room, at least not in May. I think they use AC on top of it. But they give extra blankets. It is just important to bring long warm pijamas.

• aayushi (10/5): It was amazing and I recommend this for everyone travelling solo to Queenstown. - Amazing location, it’s right at the heart of it all. The property is exactly as shown in pictures, pods are clean with complete privacy and comfort. The bathrooms are clean. The common space and kitchen are very well organised and available for everyone. I think the only request I would have is, have an option to refill water at ground floor and floors other than Kitchen too.

• Emma (8/5): Amazing Hostel in Queenstown - Location was perfect! Room was clean and had a great view of the gondola. The Kitchen Area and Top floor space was amazing. Kitchen was always clean. Room had a small heater but I think the hostel would do better if there was another option.

También en el baño se me quedó el short del pijama en la ducha y no apareció, me dijeron que no vieron nada. La limpieza de la habitación no la hicieron en 5 días.. uno de los chicos huespedes tuvo que sacar la basura por el mismo de la habitación para que la recogiera el personal.

• Mark (4/5): - Great location to most places in Queenstown (shopping, food, activities). Staff were friendly and helpful. The noise from cleaners and other guests was terrible. There were blending/vacuuming sounds from 9-10:30pm BOTH nights we stayed. The first night a staff member came to check it out but wasn’t sure what it was. He said if it happened again they might be able to switch rooms. We didn’t complain again as we only had a short stay. The walls are extremely thin and the bed was like a box of springs. There is no mini fridge which would have been helpful. The bathroom was dirty and the shower leaked from the tap and the floor, soaking our mat both days. It is also very cold in the room - the small heater provided gets almost too hot too quickly.

The staff were so helpful and friendly because i could not check out on time online, so they extended my time and checked out for me. honestly there is nothing much I could say about not liking the place. It was so good. I wished they have a bit more food options but thats just me being picky and the fact theres no budget friendly supermarket near by.

The common area and kitchen are very good, and the complimentary hot cross buns over Easter were well received. The matress in our room was pretty basic and felt worn, giving me quite a stiff ack after our first night. The lack of instructions for the induction cooktops made it hard for everyone wanting to use them.

Free wifi. My room had an ensuite (you did need to step up into it) shower had good pressure. Plenty of communal areas to sit and relax on level 4, as well as shared kitchen/dining areas. Average price for Queenstown. Main entry was stairs with no ramp. Lots of noise from the street and hallway/other rooms. Right next to a busy roundabout. The balcony door didn’t lock. The bathroom exhaust fan was on all the time. Tv had only three channels due to poor network signal. Way too many automatic emails.

• Chloe (6/5): Ok - Comfy beds, fantastic location I stayed in LYLO Auckland previously and loved it so I decided to book here, however compared to Auckland this Lylo is extremely outdated, there were little showers and bathrooms, the stairs to get up to the pod are genuinely a safety hazard (nearly fell off multiple times) and the blind in my pod didn’t work properly so when I would leave the pod I would bang my head on the blinds so unfortunately I wouldn’t stay in this specific LYLO again

It's also a really good place to meet friends and do your own cooking, as the kitchen is highly equipped, including air fryers. The staff is really helpful. I would totally recommend this to friends.
