Guest Reviews
- John (6/5): Hot - Location No A/C
- Victoria (10/5): - The bed was super comfortable. The windows are very thick and have solid wood blinds that close completely blocking out the light and muffling the noise from the nearby freeway. This place was perfect for us. If you need a place to stay on a budget that is close enough to Muir woods and the beaches north of San Francisco, this is a great option. It was clean, the showers had good pressure and got nice and hot. There was a good sized refrigerator for a hotel room, more than a tiny mini fridge I've seen in lots of them. Each room had a microwave as well.
- Rachael (8/5): Great value. Clean. - Great value
Clean. Would have liked a cup of
Tea

- Jani (8/5): An exceptional value! - This is a nice motel and certainly is very much worth the price. The beds were very comfortable and there was a microwave, a mini fridge and a small table and chair along with an additional fan provided in the room. This was useful because of the traffic noise.
- Diane (8/5): I was glad to discover I could turn on the heater; it gets pretty cool at night and early morning. - It is close to
My destination; easy to get to and easy to leave. N/A
- Anatolii (10/5): -
- Rodas (5/5): -
- steinhardt (7/5): - I liked the look of the place. It's an older building from what seems like the early '20s and the exterior looks original, it's cool. Some of the interior finishes were installed in the oddest of ways, like nice tile that is crooked. Nothing terrible though.
- Bruce (5/5): Won't stay there again. - the fans worked. Good location for what we were in the area to attend. That's about it. disabled room - wall mounted shower seat broken. Shower head mounted so high we had to use a cane to get it out of its holder. You could not reach the toilet paper roll holder while seated on the toilet. No hair dryer provided in room.
- Suzanne (6/5): Ok for one night. Won’t stay there again - Near hiking Right on the freeway, super basic furnishings
- Rick (8/5): -
- Lucia (10/5): - Great customer service and cleanliness
- Chela (8/5): - Clean, comfortable and everything I needed for a work night.
- Cecilia (7/5): - Rooms are okay I didn't like that it didn't have enough towels and toilet paper but I asked for items they gave them to me with no problem
- Vaso (10/5): Great. Comfy bed - Nothing fancy. But for what it is great!
- Mothudi (5/5): Forgettable - They said they offer breakfast but we didn't get any. They didn't even clean the room after we extended our stay by another day.
- Mike (10/5): -
- Andrej (8/5): -
- Vasilii (10/5): - Все очень удобно, нет скрытых депозитов которые есть у некоторых!
Было чисто!
- Vernimmen (4/5): -
- Steven (10/5): - No Nothing
- Marija (1/5): - Drove from Phoenix Arizona just need a quick nap before I reached my destination. Turned on light in the room saw a cockroach haven't seen one in years. Asked lady if I could get a refund she tried giving me the room next to it which was more filthy had dirty carpet. Told her I couldn't do it she said okay she would let booking know to refund me. Then when I called because booking said they didn't respond she said I was making excuses... that there is no roaches. Dishonest people dirty rooms do not stay here!
- Douglas (8/5): Convenient, Good Value - Convenient location. Freeway proximity good, and noise was not an issue. Great price for Marin County, and no negatives to report. All was fine.
- Steve (10/5): Exceeded expections - Location, safety, The staff were owners, I think, are owners . Nothing liked everthing,
- Steve (9/5): good - staff nothing
- Scott (5/5): - Central Marin location Old, dated, no amenities
- Janet (4/5): It was ok. The water is freezing cold. Makes washing our faces & showers no acceptable. - Old school. It’s ok. It’s just takes a loooong time to get HOT water. That’s not good. The water heater. Takes a looooong time for the HOT water.
- Kelly (10/5): Quaint little Motel with a down-home family feel. - We needed a room very late at night and the owner was so accommodating to our needs! We would definitely stay here again!
- Linda (8/5): - Very clean, friendly staff. Road repair outside our room caused noise all nite but otherwise great for price.
- Gary (8/5): Good - The staff were nice and helpful, The location was ok for food but mostly fast food and the bedding was clean, Nice to have a fridge & Microwave i did like that. Maybe a little more that i think it was worth to stay the night but i just needed sleep the guy next door have loud
6 minutes sexy time was really funny so it made up for any inconveniences and im still laughing about it.
- Michael (10/5): - Great price and near Mill Valley and Sausalito and the freeway. Staff were super helpful. When I left my laptop charging in the room after checking out, they called me right away and held it until I could get back that evening to pick it up.
- Arman (10/5): -
- Helen (1/5): - The room had an unpleasant odou. We left the door open whilst inside. Slept with the window open too although this felt a little unsafe.
Dirty carpet, tired decor, shabby furniture.
No air con, No hairdryer, No kettle/coffee facility.
Potentially unsafe electrics (see photo).
I made this booking after seeing the 6.9 rating & reading reviews?
This is an honest review.
- Tami (10/5): - There’s an area of shops close by
- Monica (8/5): - Room was clean & comfortable. No robe or towel hooks in the bathroom. Had to run the sink hot water in order to eventually get shower hot water. Staff did solve the initial TV issues.
- Marwin (10/5): -
- Tami (8/5): - Good location off the freeway and near gorgeous nature.
- Edward (2/5): - Looked great in the Expedia pictures, but is very run down, dirty and unclean - this felt like a bait and switch.
Traffic noise from 101 really loud; No AC so with windows closed no ventilation.
Carpet is filthy and didn’t feel good walking barefoot. Cockroach in bathtub. When I went to get the towel off the rack, the entire rack popped off the supports on the wall. Didn’t plug anything into the outlets as was worried it was sketchy.
All furniture is old, dingy and covered with scrapes and dings.
This is not a cool old motel that’s been renovated and looks great - this is an old motel that hasn’t had anything except paint. Avoid.
- Andrew (7/5): - Close to safeway and freeway. Noisy rooms from the 101 freeway, no coffee in room, rude check in staff, hot rooms with no air conditioning, fan only,
- ANN (2/5): - Sulina is helpful
- Kathryn (10/5): - I wish that there were bedside lamps. No A/C, but the weather at night was not too hot, so we were comfortable.
Reasonable price, so nice and convenient stay.
- Cristy (10/5): -
- Sam (10/5): - Room's are clean & nice
- Sanchez Porter (8/5): - I was pleasantly surprised by the room we received. We were upgraded to a two-bedroom suite. It was nice and clean, and had a refrigerator and microwave. No coffee pot, and the bathroom was really narrow. Overall, it was a nice place to stay if you're looking for a nice place to sleep, central to most of San Francisco, and with hiking trails. It was about 5-10 minutes from the Golden Gate Bridge. I would gladly stay again, There is no air conditioning, but since you're in the bay, you don't really need it. There were fans provided
- David (4/5): - This place was old and outdated. The room was cramped and creepy.
- Olena (7/5): -
- Jaqueline (8/5): - Hotel was ok nothing special great place to rest but the bathroom was small I was not able to move inside the shower without getting hit in that tight space also it’s next to the freeway so there is a lot of noise… The clerk was very nice and helpful with all our questions the only down fall was the noise and the bathroom but other then that the place was clean and very nice
- Matthias (7/5): -
- Michael (8/5): - Close to where I needed to be
- William (7/5): Peaceful and in a good location to see the area. Easy access to freeway - The room and bed was comfortable. We were surprised that the room was quite even though the motel is next to the 101 Freeway
- Michelle (4/5): - It was a cheap night. You get what you pay for.
- Ralf (6/5): -
- Salim (1/5): I was stay 4 nights there is no hot water not working room heater was complain about that they changed room but the same - Only location Service is 0
Staff is not available
- vilma (8/5): Clean! - Luxury towels, crispy sheets. Motel is dated and furniture definitely could use some TLC but the room functional, two beds and super clean and affordable.
- Dawkins (1/5): Bad - We had a very nice room last month and left it cleaner than most will although were 20 min late getting out of it but when we tried to stay this month they refused us unjustified but ok, went to the next one. The owners/operators are liers and biased people.
- Dawkins (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maria (10/5): - It was a very nice stay. The beds and pillows were really nice and comfortable. It's older, but it has it's charm. It's right next to the freeway and you can hear the cars, but otherwise it was very quiet and peaceful. The only thing I wish it had was bedside lamps. Otherwise our room was had two rooms, one for each bed and I really liked that. The managers were very nice and helpful as well.
- Adam (8/5): Easy, affordable comfort - It was clean, well kept. Definitely lacking air conditioning but offered fans in lieu of a/c. Friendly and helpful. Easy to access off the highway. Definitely good if all you need is a spot to lay your head and get ready.
- Sandra (10/5): Great little gem - Super friendly staff. Looks old from the outside but the inside was updated. Can't beat the price. Will definitely be staying here again! There's a lot of road noise but we sleep with a white noise machine everywhere we go so it didn't keep us awake.
- Michael (9/5): Good value and location. - Very cozy old fashioned motel. Great price and handy location. Bedside lamps would help.
- Warren (7/5): It’s right in the middle of everything it’s clean. It’s small and the heater would be nice, but it was certainly a lot f - It’s cheap
- Han (5/5): Passable - Good value for the money. No problem staying for one day and take advantage of the $ it saved me. Condition of the room was poor. Carpet broken and dirty. Shower looks dirty in the corners. Spider in the room.
- Gwendolyn (6/5): - The walls in the bathroom were filthy all the way around. The light switches in the bathroom were also filthy. The shutters in the bedroom had goop on them. There is no place to hang any shirt or trousers, and there was no coffee.
There was one small plastic drinking cup individually wrapped in a package that had already been opened.
The staff was very kind and try to be as accommodating as possible.
- Beckwith (8/5): Very good -
- Oscar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carlos (6/5): A quick stay. - This is an older property and lacking in basic creature comforts such a bedside lamp. Nights stands old and scratched up. One of the queen side bend offering narrow path to the bathroon.
- Tarotjill (10/5): Beautiful, clean. Well kept accommodations that were homie cozy and welcoming - All of the staff were kind, efficient and helpful. They were able to accommodate my late arrival and even upgraded my room to a suite which was spacious and sparkling clean. It would be ideal for a family
Also my room out of view of greenery which was very nice
The bed was comfortable. There were plenty of towels and amenities and the location is so convenient to everywhere right off the highway. Plus there's good food That's easy to get to and open 24 hours.
It would be a pleasure for me to have the opportunity to spend more time in the golden land with my new home away from home The only thing is that the GPS directions didn't match the address properly, so if you're going to map it put in the hotel, not the address
- David (1/5): Bad -
- Cesario (10/5): Great stay and value! - everything was great. Nothing
- Brian (10/5): - The staff was very nice and the room was nice and cozy.
- Shari (10/5): clean room - The room was super clean and the office people were very nice
- Octavio (2/5): Less than average - Room cleanliness was below average and there was toilet paper in the toilet when we checked in
- Kathy (9/5): Superb -
- Kathy (10/5): Exceptional - Classic sweet Motel!
- Chloe (1/5): filthy. blood on the towels!! would never recommend to even my worst enemy - staff was kind filthy room, blood stained towels, smelled like body odor upon arrival in the room, comforter had extreme discoloration. was charged for breakfast and there was none there.
- Jesse (8/5): Great value. Clean and comfortable. - Clean and comfortable. Mini fridge, microwave, free parking, Wi-Fi and toiletries. Nothing
- Erinprim (10/5): Very clean and comfortable. - The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The bed and pillows were great. Plenty of towels, soap, and shampoo. Free, convenient parking. Check in was easy and friendly. A mini fridge and microwave were provided. We enjoyed our stay and will return in the future.
- Rulkov (9/5): Superb -
- Michele (7/5): Worked for a brief overnight - in town for a wedding. - Convenient location but some freeway noise. Friendly staff. Rustic but clean. No coffee maker or availability in office. No standard TV, all PPV. Was told there might not be enough parking for both our cars, one might need to move onto the street.
- Carmella (10/5): - Very nice property. Close to main roads. Comfortable.
- alvis (10/5): - It’s clean and centrally located. Less than half the price of local hotels. Located just 100 feet from the 101 freeway, it’s slightly noisy. I would stay again.
- Rostchild (1/5): Bad - I didn't stay want to get my refund I stayed less than 55 minutes Trashy
- Freya (10/5): - A good price for a nice stay in Mill Valllry.
- Robert (1/5): Could not stay there moved to another hotel - Dated and poor facilities
- Margaret (10/5): - Small and quaint. Clean. It is in the frontage road, so you do hear some traffic, but in the room it wasnt bad. There isnt an air conditioner, however, the room faced South, so it was a comfortable temperature
- Arthur (6/5): Good location for cost - Room very simple. No liquid soaps. No amenities. Ok for the price and decent location
- Verified traveler (2/5): Bad service - In the reservation I did not realize the number of people but when I made the reservation I asked for a room with 2 beds, we were going as a family, the person who attended us asked for the numbers of the members and we told him the amount and he gave us the key and everything We were there for two days and the last night we only got to sleep because we weren't there but the lady came angry 😡 and said that we had to pay for each one and my wife explained to her that she agreed to give us the room and she made fun and said that she would talk to her police wing and charged an extra charge. I don't recommend this place 🙅♀️I give it a 0 Estella
- Janet (7/5): Good -
- Gabrielle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Corbin (7/5): Weekend Getaway - Proximity to coastal trails and grocery. Within a few minutes drive of Sausalito. Room was smaller than expected. Pics online made it seem bigger. Also a small dresser for clothes would be nice.
- Thomas (10/5): - good price and nice place
- Kat (8/5): Great Location! - We LOVE the location & friendly staff. We came back to stay again to work & visit Mill Valley. The 2 beds & 6 pillows, of various thickness were perfect. I need a thinner pillow, due to neck issues & there were lots of fluffy ones. The bedding & bathroom were very clean. We like all the tile & foux wood floor, rather than carpet. We love the fresh cool air & great shutters on front, back & bathroom windows. They also provide a large tower fan. We did tell the cleaning person, when we were checking out, the floor was dirty this time. I explained I wore clean socks & they were dirty, from walking in room #12 has one small bathroom mirror, that doesn't reach near the bathroom sink. One longer mirror, will allow short guests ability to use mirror. There is also nowhere to place soap in very nice shower. ( I might suggest they install a shelf or soap holder OR have shower gel, shampoo & conditioner dispensers, instead of individual tiny soap, etc.) We will be back AND we are glad to let hard working people know and of course, left a cash tip. These are minor things, that can be remedied. We do sleep well & love the location.
- Sharon (2/5): Very poor - Terrible Not Clean, noisy freeway sounds, not worth it. Run down.
