- christine (4/5): - Staff was nice but not many of them. Hotel was worn down, not maintained. Aircon didn’t work well. Nothing in the room. Overpriced for what you get. I won’t go again. There was also a cockroach in the bathroom- I realize this can’t be totally controlled but with everything else it didn’t help. Food was ok from kitchen. Overall disappointed for the price I paid. Rooftop pool was nice. But no service there- no towels…etc. kind of abandoned. Worth about 60-70/night
- haslinahyacob (6/5): Central location, nearby to museum, clean, modern room but towels look like they used for floor mats; raggedy and holey. - was asked by tour guide if i experienced anything here, so i googled about the hotel. Seems that it had another name and was destroyed in an earthquake. Anyway, i didn't experience any scary things. I slept well except internet is unstable and the towels are raggedy. First time i had such pathetic towels. :( Every night housekeeping would ring us to see if we need room service. Thank you.

- 760guilhermem (10/5): A week in Axana - My staying has been absolutely amazing , room is really comfy, food is tasty , staff crew is outstanding, couldn’t actually be in a better hotel. Surely I’m coming back . I’ve personally met GRO Alfano who is very, efficient, kind, respectful and helpful as he is a really great English speaker. He has reached and exceed all my expectations.

- yanka (10/5): Good, clean option. - My two friends and I stayed here for one night twice on our way to and from our boat trip. The hotel was great! Clean room and comfy bed. The rooftop pool was beautiful.
- InesW43 (2/5): The second time staying but getting worse - We made reservation for 2 bedrooms. We wait for 3 hours for check in. And only got one of our room. And another room we got for next two more hours. We understand maybe due too a lots of people that check out. But there was no complimentary offered. And when we got the other room key for the other room. And the front desk named RANTI WILORI very impolite. I talked to her she answered me without even look at my face. I asked for another key. Because when my kids went to swimming, we have to go out since no key. Need key for take the elevator. She didn’t want to help. Considering this hotel already disappointed for very late checking time. And I don’t know, is there any standard operating procedures in this hotel. How long you can neglected your guests and what you should do for make them feel better? I hope someone in this hotel can speak English so can reply this complaint!!

- Blu8Nel (10/5): AWESOME AND CONVENIENT - I travel to Padang a few times a year and always stay at The Axana Hotel. Good food, good accommodation and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I was especially impressed with Alfano Ganteng, he was very polite and went out of his way to ensure my stay at the hotel was pleasant.

Good service by Puteri at reception. However on arrival at 3.00pm 19th Feb, check-in, needed to wait for nearly 90 minutes for all rooms to be ready.

About to go to the room elevator broke down & had to wait for another hour. Quite a bad experience & may not want to consider to come to this hotel if we are here again.
- Maren (8/5): Gewöhnungsbedürftig - Das Hotel ist schon etwas älter und wird zzt (10.2018) teilweise renoviert, dadurch kommt es zu einigen Einschränkungen der Annehmlichkeiten . Während unseres Aufenthaltes war das Hotel (angeblich) ausgebucht, da während dieser Zeit ein Kongress im Hause stattfand. Außerdem ist die Luftfeuchtigkeit während der Regenzeit sehr hoch und kann in den Zimmern nicht reduziert werden, da die AC nur bei Einstecken der Hotelcard funktioniert. Auf den Fluren keine Klimatisierung . Internet auf den Zimmern fast unmöglich
- Ben (6/5): Basic rooms, overpriced, could be cleaner - Impressive lobby, nice roof-top pool with view and gym but actual rooms not really very good. I stayed in a "standard" room on the fifth floor. The hallway was grotty and in need of renovation. The room was also grotty with grime on the marble in the bathroom and writing desk. The AC didn't work very well so that setting it to 16C very slowly got it down to about 22C. Taped electrical wiring was showing beside the lighted mirror. Tthe shower recess did not drain towards the floor drain. This meant that there was always a pool of water which slowly seeped into the room and had ruined (warped and stained) the floating timber floor. Not a big deal, but an indication of need for renovation. Overall, good facilities, good breakfast, friendly staff, good location, but actual rooms (certainly the 'standard' ones) are in need of a very substantial renovation and upgrade and greater attention to detail by the exclusively young male cleaning staff. This left me feeling the room was relatively overpriced.

- DH (8/5): Nice hotel close to museum & beach - Stayed for 2 nights from 12-14/1 to attend my Niece wedding a bit disappointed while check in couldn’t find my booking but managed to get my room which I booked from SGP. The family suits is big n spaces with king size bed n one single bed. The hotel provided 4 stars hotel amenities, good gym facilities n there’s spa n Swimming pool at the roof TOP. Their staffs very good n attentive. Requested my room to be clean but I didn’t know why the housekeeper didn’t come n clean it so ended up I have to request new towels n toilet rolls. Breakfast was good too, everything is pleasant.
