From the moment we arrived the entire team didn’t just make us feel welcome, they made us feel special; they went to extraordinary lengths (room upgrade, massage vouchers, free lunches, they even Socrates our room to celebrate our wedding anniversary). The hotel itself is a lovely sanctuary in the heart of Siem Reap, but it was the service and friendliness of the entire team that truly made this a stay we will never forget!
- Carl (10/5): - From the moment we arrived at Golden Temple Boutique, we were treated with warmth and care by every member of the team. Victoria reached out shortly after we booked to offer help and local recommendations — from restaurants to cultural shows — and made us feel right at home even before we got there. She also helped us arrange a private van from Sihanoukville Pier to the hotel. The driver was professional, spoke both English and Khmer, and the van was spacious, clean, and air-conditioned — perfect for our group of six and all our luggage. The hospitality didn’t stop there. The front desk staff helped us make reservations at some of the best restaurants we’ve ever experienced. The rooms were spotless, cool, and incredibly comfortable. They even packed us to-go breakfast boxes for our 5am Angkor Wat tour, which was such a thoughtful touch. One of our favorite experiences was the traditional Apsara dinner performance right at the hotel — delicious food and a beautiful show, all for an extremely reasonable price. Golden Temple Boutique made our family vacation to Siem Reap truly unforgettable. We can’t thank them enough and would recommend them to anyone looking for a stay that goes above and beyond.

- Liz (10/5): - Out of this world service! Every single one of the staff members went above and beyond to make our stay extra comfortable and memorable. We got a room upgrade, a free bottle of wine, a free lunch and a free dinner at two Fine dining restaurants with transportation included, and a free spa massage during check in, for a price that we couldn't wrap our heads around (comparable to fraction of a dinner for two at a mediocre restaurant back home). The room was exceptionally clean and very spacious. Drinking water is provided. Breakfast is delicious, abundant and varied, with both, local and international options to choose from, and they even had a vegetarian menu with no extra charge. The typical dance show was very nice to watch. You can see the stories behind and how the movements of the dancers connect with their culture and way of living. I could go on and on sharing many details, but it will make my review boring 😉 Special shout out to: Nary, Theary, Vyctoria, Yuth, our tuk-tuk driver Seth, our taxi transfer driver Preng (a.k.a James Bond 😅), my massage lady Song, all the breakfast staff, and really everyone during our stay. Highly recommend the Khmer Journey massage by the way 👌

The staff are beyond great human beings you can just feel their kind energy all around the hotel. I normally don’t use the swimming pools at hotels, but it was impossible no to swim in this gorgeous swimming pool. The Spa area was fantastic, best massage ever. Food was delicious and they helped us arranging airport pick up and tours. 10/10

This hotel outshined all the hotels we stayed in Cambodia and we stayed at a lot. The staff was amazing. Each and everyone of them. They gave us our welcome drink and checked us in and went over everything.I let them know that I would be celebrating my birthday ahead of time and they DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! They set the room up so beautifully and they even came to my room and sang Happy Birthday. That was such a surprise! I just happened to have my phone in my hand when they rang the doorbell because I thought they were bringing the luggage in and when I opened the door, they stood there singing Happy Birthday to me with a fruit cake. I was touched!! With VIP, we were given a bottle of wine. The open bathroom was unusual but workable. Our room also came with a bathtub, although we didn’t use it. I loved that we could sit on the balcony and have a drink or sit on the sofa and just relax. The TV worked and I was able to watch YouTube or Netflix when not out on the bustling amazing Streets of Siem Reap. We dined in the restaurant a couple times. Service was great, the food and drinks were just okay, but it didn’t take away from our experience. Our only disappointment was we wanted to stay an extra night, but the cost was more per night than we had already paid so we decided to go somewhere else. Other than that, we had a marvelous time at Golden Temple.

The room was quite large too and the property location is ideal to get to the popular areas. Clean and comfortable rooms. It's only a 5 min drive to Angkor Wat.
- Yvonne (10/5): A home away from home! - We couldn't stay the first night at the Golden Temple Boutique, & stayed instead at the Golden Temple Villa. Joey of the Golden Temple Boutique warmly welcomed us. The bed in our room was beautifully decorated with fresh flower petals. For our first full day in Siem Reap, Joey arranged a private car & an English speaking guide to take us to Angkor Wat. While we were away, the staff moved our suitcases to the Golden Temple Boutique. Seamless! The guide was very knowledgeable about Angkor Wat. We walked through 3 temple areas. Each time, we arrived at an exit / entrance, the hotel driver met us, and offered us, in the vehicle, a refreshing cold wet facecloth, a bottle of cold water & a chance to cool down, before driving us to the next temple area. Before we went to Siem Reap, we arranged, through Joey, a private car to meet us at Siem Reap airport & one to take us back to the airport when we left. Joey also arranged a birdwatching trip, by boat, on the second day. It is easy to walk past the Golden Temple Boutique & not notice it. The entrance into the hotel, once you find it, is a calm & serene oasis, with running water, beautiful plants & flowers. The buffet breakfast was excellent with lots of choice, & we enjoyed other meals. Our room was large, well appointed & very clean. The staff, especially Joey, were wonderful & kind. We would love to stay again at the Golden Temple Boutique. Truly, a home away from home.

Although almost all tourists go to Siem Reap for the temples, but there is no need to choose a hotel “closer” to the temples, as I find it best to be close to where you will also spent time walking around, especially in the evenings going to restaurants and bars. First class service, large rooms, and always friendly and smiling staff. Note that the “Golden Temple” group has 5 hotels in Siem Reap so it’s important to know which one you are going to for Tuk-Tuks and taxis. I had reserved at the “Golden Temple Boutique” hotel but I was lodged across the street at the “GoldenTemple Residence” hotel which is the one I am reviewing.
- Scott (10/5): - We had a great stay here. Rooms and decor are very unique- like you are in a temple, but much more comfortable! Beds, pillows, AC, etc are all in great, new condition. Staff are super polite and accommodating - genuinely happy to have you staying with them. Breakfast was really good - better than other hotels we stayed at in Siem Reap (this is our second time visiting). Location is the best - restaurants, markets, and all sorts of shopping right here. We had our laundry done just a few meters away around the corner. Super convenient. We won’t hesitate to make this our home base again in the future.

- Lisa (10/5): You must stay here! - I have been to 40 countries and love a good hotel This was the best Not only was absolutely gorgeous and the rooms are large, but when I arrived I was told there was a complimentary bottle of red wine in my room, a $20 credit for the spa, which was outstanding and I went twice, they also included a complimentary lunch And each day when I came back from being out all day, the greeted me with a smile and an ice cold cloth to cool myself off If I needed anything, they attended to it immediately I can not say enough good things about this place You must stay here!!!

Walking distance from the main area so was great for me as a solo traveller, although you could also get a grab (tuk tuk) within a minute and spend less than a pound going anywhere you wanted to go. - Dionisis (10/5): Great stay - I had an excellent 3 night stay travelling solo. The staff were very helpful, friendly, polite, welcoming and professional. They had helped with arranging a great two day tour with Mr Kim. I really also enjoyed the spa services. Room was big, bedding great as well as all the cosmetics. Location very good for walking around, felt safe and everything was a short walk around the corner.

From the welcoming smiles of the staff from Joey in the front desk to Ratanak from the restaurant. To their amazing Manager. Everyone’s just incredible. A welcoming peanut, banana chips and refreshing lemon drink to start your experience. To cold towel offered everytime you come back after a long hot trip outside. The respect and accommodation that they made us feel. That’s not the end of this amazing experience. I was surprised not once but twice with an early birthday gift. First, I was watching the Apsara show and in the middle of the show, I found myself being greeted by all the staff with a Happy Birthday with Fruit Cake. Second, I came back from a long trip to Angkor Wat and entered my room. A full on Birthday Decorations were prepared in our room with Balloon, flowers and greeting cars. I was blown away, I was speechless. I am truly grateful for the experience and hospitality from Golden Temple Boutique. I will take this experience back to Los Angeles with my heart full of love for this place. Thank you! For all the other staff that I cannot mention by name, know that I am also grateful to you guys as well.

We were lucky to have Pho as our tuktuk driver for our 3 days of touring the Angkor Wat archeology site. He was a delight. Breakfast was wonderful. It is walking distance to markets, restaurants, and Pub Street, but it is also quiet and well soundproofed. The room is spotlessly clean. The bed and bedding are extremely comfortable.

I chose a blind masseuse as they support the visually disabled. What an amazing experience that was. Will speak about the superb Cambodian hospitality when we return to the UK. From the moment we walked into the hotel the staff bent over backwards to make us feel welcome. The room was huge and well appointed, we felt right at home. The building is solid and very quiet. All the stuff that we encountered were super friendly. We were staying here prior to meeting up with a group of friends at another property so we were only here for two nights, but after experiencing this hotel, I wish we could’ve stayed longer! Great location walkable to shopping and dining and Pub Street.

It is brilliantly located and has all the facilities such as pool, bar, spa treatments etc. But it is the staff that makes this hotel outstanding .They greet you with such warmth and beautiful, genuine smiles. It happened to be my birthday whilst there and our room was decorated with balloons & flowers petals and the staff all came to serenade to me in the room with the cake. Thank you so much for making my special day even more special. They definitely go the extra mile to make your stay as comfortable as possible . You will not be disappointed.

A complimentary bottle of wine and room upgrade were a lovely touch. The pool is clean and has sun and shade. The breakfast buffet was delicious. The rooms spacious and clean. Prime access to walk to (or easily grab a tuk tuk) to all major downtown attractions. Spa on site was also lovely.
- James (8/5): - Location was very good. Staff couldn’t have been nicer. The hotel set up a tour for us that was very good. The room was spacious. We found the bathroom dark and the soap and shampoo dispensers were not in the shower. We had to place them on the floor of the shower everyday and they were ceramic which could be dangerous if broken.

- Samrat (10/5): We stayed like royalty. - Absolutely amazing stay. The rooms were huge and very nice. Slight issue was that the AC struggled to cool the entire room because it was so big, but still nice. Amazing staff and service. We had Pikun as our personal assistant during our stay and he was the most helpful and nice person we've ever had the pleasure of being helped by. We felt like we were treated like royalty. The location was also very nice and convenient. Walking distance from Pub Street and Night Market. There's a nearby Laundry service (less than 1 min walk) that charges $1/Kg which is very cheap amd useful. They offered boxed breakfast when we had early morning excursions before 6am. Regular breakfast was decent, but I wish it was more obvious that certain items like meat slices and cheese were over ice so I could be confident in their freshness. The spa was great and very affordable to do once if combined with an$20USD/Person coupon that we had. Not sure if that coupon was due to or Loyalty status with Hotels.com or if everyone gets it. Very nice massage. Lastly, the hotel restaurant cost $39USD Per person for a 5 course meal with an Apsara show. The show was very nice to experience and should be seen by everyone coming to cambodia, but there are certainly more affordable shows available elsewhere. The show had some audio issues with the speakers, but great seats. The only downside, I didn't feel the food was worth the money. I didn't like the Khmer set I had. My wife's western set was decent.
- Trevor (10/5): Cambodia Tour - Really nice hotel and staff. Nice pool. I had a very nice upgraded room with balcony. I enjoyed breakfasts and had very nice lunch at hotel. Great location. Pub Street 5 minutes walk but I found it gawdy, tacky and touristy. Not my thing. There are less touristy bars and restaurants very near hotel. Overall a very nice stay and I would stay again.

And on top of that, the place is an absolute bargain.

The spa and spa staff are fantastic - some of the best massages I’ve received in Cambodia! - Melinda (10/5): - First, I want to start out by saying that Cambodia was amazing and was our favorite of the 4 countries we visited. While our stay wasn’t perfect, it was very good and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. The staff was amazing and treated us so kind kindly. Our room was huge, very clean and well appointed. Some things I would do different are that I would have skipped the suggested sunrise tour as you waste so much time in the dark and there was nothing special about it. We also took 1 tour via car (twice as expensive) and the rest in a tuk tuk and highly recommend the tuk tuks. It was our favorite part of our trip. You see so much more and feels more authentic. I would have skipped the spa even though it’s cheap- you get what you pay for. The #1 thing I didn’t expect in all of Cambodia was that you pay for everything in US dollars. It ended up being the most expensive country we visited, but it was still worth it. The majority of the money made is through tourism, and while it wasn’t crazy, expensive, it was definitely more than I was expecting. Overall, we had a great experience and highly recommend this hotel.

- Hong (8/5): - The room is clean, the location is good, staff are nice and helpful. Had a good experience overall untill I saw a lizard sitting on the desk when coming back from outside. It wasn’t a pleasant experience. For breakfast buffet, see little flies on fruit and desserts, maybe do not leave them uncovered.
- Rebecca (8/5): - The staff is very friendly and helpful and the rooms are exceptionally nice and roomy. The Magical Tour private tour they booked us with was excellent. The only downsides were the pool is really too small for laps and there is no gym. The area is downtown and an easy stroll from the night market, pub street, etc.
