• Barnaby (8/5): - It’s clean and relatively new great value for the money a 70 Baht ride by Grab car to Central mall. Was lacking a room safe, or a coffee pot. Laundry service is not always available as apparently there’s only one person handling that at the hotel. All in all, I enjoyed my stay very much.

The breakfast buffet was also good and the food always warm (in contrast to others hotels in Thailand where the food was often cold). The only thing was the WiFi. The internet connection was so bad that it was literally impossible to work. Impossible even to watch a Youtube video. So, if you plan to stay in this hotel and work from your PC by using the free WiFi, just forget it! Another thing: the hotel advertises about a fitness room open 24/7. Such a fitness room does not really exist. We are talking about a few machines (maybe 2-3) stationing at the end of the corridor, near the reception...

La mia compagna aveva il periodo e qualche goccia di sangue e finita sulle lenzuola , pretendevano 800 bath per il lavaggio ( costo pari ad una notte di permanenza in più… assurdo mai nessuno hotel di qualunque categoria ha mai fatto una richiesta del genere . In 48 anni di viaggi ho soggiornato in centinaia di hotel di ogni categoria , e questo piccolo incidente e capitato diverse volte . Alla fine , dopo vibrate proteste ho dovuto pagare 400 bath … assurdo . Hotel da evitare persona poco professionale e gentile .

• Sam (8/5): Nice budget hotel near the city center. - This hotel was a great find. It is well situated being an easy walking distance from the city center and central mall. It is a very clean with large, comfortable rooms that have great A/C. While it is not a flashy place (nor is it in a posh neighborhood) it is perfectly comfortable at a great price. Also there are lots of Aquariums in the lobby with beautiful aquatic life. Be sure to try the little GI 1960 restaurant next door!
• Joshua Marc (10/5): - Great hotel in Udon Thani. The staff here is excellent. We had a few issues with the room but they were fixed in no time...very responsive staff. The rooms are very nice, the breakfast is great & you can walk to Central Festival which is the center of town & adjacent to bus terminal. I highly recommend this hotel if your in Udon. Also a nice gym & fish aquarium.
• Kara (8/5): - A pretty decent place to stay - clean, quiet and comfortable. For me the only downsides were the location (it’s not super close to Centara Udon or restaurants, which meant quite a bit of walking in really humid, hot weather) and the breakfast had lots of meat dishes, which I avoided as a vegetarian. But all in all, good value for a night’s sleep!

• Matticus01 (8/5): Quiet and comfortable - Had a decent 1 night stay here. It’s walking distance to many amenities, including UD market. The bed was large and the hot water worked so I have no complaints. The hotel is tucked away and easy to miss. The offset from the road makes it a relatively quiet hotel compared to others in the area.
• suresh8030 (10/5): Reasonable priced Hotel with good service - 1) The staff is very helpful and assisted us to arrange our tours. 2) The hotel is situated within walking distance (less than 1km) to the Central Mall where hawker-style food is available. Recommended to go there for lunch as shops nearby only open in the evenings 3) The bars/pubs are also situated within walking distance (less than 1 km) 4) Night market/hawker stalls are also situated within walking distance (within 1.1 km) 5) Breakfast at the hotel is nice with varieties. 6 The hotel rooms are functional and very clean. I will definitely stay there on my next trip.

However the stay was spoiled at check out regarding a fine for blood on the bed sheets on day one. There was photo but I asked why I was not told on day one out of seven and what clear evidence have they about the exact location of the photo. I had the normal must pay but refused. I said call the police. I was told in a raised voice to leave. Not very pleasant from the reception staff. However it was a pleasant stay

• marilynmodiva (8/5): Clean, spacious, lovely staff, good location - We were very pleased with our room. It had lots of space and it was very clean. We stayed only one night and it was the perfect location for where we needed to be and leave from, as we took a bus from the central bus station to Bangkok. It only took us 15 minutes to walk to the bus station, super convenient, and only 5 minutes to walk to the night market. Would stay here again.

• StormSpear (8/5): I will add this hotel to my choice list - Based on a good amount of reviews, I decided to book this hotel for one night. On entering into the compound from Adulyadej Road, I saw that the facade of the hotel looks new and inviting. The layout of the lobby is simple with a sitting area on one side and an open gym on the other end. The checking in counter and lifts are in the middle. Checking in was a breeze with a 100 THB deposit. The assigned room on the 4th floor is spacious and looks new for a 3-star hotel. Full height cabinet, safe, flat-screen TV, soft bed & pillows, bedside table, shower set and etc. work fine and provided an ambient of comfortability upon the first impression. Water pressure is good and hot water seems manageable although sometimes not so hot; at this period of the month, the weather in Udon is still cold. Drainage for the shower was clogged and water can be flooded easily. Other than the drainage issue, everything works well. Breakfast doesn't have many varieties - just a simple mixture of Thai and some western menu. Nothing much to mentioned but was adequate for starting a day. Service staffs are cordial and checking out was also a breeze. Just return the card key and getting back my deposit - is this simple!. Given an opportunity to be in Udon again, Thanburi Hotel would certainly be in my list of hotel choice and I would recommend this hotel for good.

• Arun (4/5): - Thanburi hotel was. An average hotel. Like most a 300 baht security deposit is required . This in and of itself is no problem. However come checkout in the morning the receptionists acted as though they had no idea what I was talking about and refused to give me a refund. I speak Thai fluently so it was not a communication problem. Just a plain old fashioned rip off. Tbe staff even radioed the cleaners to see if the rooms were okay. We will not be staying here again.

• lizbert (10/5): Lovely Staff and Comfortable Accommodation! - I stayed here recently for 3 nights and had a great time. The room was beautiful, large flat screen TV, comfortable bed, room to store clothes, large mirror and amazing hot water showers! The towels made my showers even better! Tip: Put your bathroom floor mat outside the bathroom to avoid it getting all wet. Yes your floor will get wet after you shower but the floor tile material seems to be quick drying Staff are amazing and what makes this hotel so nice. Everyone including front desk, manager, maids, breakfast staff are lovely. I didnt know how to work my AC at first and the man (I think was the manager) came up right away. The AC is like western AC and something I have never seen in Thailand before. Impressive! Breakfast which is in an outdoor atmosphere was enjoyable, eggs, toast, asian food, cornflakes, fruit, coffee and tea. They work so hard clearing tables, all the dishes, and put so much love into making breakfast nice. Yes it is simple but everyone is so friendly and hardworking. They even have a little water area with big fish swimming and nice little landscape. Central Plaza Shopping Mall is about a 10 minute walk away through the back entrance. 30 minute walk away you will find McDonalds, Burger King and Villa Market. Yes they even have Dr Pepper and your imported needs! (Just ask someone for directions but I walked there in 30 minutes) Within walking distance to the hotel is 7-11, lots of restaurants and food. Maybe you will even find Mr. Mango man selling fresh mangos! The hotel arranged the taxi for me back to airport and it cost 200 baht. Lovely taxi driver too. Oh and the maids- they are some of the fastest maids around and excellent cleaning skills! They also have a lot of car parking space and wheelchair elevator. Like some of the other reviews, the hallway action can be noisy but it only lasts a few moments. Its easy to overlook it when the hotel staff are as nice as they are! Thanks for the wonderful stay!
• Lizzy (10/5): - Wonderful experience and would recommend to anyone. All staff very friendly and helpful. If you have a problem they go out of their way to help you. The breakfast staff are constantly busy trying to get people's eggs right or clear tables and all this hotel staff work hard and try their best. Plenty of hot water for showers, bed super comfortable, large flat screen tv, nice big towels, walking distance to 7-11, restaurants, shopping mall and 30 minute walk to Burger King, pizza, McDonald's, or villa market to get your imported needs met. The maids cleaned my room beautifully each day, refilled toiletries, extra toilet paper. We'll done!

• 505petera (10/5): Very comfortable place to stay - This is the second time I have stayed at the Thanburi Hotel. Price is reasonable. Décor is modern. Clean and well kept facility. Breakfast choices are good--they even will cook eggs to order. Staff are friendly and helpful. Both times I have stayed in the Standard King Room, which is a good size and would be comfortable for two. There's a small desk area that is perfect for working on my laptop, some table and shelf areas for backs and an open closet to hang clothes. About a 10 minute walk to the Central shopping mall, and maybe 20 minute walk to the UD Night Market. All in all a good place to stay.

The breakfast is ok with the price we paid. The water pressure in the toilet runs very slow. But it is ok. To conclude, we had a good stay. We can recommend this hotel. By the way, the parking lot is big enough.

• ocin757107 (8/5): Happy anniversary - I went in udon for second time, my girlfriend chosed this hotel for its a new hotel , my girlfriend surprised me to set up some balloons inside the rooms, i really glad what i saw, room is so big , everything new, the bed is so comfortable to sleep , softly pillow and bed cover , television is so wide big screen, bathroom is so nice , staff are attentively for your needs specially Bee and Ploy , they great staff willing to help you all the times, they are the asset of the hotel, we stayed there for three nights, around 500 metres to Central Festival Udon thani and 300 metres to market , its a convenient place for guest who want a party and shopping.

This is very important. Breakfast is not good. A lot of effort but food quality is poor. Recommend fewer items but better/fresher quality. Suggest making omelet or eggs to order as well. Pls use better quality coffee beans.

• AllensWA (8/5): Best Value and good location - We spent 3 nights at Thanburi with main intention to visit the Red Lotus Lake. The hotel is new and modern, comfortable bed, fast internet, shower water pressure is good and water is hot. Breakfast is ok, mostly local noodles and rice. There are fried eggs made ahead of time and bread for toast. Would be good if they have some fruits. However, with the price we paid, we are perfectly happy. Location is good, two minutes walk to Amazon Cafe and 7/11, 12 minutes to Central Plaza Mall where there are lots of restaurants and a supermarket. Night market is also about 15 minutes away. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. We are especially pleased with the arrangement they made for us to the Lotus Lake. We saw other's post of taking a taxi for 1800 bahts, or tuktuk for 800 bahts; the hotel arranged for us a tour including boat ride for 500 bahts per person and there was no other guests that morning so its like a private tour with a car for 1000 bahts. Will highly recommend this hotel.
• nik4444 (6/5): Pleasant but noisy - We booked here last minute and were happy when we pulled up and saw the hotel. Fairly ample parking and reception was immediately situated upon entering. Check in was quick and easy with pleasant staff. Room was lovely and spacious with a little balcony area. Bathroom was compact and very clean, but no protection from shower for the rest of the room so it all became very wet, a simple shower curtain or glass one would help. The bed was extremely comfortable but the pillows were huge and high resulting in neck ache in the morning and broken sleep. 😫 Breakfast was ample and very tasty.. There was also a lot of noise from people moving about in the corridors but not Their fault.. there is no sound proofing whatsoever so you can here people at the other end of the corridor:( For £20 inc breakfast it’s a very good price, but if you didn’t sleep well at all then the price is irrelevant. Would I return? Sorry probably not due to bad pillows and corridor noise.
• YoungGun (8/5): Nice stay at new hotel in the heart of Udon Thani City - Stayed at the Thanburi Hotel for one night and what a lovely hotel it was. Booked a Queen Room with Balcony for ฿900. Hotel is quite centrally located and is walking distance to Central Plaza, UD Town and the nightlife area. Spacious room with comfy bed and excellent shower facilities. Breakfast in the morning is buffet style outside on the veranda with the water feature behind with some stunning koi carp in the pool. Stayed at a number of Hotels in Udon Thani City now, and value for money this new Hotel is certainly at the top of my list now when I next visit.

Very good price/quality level, decent and quiet location in walking distance to the central plaza, bars, restaurants. As very often in thailand, the hotel shows already different defects and construction faults in the bathroom and furniture. Pretty noisy if cleaning team or guests are passing your room, big gap below door and floor. Friendly staff.

The breakfast wasn't terrible but if they were as good as the bathrooms this hotel would be so much better! The balconies are small and hot because they house the air con units. Great air cons! Good parking. I'd definitely stay again but maybe not pay for breakfast option?
