Highly recommended for anyo - Our stay at Dar Shaan in Rabat was wonderful from start to finish. The riad is beautifully decorated, clean, and full of charm, creating a very relaxing atmosphere. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making us feel at home throughout our stay. The only downside was the parking situation in Rabat, which can be quite frustrating. Around some parking areas, random people approach drivers asking for money to “watch” the car, which can feel uncomfortable and unorganized. Thankfully, this has nothing to do with Dar Shaan itself, which provided an excellent overall experience.

• Carolin (9/5): Geschmackvoll gestaltetes Riad, was kaum Wünsche offen lässt - Das Riad und auch die Zimmer sind sehr geschmackvoll gestaltet/ dekoriert und verbinden Tradition mit Moderne. Es liegt ruhig und dennoch zentral in der Medina und ist vom nahe gelegenen Parkplatz leicht zu erreichen. Das Personal ist aufgeschlossen und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück weicht mit Brot, Käse und Wurst positiv von der Norm ab. Für unseren Geschmack waren die Betten zu hart. Das trifft tendenziell allerdings auf die meisten Riads zu.

Reception staff were very welcoming and informative. When we needed to drop off our luggage early, they were more than helpful. Our room was on the groundfloor, and very spacious. Sadly, the weather wasn't great, so we were not able to take full advantage of the roof terrace and pool Compared to other Riads/Dars in Morocco (Rabat, Fes, Casablanca), the breakfast wasn't extraordinary.

• Fulya (10/5): - Für unseren eintägigen Aufenthalt in Rabat wollten wir kein beliebiges Riad wählen und haben uns bewusst für dieses wunderschöne Riad entschieden – eine ausgezeichnete Entscheidung. Das Riad ist sehr sauber, stilvoll eingerichtet und besticht durch seine beeindruckende Architektur. Trotz der zentralen Lage ist es angenehm ruhig und bietet eine entspannte, friedliche Atmosphäre. Das Frühstück ist sehr lecker. Besonders positiv sind auch die gemütlichen Gemeinschaftsbereiche, in denen man außerhalb des Zimmers wunderbar Zeit verbringen kann. Bei viel Gepäck empfiehlt sich die Anreise vom Flughafen mit dem Taxi. Auch der Bahnhof ist problemlos und kostengünstig erreichbar. Sollten wir wieder nach Rabat reisen, steht für uns fest: Wir kommen definitiv wieder in dieses Riad zurück. Nichts!

We hung out by the pool on the roof terrace for much of the day. The room was very comfortable. We stayed in for supper and the food was very good. Its location near the edge of the medina was a bonus. One valiant staff member dealt with supper for the guests who were on different levels. How he managed was extraordinary!

• Paul (10/5): A stay in the heart of a traditional Moroccan community - Dar Shaam is a traditional Riad style property in the heart of the Medina. Accessible via a narrow pedestrian street no more than 20 metres from the main road. A well maintained property, with pleasant well equipped rooms in traditional decor, on the floors accessible by lift or stairs. Breakfast good with self service and options for freshly cooked omelette etc available . The receptionists were very knowledgeable and helpful. All spoke English, French and other languages. A variety of shops and restaurants close by I would completely recommend Dar Shaam to any traveller who particularly would like to stay in the heart of a bustling local community. Nothing not to like

Taxi drops you at a point called 'Arivee Dar Shaan' on google maps and you walk down to the door. Property had great design and historic feel, room was big with an excellent bathroom and shower. The staff were all amazing, so friendly and helpful, getting us teas and coffees when we needed. Breakfast was delicious - tried some Moroccan breads which I got addicted to by the end. Great value and a memorable stay.

The Riad is truly beautiful, modern, and tastefully furnished. It is also clean, with a spacious and well-designed bathroom. Honorable mention goes to Zineb, the spa attendant, who pampered us with her massages and the typically Moroccan hammam, performed perfectly. Overall, an excellent riad in the heart of Rabat's Medina. Congratulations to all the staff and the owners!

Peu d’insonorisation et réveil le matin quand les autres clients passent et font du bruit. Abbiamo chiesto dei taxi dalla stazione e per l'aeroporto e la cifra richiesta è stata ben superiore a quella che avremmo pagato senza chiedere al Riad, capisco una minima differenza, ma 10€ a tratta è davvero un po' troppo. L'altra cosa riguarda il riscaldamento, mi sono assicurata che fosse presente perché so che in questo periodo può fare freddo, invece non funzionava (solo lo scaldasalviette). Dato che pioveva e c'era parecchio vento abbiamo avuto freddo.

Food was also very good from the restaurant. • manuela (9/5): 1st time in Marocco - Soggiorno di 2 notti (30 novembre – 2 dicembre) assolutamente perfetto. Era la nostra prima volta in Marocco, e Rabat ci ha accolto nel modo migliore possibile grazie a Dar Shâan. La struttura è raffinata ed elegante, arredata in autentico stile marocchino, con grande attenzione ai dettagli e un’atmosfera calda e rilassante. Lo staff è stato gentilissimo, disponibile e sempre attento, facendoci sentire accolti fin dal primo momento. Abbiamo prenotato il pranzo a base di cous cous direttamente nel riad: semplicemente spettacolare, uno dei migliori assaggiati durante il viaggio. Esperienza meravigliosa anche l’hammam: 45 minuti di lavaggio tradizionale seguiti da 45 minuti di massaggio, un vero rituale di benessere, eseguito con grande professionalità. Pulizia impeccabile e qualità altissima del servizio. Il rapporto qualità-prezzo è eccellente e la posizione è uno dei grandi punti di forza: nel cuore della Medina, centrale e strategica per visitare Rabat, ma allo stesso tempo tranquilla. Dar Shâan è stato il luogo perfetto per il nostro primo approccio al Marocco: autentico, curato e accogliente. Lo consigliamo senza esitazione N.a.
• Jacques (3/5): Esthétique mais pas confortable, beaucoup trop cher pour le peu de confort - Bonne cuisine, jolie déco, personnel aimable mais pas efficace ni professionnel Coffre-fort ne marche pas: on appelle la réception de l’hôtel, une dame vient, tout à fait charmante, "Avec plaisir Madame" mais le coffre-fort n'a pas marché de tout le séjour. Télévision: idem: un monsieur vient "Avec plaisir, Madame", a manipulé la télécommande pdt 5 minutes pour trouver les 50 chaines mais le lendemain et les jours suivants impossible d'obtenir une seule chaine! Chauffage glacial dans la chambre on appelle la réception, un monsieur vient "Avec plaisir Madame", il marche finalement! Douche glacée: après un certain nombre de demandes, on nous dit que le cumulus tout neuf est tombé en panne et qu'il faut faire venir la pièce de Casablanca donc pas réparable avant la fin de notre séjour. Les repas ne nous ont pas été facturés pour nous dédommager mais cela n'a pas rendu notre séjour de Noël en famille agréable ni diminué la contrariété d'avoir choisi cet hôtel peu confortable. Salle de restaurant très fraîche, impossible à chauffer car portes toujours ouvertes sur l'extérieur rendant les repas peu agréables alors que la cuisine était très bonne. Dommage
